Evening all.I hope you are all well. I would like some advice and tips about using the global pass (specifically 3 month pass) for our travels around Europe.I have looked at various videos and reviews on YouTube regarding this way of travelling and most positive although, there are some that are negative and they do highlight some important issues.One guy was saying about reliability and frequency of trains in eastern Europe?  can anyone confirm if this is the case please? Also apparently the train station names do not match with what is on the app so it can be a tad confusing according to the reviewers. Can someone who has travelled recently using the Interrail pass please advise on anything you think we should be aware of? We want to try plan in advanced as much as possible and to start our trip early-,mid next year and would appreciate all feedback, tips and advice.We understand that we have to make reservations in certain countries. Hi, my friend and I are thinking of traveling around Europe from mid May until Mid July, the current plan is to stay in hostels and use workaway for accommodations. We'll be moving around every 3-4 days so I'm not entirely sure what our destinations are yet exactly. She has a dual citizenship in UK and Bulgaria, so we didn't think about it until now, but will it be fine to just go without and if not is there a blanket visa I can get because we're thinking to go to about 13-15 places and may use workday multiple times and i don't know what visa's I would need.Thanks.

Next month I wish to do a part of my interrail through Poland. Suddenly, by reading online and looking at the booking tool on the interrail app I realised there are some major issues in boking trains inside and in/outbound the country. Can I ask if someone with more experience with the Polish Railway system an its booking mechanism can give me a hand to figure out if it is worth it to use my pass for Poland?

Hi,I’ve used an incorrect pass cover number to book Eurostar and TGV lyria reservations. We have paper passes, will this be ok or will I need to contact someone to try and change the reservations?

Can the pass be used on any of the ferries to cherbourg as the planner won’t allow me to route any way apart from eurostar. I was looking at portsmouth to cherbourg . thanks

I plan to travel from Sweden to Switzerland in mid December using my Interrail pass and - as I currently don’t have a GA/Half fare card - use one of my three I/O-days to reach my hometown near Lucerne. As I arrive in Basel from Hamburg by night train, I will arrive at home hopefully in the late morning.  So far so easy.Now I have the idea to make a round trip to Bern for visiting some friends in the evening of the same day. According to numerous posts here in the community, I can use my Interrail also for those trips.SBB, on the other hand, clearly states on their website, that I may use the I/O days only for travelling once to and once from the boarder stations or the airports. This post here in the community suggest that (at least some) train staff is rather strict with that rule.My question is: Should I rather buy a separate (expensive) ticket for the round trip or is it indeed legal to use my Interrail?

I bought an Interrail Pass a couple of days ago and after that I booked the mandatory reservation for the Eurostar to London. Now I would like to exchange my Interrail Pass (from 4 days to 5 days). My question is: Will my Eurostar reservation still be valid for the new Interrail Pass although I had to enter the pass number during the reservation process and the new Interrail Pass will have a different pass number? (I am talking about the Interrail pass number, not my passport number!) My new Interrail Pass will of course be valid on the day I made the reservation for and it will still be a Global Pass, 2nd class, like the previous one. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I am currently planning my first trip to Istanbul. From Istanbul, I would like to follow the itinerary recommended by the Interrail website at this link (departing from Istanbul to Paris): https://www.interrail.eu/fr/plan-your-trip/trip-ideas/recommended-routes/classic-routes/london-istanbul-train-route However, I can't find any recent articles confirming that I will be able to travel from Istanbul to Sofia and then from Sofia to Craiova in March. Can anyone confirm that these connections exist? If so, which European cities can be reached from Istanbul? Thank you very much in advance for your help !

Help needed - I'm trying to organise an itinerary for my 19 year old daughter and myself for December 25 Jan 26. With the schedule I’ve currently organised all we will be doing is sitting on a train travelling from town to town. SHe’s here for 3 weeks. What is the ideal amount of travel v’s staying in one town/city. Currently she flies into Frankfurt, then I thought 2 nights in Amsterdam, 3 nights in Munich (we have family here), then 4 nights in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for Christmas. Then Venice for 1 night, Milan for 2 nights, Nice for 1 night, Barcelona for 3 nights, Paris for 3 nights then back to Frankfurt for 1 night as that’s where she will fly out from.Is this too much travelling around? Should I cut one or two places out and concentrate on the other destinations. THis is VERY hard. Open to all suggestions.Thanks

Hello everyone, I will start my journey in Spain and I will travel to Germany (my home country). After this journey I will travel back to Spain. So for example at day 3 I will travel from Paris to Germany  and at day 4 I will travel from Germany to Paris and continue my journey to Spain. Can I use the in- and outbound journey days in this order when my home country is Germany?  Thanks for your help!

I will be travelling around Germany in December. Frankfurt > Cologne $Euro111Cologne > Nuremberg $Euro159Nuremberg > MunichMunich > Vienna I find that the Eurail pass seems cheaper at 2 pax for USD $500.Whereas the DB train ticket price is as above. Are there any cheaper options out there still?Would also like to check is it a must to do seat reservation?

I am booking a trip from a town in England via London St. Pancras to Nuremberg. I put my departure time as 5 in the morning and it gives me the two legs of the journey with times, but I want more time to cross London and to go through passports etc. I cannot see how I can say I want to leave St. Pancras on a later train.

I’m planning on doing a future trip to Austria. I can see the Austrian Eurail pass is accepted on Railjet etc services. However I notice that the fastest route leaves Austria, travels partly into Germany via Rosenheim and then travels back into Austria. My question is simply, if I am staying on the train with my intention only to travel directly from Innsbruck to Salzburg, does the Austria Eurail pass cover this route?

I just read the chapter “travel in country of residence” in the FAQ section and found that it’s talking about inbound/outbound journeys, while I remember it always used to be I/O days. In particular I was wondering if this is a new thing:So did it already happen to anyone, having to use both journeys in one day? And how would that technically work if like a German resident leaves with their first I/O journey to France, then comes back from Holland  tto travel on to Denmark, which according to this would require 2 journeys, but there’s only one lleft?
