To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more
Hi!I would love some feedback. I am considering buying a interrail ticket for the more expensive parts of my trip as especially the ones in the beginning have had a premium price on the traintickets. I believe all tickets can be booked on the interrail site, but the reservations is done here and there? Is it possible to check if there is any interrail tickets left without buying the pass?I think I need to book the Barcelona - Nimes seat reservation as soon as possible if its not already sold out right? When it comes to bookings in france on the site SNCF, how do I know if I buy only the seat reservation and not the tickets also but only the seat? I’m considering getting the 1st class ticket as there might be more potential spots on the trains? My itenary is as follows :Spain flying to Barcelona (start)Francetrain to Nimes, train to Nice,Italytrain to Milan, train to Venice,Sloveniatrain to Ljubljana,Croatiatrain to Zagreb, bus to Split - (looks that buses are the best option here? 6h train
Hi,I had come up with the idea of doing a nice trip with my brother from Budapest to Helsinki, stopping in a lot of countries we have never been to. However, deepening my research in this page, I have come to understand that:there is pretty much no train from Warsaw to Helsinki, it would all be buses + ferry some countries are really pass-friendly but others are not Our desired travel dates are from 1st to 15th Aug. Would you be able to tell me what itinerary could I do that is train-friendly and that does not involve Germany / Italy or anything West of that, since we have visited all those countries? I know the question is very open ended, but truly any tips will help. Have spent hours soaking info on this forum, but most of the questions I find are for Western Europe. Thanks!
This will sound very stupid but I have not booked any seat reservations yet for my interrail trip I am currently on, and I need to travel from Hamburg to Copenhagen tomorrow, 9th of July. Can anyone help with seat reservations? I keep receiving error messages from the interrail website and the countries train line websites.
Hii,I’m an Italian traveller and I have a question on how to travel in your own country: on the website i found that “you can use one travel day to leave your country of residence (outbound journey) and one travel day to return (inbound journey)”. But that’s my question: We strart our journey from Milan and we want to reach Munich, but we have to change train in Verona. Can we do this thing or we can only book one train?
I have a First Class Interrail Pass though, when I booked Eurostar seat reservations via SNCB, only Standard and Business class reservations were options on the screen. I booked Standard ones (as Passholder seats were disappearing quickly) though want to change to Standard Premier seats that are covered by my First Class pass, even paying a small upgrade charge. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to do this via Eurostar/Interrail/Eurail/SNCB. Currently there are no spare Standard Premier seats left on my outbound journey, though there are on my inbound one. This forms one of the reasons I bought I First Class pass. Any suggestions please? Thanks.
Hello! We are traveling from London to Paris and then throughout Germany. I have not bought our passes yet and have a few questions - Where it says seat reservations required with an amount, is that the extra amount we will pay to ride that train on top of the global pass, correct? We cannot use the Global Pass throughout London and Paris, correct? We are only stay a couple of days each there and I assume using the city transportation. If I am using the app and I check ‘Interrail/Eurorail Pass network only’ then I can see the exact trains we can use this for, correct? It’s showing I can use it throughout Germany, correct? Thank you!!!
Hello, I was wondering about a night train. Basically, I'd like to take the night train from Vienna to Zurich. At first, with the interrail app, it said that you didn't have to reserve a seat for this night train, so I didn't. But I realized a short while ago that the train was now fully booked and that you couldn't reserve any more. What's more, on a page of the interrail website, it said that you had to book for most of the trains. So I wanted to know if I could still get on board knowing that we could no longer book but that on the app it said we didn't have to book? Thanks for your help !

Dear Interrail Team,I have requested an exchange of my 2020 global pass after my journey was interrupted due to covid measures in spring last year. Following your advice I asked for exchange at the train station where I purchased the original pass. The staff there had no clue and told me to contact Interrail directly. That's what I did more than a week ago and I'm still waiting for a reply. I want to start traveling on 11th August and would really appreciate your reply before that date. Thanks,Marco
Hi folks! I’m traveling from Alba to Zürich in September and have booked my seat reservations on the train, however I’m unable to book the same time for my travel day since the time does not exist on the rail planner app! Im supposed to take the route that starts 06:07 (earlybird I know), but the earliest journey the app shows me is 07:07. Also the rail planner app shows different trains than the reservations I’m offered. What would you guys do? Any advice?
Hello, I was trying to plan my trip and I have a question! I am from Greece and I want to travel to Poland, so I want a ticket from Greece to Poland and another to return. When I choose Poland in the map it says that will cost me 51 euros for 3 travel days. So is this pass available only for Poland or I can travel from Greece to Poland and back with the same pass?
How can i travel from Madrid ---Barcelona---Perpignon in Regional Trains? Where can i check the timetables for train : Madrid -- Barcelona Barcelona--Perpignon Are all the regional trains of RENFE/SNCFA trains covered by Eurorail pass , which means i don’t have to pay extra for these trains ?
I will be taking some trains that do not require a reservation. I have a mobile pass and have added the trips I will be taking to my pass. I can see the QR code on the app, is there any thing else I have to do like print a physical ticket? Or do I just board the train with just my eurail pass with the trip active? Because I don’t have a PNR code since the trips are only on my eurail app. Thanks.
How do you work out if it's worth getting an jnterrail ticket? Does anyone have experiences to share?
Checking if others have made a similar journey to see if an interrail ticket for a family of 4 (1 youth, 1 free, 2 adults) makes sense if travelling from Cardiff to Gothenberg via Brussels, Hamburg and Copenhagen this July.
Hi Eurail Team, I purchased my tickets back in Feb20 to travel but couldnt because of Covid. The borders are opening up and i would like to exchange my current paper eurail passes to mobile one to use in my upcoming trip. I have tried to call the agent who sold me the tickets, howver found out they have been liqudated. And i have contacted Support and they have asked to wait 48 days. It has been 72 hours with no response. I am travelling to Europe in May and wish to get an extension on my Global passes in order to use them. I look forward to hearing from you. Linda.

I booked my reservation until Hamburg Harburg instead of hbf. How can I redo the reservation to include the missing part?
Hi! I need to go from Basel ssb to Hamburg hbf but when I looked at my reservation I realised that I had only booked my reservation to Hamburg Harburg. How can I redo my reservation to include the missing part of the journey too?
