Travelling by train

Hi, I am traveling with Nightjet from Munich to Bologna. To enter Italy, I have to fill out a form, where I have to state Point of entry and time I enter. Does anyone know which border the nightjet enter Italy and perhaps timeframe as well?Best regards Karina 

In a couple of weeks time I intend to travel around Croatia and Bosnia on my honeymoon, both me and the wife (to be at the moment, seems crazy writing that after the last 18month) are double jabbed, so it will be fine entering Croatia from the UK, are we able to cross into Bosnia and then back into Croatia again the next week without doing anything, or will we need to do tests and at what point.  Are things more complicated with us no longer being in EU/Schengen and Croatia being in EU and Bosnia not.Many thanks if anyone knows the answers, my head hurts from looking at all the different things 🤣.

Hello, I would like to take a train from Salzburg to  villach  and villach to venice but there is only 6minuts of transfer between the two trains, so I’m scared to miss the train from villach to Venise, because we don’t know at all the train station of villach and 6minuts of transfer seems very short.  

Question, I am planning on using the rail from Copenhagen to Berlin, and after 3 days head to Prague and after 3 days across to Vienna and after 5 days head back the same route in one straight shot of 21hrs. With a PCR validity of 72hrs, do the different locations have testing centers for non-residents in transit?. 

Hi everyone, I’m going with some friends to Norway this summer, and I was wondering if it’s mandatory to be fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid within 6 months to enter the country without undergoing a quarantine. And do you know if you can enter to Norway as a tourist, without the Green Pass?

Are there restrictions for non EU citizens for traveling through European countries with a Eurail Pass?  As a fully vaccinated USA citizen will I be able to freely cross for example Italy into Switzerland and then on to France?  I understand I’ll have to provided proof when I enter the EU, but will I have to fill out paperwork and prove myself when I travel through other countries?

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well!I hope this question is accepted even though it’s not all about interrailing...I was planning to go interrailling with my best friend this summer, but now she got a new job and can’t go (luckily we didn’t get tickets yet). I cannot stress how much I want to go travelling and see the world. I graduated from high school a year ago and really need to experience something different, as I don’t know what to study yet - and I saved up a bit of money from working by now. Does anyone have any recommendations or ideas on what I should do: solo travel, group tours, guide school, voluntary work, au pair or workaway etc... I am open to all suggestions, vague or specific :) Also if anyone is in the same situation/same age, maybe we can become travel partners (I am 19 and love to meet new people)Thank you! 

HiI am planning to travel a few countries in Europe in August. My goal is to do everything by train. However, I was not able to figure out how it works when crossing multiple borders. When I travel from Germany through Denmark to Sweden, does my crossing of Denmark count as an entry and therefore I have to comply with all the COVID rules there? Meaning they will check for certificate, and In case the measures change again and borders close I could not travel through Denmark by train and would have to take a plane?Thanks a lot for your feedback if anybody has insight on this!

Hallo liebe Community, Ich möchte mir endlich meinen Traum erfüllen und mit fast 40 meine erste Interrail Tour starten. Ich habe mir schon eine Route durch Italien und Frankreich überlegt. Jetzt habe ich gelesen, daß man in Italien für jede Zug oder Busfahrt eine Beförderungserklärung abgeben muss? Weiß jemand etwas darüber?

My boyfriend and I are planning to travel from the netherlands to germany and czech republic this summer using interrail. We were not able to get vaccinated yet. Does this mean that we have to keep getting tested everytime we enter and stay in a new country? And do we need new test documents everytime we pass a border in a train?

Hello all,I'd really like to know whether I would - theoretically - get away with booking a sleeper terminus to terminus, but only actually boarding it further on.The reason I ask is that I am (as always) planning my trip for next summer, and I'm extremely interested in taking the night train to Kiev (ÖBB discount it for passholders right up to the Ukrainian border) - *but*, it might suit me better to board it at Budapest rather than Vienna.I think a ticket for two passholders sharing a two-berth compartment is about €114 or so, bought at oebb.at, but they only sell Vienna-Kiev. It's possible to buy only Budapest-Kiev at polrail.com, but it seems to be more than double the price.I would need to do the journey west to east because the ticket has to be picked up in person in Austria beforehand.Does this sound like something that would work out alright, or would I invalidate or forfeit my ticket by doing this?Thanks for your thoughts!

Hello everyone, I'm new to Interrail. I only took one ride from Cologne to Vienna at night with my school class so far. And one time to Amsterdam for travel. The other times I just drove from work to home...Now I want to go on my own, and I'm wondering how long is your perfect train ride?I thought that I would prefer to go 5 maybe 7 hours maximum, when I don't take a night train.  My first idea is Denmark, Sweden and maybe Norway. I'm now playing with the rail planner app and try to choose routes…What is your experience? What is a comfortable travel time for you? Thanks and best wishes,Polkadot

Is it safe now to travel Europe with pandemic staring at us

Hi, we will go by train in Europe in this summer. My husband and I are vaccinated but our 12 years old child isn’t it. Currently it is necessary to do a test for her if we will go another place/country. I know every country has other rules but can anybody tell me usually where can we do a test (PCR) for children? On train station (in mobile Covid-test station)is it possible; for example in the capital of a country? And what does it cost as tourists? Thanks if you can help us.

Hi,This year, I would like to visit Norway by train. However, I cannot find how to get there. Which train website do you use to know your route? 

I have only taken an overnight train from Budapest to Belgrade and for me...well we didn’t opt for a sleeper cabin and I barely got any sleep...nothing like travelling through the night with one eye open, especially at a border checkpoint (when you have never encountered) that process before.  Curious what travellers thoughts are.
