We had a great holiday in the summer, but were not able to use our passes on SE France - between Marseilles and Antibes as the ticket office at Lyon said Interrail was not accepted by the local train company. We had to buy tickets totalling 140 euros!!The app and a subsequent post by a moderator called Claudi said compensation/refund was available. We contacted customer services on our return 5 weeks ago, have sent in the tickets bought on Aug 3 but have just been told that we can’t be compensated and should try the station at Lyon. Can anyone help please?
I am trying to plan my trip starting at December 22, but every platform, both the interrail site and app, give the notification that they dont have the train times for these dates yet. The times of the Thalys for example are already on their website but they are still missing on the Interrailwebsite. Does anyone know when these will be published? Or if you can just plan them with websites of the local trainsystem? Thanks!
good morning this is urgent and I believe it needs to be solved by the team. I have written to them but no reply and cannot find a telephone number. I bought an electronic pass on Friday I need to travel tomorrow starting with Eurostar. the electronic pass number is not recognised by the seat reservation page at Eurostar.
I have recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I am awaiting all the tests and treatments. Unfortunately we bought our pass on 11.5.22 and haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Please could someone tell me when we need to start travelling by?Please could someone tell me when we have to finish travelling by?Also we live in the uk. Can we use the euro rail to get to France with the pass?I am very grateful for any help at all at this distressing time.We bought the tickets in the 50% sale and so I do not think we are entitled to a refund.Does anyone know if it is possible to delay the start of our trip in these circumstances?Kindest regards,Alison Allister
The Belgium rail system is having a scheduled strike on Oct. 5th. If our train originates in Amsterdam with a final destination of Paris will it go as scheduled and just not stop in Brussels? Or will it not travel through any part of Belgium during the strike? Thalys train runs right through Belgium.
Question:The website mentions clearly that the local S Bahn in Zürich is included with the pass. The app as well under "travel info" says so: The planner app in the "planner" menu however says that it's NOT included : when i search for Zurich HB to Wildpark for example it says "not in pass network".Is this a contradiction??Is it included or not? Hi!I bought German Twin Pass Flexi 7 days via DB website, it indicates that the Pass wil be sent to my home country by post.However, I've still not received it yet and I will fly to Germany in a few days. If I cant get it before leaving, can I refund it and buy a new one at the DB office at Frankfurt airport? I'm so worried and afraid to lose my money. Please help! Peungnoi
Hi, I bought train tickets for 1. Venezia to Firenze, 2. Firenze to Roma, 3. Roma to Wien, and 4. Amsterdam to London. I bought them yesterday and received your confirmation email containing only the tickets for the first three trips, I wondered if my last trip (Amsterdam to London) will be generated and sent to me today. I also tried to login into my Eurail account, all tickets except Amsterdam to London could be downloaded.
Is the low-cost plane model is coming to a railway near you, to compete with or even replace National operatorsThere are now 2 new competitors to Renfe on main routes in Spain, part operated by Trenitalia and SNCF.SNCF now operate some TGV routes as Second Class only Ouigo brand ( via a shell company I believe).I have read of some trains in Czech Rep (I think) operated by Arriva.Most of us will have seen Italo trains in Italy.And so on…..Many of these are outside the pass network .and offer low cost fares.Many of these are owned at least in part by national operators (SNCF even operate in France as a competitor to itself).Most, if not all, of these do have alternatives in the pass network, but is that enough to keep us interrailing?For Newbies this will cause even more confusion, getting worse not better.For regular interrailers, particularly those who like to go in a free from schedule way, is it an issue that you are finding causes you problems.Or is pay as you go rather than interra

Hey I have an Interrail GB pass,first of all, of course, I have to come to great Britain from Hamburg i have been confirmed by staff and other sources that I can travel through France with this passport and use the Eurostar for my outward and return journey. The Interrail site which is the only one I can book my reservations on says "Not available for some travellers". what should I do?
Just a simple thanks to the community for their advice in their posts. They have helped no end through a difficult challenge today.Regrettably we had to change next weeks plans from a 5 travel day cross-europe jaunt to a quick dash to Monaco and home (flight and hotel already paid for). Our return home will now be Nice - Lille - London - Leeds, needing those dreaded reservations for TGVs and Eurostar. Because of the advice I managed to book 2 TGVs (1 at 10 euro and 1 at 20 euro) and an early afternoon Eurostar through B-Europe (link from posts) with Pass Cover Numbers (from a link in a post). At several points it looked hopeless with error messages and starting again but we stayed with it thanks to the advice in many posts on regular work rounds.The weirdest was on the b-europe site where it would not accept mouse clicks for selecting entries on drop down lists but would let me select with my touchscreen. That took some time (and a few choice words) to sort.We even managed to get all
Friends, I purchased a 1st class pass. When I go to book a reservation because it’s required, I’m only allowed to purchase a 2nd class reservation. Two questions: Does that mean 1st class is sold out? If so, then how do I request a refund for my pass since I can’t really use 1st class if it’s not available?Many, many thanks!
Hello: I would like to take train from Athens to Istanbul in around mid October. the route I found via seat61 is from Athens to Sofia and Sofia to Istanbul. Is the regular train service from Sofia to Istanbul still operational? How can I reserve seat, It doesn't show any schedule when reserving via eurail website? I have a global pass so only need a reservation. thanks

Does anyone know if you will automatically receive an email from interrail to confirm that your application has arrived?Because I have not yet received a confirmation email, and we are already 2 hours further.I'm a little worried that my application hasn't arrived after all. So it would be nice if someone from Interrail itself could help me with this.
I arrive in Europe on my 28th birthday. If I buy the youth eurail (mobile pass) can I simply activate it the day before when I'm 27 even though I won't be able to travel on that particular day? I know that it's valid for whatever age you are on the first day of activation so is there anything stopping me from activating it before I get to Europe other than losing a day without using the pass?
