Hello, I am traveling by train in the Balkans with a 15-day pass valid in all countries. It expires in early December and I still have days left to travel. I am looking to travel from Belgrade (Serbia) to Thessaloniki (Greece) by train. This train exists in real life but not in the Interrail planner. Can I add it manually? And do I need to reserve a seat on board? Or is activating my travel day sufficient?Thank you for your help!

Hi - I am not quite sure of the night train sleeping berths - I understand about the couchettes v the sleepers - but there are 3 of us travelling and would like to not share with others in the cabin.when I look at the OBB web site to look at booking through there, it only says that you can book a sleeper, but you may have people in it. But then also says “book the whole compartment” but doesnt say how. When i Iook at booking through Eurail reservations it says 3 x IRT sleep.single(shower.comp) - but I cant find any explanation of what that exactly is. When I refer back to the OBB website, I am assuming that is 3 berths in a sleeper - but how do you book a private sleeper? Thank you for your advice.
Hi, my name is Ginevra. I’m an Italian journalist and a big fan of Interrail.Together with a friend, I’m planning a trip for next spring, and I’d love to hear from you.I’m also gathering ideas for an article on this topic, so I’d really appreciate your stories and insights.Have any of you travelled around Europe with Interrail? Where did you go? How was the experience? What do you think is the real added value of a journey like this? What did it give you — and what did it leave behind? Do you feel different or changed after the trip? Do you think Interrail is an effective way to get to know Europe and Europeans better?I’d love to hear your stories!
Mistakenly bought a seat reservation on Eurostar from London to Brussels. I then bought the correct seat on another Eurostar train (to Amsterdam). How do I cancel the first booking and hopefully get a refund even if only partial, also to allow someone else to get the seat Thank you
Novi Sad's main railway station in Serbia will be closed for all traffic for the time being. All trains to Novi Sad will stop in Petrovaradin, and there will be free buses from there to the Novi Sad city centre and back. From Petrovaradin, buses for the city centre will be stationed at Preradovic Street and on the way back from Novi Sad city centre, buses will depart from the bus station at Uspenska Street. Please check the planner in our Rail Planner app or our timetable and the Serbian national railway carrier Srbija Voz's timetable for the most up-to-date schedules before departing for your planned train journey. Find more details in the disruption announcement on the Srbija Voz website (only in Serbian).
How can I use the planner on my account. I only can plan one trip, but I want to plan two trips in one month
This connecties train Has reserved Seats but they cannot be refunded because another train that caused the problem. Can I get a refund-actie and where van I claim this (or try)?
Between the 26th and 27th of October, I met two amazing fellow interrailers (a couple — 37M from Kiel and 27F from Groningen) on the SJ 94 night train from Stockholm to Narvik. We shared a sleeping compartment and had such a great time chatting that the ~20 hours just flew by. They got off at Abisko Touriststation, but since we arrived earlier than scheduled, everything was a bit chaotic and I didn’t get the chance to ask for their socials. If by some miracle they see this post (or if anyone who knows them does) — hi, it’s Ondřej from the train 🙌. I’d love to stay in touch — DM me!
My friend and I are planning to carry 28 inch suitcase for Spain trip. We book Eurailpass 2nd class. We will take Iryo and Renfe. Do we allowed to carry it or we have to pay extra luggage?
We’re trying out the plus pass for the first time, travelling from Switzerland to the UK.The TGV Lyria and the Eurostar both require 1 credit each, so our return trip will be a total of 4 credits. Because we only have 3, we’ll need to pay for one reservation (like with a regular pass), as stated on the Interrail website info about the plus pass. But I can’t figure out how to pay for the additional reservation- does anyone know? When I try to reserve through Interrail I get a message saying “ Not enough free reservations left!” but no option to pay instead.Do I need to use another provider, or is there a way around this within the Interrail reservations booking system? Thanks for your help…(And I agree with many others on other threads, it would be great if the number of credits included in the plus pass is increased! Otherwise I think we will not use it again.)
What are the "must see" train rides in Scotland? I'm planning a new trip and I've never been here. So any tips, on the best spot to visit, is most welcome 🤗I'm starting in London, towards Manchester and than up.
I would like to take the INC 1962 train between Catania and Florence on January 10, 2026, but I don't find it available. That train appears in the schedule up to December 12, 2026, but not after that. Does anyone know if that train will appear later or if for some reason it won't run in January 2026? There was a recent schedule update, but this train still doesn't appear after December 12th.
I’m using my purchased Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Basel SBB. The route starts at Paris Nord and transfers at Paris Est via public transportation. Can I just start at Paris EST to avoid the public transportation transfer?
Last year I won a 7 day 2nd class interrail pass. Can I upgrade this to a 1st class pass? If so, how does this work? This question is not about reservations, but about the pass.
Train will be replaced by a bus service (a direct bus and a bus with several stops). We would like to take the direct bus to Mönchengladbach at 9.55 am. Does anybody know if this bus service is included in the Interrail Pass?
We are from the USA and are on a 2+ week vacation around Europe. On Sunday, October 19, while traveling from Offenburg to Cologne on the Deutsche Bahn ICE 200 , my wife accidentally left her phone on the train as we departed at the Cologne Station. We immediately realized our error, but the train had already departed. We called the phone and another passenger answered. He said he would give the phone to train employee. We got online and created a lost item report K2025/***** (Number hidden by moderation). We put the phone into lost mode, and put instructions on the screen to call my working phone. With find my iPhone, we watched as the phone ultimately traveled to Hamburg.Since then, nothing has happend. The phone sat in the same location for 3 days, until the battery died.We tried calling the lost+found number for Deutsche Bahn, but they hang up on us. “We can’t help”.Now, my lost item report https://db.novafind.eu/home/db/DB/app/lossrecords/K2025_246544?accessToken=JLZKFKKBCDCR2BBDBH2
I work for a UK rail company and we get FIP vouchers for free travel on some European service.I need to reserve 2 seats on a service but I am unable to just reserve the seats without buying a ticket.Any advise would be great.travelling from Paris Gare de Lyon to Zurich.thanks
I know Westbahn doesn't accept first class passes in first class (I don't know why ?!) and you have to pay an upgrade fee.I wasn't prepared for the price: €65 for an international journey, which must be the most expensive supplement anywhere on the network? The pricing information on Rail Planner appears to suggest it's €9.90, and that passengers can buy on board.
Is it possible to still activate your mobile pass on the date of today?
Hello everyone, for several months I have been thinking about traveling during this end of year. I plan to use my Interrail pass before it expires in November and travel around 1 month, so until december. But here is the problem: about 1 month before my departure deadline I am telling myself that it might be very cold and that I will not be able to stay outside too long to visit the cities, etc because of that. Especially since I plan to do the northern countries: Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. Otherwise I was considering doing countries from central and eastern Europe and some southern countries So I wanted to have feedback from people who traveled in Europe at this time of year (october, november, december or January) Thanks in advance!
Do we deserve not to refund the cancellation fee if the reason is there is no return trip available that appear on the Eurail webpage? There is an ongoing construction and it did not appear on the webpage. We thought there was no return trip and that is why we cancel our trip. Eurrail should inform the passengers on the webpage and the alternative trips should have appeared on the webpage. We do not have a choice but to cancel the trip. We deserve to get a full refund since the fault is from Eurrail side for not showing the information on the webpage.
Bonjour, comment etre sur que je pourrai utiliser mon pass pour mon itineraire . si les billets ne sont pas ouverts à la reservation, ( comment savoir si les billets disponibles pour interail ont tous été vendus?) si c’est le cas, comment faire? Merci
I'm trying to book a train from Visp to Zermatt on the 20th October, but only one train a day is showing. I thought the train ran every hour?Any suggestions?
Hi there, my daughter (20 years old) and I planning to go to Europe in late November to early January. Our base will be Skalica (Slovakia) as we have family there. I want to be able to travel to other countries by train if possible. Do you have any suggested itinerary via trains/buses? I’m thinking Germany, Italy, France, Belgium. Thank you so much!!!
