Travelling by train

Hello,if I miss my train (takes too long at airport to make my train connection ).  Can I take the next train w same route without needing to cancel and rebook again.  On the tickets it says; valid for ~24hours. But also says cancellation free before 1st valid day.  Which this train would be my 1st train ride on the eurail.Seems like read where I  would need to cancel and rebookthank you 

We are seniors and will travel from Utrecht (Netherlands) to Rome and back.We have booked our tickets with the Global Pass.But it turns out impossible to book beds and seats.OBB sent us back to Interrail to book the beds we need.What to do???

Hey. Ich habe die Railplanner App und es sagt mir, dass die Strecke von Deutschland nach Barcelona nicht durch das Pass Netzwerk gedeckt wird. Wie kann das sein? auf deren website steht sogar, dass man dort hin fahren kann?

I have a Senior citizen 1st class ticket from Milan to Basel on train EC54 and cannot figure out where to buy a seat reservation. Help! 

Hello,we are a family of 4 traveling to Europe for the first time next week. 2 Adults and a 20 year old and a 11 year old. Our plans are this. 24-26 Frankfurt. 26-27 Munich 27-29 Salzburg 29-1 Bern. 1-2 Frankfurt for the flight home. We also Land at 6AM on the 24th. Trying to understand the rails. We will do some inner city site seeing most days but it looks cheap to pay as you go for those. But trying to figure out if I would need both a EU global pass and a Swiss train pass. While in switzerland we are thinking of the train ride goldenpass express I think its called. And hitting museums. Just not sure if the EU pass and pay for the other stuff in Swiss is better or how this works. Thank you

Hi there,  i am looking to get a global pass this summer to travel from France-Switzerland-Germany-Netherlands, but have not purchased the pass yet. while i am looking at train times between Paris and Bern it is seemingly taking a strange route that takes over 10 hours. this is confusing to me as on RailEurope, they show a train route that travels to Bern vis Basel sbb. wondering why this much shorter (4hour) route is not showing up on the train times page.  cheers

El mapa de eurail es muy genérico y no permite escoger una ruta, con click al icono de “cómo llegar”, lleva a Google Maps y, por ejemplo, en Google existen trenes de Sevilla a Málaga pero esa ruta no existe en el mapa de Eurail.Deseo iniciar un. viaje por España, desde Sevilla; levantarme y decidir adónde voy, ir a la estación comprar un pasaje y ya está; o un Global Pass continuo de dos meses. The 30/12 to 02/01 I'll be not far from Liechtenstein and I would love to discover 🇱🇮 But it seems quite difficult because I can't find any transportation the 30 and 31. 🤔 Do you know why ?  If your a traveller near (Bodensee) Lake Konstanz or Liechtenstein I would love to meet you ( discover some places, have a coffee, talk etc ) 💃🏻

Hallo an alle, ich bin völlig überfordert mit der Reiseplanung von Stuttgart nach Split (Kroatien). Ich verstehe nicht welchen Pass ich benötige. Hi everyone!I am checking on the Deutschland-Ticket (49 Euro per month) for German local, public transports.I am little confused about the validity time and cancellation here.So if I would like to travel in Germany in December, I can buy the ticket now (13. Dec)? And it will work immediately this month? What if I don’t need it in January next year, so I can cancel it by the end of December? Or there are some time deadlines for the cancellation?Thanks very much!

Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a 10-days Eurail pass but I haven't decided my travel plans. This is the first time i am planning to travel solo and I have very little experience of European trains. I will most probably visit germany for 3 days from Belgium (Cologne, Heidelberg, Frankfurt) but I am not sure where should i go next from Frankfurt. Can you recommend me any other destination from there or train which i can cover in 3 to 4 days? Thanks

Hello Everyone, Could you please confirm if this is the right train route going to the Strasbourg Christmas Market? This is our first time visiting a traditional Christmas market. Is the place near the main train station, as we want to spend until early evening and then go back to Paris? Thank you in advance.  

As an Interrail traveller, are I entitled to reimbursement of costs if a train is cancelled for a reserved train? On our last Interrail journey, this happened to us twice due to strikes in France and Germany. In France we were not informed in advance and only found out on the train that the train was not travelling to Barcelona but only to Perpignan (the strike was regional only there). To avoid getting stranded in Perpignan in the evening, we took the Flixbus to Barcelona. Afterwards, I applied to SNCF for compensation for the cost of the Flixbus plus the taxi in Barcelona (it was 2am on arrival instead of the planned 9.30pm), but both my electronic and paper mail requests were ignored. As a customer, I find this very unsatisfactory as we paid for the Interrail ticket as well as for the expensive seat reservation on the TGV (36€ per person). It worked better with Deutsche Bahn. The situation was similar, but at least they gave us a voucher for the amount of the extra costs.A

Hi! So, we will be traveling to Zagreb from Bonn  on Friday and the next monday we well be returning and we have left 3 day passes. My partner  has a printed global pass that she bought in Cologne and I have the mobile global pass. My doubts are regarding the use of the 3 days left. So: Friday: Bonn-stuttgart on an ICE train and then Stuttgart -Zagreb on a sleep train that we already have a reservation for. First doubt: according to what I understand this will only take one day travel as we will be boarding the train on Stuttgart on Friday, the same day we parted from Bonn. Am i correct?On monday we will take the sleeper train from Zagreb to Stuttgart so we will be arriving on Tuesday and then we will take an ICE train to Bonn. Second doubt: this will take our two final days of traveling as there will be the trip from Zagreb and the next day the trip to Bonn. Am i correct? Thanks!!

Hi,i have a global pass for 4 days within a month. I travel from Amsterdam to Salzburg (and back of couse). I travel on 4 different days. I have 3 outbound/inbound days for the Netherlands. What about the 4th day that i travel in the Netherlands? If i book a 4th journey, e.g. from Salzburg to Amsterdam, can i book it uninterrupted or just untill Emmerich in Germany? What’s is the best policy?Thanks, Jan
