As someone who will be staying in France for the next four months, I was disappointed to see that the BF sale did not extend to the the 3 month pass. Does Eurail historically drop an end of year or Christmas sale that normally includes the longer period passes?
Hi all,As you may or may not know, I tried and succeeded the other month in booking a couple of seat reservations with Hellenic Train by lightly abusing their query form. I got a formal response confirming that my reservations had been made but that I would need to collect the tickets from the station. The method is displayed on the last page of this thread: Today was the moment of truth; I went down to Thessalonike’s railway station to collect my tickets, armed with a printout of my email reply from Hellenic Train. The cashier at the ticket desk did accept the validity of the correspondence once shown my pass, but he also said (unsurprisingly really) that he had never seen this kind of thing done before, and that he had no way of retrieving my tickets. He also was unable to select the seats detailed in the email (because of course, unless something had gone wrong somewhere along the line, they had been reserved for me!).I perhaps should have tried to ask if a different colleague could

I cant make a reservation for my family on the Eurostar from London to Paris in 3 months with my europe rail pass. The website reservations site keeps saying:Not available for some travellersSome of your travellers' Passes are not valid on this train. Change your selected travellers to book this seat reservation Any ideas? Are they out of tickets?
I have contacted Interrail for changing to an earlier Eurostar train at the same time. However, they have not responded, is there a way of changing the ticket? How does Interrail respond fast? Also, can the starting date of an Interrail Pass be potentially be changed to a day earlier?
I have tried multiple times to book a reservation for two from Brussels to Paris on the morning Thalys train (details below). Each time I get all the way through to the payment screen and enter my credit card info and then when I hit the Pay button the form thinks a bit then comes back with an empty pay screen - like I never entered anything. No error message, no confirmation, no charges to my card (as far as I can see), no reservation saved for my trip. This is really frustrating and doesn’t give me much confidence in booking reservations through the Eurail page (this is my first try). I guess I can book through one of the other sites, but I was hoping to keep everything in one place. If I book through www.b-europe.com how does the reservation interacty with my Eurail pass, if at all? If I book over there do I just print my reservation? Dear allStrikes just have been confirmed for 29 and 30 November, and the 1st of December in Belgium.The 29th will be the most heavy strike, with all unions having confirmed to participate. Traffic will be heavily interrupted from monday 28th of November 22:00 h. The 30th and the 1st only one union is going on strike. Hi everyone! I am trying to book two train reservations for a weekend in Berlin (for the way there and back). December 9th till December 12th. But every time I add the reservation to my cart, check all my information and I want to check out, it shows this message: It looks like the train is still available, so I don’t really understand why this keeps happening. I made reservations before with the same account, so I don’t think it has anything to do with my account. Hoping someone here knows what to do :)
Can anybody definitively confirm that IC trains in Italy do or do not require reservations for pass users?My experience a couple of months ago was my reservation was checked. Interrail planner says reservation required, but on here and Facebook several experienced contributors say they are optional.Italiarail - Trenitalia’s official partner also says reservations are required. I am always concerned that Newbies get the correct information as on board. It is no good saying “I thought...” or “ I was told by …...”, when they have the uniform and the rule book on their side.
I have a 10 day first class pass, not activated, and have already purchased through SBCB reservations for Eurostar and TGV.I now wish to exchange the pass for one with fewer journeys and even though this is a reduction in value to Interrail I understand that I can do this for a 15 Euro fee. Will my existing reservations (for which I had to generate a pass cover number) be valid with the new pass?Thanks, Scott
I am busy planning my itinerary for a European trip with my 18 year old son next year and I can’t seem to find any fast trains from Milan to Rome on May 18th. We have global passes and I’ve managed to do a reservation on Eurostar already. Is it too early to find them for Italian legs of our journey? I notice there are tonnes at the moment but the only train routes I can find for next May are 14 to 22 hours long for that leg. Yikes! We have a tight schedule at that end of the trip so want to know if I should wait or just book another carrier that’s not part of Eurail. Any insights or advice?
Hi everyone, I want to book a nighttrain between Stockholm and Hamburg. According to the Interrail’s planner, it should be possible (from 39€) but after buying my pass, it seems that there is no day where it is available (always “Seat reservations required from NA”). I try on sj.se too but even when there are some place available, there is no discount with the Interrail pass. Does anyone know how it is possible to book these trains (my pass is useless otherwise) ? Thanks in advance
Hello, I'm a bit stuck. We are flying into Helsinki on the 7th December and we want to catch the Santa Claus express that evening to Rovaniemi. The prices are Eur 49 p.p for a deluxe double sleeper cabin. havent been able to reserve online so I called the Eurarail help line. They can book me in but I'm confused as the prices are Eur 180pp now.Does this sound correct, as it's now cheaper to fly then take the train.
There are still no trains scheduled in Serbia from 13. Dec onwards. Departures from Belgrade Central, 13-12-2022Does anyone know why that is, or when a new schedule will be published?Specifically, I would like to know if the train from Belgrade to Bar is going to continue or not.
I am looking to book a journey from Prague to Hallstatt on Jan 5 and while the Eurail site shows that reservations are not required, for my anxious wife’s peace of mind I would like to try to reserve a seat wherever possible for our holiday.I have tried booking via eurail.com, oebb.at and cd.cz and selected various settings with either the Eurail pass discount or seat-only options and I have attempted to change the journey simply from Prague to Linz to try to reserve that seat. On all of the sites I haven’t been able to reserve seats so I was wondering whether the allocation for pass holders has been exhausted or if I am doing something wrong.I can see via the cd.cz site that there are still seats available to reserve, but when doing so I get the message “The booking period for this reservation has not yet begun or has already expired.”.The oebb.at site just says “No ticket required” and I don’t get the option to add on the Seat Reservation and eurail.com gives the generic “unavailable
I am new to Eurail and can’t seem to make seat reservations from Lisbon to Porto on Wednesday November 23, 2022. I am worried they won’t be available if we wait until we get to the station the day of. How can I buy these? Any advice for a newbie? Thanks in advance.
My husband and I have purchased 3 month global passes online. We have successfully made our first trip reservations for 14/12/2022 from London St Pancras to Brussels-Centraal but we are having trouble with seat reservations. We have attempted to purchase the seat reservations 5 or more times in the past 18 hours. It accepts our cc info and we wait 30 minutes but no confirmation email is received. Sometimes when we go back to start over (but not always), the seat reservations are sitting in our cart again. We have tried making the seat reservations via the eurail website and the eurail app. So far we don’t see any of the seat reservation charges on our credit card.We have also sent this question to eurail but reply said it could be two days or more.Help!
