ÖBB have today published their new Timetable from 11 December 2022 to 09 December 2023.For the moment I found this new things:Nightjet services Vienna/Munich to Milan will go till Genova. Nightjet Munich-Venice and Euronight Munich-Budapest will start in Stuttgart. Same for EN to Zagreb and Rijeka.Euronight Zürich-Prague one train like this year via Salzburg and Linz and the other new service via Leipzig and Dresden.Nightjet Zürich-Hamburg/Berlin run not more together, but at different times.
I am trying to book tickets from Amsterdam to Zurich with bicycles, it doesn’t seem to be available on ANY date, is this something that is no longer possible does anyone know? The OBB website does not suggest it has stopped, yet I can’t believe every date for 6 months is fully booked! Have they blocked this option?

Hi everyoneI was a three time Interrailer back in the 1980s and have recently joined this forum.I am researching the early years of Interrail and have been looking through UK newspaper archives. If you're interested in what I discovered, please take a look at my blog, 'Innocent beginnings to troubled middle age: Interrail in the press 1972 to 1994'.Please feel free to add your comments.ThanksIan

Hi there, I’m planning ahead for a trip from London to Hamburg next summer and would like to travel Brussels-Cologne-Hamburg. When looking at potential routes (via the Interrail seat reservation tool), it only shows the route Brussels-Amsterdam-Duisberg-Hamburg, even for trips this month. That seems like a long way around with some very tight connections. Anyone know why that is? How will I be able to reserve seats on the route I want to use?Thank you very much. A
Hi. im planning to visit Switzerland and Germany this december. i have few questions:1) may i know if the pass include the fare ride Glacier Express?2) And does the eurail pass travel pass include regional and local train in both country as well? 3) Is it worth it to buy German + Swiss Travel pass OR Eurail travel pass only? thank you
Hi, today some German speaking media has released that according to Deutsche Bahn (Eurail B.V. shareholder) the Interrail pass is more popular than ever: this year 600,000 tickets have already been sold across Europe. Compared to 2019, the number of tickets sold has almost doubled. The number of Interrail tickets sold in Europe this year has risen to a record of around 600,000. Germany is at the top with 142,000, followed by Switzerland with 94,000 and Great Britain with 63,000.Here the article of “Tagesschau” (news website of German public broadcaster ARD) in German:https://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/interrail-tickets-rekord-101.html
Hi! We’re a family of 4 South Africans planning to travel through Europe in December 2022. We have an itinerary planned, but have never been to these countries, or even used the trains. (We currently live in Brunei where we don’t even have trains). Our itinerary looks like this: Barcelona 5 Dec, Marseille 8 Dec, Milan 9 Dec, Rome 12 Dec, Venice 15 Dec, Munich 16 Dec, Prague 18 Dec, Berlin 21 Dec, Copenhagen 23 Dec.My son is in year 13 doing his IB, and will, of course be writing his mocks in the second week of January, which means it will not be all fun and games for him, he’ll have to use the train rides to study a bit as well. I want to buy the global passes - my husband is 60, my daughter is 11 and my son is 17, and from what I have seen so far, the 10 day global pass will make it more affordable. My questions are:1. Should I go for first class or second class? 2. Am I correct to think that I buy the passes now, then book and pay for the trains that I want for the 8 days of travell
From 11 December, there will be a daily connection by train between Poland and Lithuania, with a change in Mockava:https://www.seat61.com/trains-and-routes/warsaw-to-vilnius-by-train.htmThis was already announced a few months ago but now timetable details haven been published.
We’ll be touring Southern Europe this upcoming summer, and one of the ‘hops’ is from Pula, Croatia into Italy.I’ve noticed there is (a rather costly, but effective) bus transportation from Pula, Croatia to Trieste, Italy (2 hours), but the train journey via Eurail seems much more complicated (several hops, 6 hours, etc).Is there an effective (short, less than 4 hours) way to get from Pula, Croatia to anywhere in Italy with the Eurail pass?Thank you so much in advance.
Don’t get the stupid eurrail pass if you are in France. First of all everything requires a booking fee, normally from 10-30 euros one way. Second of all, you can’t go anywhere like London or Amsterdam unless you book like two months ahead, which u might aswell get plane tickets if ur booking that far in advance. This stupid pass cost me more money than I could afford to lose.
I am working on my itinerary for my honeymoon and the last place we will be visiting in Italy before we go elsewhere is Venice. Our plans are to go to Salzburg, Austria after we leave Venice and schedule wise, we were thinking we would be leave Venice on a Saturday morning and take a train to Salzburg. My question is, do they have morning trains that go from Venice to Salzburg on Saturdays? This would be at the beginning of May this next year.
Just an idea that might help Interrail users. We live about 400 km from Southampton and have cruised from there a few times. We are considering using an Interrail Global pass in conjunction with our next cruise and the numbers seem to compare with the alternatives of driving and parking or flying from local airport. To travel by peak time trains would be extortionately expensive or inflexible, but allows unlimited luggage and avoids a long drive.A four day pass would be just over 200 pounds and no UK res costs.2 UK days and then 2 days of tickets to use in ports e.g. Lisbon to Sintra or Le Havre to Paris. Compared to cruise excursions this saves another couple of hundred pounds.
I have a 15day/2month Global Pass and I am traveling from Munich to Innsbruck. On the planner it is saying "Conditions Apply."Question... 1) What does this mean, 2) Is it something I need to worry about on this particular trip since I have a 15day/2month Global Pass 3) and if it is something to worry about it, how I avoid or correct this?Thank you in advance

Hi Everyone,I want to add a journey from Amsterdam to Bruges on the 21st Dec and Bruges to Cologne on 23rd Dec but the search returns “Sorry, we can’t find any trains that match your search”.Does anyone know when these Belgium late December timetables will be updated? For reference, I can do the same search for these trains on earlier dates (10th Dec) and they appear fine.

Hello! I am trying to find the best way to travel from Oslo to Gothenburg. I checked if there were maybe ferry, but I didn’t find anything. I found train on sj.se, and I wanted to ask why it is more expensive than the other route, such as Stockholm - Oslo.I have to reach Germany then, so if maybe someone has experience with these routes and want to give me an advice, it would be nice! Also if it means to change plan and not to go to Gothenburg from Oslo. Thank you in advance.
