What are the rules in France and Spain regarding travelling with a dog?

Planning to travel with my dog (big dog 35 kg) super relaxed and old , from Germany Berlin to Spain Zaragoza , does anybody know about the rules in France and Spain if is allowed to bring my dog with me ? Do i have to get separate dog ticket and so on ? Thanks so much im advance for advise :) Enjoy summer everyone

Interrail on private train operators in Sweden

HelloI am going around in circles regarding which private operators in Sweden accept the pass. The list on the IR site says one thing, ACP (another retailer) shows a different one and when I asked about trains run by Kalmar länstrafik the train operator said they did despite it not being listed! Screenshots of lists / Facebook chat conversations. One operator Mälartåg who operate around Västerås aren’t listed. Their social media says contact SJ as “they manage IR in Sweden” and SJ can’t help.Years ago when I sold European Rail tickets, we had access to the InterRail annexe which had far more comprehensive information than was ever published on the pass guides / T&Cs. Is there access to this at all to verify the full list? Thank youPhil Richards.

Are seat reservations mandatory for Visa application?

Hi everyone! I'm gonna apply for an Hungarian Schengen visa. I got an one month global pass. I'm told to present everything during the application. Flights (in and out) and accommodations are okay, they r fixed. However, I don't know how to present train reservations because I'm going to use the free trains mostly that doesn't require seat reservations. What do you do that? Is there anyone who had to apply for a visa like this?

WARNING Route Budapest - Bratislava is currently blocked.

Due a mudslide near Szob Hungary the Route between Bratislava - Budapest is currently blocked (atleast till mid August)Eurocities betwen Bratislava - Budapest will be diverted via Györ

Folding bike while travelling?

Hi everyone,Im going to travel with one friend (we are both 18 years old) through Europe (Germany, Denmark, Netherland, France, Spain) for 1 month.  We are thinking about taking folding bikes with us to be more flexible, fast and spend less money on public transport in the cities.  Do you think this would be a good idea? Or do you think we should leave our folding bikes at home?  There are no information in the internet about how useful folding bikes are while interrailing…Thank you!

October Vacation from Hamburg

Hi,I’ll be in Hamburg from August 27 to October 31 this year, and I have a “vacation” where I do not have anything to do from October 8 to October 23. I would like to plan a rail trip to some places in Europe, such as Prague, Naples, Amsterdam, and Paris, for example. I have heard that in some cases, a flight is cheaper than taking a high speed rail train trip. I would ideally like to not be in the cheap seats on a trip, preferably first or second class, so I have some room for myself. What are your experiences with traveling long distances by rail in Europe? Are flights better than rail for longer distance (> 8 hours by rail, for example)?

How to travel during UK train strikes?

Hi all,Like a few others here, much of my train travel (using my GlobalPass) was meant to happen in the UK next week which is now hobbled by the strikes and I’m wondering a few things.Is it possible to board a train even when reservations are full using my GlobalPass? Or is there some way to discern if a reservation is available further down the line, so at some point I’ll have a proper seat.Or if not, is there any affiliation with coach companies like National Express where I could use my Pass for a coach instead?Trying to sort out travel ASAP for June 21st, London > Penrith.Thanks.*EDIT to add that I’m arriving from Paris on Eurostar the early morning of the 21st.

Racial discrimination Venice to Rome in train

Really very disappointed after travelled from venice to rome . As not only on this trip but other trips as well faced discrimination and really in future will not recommend anybody to travel in eurailIt seems conductors in train treat people based on color and origin as we are citizens from USA

[UK] Strike of National Rail on 21, 23 and 25 June

Due to a strike of National Rail in United Kingdom, trains can be cancelled or delayed at 21, 23 and 25 June. If also Eurostar is affected is not known at the moment. Railway workers to strike over three days in June - BBC News

What documents do I need to complete for travel?

I am travelling to France, Italy and Greece (with a short changeover in Switzerland) and have been using the Gov.uk website to check the entry requirements of my destinations and which documents and forms I need to have for travel. Italy and Greece seem to have minimal entry requirements whereas France seems to require a health pass and an EUPLF. The health pass is fulfilled with proof of covid vaccination which I can provide. But I am still confused about the PLF, do I need to fill it out if I am travelling by train because information on some websites suggests it’s only required for air travel but I have found other websites saying it is needed for all travel? I’m also not certain on whether I need to complete it right now, or if I would get the chance to fill it out as and when it’s required.Can somebody help me figure out what the requirements are please?! (and if there are any other forms for me to fill out prior to travelling to ensure a smooth crossing then please let me know!)T

Night train sleeper booking

Hi, We are a family from Sweden with two younger kids and a little dog.  We would like to experice the night train through Germany to Swizzerland, and continue from there to our destination Sicily. Are there any night train with sleepers between Hamburg and Munich? so far jag have seen for example ICE1689, but there is no sleepers on that train, is that right? Again,  Duisburg till Basel, NJ 403, the price for a coach/ person is 159 Euro, is this possble? even with a interral pass? or am i searching in a wrong way? Exremly grateful for advice and tips.Many thanks!/Mei

Travel charges to my Bank Account?

Hello there! I am currently traveling in the UK with a Eurail Global Pass. I’m noticing that there a number of charges to my debit card under “TFL (Travel for London) Travel Charge.” At first, I thought these might be reservations, but reservations are not required at any of the trains I have taken thus far and the costs vary widely (£6-£30). Why is TFL charging me when I’m using my Eurail Global Pass that shouldn’t charge me? The only thing I can think of is when certain stations will card me in (as not all UK stations are up-to-date on mobile pass technology) that is making it charge me for an “uncompleted journey.”

Are Milano Centrale and Milano Rogoredo next to eachother. I have to switch trains

This is our first time abroad and traveling by train.  One of our legs is from Como to Bologna.  We go from Como to Milano Centrale and then Milano Rogoredo to Bologna Centrale.  Can anyone tell me if the Milano Centrale and Milano Rogoredo are next to each other?  It shows we switch trains.

Black Forest Konus travel card

Hoe kan ik het spoor zien waarvandaan de trein vertrekt?

Goede avond,wanneer ik een reis invoer om te kijken of er een trein naar een bepaalde bestemming gaat  zie ik enkel het treinstel nummer. Ik vroeg me af of op enig moment ook het spoor nummer bekend wordt.

Carrying bikes in trains Paris to Bergen

Hello, I am planning to do some bikepacking from Bergen to Trondheim. The plan would be to go from Paris to Bergen by trains in one go (39h!) but it seems that it is not possible to take bike in every trains, especially between copenhagen and Oslo as there is (only?) high speeds train included in the global pass (7 days). And these trains seems to not accept bikes. Does anyone have information or solution on how to bring our bike to bergen? Also some website are saying that I need to book a place for my bike independently than for my interrail tickets. Does anyone have an idea of the costs of these sorts of tickets?I was also wondering how the 7 days are counted, if one travel last 39 hours but is expanded on 3 days (let’s say leaving at 19h and arriving two days later at 10), does it count as 1, 2 or 3 days for the pass?
