Eurail & Interrail Passes

Hello everyone,Hope you can clear this doubt. I want to purchase a 4 Eurail passes 2 for my wife and me and 2 for my kids (9 years and 2 years old). If my 9 year old kid has his eurail pass for free, I do not have to pay for a Swiss Junior Pass right? So he can travel for free?

Hi I am travelling to Europe tomorrow with my daughter using an interail pass.I have activated my pass but I have no journeys to add as this has all been done by my daughter. Will this be a problem, how does this work when I have no journeys on my pass?

Hello,I bought a Eurail French Pass and have already made seat reservation.  The travel date is December 1, 2023.  I would like to exchange the pass to Eurail Global Pass.  If I change the pass, do I have to make seat reservation again?  Can I use the current seat reservation that I made earlier?Thank you.

Thank you in advance for a solution to my question.We have done train travel in many countries with/without passes, but this is my first time booking with Eurail Global pass (Flexi 7 days in one month). So, I must be doing something incredibly stupid. I have always used Trainline app to buy tickets in Spain and Italy earlier.I have two of the Eurail First class global passes (my wife and I), downloaded the Rail planner app, created two identical trips (one for each of us), connected the passes (not activated as yet), created multiple journeys under the trips. I couldn’t figure out how to use the info I stored in the trips/journeys to the Interrail reservation system the app takes you to. So, anyway I created a trip for one of my journeys (Milano central to Vienna Wien). Interrail shows the one transfer thru Venezia Mestre and when I choose that and try to book, it asks me for my “country and city of birth”, and doesn’t ask for my passport details. My count

Planning our first Interrail trip commencing on 28 June 2024 for two weeks.  Initially we were looking at the 7 days within a month pass for €317 for a senior but have noticed that the promo 10 days within two months at €285 seems better value.  This pass needs to be activated before 1 June 2024.  My question to more experienced travellers is that I am assuming that we can activate towards the end of May and then use it for our trip a month or so later.  I am also assuming that we can activate the pass without using it on a travel day. It would be good to get reassurance that the above plan would work before pressing the button to buy the  pass.

Hi travel-lads,Interrail would have started a pilot with using more inbound/outbound days on the app.My question ara:1: Does this pilot still work?2: Which Country-residents are entitled for this pilot?3: How many travel-days would be given?4: Could the extra In-/outbound days use for more come-backs to your home-country, of are they only apllicable for an inbound-Outbound day with stop-over nights between such trips?

Hello all we are planning to take the 5 days in a Month France rail pass and plan to do ravel from Paris to Strasbourg on the TGV with a reservation However on the travel form Strasbourg to Chamonix ( both destinations being in France ) we hav to change trains in Geneva , visp and martigany  I wanted to know if my France rail pass will be valid on this journey ?

Hi. I am starting my Europe travels on 23rd of June 2024. I know there are discounted passes for sale at the moment and I’ve read they’re valid for 11 months after purchase. However, when I scroll down to the bottom it says, ‘For trips starting before June 1’ How do I purchase a pass valid for my dates? Thanks!

Hi everyone:I’m researching, learning about Eurail pass for France (within France only trains) for May 2024 trip with senior parents. I will have put all 3 passes on my iPhone as we will be travelling together the whole time.  (I have not bought the Eurail pass yet.)I’ve read the Guide  Sorry if it’s a silly question but I didn’t see anything on how to save/where to save a seat reservation (understood best to buy from this site https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv#TravelWish )Can I ask once a seat reservation is bought, do I store/save the QR code or whatever the format to my iPhone wallet? Is it necessary to obtain Berlin S-Bahn ABC tickets, or will my activated Eurail Pass suffice? Are there limits on which, if any, S-Bahn Berlin tourist tickets can be obtained this way?We are going to Prague, Berlin, Budapest, Vienna, and Frankfurt (in that order) to visit the Christmas markets and see some of “old Europe” in the winter. Our trip will last 13 days (excluding flights to/from U.S.) We are both over 65 but I am not (yet) retired. I’ve already purchased Euro Night tickets for the trip from Berlin to Budapest. I’m likely to buy the first-class Eurail Global Pass Promo Senior 10 days within 2 months (2 x Senior for USD $ 772) (I’ll pay in Euros we exchanged last year.) I know that public transportation in Prague will be free (since we are over 65.) Berlin is different: are the tourist passes through S-Bahn Berlin worth it? Will our Eurail Passes provide any discount? It does not look like public transportation in Vienna is included in Eurail Passe

im from australia and will be travelling europe next march/april and i was just a bit confused on the passes. do i need a pass? where will my luggage be stored and do i have access to it? once i book a train trip can i change it? 

Hello!I am travelling Europe at the end of the Year, and have a Global Eurail Pass, but quite a few of the journeys I want to take, require seat reservations. I was able to book a few reservations through the Eurail website and also through the B-Europe website. However, on the 17th of December, I need to travel from London to Brussels, and on the Eurail Website it says that prices are unavailable and on B-europe it says that there are no journeys on that day, so I suspect that journey is sold out? However, on the 11th of January, I need to travel from Copenhagen to Prague, and on the 15th of January I need to travel from Prague to Frankfurt. Similarly, the Eurail website says that the prices are unavailable but I’ve looked and it seems I can book the seat reservations through the DSB or DB website, but it never asks me to add in my Eurail pass number, like the b-europe website did, when I go to purchase the seat reservations. So, I guess i’m just wondering if I purch

I was wondering if once active, I could postpone my travel to any date or if there are deadlines to respect. Hallo! Ich starte meine Reise bereits aus dem Ausland und fahre in mein Heimatland und bleibe dort auch eine Nacht. Für diese Reise würde ich jedoch ungern bereits meinen “Inbound” nutzen. Kann ich in der App meine Reise bis an die Grenze planen (der geplante Zug hält dort auch) und ab der Grenze dann ein gewöhnliches Ticket für mein Heimatland kaufen?Am nächsten Tag fahre ich dann wieder ins Ausland und einige Tage später wieder zurück ins Heimatland, wobei ich bei diesen zwei Fahrten dann meinen “In- und Outbond” nutzen wollen würde.

My husband and I have purchased the 4 day pass (1st class). We will be travelling during winter (late Dec - early Jan). If the train says ‘seat reservation not required’, can we just use our pass to sit within the 1st or 2nd class carriage?  If the train says ‘seat reservation recommendation’, can we not reserve the seat and use our pass to sit within the 1st or 2nd class carriage? Is the primary benefit of buying a 1st class pass so that you get access to sit in 1st or 2nd class carriages, and of course if a seat is available in 1st class you can the added benefits such as extra space and comfortable seating?  How does priority check-in work with the 1st class pass?
