So I had my trip planned from Amsterdam Centraal to Mälmo. The trip was meant to be Ams- Hamburg then Hamburg to Mälmo on the night train and well my 1st train left 20 minutes early. Allegedly there's some sort of works going on along the way. My alternate train from Utrecht now has put me on another IC that seemingly doesn't exist or it has already left and not at the time it says on the interrail trip planner app. Right now I'm just doing damage control because I've basically already missed my night train out of Hamburg and it's quite frustrating because it's hard finding info. Also it's Sunday and no one's here to help at this random station I'm supposed to transfer at.
Hello everybody, my name is Colin’s and I’m going to travel with 3 friends of mine we from 22 of July until the 12 th of august. We are 23 years old and from Bruxelles, and we would like to go on an adventure in the south of Europe, ( south of France, Spain, Portugal, …) does anybody have some tips or advice that we should know ? And even some place to not miss or things to do ? We are all pretty bad at planning stuff so any help could be very appreciated !Thank you very much, and see you maybe on the road ;)
I am commencing my Eurail trip from Athens around 5th August. I cannot seem to find concrete information on how to get from Athens to Sofia (Bulgaria). Some places say there’s trains. Others say I train to Thessaloniki then bus to Sofia. Others say I train to Thessaloniki, bus to the border, taxi over the border, then bus to Sofia. But when I drill down into these ‘trips’ they can’t provide any concrete information past Thessaloniki. If I have to split with train then bus, will the bus be covered on Eurail? I don't want to resort to flying! Please help!
Hello, everyone!I plan to travel between London and Brussel. I would like to go by train from London to Dover, take the ferry and then again the train in Calais. How can I plan this using the interrail platform? If I plan my trip on the website, I only get the Eurostar. Is there any train direct to the ferry port in Dover and from the ferry port in Calais? If not, how can I organize the transfer from the train to the ferry in Dover and from the ferry to the train in Calais? WHat are the extra costs in this case?
Hi Everyone, We are trying to get from Istanbul to Sofia using the night train, We have found it very difficult funding information, the Turkish train company websites shows slightly different information to the Bulgarian website, which is in general much clearer, but the timetable from June to September is missing. I am very tired having slept 4 hours the last 2 nights :( so might be missing something obvious. Advice on how to find reliable timetable info, and book reservations (any way to book remotely via phone or email? would be great!) Many thanks
Hi Everyone, I have recently purchased a Eurail pass and also done my reservation for Paris to London. However, I would be traveling to the below cities. Starting: Rome to Milanwhile staying in Milan I am planning to do a one day visit to Venice and then come back to Milan on a same dayNext Stop: Milan to ZurichNext Stop: Zurich to ParisNext Stop: Paris to London I have two questions related to the above plan. Do I need to reserve for all these routes in advance as I was told to book Paris to London one in advance considering you don’t get a seat. If you look at my plan, the number of days of travelling will be counted from the day when I will travel from Rome to Milan so according to my calculation, the total number of days to the destination are 5. Am I correct? Since Venice is a single day trip from morning and then come back before midnight. However, I do have to reserve a seat for that. Please advise I don’t want to run in a situation where I don’t have days left for my final de
The train connection Kiato-Piraeus-Kiato doesn't show up in the Interrail App, neither does the courtesy/shuttle bus Patras-Kiato-Patras. Can I use my Global Pass on that route and just add the connections manually under 'My trip'? Thanks a lot in advance! Alois

I want to use the two-months Interrail pass togo from Italy to Austria and back from Austria to Italy from Italy to Germany and Belgium Now my question: Is it possible to start with the inbound journey, then do the outbound journey and still travel with the interrail pass afterwards? Hello! I’m planning a 3 week trip in July 23 for myself and my two sons, 13 and 15. We are based in the U.K.The original high level plan was:London to Amsterdam - 3 nights Amsterdam to Berlin - 3 nights Berlin to Zermatt - 3 nights (this is proving tricky travel wise also been looking at 2 nights in Berlin, travel to Zurich 1 night then on to Zermatt)Zermatt to Venice- 2 nights (this looks like a nightmare - I really wanted to include Italy in this but am struggling)Italy to Lake Bled, Slovenia - 3 nightsLake Bled to Split Croatia - spend c. 1 week in Croatia fly homeSo keen to do night trains where possible and also avoid too many changes, I know Zermatt is making it tricky but it’s the top place my eldest wants to visit so really want to make it work. Plus it’s beautiful!if anyone has any suggestions for an itinerary that takes in most of the places above but includes Italy somehow - I can skip Germany on this trip if needed - that isn’t too complicated please share! I’m keen we spen
Hi! Me and my partner will be travelling Europe this summer and have managed to just get 3 weeks off work including the weekends and the the weekend before we go. This is what our itinerary is looking like but is it too much to squeeze into three weeks? We have tried to keep most of the journeys to a couple of hours and have found hostel options in each to keep it cheap. Being inexperienced in rail travel it’s hard the gauge the balance, however we are the kind of people that like to be kept busy and we will be returning to a few of these places in the future for various things so won’t be disappointed if we don’t manage everything in each place. Are we trying to do too much in one go? Amsterdam (2 nights) Hamburg (1 night) Berlin (2 nights) Prague (2 nights) Vienna (1 night)Brastislava (1 night) Budapest (1 night)Graz (1 night)Zagreb (1 night)Ljubljana (1 night)Munich (1 night)Zurich (1 night)Geneva (1 night)Paris (2 nights)Brussels (2 nights)
Hi, I recently got married and we are planning our honeymoon for next year (July 2024) so we can properly save after the expense of a wedding! My husband and I love to explore cities and culture (new food, history, nights out) but also love being outdoors especially in the mountains and hiking. We will have 2 weeks and are looking for a route that encompasses both these things ie a few capital cities we haven't visited before and some time in some stunning scenery. And some romance would be nice too ☺️ we have lots of ideas but be nice to get some inspiration from others. Any ideas please? Thanks!
According to the page for Italy on this website passes aren’t valid on Lecco to Piona trains, part of the Tirano - Milan line and are shown as such on the App. According to reports from travellers using these trains, they have been told by an on-train Trenord employee that passes are valid and on other occasions presenting a pass hasn’t been challenged by the ticket inspector. Any info, other travellers experiences out there?
Hi ! My name is Soline (18) and I'm french. I plan to make my interrail trip in July 2023 mostly in central Europe but I’ve no one to join me atm. Hello there,I am going to Syracuse in Sicily, Italy this summer, for about a week. I prefer not to take the plane, and was thinking taking the train could be a good alternative. Do you have any suggestions for which route to take and which stations/trains to take? I was thinking:Belgium (starting in Antwerp or Brussels), France, Swiss, Italy (Catania is closest big railwaystation). Would like to make as less stops as possible in between Belgium and Italy. And which pass should I buy for this? This is all very new to me :) Would this be a good option, or does anyone know about a direct option from Belgium to Italy (I prefer to go there in 1 ride, I dont want to make stops in any cities in between). Thanks so much!Anne

Que me conseillez vous comme trajet? merci beaucoup par avance !NB please tell me if you need the same question in english !! thanks a lot in advance
