Where can I buy separate tickets to travel to destinations?

We will travel from Madrid to Paris, then from Paris to Amsterdam. We don’t need a Global Pass, but I where can I buy the tickets to travel to that destinations? The mobile app shows me the prices but there is no option to buy the ticket. Thanks

Crossing borders during covid

Hi there! It is my first time travelling to Europe. With the current covid restrictions in place, can I still use Eurail to get between countries in Europe, or can it only be used within a single country?I am triple vaccinated and therefore will be able to obtain a vaccine certificate. I understand that different countries have slightly different rules regarding entry criteria. Therefore I’m wondering how the trains are operating at the moment to uphold these rules. For example, would I still be able to catch a train from Greece to Croatia if I met all the correct requirements for each country? I.e vaccine certificate, and negative covid test. Suitable bank card for travelling around Europe

I’ve been looking into bank cards for when I travel Europe and was wondering what cards have been used without having any problems with them. I’m thinking of using Sterling bank but want to know if you get to decide weather you pay in GBP or the local currency when using the card, does it work in all countries across Europe, do some places not accept a Sterling bank card. COVID 19 restrictions

Hi, my name's George and I'm from Greece. Today i asked the local train company information about eurail/interrail, conserning an imminent eurotrip I'm about to have and they replied to me that they do not collaborate with your services anymore since COVID 19 pandemic started. I would like to ask, if there are any similar restrictions to any other contracting countries,and if so, which countries are these? Thank you very much in advance.

Can I buy a single ticket for one train ride, one direction?

Is it possible to just buy one train ride, one direction, one stop? We just want to take the high speed train from Paris to Barcelona. I can’t see how to do that.

Countries on red list; Covid

Does the red colour code for covid mean that you can’t entre the country at all? I’ve had a look on Re-open EU (europa.eu) website but am still unsure. Also, do you need 2 or 3 vaccinations to be able to travel or is this dependant on the country and is it just you covid vaccination pass that’s needed.

Hiya, I am travelling from the Uk hopefully to most of the countries in Europe, is there a universal test test provider for lateral flows for travel accepted by all or many of the countries? If not where do you find the test providers accepted for travel to each country?

External certificated of vaccinacion

Hi everyone. This is my first time in Europe. Im traveling next week with my parter in Eurail. We are gonna visit Netherlands and Belgium so we are very glad. We are both fully vaccinated and we have the vaccinated certification of our country (wich is not in Europe) so we havent got the green pass yet. Are there any problems or risks if we only travel with the certification of our country? What could happen?I'll be so grateful to have an answer from you guys! Thank you so much!

Interrailing through Italy during covid

So I am really tired of the lockdown we have going on in the Netherlands and I want to leave the country for about 7/10 days. Now I’ve been looking online at my options for traveling to italy and visiting some of the cities there and I would love for some opinions on if this is a good idea and if it will work.Italy requires both being fully vaxxed and having a negative pcr test within 48 hours of arriving. My plan right now is to get a test, take the thalys and tgv and go to Turin in a day and then just travel around in italy for a week or so. I would like to know if people are doing the same thing as I am and if it will be a social experience and if it would be a good idea at all during covid. I would love to read any thoughts on this :) Also can you get on a train like the thalys and tgv last minute like this (booking tomorow for the day after tomorow for example) and is it only the 30 euros extra my trip planner says it will be? COVID updates

Hi! I was wondering what the current COVID rules were and where I’d find this information. I want to know what countries are/aren’t okay to visit and where I’d find updated information for this when planning my trip and while travelling, as well as the rules about interrail passes with COVID (refunds, pass extensions etc). I’ve had a look on the ‘Coronavirus information centre’ on the main interrail website but that hasn’t been updated since July 2021. Thanks :)

Taking other than the reserved seats in the reserved train in France or Italy

Hi to all! At the moment, as having described in the last topic, we are planning a trip through France and Italy together and unfortunately, it is not possible to get coherent seats in some trains.That’s why I’d like to ask those who have already travelled to France and Italy if it is a problem if you choose other than the reserved seats in a train where the reservation is compulsory - assumed the train is not crowded and there are many empty seats. Is it important to take exactly the reserved seat showed in the reservation or is it sufficient to take the train mentioned there? Which purpose follows the reservation in France and Italy - just the one that every traveller gets a seat or also the other one that every traveller is assigned to a special seat? I’ve also read nothing about a fine for travellers just using another seat but the same train. Thanks for your answers!

Haven't got a vaccine. Travel possible?

Hi guys, looking to do a bit of travelling in the coming months all being well. Haven’t got my covid vaccine and won’t have got it by the time I plan on travelling, however I have recently had covid (tested positive 31st December 2021) and recovered since. Would I be able to get into most countries by showing them proof that i have had covid within the last 6 months and following that up with producing a negative test upon entry into that country? Just let me know honestly what my chances are like if you have experience of this or know anyone who have had a similar situation. Appreciate any replies.Many thanks,Joshua.

Refund or Extensions due to covid

Due to the ongoing problem of Covid variants, we are still having to postpone our trip. We purchased first class global Eurail passes Mar 3 2020 just before Covid erupted. Should we get a refund now, or will there be another extension of the dates for their valid use?

Train travel between countries within the EU; Covid requirements.

We have train tickets booked on Eurail. For April 2022. I would like as much information as I can get about travel by train between countries. Is there border patrol and covid tests necessary every time? Is a Canadian vaccine card recognized there? Are tourists welcomed? Any information I can get will be very helpful. I feel like I have lots of questions and when I start typing I forget some so if there’s something we should know I’d be grateful to hear about it!!!

Passport checks in trains/ferrys?

Hello!I am planning to visit Berlin, Croatia, Italy and France next year. I assume I need a passport for this, but what about passport control? Is it like in airports where they check your stuff at the counter and at the security? I am also going by boat to Croatia, departing from Italy. Does anyone know how and if they will check my passport at the port?

Train delayed - couldn't get the next ones

Hey guys, me and my friend vici got two interrail tickets (4 days within a month). We just took the Nighttrain from Narvik to Stockholm yesterday. But the train got four hours late and so we couldn‘t get our trains back to germany.Now we must take a train at 17:18 and will arrive tomorrow in the morning instead of tonight. The problem is, that our tickets won‘t work for the last two stops. Are there any solutions for problems like that?Thank you

France: Eurail/Interrail's problem child

It has been many years now that France has limited Eurail/Interail access on TGVs. TGVs require a reservation. Unless you can plan way ahead--which defeats much of the beauty of the Eurail--it is often cheaper to buy tickets online than to use a pass. Not only do you have to get your reservation, too, which increases the cost of each individual trip, but the SNCF limits the number of Eurail-pass-holder seats quite a bit. As a result, I have been caught more than once holding a pass but having to buy a regular internet ticket when I wanted to take a train 6 or 7 days out (not knowing when I would want to travel in advance).This is exacerbated by the fact that France has, for over 10 years now, poured resources into money-making TGVs at the expense of slower regional trains. Sometimes it is impossible to avoid a TGV or at least extremely difficult to travel by train other than TGV or a night train (which requires also getting a couchette, another expense and you don’t get to see the cou

Germany - anyone travel there now?

Curious if anyone is in Germany right now? I'm thinking about going there in mid January and just wanted to know on hand experience about the restrictions. I have read about them. Vaccine and mask. But I'm unsure about the quarantine? If anyone can tell a little about their current experience I'd appreciate it :)
