We are travelling from London to Leipzig in a couple of months and have reserved seats on Eurostar and the night train from Brussels to Berlin.In Leipzig we will be having some day trips,  eg Eisenach, on local trains where reservations are not necessary or sometimes even possible. And we will  want the flexibility in our return time.I am not clear how we will use our passes.  Do we just hop on a train and show our pass? Or do we need to activate the jourey once we are actually on the train?

Hi there, I am travelling to Europe in April 2026 and I have already purchased my Global Pass and planned my trip.  I am trying to book reservations on the trips that require them but I an unable to book such reservations.  Is there currently an issue with booking reservations that I am not aware of?Thanks

We have been travelling around Europe for the past fortnight using our Eurail pass.  We’d booked the seats through Rail Europe and added each leg to the Eurail app with no issues, and toggled the trip as active when required.  We’re travelling from Paris to London this Friday and have booked our seats through Eurostar, received the confirmation email and printed a paper ticket etc.  Our ticket advises the train is #9023 with departure at 11.02.  I’d previously searched for this on the Eurail site but couldn’t find a corresponding train.  Based on this community I found someone mentioned a bug in the system which lists trains around 30 mins earlier than  what the ticket states.  If that is still the case, if I see the #9023 train listed in the app at “approx” 30 mins earlier than 11.02am - is this definitely the train to link on the Eurail account - and therefore toggle on tFriday?  I’m worried I will add (and possibly board) the wrong train by “assuming” my train is the one that’s list

Good day,I have accidentaly deleted my past journey and I dont know how to recover them. I need them for the documentation of my travel and am kinda lost on how to get the info back.Is it possible?

We're doing our first interrail to the Baltics on a 7day pass and wondering about the best route there. We're thinking of getting to Amsterdam from Oxford on the first day then using the second day to get to Gdansk probably via Berlin. Is this the best route?We've also looked into booking the sleeper to Berlin via Brussels but found some problems which put us off. It looks like, when booking through the app, the number of sleeper reservations are limited for pass holders and also bookings don't open til late Jan, so.we're worried about missing the booking slot. Using a different booking tool, reservations for our mid July dates were possible but it looked like (even though i entered our pass details) it was going to cost the same as if we didn't have a pass- and booking an Amsterdam hotel near the station would be cheaper. Am I missing something? Also as the sleeper crosses 2 days presumably this will use 2 days worth of pass even if we go no further than Berlin on our first day?I'll b

We are going in july 2026. I would appreciate any advice/reccomendations with navigating/staying in Albania.We are travelling from Athens Greece to Albania, and then into Croatia. Hi! Im traveling from Utrecht to kopenhagen and back twice in 1 month, thus I bought the interrail pass for 4 days in 1 month. I have a free student travel pass in the Netherlands in the weekends, thus I wont have to use my in and outbound the first time traveling. Is this possible? How do I turn that option off? Or is using the outbound mandatory the first day you travel? I have a transfer at Hengelo, so I thought about activating my interrail pass then (or the first stop after the border, so in germany). What is the best thing I can do? I couldnt find the answer at the forum. Thanks in advance!

Hello Everybody,today Saturday is the very first time I use 10 day pass Eurail. I have activated the pass, bit I only receive a the Tiket with a code wuth numbers and letters. Is it necessary to receive a tiket with QR code like others ?and second, it appear a botton with One day available, when I should clik this bottom or it is automatic when the tiket is cheked in the train by the controller ?Many thanks for your help

I want to make sure I understand how it all works.  I purchase the pass now (7 travel days), travelling in May 2026.  I can activate the pass now or later.  I must activate the pass to be able to reserve on trains.  I can reserve starting 90 days prior to train travel date, but not before. Do I have to do anything for my pass at any train stations or do I just show up and board my train?Appreciate your time!

Hello,I am planning my first trip with Interrail.I will be travelling through various places to Lisbon. From there, I will be going on a long hike. The rest of my trip will continue from Faro in southern Portugal.How do I go about interrupting my travel plans in order to continue my journey or start my return journey from a different location?I haven't been able to find any help with this. It is difficult to find an Train from Paris to Chartres in the afternoon in May. Does anybody have an idea. There are works on that route.

We are having trouble planning our trip - this is our itinerary but when we use the interrail planning facility it does not come up with a lot of the train routes (although I know from other sites that there are trains running ) - not sure why?  Can any one help?Mon 30 March dep. hello!I’m trying to book the Fjordline ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansand using the interrail discount code that is given on the Fjordline site. The site says that for my chosen date of departure there are no more tickets available. If I don’t enter the code the website lists the departures of this day normal. So my problem appears not because the trips are fully booked, but apparently due to the interrail-discount… Am I doing something wrong?t(he code does not work on specific days but the MS ferrys you can use the code on drives these days)Thanks a lot!

Hello,I am trying to plan a train trip from Barcelona Spain to Paris France. I am looking to travel on Thursday August 13, 2026. I noticed they have a direct train (6hr 46 min) for June and July but not for August. Instead, you are required to take several connecting trains with trips much longer than 6hrs in total. Is there some kind of planned outage for that line in August 2026?Thank You for your help.Shawn

Just about to plan an Eastern Europe trip for 2026  (before Putin takes it all !).Never used Interrail before so please excuse my lack of knowledge.Can I go direct from London (my home)  to Paris on Eurostar as my first travel or should I fly to Mainland europe and work from there ?Any suggestions ad/or tips for an Eastern Europe trip beginning and ending in London would be most welcome
