Hi, This will be our 1st time using interrail and we are very nervous, I’m a disabled traveller and also easily confussed!. We are flying down to Rome for a few days an then plan on getting Interrail back to Zurick and flying home from there. We would really like to go through the Brenner pass as part of our journey, I have put this route in the planner.Verona Porta Nuova3h 31mdirectInnsbruck HbfIs that correct? or is it a different route that we need? We plan on staying overnight in Verona and Innsbruck. Thanks in advance for any advice.Rachel
I am going on interrail this summer, probably in july, and i am searching for people to travel/ meet up with who share the same interests as me or not. i like to travel with more loose travel plans so there are many options open. i like to try new stuff everywhere wether its going to new places, diving, horse back riding or just simply enjoy a view somewhere. i really like hiking, but on a beginner level, and i also climb a lot(bouldering). if you are interested or maybe just have a question please text me!!
I want to travel from London to Florence on 31st July 2026 and to return to London on the 8th August 2026. Is this something I can do using a pass or do I need to get separate tickets for different legs? It is very difficult from what I have seen to plan this trip using any service available in the UK. I am hoping this is due to my naivety as I would like to use rail for European travel if its easy.
I travel with my family (4 pax) and I was thinking to take a night train from Warzow to Prague, but I can’t find someone (with Eurail pass obviously) The only option I find is Railjet bus it’s expensive (I cant use the Eurailpass) and the other (without Eurailpass) is LEO Express but is not night, are simple seat (for 10 hours si too much)Do you have another idea? Regards from Chile
He hecho reserva de asientos.
Yesterday I made reservations for a TGV from Paris to Nimes. In “My Trip” the price indication was € 12 per seat. But on line the price was in US dollars and about ten euros higher. I’m puzzled and wonder whether I did something wrong. As I need to make additional reservations, advice is much appreciated.
Hiii. We are travelling from Ljubljana to Bern on April 5 probably with the train that leaves around 7:45am. The trips is very long around 10h and during that we make 4 train changes. However the transfer times are super short. For example on the first stop we make at the Villach HBF (Austria) station we have only 6 minutes to get to another platform to catch the next train. Basically we need to get from platform 1D-E to 4D-E. How do you figure this out in 6 minutes? I think we won't be able to navigate THAT fast and we might miss the next train. So in case that happens, what do we do? Because if we miss that train, the we will probably miss the next 3 that we would have to take to get to Bern. Are there frequent connections? Like what do you do in such cases, do train wait or whatever?
When adding my train trips to my 10 day eurail pass, do I have to include my eurostar reservation as one of the days?
Booked a 1st class reservation on the Ljubljana to Zagreb train. When the the train arrived, there was no 1st class carriage. The ticket inspector told us to sit in 2nd.Tried to get a refund from CD.cz but they're refusing saying that I haven't provided evidence that there was no 1st class. I don't know how to do that. The inspector didn't give us any documentation, and it isn't like I could have taken a photo of a non existent carriage.CD.cz refuse to contact the train company to check the formation. I've tried, but got no response.Should I just do a credit card charge back?
Hello,I have a 15 days within 2 month interrail and i am planning on splitting it up across 2 trips, a 5 day trip and a 10 day trip. However, for the 5 day trip i am planning on flying out so i wont be using my outbound journey in my country of residence. Although, for my 10 day trip i am planning on travelling in my country of residence from Liverpool down to London, therefore using my outbound journey then, is this possible? As i am unsure whether the outbound journey means only at the start of your 15 days or if your able to use it after the interrail has already started. Thank you all in advance.
Hello, I'm going to be traveling with two young daughters from Paris to Eastern Europe on a tight budget, and every leg of the journey looks like a nightmare. Especially the overnight train journeys with two connections at 3 am and 6 am for a total of 14 hours. Has anyone done this kind of trip before? Do you have any ideas or recommendations? We were thinking of Paris/Prague/Budapest/Bled/Paris.
i am trying to book trains for my journey and when i look online, for example florence to rome is 1hr30minutes, when i go to book through the rail planner app they are all 4hr+, i want to be able to get the shortest time trasins but im unsure how?

When will Eurostar release the schedule for direct train routes from London to Amsterdam for traveling in August 2026?
Just thought I’d share how two different refund requests were dealt with.On Thursday 22 January I was booked on the Golden Pass Express from Zweisimmen to Interlaken Ost. Boarded at Zweisimmen and made myself comfortable. Noticed that the lights dimmed every now and then and there was a lot of activity. After about 15 minutes we were told the train had failed and to get another train to Interlaken Ost from “that platform over there”. So we wandered over, got a train to Spiez, changed there and arrived in Interlaken, No big deal but it wasn’t direct and it wasn’t on the booked service. So I filled in the Montreux Oberland Bahn webform looking for a refund of my reservation fee. They replied (quickly) that the train had operated but with a delay. I replied we were told to disembark and seek alternative transport. They replied that my message would be sent to BLS for comments. Radio silence since. On Monday 26 January my train from Brig to Milan was over 90 mins late. (The lack of communic
My family and I want to travel from Freiburg Germany to Rome. We have kids and would like to travel over night sleeping. How can we book this
Hey! I am currently planning a 6 week interrailing trip with 3 other friends, starting 29th April this year. We have all bought the continuous 2 month global pass. I heard that you need to book your trains in advance, and can’t just jump from train to train. I was wondering how far in advance we would need to book each train, especially the train journeys from each country to another. Does it get busier through May/June, so is that something we also need to be aware of? We were planning to book most of our hostels and trains as we go, so that if we wanted to stay an extra night or two if we really liked somewhere, then it would be possible. However, I’m not sure if this will be possible depending on if we will need to book our trains and reserve seats days/weeks/months in advance? Also, for our train back into London, we were planning to go from Paris to St Pancreas on the Eurostar. Apparently this train gets booked up super fast, so I was wondering how far in advance we need to book ou
I have just received an email saying that I urgently need to set up my pass as it will expire in 8 weeks - I only bought it about two months ago. Anyway - I bought a 7 day pass to use in a month and I have to activate it by the 23rd of march. My 1st day of travel will be the 1st of April. I think I have set it up, the last step I had to do is activate it. Do I need to activate it now? I hope this makes sense.
Rail strikes in Belgium will impact train travel from Sunday, 25 January, at 10 PM CET till the last train on Friday, 30 January. Due to the strike, a limited number of trains will be running, and alternative train services will operate in accordance with SNCB railway staff availability. We recommend checking the planner in the Rail Planner App or the SNCB timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. To find out more about the strike and alternative train services available, please read the SNCB strike announcement for domestic traffic and international traffic. Delay compensation: Travellers with an activated day for any of the affected dates can request compensation here: Interrail or Eurail.
I have a 1st class travel pass.Am I able to reserve a 1st class Premium seat using this pass on Spanish trains ?
Hello,I have a reservation for the night train from Bucuresti to Vienna for tomorrow, but since around 2 days, the train does not appear in my Interrail App anymore. It still exists on the ÖBB website (where I also got the reservation from), which makes me wonder how it disappeared from the Rail Planner App. Any idea if there are any train disruption I should know of? Also: My reservation starts from Bucuresti though I want to hop in only in Brasov. Do you think that will be a problem?
