Incorrect birthday on eurail pass
Hello! I have a trip that’s coming up this weekend, but the year of my birthday was not saved correctly on my eurail pass. I was wondering that in the case that my birthday does not get fixed before my trip, would I still be able to travel using the pass with the incorrect birthday or do I have to get this issue fixed before I can travel? I have already submitted a form stating that I would be traveling this weekend. It has been 2 weeks (as I indicated on the form) and still have not received a response. I understand there is a high volume of customers right now, but I really need to get my birthday fixed before this trip. Is there anything that could be done faster about this issue as my trip is coming up in a couple days?
Seat Reservation Eurocity Berlin - Krakow
Hi,I would like to know how to book a seat reservation for the Eurocity train (EC57) from Berlin to Krakow. The Interrail planner tells me that reservation is mandatory. However, it does not seem to be possible to do this through their reservation tool.I also tried to reserve seats through the websites of DB or Polish Intercity trains, but I did not succeed.Anyone who has solved the issue? Thanks in advance!
Day trains when traveling with a night train. counting one or two travel days?
Good morning, I would like to remove a doubt; If I leave from Munich (Germany), direction Amsterdam by this train: 18:19 Muenchen HBF; 4h 13m; ICE 532 - 22.32 Hannover HBF. 3h 49m Change trains 02:21 Hannover HBF; 4h 5m; IC 452 - 6:26 Amsterdam Centraal (Netherlands). Do I have to count one or two days of travel? On neither day would I take other trains!
Difficulty with the Eurail Eurostar booking process
I bought a Eurail Global Mobile pass recently, I’m having a lot of issues with Eurail's Eurostar booking process. On May 16th, I tried to booked London-Lille Eurostar seat reservations for two people for June 3rd on https://www.eurail.com/en/book-reservations#/. I paid for the ticket and the charges are fully processed (not pending any more) on my credit card. However, I do not see the reservation tickets on my account https://www.eurail.com/en/my-account/reservation-booking-details/my-itinerary, nor have I received any confirmation email. It’s not clear to me whether the ticket was actually booked, and this is putting me in a limbo because if it’s not booked, I would need to book other options (e.g. flights) as soon as possible. I contacted Eurail customer support about a related issue (#163688), and they mentioned “I can see that a pre-reservation was made for London-Lille on 03/06.” However, I still do not see the London-Lille seat reservations on https://www.eurail.com/en/my-account
Seat reservations required, prices unavailable
im catching a tgv from paris to geneva 29th June. it says booking is required. i tried to book but it seems to be fully booked. It says "Prices unavailable. No price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board." Am i allowed to stand or sit on the train floor without a seat reservation. All the trains for the day say the same thing. I tried booking on other train sites and all say fully booked or don't give option. If I have an eu rail pass can I use that amd just stand on the tgv train, or is a seat reservation essential?
Reservation for OBB train without seat?
Hello, I have to book a ticket from Bozen to Munich with the EC 82 . The train is fully booked for the 2nd class. My questions are:I have a 2nd class global pass, may I face issues if I pay additional price for 1st class Even if 2nd class is fully booked, OBB website forces me to buy this € 10,00 reservation . But I don’t get for what I should pay if I don’t even get a seat. The eurail/interrail website doesn’t tell me I have to reserve something for this route.I attach the screenshot
Don't understanding inbound/outbound rule.
Hello everyone!I want to make a trip to 2 countries and start and end in my home country Germany with the 4 day Global Pass.My 4 traveldays are:Cologne to Marseille via France. Marseille to Florence +4 Florence to Hamburg (2days, one outbound one inbound)Is this possible? Because to me it seems so that thanks to the condition of the global pass i can only make trip which are originating from my homecountry or going to my homecountry. Thanks for your help!If the global pass does not count inbound than that's fine too I just don't understand if I can travel from France to Italy.
I'm taking a night train home. How to avoid the app is selecting not only inbound but also the outbound journey?
Hi everyone,I’m planning my first trip with an Interrail Global Ticket and I need some advice. My country of residence is Germany. I’d like to travel back with an over night train from Rome, which ends in Munich, but I have to switch trains then to get back home.I thought I can just use 2 travel days for this on my pass, but the app doesn’t allow me to select the the journeys because I “already used my outbound travel”. I have enough travel days left, but unfortunately I have to switch trains after midnight. Do I have to purchase another ticket to get home? Thanks for your help.
Why does the planner say that Goerlitz - Dresden hbf is not in the pass network?
Website is not working - can't buy a pass
Hey there, I wanted to buy one of the flash sale passes today but the Interrail website is not working properly. Whenever I want to check out the site isn’t loading and it says there are technical difficulties. Am I the only one experiencing this? And does anybody know if there's another way to buy one of the flash sale passes because the offer is only valid until tomorrow midnight and I’m afraid I can't buy one if the website is still not working. Thank you for your help!
1st Class vs. 2nd Class Sleeper. What's the difference?
Hello! My parents and I are taking a trip to Europe next week. We purchased a 1st class EURail pass and have been booking the train rides that require reservations. Toward the end of our trip, we are taking night trains. I saw there are multiple sleeping arrangements available for purchase on the night trains. Could someone explain the difference between the 1st class 3 person sleeper and the 2nd class 3 person sleeper? For another one of our train rides, there is not a 3 person sleeper available and there is only a 4-person berth available for the night train. If we purchase the 4-person berth, will they fill the 4th spot or is there a way we could get the 4 person berth for only three of us? Also, will my dad be separated from my mom and I on gender-specific berths? Thanks so much!
Passenger rights: Missed connection and overnight stay
Dear all,my name is Sebastian and I purchased an Interrail global pass during the recent promotion. Now I am planning my first trip, which will take me (all in one day) all the way from Zurich via Geneva, Lyon and Barcelona to Madrid. This is a long journey and as such, missing one connection will result in having to stay overnight somewhere, as there will be no later connection on the same day.So far so good and since I am not in a rush it doesn’t matter if I arrive in Madrid only a day later. However, of course I would need to stay somewhere for the night if I strand for example in Lyon or Barcelona. I understand that in this case this happens, according to EU passenger’s rights, I will be entitled to compensation and overnight accommodation. However, I didn’t find any information on the procedures on the interrail website and as such, I would like to ask for your experience to clarify my following questions:How is the usual procedure of arranging accommodation should I be stranded dur
Travel Day Question - I am wondering if these travel days must be used consecutively?
Hi, I just have a question about the Eurail pass I was hoping you could help me with. I'm just a bit confused about how the 'Travel Days' work. I am wondering if these travel days must be used consecutively? For example, If I pick the option for 10 travel days in 2 months, do I only have a 10 day period within those two months in which I can use the Eurail pass? Or, alternatively, can I break down those 10 days over the two months? (e.g. Use '1 day' of travel today, and then 2 weeks later use another '1 day' of travel?). I hope this makes sense! Your help is much appreciated,
Greek islands pass in Athens?
Hey! I’m currently in Athens and I would like to buy the greek islands pass. The problem is that it’s not possible to buy the mobile pass for the greek islands, and that if I order it, it’ll take took much time to get here. I need it asap… Is there a place in Athens where I can buy this pass? Thanks in advance
Reservations with Eurail pass - how far in advance?
Hello,I’m going to taking 3 rail trips in Italy (Fiumicino-Naples, Naples-Florence, Florence-Fiumicino) between Dec. 9th and 19th and am trying to figure out if the rail pass makes sense. Since it’s already just a few days in advance the individual tickets are getting expensive (I need some flexibility for two of them) and I’m tempted to get the pass, but I don’t understand how the timing on reservations works. I read in one place that you’re required to reserve at least 3 hours in advance, another place 24h in advance, and another that you can just reserve right before you board. The timing of one of the trips I won’t be sure of till the last minute (arriving flight) so it would need to be right before boarding. (Seems like advance reservations start to defeat the purpose of having the pass, in terms of flexibility.) Can anyone please help to clear this up? I’m probably missing something obvious….Thanks!Darren
Wich places are excluded from swiss interrail pass?
Hello everyone! I urgently need your help because in few days I’ll be in Switzerland with a friend and we’ll stay 1 week, but I still haven’t found a reply to this question.I am trying to understand if it’s more convenient for me to buy a 4-5 days interrail swiss pass (around 150-170 euro for us because we are under 27yo), or a swiss travel pass (but it’s more expensive), or just not take anything and just buy normal tickets. We will be in Bern the first 2 days, so the plan is to buy after it so it will start from Bern and we will go to: Interlaken, and from there to Grindelwald, Luterbrunnen.. and maybe Wangen but just because I understood form there it’s possible to reach Mannlichen point of view, with funicular. Then we will go to Lucerne. and from there back home. This is the plan if I don’t do any interrail etc.. because it will cost the same. But if I manage to have interrail, that would allow me to visit also Lugano and maybe Guttannen for the famous Gelmerbahn, or maybe Gruyères
UK / England with Discover EU Flex pass?
Hello :)I am from germany and won the DiscoverEU travel pass. Me and my friends plan on visiting some eas european countries, after that I was planning to travel to London. However, the rail planner app marks all trains to london as „one travel pass“. It also tells me to check a certain page for more information, but its just blank. Is it at all possible to travel to the UK? I am not sure since its not really part of the EU anymore :(I hope someone has some experience with the discoverEU pass and can help :)
Eurostar "no trains available"
For certain dates (London to Amsterdam) the Eurostar site says “Sorry, no trains are available on this date. This could be because the train is sold out, the service is not running, or because tickets are not yet on sale. Please try a different travel date, or check back later.”It’s quite important to know what the reason is - if the train is sold out or not running, fair enough, I’ll plan my visit for another date. But if tickets just aren’t on sale yet, I’d still like to plan my visit for that date and book as soon as tickets go on sale. Does anyone know how to find out? I have filled out a Eurostar query form but they sent me an irrelevant response and then closed the case!
Night train Madrid to Lisbon?
Hi travelers! This summer, me and my brother are going on a trip to Spain and Portugal. On our 5th travel day we would like to take the night train from Madrid to Lisbon. We know this train exists, but cannot find any available reservation options. Does anyone have experience taking this night train? And do you might have any tips on how, where and when to book this train? Thank you in advance! And have a great trip y’all 🚋 Best, Bruno and Timon
Seat reservation needed but "Prices temporarily unavailable" always - why? what can I do?
Hello! I have an eurail pass for my family of 6 and now in the process of making the seat reservations required. I am having trouble booking the train from Torino to Roma Tiburtina (FR 9583) on August 15 2022. There is a “Prices temporarily unavailable” message and I can not make my reservation. What does it mean? Is it sold out? Is it too early? What can I do in this particular case?.The same happens in alternative routes for this day, and in most of our 5 days of plan trips during 1 month. Thanks in advance for your tips!!
