Salve, dal 16 al 31/8/26 vorrei raggiungere Lourdes da Roma e ritornare.Qualche consiglio? Vorrei dormi re sempre in treno per risparmiare e non fare i cambi treno di notte o comunque con buio.…Grazie!
Hello, I’m based in London and would love to travel to Italy (Bologna) by train, but the journey length and cost seem daunting and I keep putting it off each year.I currently have a 4-day Interrail pass that expires in November but can get a refund if I don’t use it. At this stage, I’d need to pay at least £100 in seat reservations on top of the cost of the pass, plus one extra night’s stopover accommodation each way (I have insomnia so would prefer not to take the overnight train). The length of the journey also seems daunting. Last year I travelled from London to Aix-en-Provence by Eurostar+TGV and loved the journey - the scenery was beautiful - but it only took one day so it felt manageable. I would want to split the Italy journey into two days.My friends and family say I should just take a plane (I haven’t flown for 9 years) but I am worried about climate change.I’m stuck in a rut and would be grateful for any advice please. Many thanks in advance!
I am a uk resident but starting my journey by flying out to Warsaw. Can I use my global pass on both the Eurostar from Brussels back to the UK and then the uk domestic train to Scotland three days later?
I’m planning a rail trip to Tuscany with my wife. We are both seniors. Leaving from Newcastle. We plan to break the journey and stay somewhere like Arles for a night or two then onto Lucca. We plan on staying in Lucca for a week or so. Then onto Como for a short stay. We will be visiting Belgium to make a trip to see the Menin Gate memorial. Any advice would be welcome.Thank you.
Hello. My wife and I are staying in Bellinzona, Switzerland for five nights and doing day trips from there. But wondering if we should cut it short a day or to see areas not close enough for day trips in Switzerland? I'm seeing a lot of scenic train trips, as well as lake cruises that we can use with the Eurail pass, knowing that some of them are only discounted. We have four days of our Eurail pass that have not been booked. Thanks
Hello everyone! I was hoping someone here on this community could assist me with my problem. When I activated my Interrail pass, I think I must’ve forgotten to add a specific start date. Yesterday I wanted to book a train and realized my validity period was set from the beginning of July to August. The problem is I won’t be starting my journey till the middle of August. Is there any way I can change my date, or request a compensation? In my app it says that it’s not possible to change the travel period anymore, but I mean I haven’t used any travel dates at all, so my pass would just expire without being used any time. I would be extremely grateful for any help with my situation. Thank you!!
Any feedback as to how the new Schengen rules affect crossing borders by rail when travelling on a UK passport. After entering the Schengen area and lodging fingerprints etc we are led to understand that some other Schengen area countries still want to check biometrics when you cross their border from the first Schengen country. How does it work in reality?
Please excuse my lack of knowledge but I'm new to thisI purchased 2 global passes (7days) and my question is can I simply add reservations and tickets I have purchased from both this site and Rail Europe to the pass before leaving for the trip in September
Hi everyone!I’m looking for advice on the best route to travel from Luxembourg to Frankfurt on August 24th using a 1st Class Interrail Pass, aiming to avoid mandatory seat reservations (or keep extra costs to 0€).So far, the best option I've found is this one: 09:21 Luxembourg ➔ Trier (10:21) | Replacement Bus 10:41 Trier ➔ Koblenz (12:36) | RegionalBahn (RB) 12:56 Koblenz ➔ Frankfurt Main Hbf (14:21) | ICE As far as I know, this route requires 0 € in seat reservations (since ICE trains within Germany don't require mandatory reservations, and RB/buses don't either).A couple of questions for those familiar with the area: Is this indeed the best connection, or is there a faster, more scenic, or more reliable alternative? Are 20-minute connection times in Trier and Koblenz safe enough considering potential replacement bus delays or DB connections? Thanks a lot for any tips or recommendations!

I just reserved my seat for Brussels Midi - Paris Nord (eurostar) on the B-europe (sncb international website) using my eurail code. On the app it didn’t register as a travel day, do I have to manually make that day a travel day? Or do I leave it how it is
I am a resident of Italy. I have a 4-days-in-one-month Global Pass; if I take the train from Milano Centrale to Paris, is it considered an outbound journey? Does the leg in France count as one of the pass's four travel days or not?
I just woke up this morning to find sitting in my inbox an email from Rail Europe informing me of a Trenitalia strike on 23/7-24/7 and, to be honest, I haven’t a clue what to do. We are travelling out on 23/7 from London St Pancras on the 11.31 to Paris. Catching a TGV to Lyon and on the 24th catching two Frecciarossa trains from Lyon to Milan and Milan To Rome. We are then spending a week in Rome before returning. Do I have to cancel the trip? I suppose I could try and re-route to go on the TGV to Milano Porta Garibaldi but then I would still be stuck in Milan? Suggestions please!!Peter
Hi, 2 adults and 2 children with flexi tickets. would like to travel from Newark UK to London Kings Cross, then walk over the road to St Pancras and get the train to Paris Nord. Then the reverse on our return. I have been told by Interrail this is not possible. they have said Paris to London would be the inbound, so cannot then go from King’s Cross to Newark. They said it would use 2 travel days ( it is all within 1 day midnight to midnight) and that I will have to pay separately for King’s Cross to Newark. Yet their email says we can use as many trains as needed to complete our journey, as long as within 1 day. I cannot therefore understand why we cannot go from Newark to KX, then St Pancras to Paris as one out bound, then the reverse as our 1 inbound. can someone please explain???is it because we change stations in London? so they think we are stopping off in London? or is the advice they have given wrong. many thanks in advance
Hi everyone,I'm a software engineer based here in Linz and a huge fan of the ÖBB Nightjet network. I kept finding it frustrating to track price changes and availability for my own trips, so I built a small tool to automate the price checking for me.It’s a personal project, but I’ve cleaned it up enough that I think it could save others some time, especially when planning multi-city routes. You can access the live preview https://refactored-invention-sigma.vercel.app/.. . Please note this is currently hosted on Vercel’s deployment environment while I finalize the custom domainI’m not selling anything. Just trying to make rail travel a bit less of a headache. If you have any feedback on routes that aren't showing up correctly or features you’d love to see (like price alerts), let me know. Happy to hear your thoughts!
My girlfriend has booked my seat reservations but I can’t see them on my account even though I have imported the trip plan she made. Where can I see my bookings?
Hi all. I'm worried about sometimes only having 5 minutes between interchange trains. If a bought a ticket from Zermatt to Interlaken but for example the train interchange for Visp to Spiez is only 5 minutes do I ignore that and just get on next train.? How does this work with reserved seats and luggage?. Sue 🤗
Hey! Is there any locals or experienced who can tell me if it is risky to buy your seat reservation one day in advance with these routes:It’s Saturday the 1st AugustAlgeciras - Antequera-Santa AnaAntequera-Santa Ana - Cordoba CentralCordoba Central - BarcelonaBecause it seems like we can’t buy it online… we have tried Eurorail, but tells to buy it at the stationHope anybody can help three Danes out
I am trying to book a seat for the Frecciarossa train Paris-Milan with the method I used successfully for other trains, but this tells me something like “No prices found. Passholders may be sold out on this route, but there are other ways to check availability. You can find more information below our timetable.” On the Trenitalia site there seem to be seats. Anyway I cannot book the seats from here. There are other methods to book the seats?
Hello!Me and my friend are going interrailing this summer, we both have a global mobile pass. She has booked some seats for the both of us, but i am unable to see them on my profile. Is it still ok even if the seats arent connected to me? Is there any way i can get them connected to me?Thanks for help in advance! Karoline
I had a night train meant to leave Mannheim Germany at 11pm to go to Prague. It was delayed a few times but at about 1am the screen shut off and I was told by other passengers that it was canceled. I couldn’t find any record of this on my phone but the main station was shut and there were no staff around. The holiday inn was booked out so I hung around in the lobby and found a 3am flix bus for 90 euro. That all worked out and I made it to Prague. When I went to submit my compensation request they required my eurrail pass ticket.I however, didn’t activate the travel day because after the first delay of the train I was anxious I would need it for another journey if I waited till morning. But because the hotel was not an option I caught the bus that I paid for out of pocket. I still had a seat reservation and I paid $500 for the pass itself — I just didn’t activate the travel day for that particular trip.I have sent sooo many emails, including my e-ticket and a DB office proof of train ca
My phone needed factory reset and now I cannot access my pass but it's the same phone! Eurrail says my pass is on other phone!? Please help as I am on the train!
