Travelling by train

Hallo,I cannot find it online so here is my question. I was wondering if you can be fined at the border for not having a negative corona test if you're not vaccinated. Especially if you want to cross the border in Bulgaria. Thanks a lot!

Hey zusammen, unser erster Reisetag (03.09) war leider auch Streik Tag der GDL und somit ist der Zug von Berlin nach Warschau nicht gefahren (sind FlixBus gefahren...).  Da 2 von unserer Gruppe aber diese Strecke nicht aus dem Pass genommen haben, können sie nicht die letzte Strecke (die wir eigentlich mit dem Bus fahren wollten...) nicht mehr nutzen.  Der Service funktioniert nicht, Mail beantwortet seit ner Woche niemand, DB Oebb usw können nicht helfen.  Können wir uns übermorgen einfach in den ICE München Berlin setzen?? Oder könnte das richtig Ärger geben, auch wenn man denen das erklärt und belegen kann….  danke!! 

If we have flown into Germany and spend a couple of days, then continue by train to Amsterdam does anyone know if we are required to get covid tested before getting on our cruise boat. We will only be in Amsterdam less than 12 hours

Hi. I am currently in Norway and am intentending on going to the UK by the end of this week. I am from the UK and was wanting to get back using rail travel instead of flying. This is so i can see a few places and explore along the way. I’m thinking of getting the train from Oslo, through Sweden into Denmark and then onto Germany. I would like to then go through the Netherlands and/or Belgium before taking the Eurostar back to the UK. I was wondering on if this was feasible considering Corona restrictions. I have done research into it and am finding information not particularly clear for me to process.To note I am fully vacinated and have not been outside of Norway in the last 2 weeks. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. :)-Harry

Hello So this is my travel plan: London to Paris (Staying in Paris for 48 hours)Paris to Amsterdam (Staying upto 24 hours)Amsterdam to Brussel (Staying upto 24 hours) and finally Brussel to London I wanted to ask regarding covid-19 or any other travel restriction I should be aware of, currently UK is in very high risk country in Amsterdam, but I will be travelling from Paris so will that cause an issue?

Hi,I was planning on several days of train travel and got really unlucky as it was the same days as the recent German train strikes! I’d like to if possible extend my pass by a couple days or at least one, as all my travel plans got pushed back and now I would have to pay for the last days of my trip. I contacted Twitter and got a quick response but they didn’t quite get it, I didn’t need extra trip vouchers but rather an extension of the last date I can use a pass on.  it would be really great to get an answer on how likely this is before Sunday because otherwise I cannot plan.  Does the community think this is a realistic/reasonable request or should I give up and ‘eat the loss’?  Thanks, cheers!

Hello I have a scheduled train ride from Mannheim to Berlin for Sunday 05/09 that appears to be canceled, it was for 0156h approxThe next available train to Berlin appears to be at 5 am that connection appears on the dbahn website but not on the interrail pass app.  but I will miss my connection in Berlin to Warsaw anyway. Are reservations needed on German trains? I think not but I have no idea how interrail works since I'm a complete newbie and the faq is vague.  Should I go to ticket office regardless? Do they give hotel vouchers for missed connection due to strike? I know Berlín to Warsaw I need a reservation will there be a rep from ICC in Berlin Hbf? How do I go about changing that?   

Hello guys 1st of October I'm traveling to Slovakia from London to Brussel then Vienna and Slovakia.  I just have a hard time to find if I need a PCR test to entry Belgium. I found out I don't need it for Austria or France .. So can anybody help me?  Thanks a lot Marek          

Our Interrail trip is coming to an end and so far everything has worked out well. Now we are planning to head back from Marseille to Germany (country of residence) on Thursday (2 September). Starting that day is a major train strike in Germany which means that we’ll probably be able to come into Germany from france (til Frankfurt) but can’t reach our final destination (Leipzig).  what options do we have now? We can’t wait it out in Frankfurt as we have nowhere to stay and the inbound travel day of our global pass will have been used due to the marseille - Frankfurt connection. 

Hey,do I have to travel every bit of my journey by train or can i fly from on city to another and then continue to use my interrail pass?My specific plan would be to start in Munich and travel to the Toskana, I would then fly back to Munich and start the rest of my journey from there. Looking forward to your answers!

Any comments on a dress code for 1st class train journeys in Italy.  I will be bringing my 20-22 year old Grandsons, and they probably want to wear shorts, maybe more casual than Bermudas.  I know they will be somewhat out of place, but don’t want to see them asked to get off the train.

Are corona tests being checked at the borders on trains, currently?

My medication needs to be cold. On planes they have fridges and they let passengers keep their meds there but I don't know about trains. The time spent on the trains is too long for my meds, they need refrigeration. Is there any solution? Do all trains have cold places to keep meds?

Then i will go Switzerland and here’s the problem! There’s no restrictions for passengers from france, but i’m a non EU citizen. (The countries here are just an example, i just wanted to explain situation)Does anyone have an experience like that? Did you face any problem? Thanks in advance!

Hey Community! I am planning a trip this summer with my bicycle and wanted to use interrail for the largest stretches of commuting. When trying to plan a journey in the interrail app I can see for every train in a particular journey whether or not it takes a bike, but this is a very inefficient way to check journeys. Besides inefficiency, the interrail app only provides me with trains that do not carry a bike… Trying to plan a trip using train providers like OBB (austria) and DB (germany) I can find trips that allow me to take a bike but these use trains that interrail does not allow I believe. It is all a bit of a mess…Any advice or experience with this would be much appreciated. The particular trip I am looking at now is Utrecht Centraal to Verona porta nuova.Thanks people :)
