Hello! My country od residence is Poland, but I am currently in Germany (where I am not a legal resident) and I was hoping to start my trip from here. Is it possible to start a trip in a different country than the one that is my country of residence? And can I choose not to use outbound or inbound trips to my country of residence, cause I am not planning to go to Poland on my trip? Is it mandatory to use outbound and inbound trips or can I simply not visit my country?
What happens if my seat reservations have been returned to sender? They were sent to my accomodation who weren’t available at the time of delivery (and didn’t go to collect as promised) and subsequently have been returned to sender which is Eurail. I’m really counting on these seat reservations. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi team, Soon I will be landing in London with Plans to go to Worcester, Birmingham, York, Edinburgh and Amsterdam. Wondering if the Eurorail pass is worth it? Advance tickets on British trains seem to be much cheaper, but I don't want to be locked into having to get specific trains. For this reason, the Eurorail seems more flexible . Thoughts?
Hi,I try to book a seat reservation for Dimitrovgrad to Halkali, but on the Interrail website that is impossible. All trains look fully booked. On this forum I read that most trains are half empty. Is it recommended to take the change and try to reserve a seat in Dimitrovgrad? Thanks.Vincent
Hi,A group of us originally purchased 5, 4 day Global Rail Pass tickets for our travels next month. Our travel plans changed, and we had to book tickets into Paris instead, so we need to take a trip from Paris to Amsterdam. Not knowing, we purchased 4, One Country passes thinking this was basically just adding an additional day to our Global Rail Pass (and when we went to book seat reservations, we realized this was not the case). Is there something that we could do? I would love if we could add an additional day to our Global Rail pass that we purchased already. Could we just merge our One day pass with our 4 day passes? Thank you.
We are returning to Edinburgh from Cologne on 27 July a strike day. We can get to London as Eurostar say they are running but too late for our connection which is after LNER have ended their service for the day due to the strike. Can we use our pass the next day?
Thalys has sent me an email this morning saying that my train from Bruxelles to Paris has been cancelled due to rolling stock problems. The company website says that all trains from Bruxelles to Paris are cancelled from 01/08 to 07/08, so I can’t rebook a train on the same day and I have to ask for a refund. Thalys says that I have to contact my initial point of sale, that is Eurail.com. How can I obtain a refund?
We’ll start using our 3-month global passes soon and I’ve set up a Trip with journeys - how do I share this with my partner’s phone? The dropdown only lists Edit / Duplicate / ShowInWidget. And where does this widget appear after creation? Nothing shows up on the home screen.
Hello,I could really use your help!I am leaving tomorrow to fly to Europe. I have been trying to Connect my pass to a trip but I can’t. I have a mobile pass, but when I try to connect a pass, it’s asking for my paper pass info. I don’t have a paper pass.(I purchased the pass that is good for 4 trips in a month.) I am trying to book 29 July, at 9am Edinburgh to Paris, among other trips. But they won’t connect. I was able to book and connect my mobile pass for the first trip I booked. But none since. What do I do to get it to connect to my mobile pass and not have it ask for the printed pass?I have reinstalled the app and tried it on different devices. Thank you in advance!!!
I am trying to book a reservation for the TGV from Paris to Barcelona on the 15th (September). Now I’ve read about the issues with Spanish rail companies and having to book tickets locally, at the train station and I’ve been trying to perhaps book via SNFC or RENFE online, but how do i make sure I don’t end up paying the full price? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming these tickets are still covered by the Global Pass. Could anybody help me out with possibilities to still book my ticket in advance? I’ve seen several numbers I'm able to call but, again, I'm not sure how to get the ‘discount’ of the Global Pass. This is my first time traveling by train and I would appreciate the help tons, thanks!
I last used an Interrail 30 years ago as a young man, I’d love to go again with my son, but the awful ‘reservations’ problems that I’ve been learning about on almost all trains in France and Spain (also elsewhere) is making me think twice!!I really don’t mind paying E10 for a reservation on a high speed French train or E8 for a Spanish train, but the huge bureaucracy involved just to make a reservation seems ridiculous, in 2022! Phone calls, ticket offices, calling German railways, Belgian railway website, cover numbers, what the hell is going on! Without reservations you can’t easily plan - OK if you’re a student with 3 months to spare, not so good if you’ve only got 7-10 days.However, I do understand that Interrail Management can’t control the policies of national railways. So the main subject of this post is: are the Interrail Management aware that there are 2 simple things they could do to make their customers’ lives much, much easier? I wrote my driver’s license number on the passport number. But, It was changed to Sent in the Order overview. So, I’m worried that the wrong driver’s license number will be printed on the Eurail pass ticket.Do i fill in the passport number on the Eurail Pass ticket by myself? The passport number will not be printed and sent, right? If so, I can’t use the Eurail pass because my license number is entered instead of the passport number.
Seat reservation: no reservations in my profile but still received the e-mail confirmation and tickets
Hi travellers!As mentioned in the title yesterday I booked my seat reservations and received the email confirmation with all my tickets. But today these reservations still don’t appear here on my profile in the interail website. Is it everything ok or you think I might have some problems? Tickets seem fine to me and I received all of them without any problems. Just a bit confused about the missing seat reservations here on my profile as I said. Hello! I have made a trip on my account and added a friend as a traveler while making all my reservations and travel days. Do I need to connect their pass to it? Their pass had been activated and I have shared my trip to their account but they won’t connect. Should I not have activated their pass?
Hello!I need to buy a train ticket from Firenze to Basel. On the railplanner it says there is a trip from Firenze SMN to Milano Centrale, then Milano Centrale to Arth-Goldau, then Arth Goldau to Basel SBB. I can buy a train tickets for all these section except the Milano Centrale - Arth Goldau, for which the website says “Tickets unavailable”. It is an “EC” Eurocity train. Why can’t I buy it on this website? Can I only go through the rail planner app to buy the ticket for this section of the trip? Also, I’m not too familliar with the train system in Italy, are the trains usually on time? Are there often train problem?How much time do you think is needed to switch trains at Milano Centrale? Thanks so much!
A few days after receiving reservation e-tickets, they dissappeared on reservation overview page. Is this normal?

Hello,When I would like to use a 25% discount (for Piz Gloria for example), as a holder of the Interrail pass, is it required to go on this excursion on one of my travel days? Or may this excursion be planned on an no-travel day as well (still receiving the discount)? We are staying close to the start of an excursion and it would help not using 1 of our travel days when planning our trip to the Piz Gloria :).Thanks a lot in advance!Best regards, Max
