Hello and Thank you all in advance.I have a 1st class, 10 day flex/global pass.Somehow...I ended up with some Business Class seat reservations. I made the reservations within the eurail app (paid extra) hoping to avoid any snafus. The tickets clearly show Business Class Seats and the correct Eurail (1st class) pass #. What should I do? Does the Eurail Pass even have Business Class passes? Thanks again.
We have just purchased a global pass and will need to travel from Penzance to London before getting the Eurostar. Will the pass be valid for what may be seen as two journeys within the UK, our country or residence?
My family and I (2 adults, 4 kids ages 10,8,7 & 4 at time of travelling) are headed to Europe mid-October to early December 2024. I am attempting to plan some travel throughout Switzerland, France & Germany avoiding many connections and for the most cost effective way. I don’t know whether to go for a Eurail global pass (10 day/2 months) or purchase individual train journeys. Any advice with the itinerary below would be greatly appreciated. Via raileurope.com (dates for travel not yet available as yet, prices based on times in March 2024) prices for 2 x adults, 4 x childrenOctober 14: Zurich - Interlakken direct $259October 24: Interlakken - Paris 1 change $550Ocotber 30: Paris - Strasborg direct $550Novemeber 30: Strasborg - Munich direct $370Total $1730Whilst this way isn’t as cost effective as 2 x adult Eurail global passes ($1414) I am unable to book the equivalent journey from Interlakken - Paris without it taking more than 24+hrs and going through 4-6 different countries.
HiIs there any promotion for global pass in 2024?
Help! I bought 3- 10 day Global Passes for my family to visit Paris and Germany starting on January 6th! It looks almost certain that there will be a German Rail strike starting on the 8th or 9th. We fly into Paris on the 6th, we were planning on Paris for 2 days than-Strasbourg (reserved seat on January 8th)-Stuttgart- then heading towards Munich, using the rails to check out day trips until we fly out of Munich. I have only reserved the Paris to Strasbourg High speed trail so far. Should I cancel the German hotels and try to reroute my Munich flight? Then go to the French countryside, Amsterdam or Switzerland. Or rent a car and drive in Germany and hope to get some compensation back? Right now all my German hotel reservations are refundable. It’s only the flight from Munich to Dublin that I might lose my money on. Are these stikes typically only a day or 2. I’m afraid that I will only be able to use 2 days of a 10 day ticket. But I do not want to be STRANDED my first time o
Hi Community, Looking into the EuroRail pass for 7 days, with travel from Paris to London on the Eurostar on the agenda. Is this achievable with this pass? After looking through the forums I’m no closer to understanding if this is achievable? Thanks for your help.
Hello, I am 24 years old. I would like to purchase Eurail Global Pass. Eurail Pass Agency is selling adult passes at a lower price than youth passes, so I'm going to buy adult passes. I'm wondering if I can buy an adult pass and board the train
Hi all,I wondered if someone can shed some light on whether there is a guaranteed Eurail pass seat reservation quota for every Eurostar train, or whether only specific routes at specific times have a pass quota (and can the quota change depending on the demand for direct ticket bookings on eurostar.com)?The reason I ask is that I’m planning to travel with my family by Eurostar from London to Brussels in mid July. When I look at tickets on the Eurostar website for our day of travel there are some trains that are showing as fully sold out (for economy seats). Given the seat reservations for Eurail pass holders open up 6 months in advance, I’m wondering if it might still be possible to reserve a seat with the pass on trains that show as fully sold out? I’m guessing not, but thought I’d ask the experts on here!cheers,Nick
Hi, Im new here, need to ask - as I am visiting France and Then Zurich and then back to france, so what is better for me, Eurail Pass or France Pass or Swiss Pass.I was thinking France Mobile Pass and Swiss Pass should do. Please Suggest.
Hi. Couple questions for the group.1. Is it worth purchasing a EU Rail pass? I know this is a general question, but we have not travelled Europe by rail before. Or is it better to just book individual tickets?2. We are trying to book tickets from Paris to Bayeux return at the end of March and it shows lots of Paris to Bayeux options but zero options from March 25th onwards for the return option. Is there a planned interruption at this time? Train shows “not bookable”
hello need help we just received this message: Your Interrail pass expires in 6 weeks - You still have time to choose your destination, activate your pass for the first day of travel and experience unforgettable moments!Activate my pass. I understand, are we going through these active or not?
Hey there,I would like to travel from Cologne to Paris this Friday with my Interrail France Germany Pass.I've already read here in the forum that I can't travel directly from Cologne to Paris because the train goes through Belgium and that's not included in my pass. I would like to make sure that I have understood everything correctly:If I take the ICE from Cologne to Frankfurt, from Frankfurt to Karlsruhe and from there to Paris, is that ok? The journey still takes place in one day.And another question: Do I still have to reserve a seat on the ICE from Karlsruhe? It's a German train, but it goes through France, so I'm not sure.I'm a bit scared of this, as it says everywhere that you can't travel through your own country with the Interrail France Germany Pass. But I have to do it to get to France at all, don't I?Thank you very much for your help and best regards!
Hello, I’m planning to go Paris from London on the 28th of December 2023. I just need this one-trip as I already pre-booked other transportation methods for the remaining destinations of my trip. Does anybody know if I can buy a one-day pass on Eurail?
Hola. ¿Quisiera saber dónde y como se pagan las reservas de asientos del eurail pass móvil (app descargada en mi teléfono móvil)? Gracias.
I am planning a 3 day train trip to Vienna and Budapest from the cologne. Can you guy give some recommendation about the train journeys, sight seeing and affordable hostel bookings based on your past experiences? Thanks

Hello all, I am planning to do a domestic travel within France with my partner, however he’s not a pass holder. The only way I’m aware of is for me to book on travel.b-europe.com for myself as a pass holder, and for him separately on other sites. Which would also mean we would not be seated together as we’d like. It’s quite important for us since we rarely see each other. My question is : is there any other way for us to book together even though he’s not a pass holder? I’m a new user so I don’t know much.Big thanks in advance for all the replies!
Hey - We are off on a short 7 day trip Jan 1-9 and We are going from Paris to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Bruge and Bruge to London - but I am so far only able to get a reservation for our Eurostar from Bruge to London Jan 5th. Question is - if there are no reservations for the fast trains - can one wait around the train station for a couple of hours with hopes to get on the trains - or will more reservations slowly appear?Should I keep checking back to see if reservations show up for some of our travel days or ask for a refund and book tickets normally?
i was planning a trip to swiss alps, but my family is not skiing, so not worth it. Asking for help planning 10 days in europe. i need an itinerary that allows us to see as much as we can in a short time. flying in to one city and out of another to maximize places visited would be great. thanks

Can I just clear up the advice about the Glacier Express.I planned on taking the 08:20 EC train to Brig and then travelling on to Andermatt, From what I understand, the 10:18 (PE902) is the Glacier Express, which would require an (expensive) reservation. However the 8:20 EC would only give me a narrow window to make the connection. If I look at a Milan to Andermatt booking, it takes me from the 8:20 EC to R43 which leaves at 10:23. In an earlier post it was suggested that I book the 11:23 Brig to Andermatt, which is the R43. Should I be taking the PE902 or R43? What’s the difference?
