Get ready to travel
To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more
I'm sure this is a redundant question but I want to make sure I don't mess this up! I just bought the 7 day Global Pass for my husband and I for a trip that doesn't start until April 2023. I added both to the app on my phone. My app is attached to a trip and his is attached to a separate trip because the app said it can't be added to the same trip as mine. Was that correct? The next step says to activate, but do I do that now or in April just before the 1st day of travel ( which will be the day we travel to Paris from London). Next...I want to purchase the tickets for the London to Paris train now. When I purchase those on Eurail or another site, will it ask for my pass number? Then...do I go back to the app and add those to our respective trips and can that be done without activation?
I am Jyoti, I was using my Eurail pass (one day) to travel to Amsterdam from Berlin. It's a monthly pass with 4 days travel with EU. You can activate the day you want to travel within the pass, the day you want to travel. I added my journey yesterday from Berlin to Amsterdam via train ICE 140 i.e on 7th May 2023, departing at 16:05 from Berlin HBF. The train was cancelled on reaching Hannover HBF. Since, it was already very late i.e. around 21:00 once the train cancellation was informed and officially train was closed- I decided to return back to Berlin. I couldn't contact the customer service in Hannover since already around 100+ people were standing in line to collect a refund or stay in Hannover. The reason I am am reaching out here is that in my Eurail Pass - there is only 1 inbound and outbound journey for my home country. Since I used it yesterday on this train, I cannot use it anymore. So, I request to please let me know how to proceed in this manner?
Hi community, I have Eurail Italy pass and I would like to know if I can board bernina express from st.mortiz to Tirano. I already made the seat reservation but not sure if my Eurail Italy pass covers the ticket. From Eurail app it did let me get the ticket but unsure if this is valid. Does anyone have experience traveling on Bernina using Eurail Italy pass.
Hello :)I know that I need a reservation for most of the nighttrains. Do I need a seat reservation on day , too? And how do I regonize? For example I want to drive from Stockholm to Kopenhaven. Is it possible to get in every train without reservation and in case of no free seat sit on the floor? Actually I bought the interrail pass to move freely. Didnt know you have to reservate a lot of trains month before 😅 Thanks you guys :))
My eurostar reservation (with interrailpass 4 days in Europe) for Londen-Brussels on sunday 21 May has been cancelled.... This was supposed to be my 4the trainday and inbound day back to my home country Belgium. I can't change my reservation, website is down for changing dates. I got the cancelations email at 11 am and tried to change tickets at 12 am but already website was down. When I trie it now, I stiml can't get through. When I select new dates and trains that have open seats, I still get the 'Oops, something went wrong' page when I trie to confirm the changes.Additional problem is that I made the reservations on the belgium website, SNCB, for me and my sister. So I have to change 2 tickets from 1 reservation and we are not going to take the same trains as my sister still has 2 weeks of and would travel further in the UK, now that our returntrain has been cancelled. I have tried to reach Eurostar by phone en through their contactform, but don't seem to get through. If I try to cha
I want to go by bus from Murjek (Sweden, Norrland) to Kvikkjokk. The provider is Länstraffiken Norrbotten , which is listed as participating by Interrail (www.interrail.eu/de/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/railway-companies). But I can’t get a ticket: Kvikkjokk is not listed at all, for there is no railway station.

I need to make Spanish reservations by phone tomorrow (= less than 72 hrs before I arrive in Spain), using the number given on this site. Can anyone tell me, do they have to email you the reservation number(s), or do they just read them out to you over the phone? My Spanish is OK, but I can see I might have problems either writing down “ERRE… CHOTA… THERO...” etc, or else spelling out my email address in the same way! Thanks for any info - it doesn’t seem to be explained on the Spain reservations instructions page.
Danke,Christine
I’ll be flying into Rome from Australia (my residence) and travelling through Italy with my last day in Bolzzano. I will be buying a multi day Italy Pass.. From Bolzanno I will be cathing a train to Munich before flying onwards. (I maybe stopping in Innsbruck for lunch on the way to Germany) It wll be a day time trip...Question 1 - Will this last day where I exit from Italy to Germany be covered all the way to Munich or does the pass end at the border? Quetsion 2 - Does the Italy pass allow access to DB or OBB etc even if it is just to the border?
I have 2 questions about the app, I searched but couldn't find an answer. Why isn't there a normal calendar when searching for a train? I'm planning a trip more than 2 months from now, and my finger is getting very tired of clicking over 60 times the right arrow to go to the next date. And if there is a real clickable calendar, can you please tell me where to find it?Is there a bug in the app? After I added a train to my itinerary I can't open it, the little downward arrow is dead, meaning I can't see all the stations where a train stops, I can't see the facilities on a train, and most important: I don't see the link to reservation options. I don't want to delete the app and install it again, as I'm afraid I'll lose all trains I already added to my itinerary. Please tell me what to do to repair this.
Does it matter that I can’t book on the Eurail pass site and therefore can’t see the trips on my pass app? Both times I have booked a night train. The first from Berlin to Budapest we had to have a seat reservation and booked it through OBB using our pass details. Then the second, from Amsterdam to Zurich, showed it was available and included but wouldn’t let me choose it to make the seat reservation that was recommended - ie my cart was empty. So I have also booked on OBB. Just wondering if it matters that I can’t book them on my pass. Or if I am doing something wrong/not seeing something obvious in the process. Thanks, any help appreciated!
I have a eurail global pass Could anyone kindly advise me is there another way to book this train (Zürich HB to LESCE Bled or Ljubljana on 15 July 2022) without making international calls? I live in Hong Kong and it can be quite expensive to call a number in Switzerland
Trying to book the ‘reservation needed’ leg (Rotterdam to Antwerp 9.58 train Sat 22 April 2023) of my Leiden to Bruges journey. Eurail site says no reservations available and can’t get any further with later trains (won’t go to ‘Make Reservation’ option). Tried direct with Thalys, but they are not showing the 9.58 or indeed any other departures at all. Are there alternative ways of finding out if indeed reservations are all taken, and what the alternative options might be? I’m a newbie (last interrailed in 1974) so just trying to work out the system… Thank you.
Hello everybody, I would like to book Zurich-Rome (5th of June). I see many options (I would like to do only 1 change in Milan) but I can’t book it through DB-Bahn or OBB or Trenitalia. I just don’t have the options available on these companies. This means that my only options to book it is the Eurorail website? Until now I traveled almost everywhere in Europe and I never done with Eurorail reservations system, avoiding fee and higher prices for each reservation(for example, in Spain it was displayed 25 euros for first class, at the Renfe office just 13 euros).Regards,Marco
If I book/reserve a trip from North Germany to Bordeaux, can I stay one night in Karlsruhe and continue the next day, or do I have to leave Germany on the first travel day? If I get off the train on the first day already in Germany, would I have to pay seperately to get to the french border on the 2nd day and charge then my global pass for the 2nd trip (e.g. Strasbourg - Bordeaux)?
