I am planning an interrail trip for five of us. I will be setting it all out on my app, as I have fir myself in the past. Is there an easy way to share the details with my four companions to save them having to add all the journeys individually to their apps.
Hey !! 👋🏻 Me and my friend have been trying to plan our interrail trip the past few weeks and it's so overwhelming we would love some help from someone who's been there. We are from Greece and the original plan of our trip was:Greece to Ljubljana by plane on 3/4. Stay there for 2 days.Ljubljana to Bern on 5/4. Stay 'till 8/4. (3 nights)Bern to Amsterdam 8/4 - 11/4. (3 nights)Amsterdam to Paris 11/4. Stay 'till 13/4. (2 nights)Paris to Barcelona on 13/4 and stay until 16/4 (3 nights). Then fly back from Barcelona to Greece. The thing is. Firstly we would like to explore Switzerland's nature, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc. however these are around an hour from Bern and there is not connection from Ljubljana to Interlaken. So we would have to go to Bern (explore there a bit) and then use another travel day to go from Bern to Interlaken etc and then back again to Bern. Do you think we can see everything mentioned in less than a day? And basically use 1 day at bern and the second at Interla
I'm attempting to make a booking from Australia. The booking is for a trip on April 28, 2026, from Ancona to Patras. I insert all my and my wife's details, as well as the discount details for our Global Eurail pass and our passports. However, when I click on the 'Port Agencies' button, I receive an error message - ‘default extra not found’. See the second picture below. If I leave that blank, then I receive the error message 'Accept the required details to continue with the reservation.' See the first picture below.I have tried booking without the 'early bird' feature and received the same problem. I have tried different types of browsers to no avail. The problem occurs with either credit card or PayPal payment types. We have been booking other services in Europe without a problem. Are you able to assist, please? Many thanksSteven PasseyAdelaide, Australia
Hey! As suggested by the team at Interrail, me and my friend are now using the online trip planner to support us in planning trains and journeys. We are struggling on planning our route from Nice to Rome. The only option its suggesting is 35 hours long via switzerland. Please can you advise us on the best way to do this travel day. We are aware its a 12 hour journey. We have a global pass. Thanks!
Hi there,My friend and I are travelling from London to Paris on 28 August 2026. We have already booked the Eurostar separately and will be arriving in Paris at 21:00 on Friday 28 August. We have accommodation booked for two nights in Paris, followed by three nights in Nice. After Nice, we are hoping to continue our trip through Milan, Rome, Venice, Innsbruck (Austria), and Zagreb (Croatia), before flying back to London on 12 September. We have purchased a 5‑day travel pass within one month, but we are unsure whether this will be sufficient for our itinerary or if a 7‑day pass would have been more appropriate. Could you advise whether our planned route is feasible with the pass we currently hold? We would also appreciate some clarification on how a “travel day” works, as we are finding this a little confusing.Thank you in advance for your help.Kind Regards, Eleanor and Emily.
Hi, i was on a trip earlier this month and left my country of residence once and reentered. the 22. of january i would spend my last two days of travel, ive read that i cant exit and reenter my country with my interrail pass again. I was looking at a ticket where i would pay for a ticket to padborg and continue on the train with my interrail pass. Would a ticket to padborg suffice and i would leave the country on the interrail pass? i would buy a ticket to a stop thats right over the border, but the train im looking at only stops there between copenhagen and hamburg. (Padborg is bordering the danish german border but is technically within denmark)
When using your Eurail pass for the discounts on Ferrys, does that count as a travel day? Such as the overnight ferry from Barcelona to Civitavecchia.
Hallo Zusammen Ich habe die Nachricht erhalten per Email wegen Datensicherheitsverstoss da es einen Vorfall gab. Also kann mir jemand erklären was genau passiert ist? Ich habe mein Interrail Konto Passwort jedenfalls geändert muss ich sonst noch was tun sollte ich das von der Community auch wechseln ist das auch betroffen?
Hi everyone,my daughter is trying to book EN Tickets for her and her boyfriend on OEBB app for end of April. She has an Interrail pass and he hasn’t. So if she enters both of them, she gets “no tickets available”. It seems to work only if they both enter the same discounts. In the past I haven’t encountered this problem. Is there any way to book their tickets together, maybe on another site/app since it’s not an OEBB train?
Hey,so I am planning an interrail route including the ferry from bari to patras and I want to go on the 13.1.2026. The issue is I can not select any date further than the 10.1. and I can not find a timetable anywhere only. Does anyone know when they update their timetable and when I can book the seats?Another question: Somewhere on the Interrail website it said the bus from Patras to the Athens port is included if you take the fery. Is this still up to date? I am grateful for any help :)

Help! I am looking at planning a trip for next summer, both myself and my partner will be 27 and our 2 children age 8 and 2. Im trying to get an idea of price but cant seem to add 2 youths (the category we fall into) and 2 children when looking at ticket prices. Can we not travel with children as we are not 28 or over? Or would we have to buy 2 adult tickets even though were not 28. I hope this make sense
My wife and I are traveling from Nice to Zurich in late April, but when I booked the tickets, I only received two tickets, one from Ventimiglia to Pavia, and one from Pavia to Zurich. How do I book a ticket in advance from Nice - Ville to Ventimiglia? Thanks in advance!
I’m currently planning the first leg of my trip to Europe in May. At the moment, I am looking into home stays and hostels, but haven’t booked anything yet. My flight lands in CDG at about 8am. If I book a hostel, I may not be able to check in until 2pm. Can anybody give me some suggestions for what do to early morning in Paris? Is Roissy-en-France worth a visit? Or is it better to head straight into Paris? How long would it take for me to get from the airport to city centre?Anywhere, some lowkey exploring, where I can go and maybe sit down, eat and take a break?Arriving this early in the morning, I’ll still have my bags with me.
I am looking to travel via train later in the year and currently in the planning stages. I am from the UK and looking to travel to Poland for an event. Due to the length of travel I’m wondering if it is possible to fly into somewhere in Europe and then start my railling journey or do I have to leave from my country of residence and plan in the long journeys?
4 Years Ago I booked a Eurail pass for 10 journeys and loved it!Now I am traveling to Europe again in summer of 2026. The destinations for which I would use the pass are:Madrid to Seville Seville to Barcelona Zurich to Interlaken (Switzerland) Interlaken to Bolzano (Italy) Bolzano to Venice Venice to Florence I considered doing the 5 day youth pass and then buying the cheapest one of these routes, but I did the math and it seems like it would be cheaper to buy all of the tickets directly from the national rail companies instead. Am I missing something here? What is the advantage to Eurail? Is it worth paying extra just to have the convenience of hopping on any train? If the 5 day youth pass costs 287USD, then I would only save money on the 5 trips if the average cost from the national companies is above 57USD per fare. The Switzerland journeys may be the only ones that go above 57USD, it seems like every other journey is about 25-40Euros. This is all before considering any reservation

Vielen Dank!
We are planning a trip to Lake Bled from London and are looking for ideas on routes and destinations en-route. We are new to interailing and any ides and tips would be warmly welcomed 😁 We are thinking about going in June and travelling for around a week in total
We traveled to Venice in 2024 at Christmas time. Because the most direct route through France was still blocked by a landslide we went via Basel using an inter-rail pass. The journey there was fine. Coming back in the period between Christmas and New Year, however, the journey was ridiculous. When we got on the train at Basel for Paris every single luggage space was taken up and we had to fit ourselves and our luggage into our reserved seat spaces. This Christmas the direct line was open again and we were able to take the Frecciarossa train from Lyon to Milan. (This train journey is not available on inter-rail.) Once again the journey to Venice was fine. We extended our holiday till the 5th January in the hope that this might make for a better return journey. However, although we were able to safely and comfortably stow our own luggage at Milan, we were horrified to discover when we alighted the train at Lyon, that luggage had simply been left in the area between carriages bloc
