When will Eurostar release the schedule for direct train routes from London to Amsterdam for traveling in August 2026?

Just thought I’d share how two different refund requests were dealt with.On Thursday 22 January I was booked on the Golden Pass Express from Zweisimmen to Interlaken Ost. Boarded at Zweisimmen and made myself comfortable. Noticed that the lights dimmed every now and then and there was a lot of activity. After about 15 minutes we were told the train had failed and to get another train to Interlaken Ost from “that platform over there”. So we wandered over, got a train to Spiez, changed there and arrived in Interlaken, No big deal but it wasn’t direct and it wasn’t on the booked service. So I filled in the Montreux Oberland Bahn webform looking for a refund of my reservation fee. They replied (quickly) that the train had operated but with a delay. I replied we were told to disembark and seek alternative transport. They replied that my message would be sent to BLS for comments. Radio silence since.On Monday 26 January my train from Brig to Milan was

My family and I want to travel from Freiburg Germany to Rome. We have kids and would like to travel over night sleeping. How can we book this 

Hey! I am currently planning a 6 week interrailing trip with 3 other friends, starting 29th April this year. We have all bought the continuous 2 month global pass. I heard that you need to book your trains in advance, and can’t just jump from train to train. I was wondering how far in advance we would need to book each train, especially the train journeys from each country to another. Does it get busier through May/June, so is that something we also need to be aware of? We were planning to book most of our hostels and trains as we go, so that if we wanted to stay an extra night or two if we really liked somewhere, then it would be possible. However, I’m not sure if this will be possible depending on if we will need to book our trains and reserve seats days/weeks/months in advance?Also, for our train back into London, we were planning to go from Paris to St Pancreas on the Eurostar. Apparently this train gets booked up super fast, so I was wondering how far in advance we need

I have just received an email saying that I urgently need to set up my pass as it will expire in 8 weeks - I only bought it about two months ago. Anyway - I bought a 7 day pass to use in a month and I have to activate it by the 23rd of march. My 1st day of travel will be the 1st of April. I think I have set it up, the last step I had to do is activate it. Do I need to activate it now? I hope this makes sense.

I have a 1st class travel pass.Am I able to reserve a 1st class Premium seat using this pass on Spanish trains ?

Hello,I have a reservation for the night train from Bucuresti to Vienna for tomorrow, but since around 2 days, the train does not appear in my Interrail App anymore. It still exists on the ÖBB website (where I also got the reservation from), which makes me wonder how it disappeared from the Rail Planner App.  Any idea if there are any train disruption I should know of?  Also: My reservation starts from Bucuresti though I want to hop in only in Brasov. Do you think that will be a problem?

traveling from Metz to Amsterdam, what is the best route. I assume we want the quickest route.  First time in Europe, trip is in February.

Karlsruhe nach Strasbourg, 2. von Strasbourg nach Lyon  und 3.von Lyon weiter nach BarcelonaIch habe eine Interrail Ticket und brauche nur noch Reservierungen.. Ab wann kann man die Sitzplätze reservieren und am besten wo für welchen Abschnitt? DB zeigt beispielsweise an das die Reservierung erst ab 01.04 möglich ist ? Bei SNCF finde ich keine Möglichkeit zu hinterlegen dass ich nur Reservierung benötige? Danke Grüße Peter

I’m looking to book the sleeper from Stuttgart to Zagreb on 24th June 2026. I’m booking through the Nightjet website. The page lists “Construction work - Rail replacement bus service”, but I can’t find any more information on whta this involves (or might involve, it might not be finalised yet). Does anyone know where I can find more information on the rail replacement bus service? If it is very disruptive, we might book an alternative route. Thanks! 

I am planning an interrail trip for five of us. I will be setting it all out on my app, as I have fir myself in the past. Is there an easy way to share the details with my four companions to save them having to add all the journeys individually to their apps.

Hi all!I am planning a trip from Rome to Zürich, but due to personal reasons it’d be more comfortable for me to take a Frecciarosa at 16:25 to Milano and then take last EC to Zurich, rather than earlier. I would have around 40 minutes planned change in Milano, but here is my question:If I wouldn't make it for the change to EC, there’s a RE80 to Lugano and after 4 minutes change an IC to Zürich, but if the RE would not make it for the 4 minutes change, I’d be stuck in Lugano. In that case, would I be entitled for accomodation due to AJC? It requires reasonable change time, which is fulfilled for the original trip, but not for the “emergency” RE to Lugano.Best regards!

Hey !! 👋🏻 Me and my friend have been trying to plan our interrail trip the past few weeks and it's so overwhelming we would love some help from someone who's been there.We are from Greece and the original plan of our trip was:Greece to Ljubljana by plane on 3/4. Stay there for 2 days.Ljubljana to Bern on 5/4. Stay 'till 8/4. (3 nights)Bern to Amsterdam 8/4 - 11/4. (3 nights)Amsterdam to Paris 11/4. Stay 'till 13/4. (2 nights)Paris to Barcelona on 13/4 and stay until 16/4 (3 nights).Then fly back from Barcelona to Greece. The thing is. Firstly we would like to explore Switzerland's nature, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc. however these are around an hour from Bern and there is not connection from Ljubljana to Interlaken. So we would have to go to Bern (explore there a bit) and then use another travel day to go from Bern to Interlaken etc and then back again to Bern. Das war mein großes Glück, denn so musste ich „nur“ die Hotels bezahlen. Hätte ich den vollen Preis für das Ticket auch noch selbst bezahlt, wäre ich über die fehlende Flexibilität und die unlogischen Regeln extrem wütend gewesen.​Das Problem mit der aktuellen Regel:Mein ursprünglicher Plan war eine große Europa-Tour: Von Biessenhofen nach Wien, dann kurz zurück nach Hause (Wäsche waschen, ausruhen), dann weiter nach Frankreich und später nach Spanien. Aber das ist mit dem Global-Pass verboten, weil man im eigenen Land nur zweimal fahren darf (einmal raus, einmal rein).​Besonders für mich ist das eine große Barriere: Ich habe eine Behinderung und kann nicht viele Wochen am Stück alleine unterwegs sein. I'm attempting to make a booking from Australia. The booking is for a trip on April 28, 2026, from Ancona to Patras. I insert all my and my wife's details, as well as the discount details for our Global Eurail pass and our passports. However, when I click on the 'Port Agencies' button, I receive an error message - ‘default extra not found’. See the second picture below.If I leave that blank, then I receive the error message 'Accept the required details to continue with the reservation.' See the first picture below.I have tried booking without the 'early bird' feature and received the same problem. I have tried different types of browsers to no avail. The problem occurs with either credit card or PayPal payment types. Hey! As suggested by the team at Interrail, me and my friend are now using the online trip planner to support us in planning trains and journeys. We are struggling on planning our route from Nice to Rome. The only option its suggesting is 35 hours long via switzerland. Please can you advise us on the best way to do this travel day. We are aware its a 12 hour journey. We have a global pass.  Thanks!

Hi there,My friend and I are travelling from London to Paris on 28 August 2026. We have already booked the Eurostar separately and will be arriving in Paris at 21:00 on Friday 28 August. We have accommodation booked for two nights in Paris, followed by three nights in Nice.After Nice, we are hoping to continue our trip through Milan, Rome, Venice, Innsbruck (Austria), and Zagreb (Croatia), before flying back to London on 12 September.We have purchased a 5‑day travel pass within one month, but we are unsure whether this will be sufficient for our itinerary or if a 7‑day pass would have been more appropriate. Hi, i was on a trip earlier this month and left my country of residence once and reentered. the 22. of january i would spend my last two days of travel, ive read that i cant exit and reenter my country with my interrail pass again. I was looking at a ticket where i would pay for a ticket to padborg and continue on the train with my interrail pass. Would a ticket to padborg suffice and i would leave the country on the interrail pass? i would buy a ticket to a stop thats right over the border, but the train im looking at only stops there between copenhagen and hamburg. (Padborg is bordering the danish german border but is technically within denmark)

When using your Eurail pass for the discounts on Ferrys, does that count as a travel day?  Such as the overnight ferry from Barcelona to Civitavecchia.

Hi everyone,my daughter is trying to book EN Tickets for her and her boyfriend on OEBB app for end of April. She has an Interrail pass and he hasn’t. So if she enters both of them, she gets “no tickets available”. It seems to work only if they both enter the same discounts.In the past I haven’t encountered this problem.Is there any way to book their tickets together, maybe on another site/app since it’s not an OEBB train?
