Hello everyone! I’m travelling in Switzerland and Italy in early August this year, and I came across the Treno Gottardo (https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2022/may/04/rail-route-of-the-month-basel-to-locarno-the-slow-swiss-alps-classic) train which I want to take from Lucerne and Locarno. According to the Guardian article linked, it runs on a scenic old route even though its longer and takes more time, and is run by SBB.My question is this: Is travel on this train covered under the Eurail Global Pass? Also, does this have both 1st and 2nd class coaches? Any guidance on this would help me plan better! Thanks everyone :)
I am looking to travel from London - Armsterdam - Paris - Geneva- Interlaken - Venice.what is the best in term of budget and time? Eurail looks expensive due to additioanl reservarion charges. Time wise, flights could be faster but again, airport, check -ins etc could make it same.Has anyone done the maths? i am finding it very confusing. Any experienced travellers input would be much appreciated.TIA
What is the difference between Global pass and Europass? Can they be used in all countries?

I’m a dual Irish-British citizen born in London, grown up in London and living in London. I understand that I need to buy an Interrail pass, rather than a Eurail one - that’s pretty clear to me from this link: https://www.interrail.eu/en/support/interested-in-interrailing/do-i-need-an-interrail-or-eurail-pass It also says here ‘If you're a legal resident of Europe but not a citizen, we ask for your country of residence when you place an order.’ This also makes sense. However this implies that if you are a citizen of Europe, they won’t ask for your country of residence? Hi There, I was wondering if anyone else has had issues purchasing Deutschland ticket (49 euro month pass) from db? I fill out all the details, iban etc and get to the verification (verimi) and it just gets stuck in a loop. Any idea/suggestions? Thanks!
I bought a “15-day EURAIL pass”, but it is not possible to reserve only seats from Barcelona to Lauterbrunnen via the EURAIL app/website. Where can I make this seat reservation for August 1st? Thanks for any information!

We have a Scandinavian mobile flexi pass. On one travel day we will be travelling from Åndalsnes to Lillestrøm and we are contemplating popping into Oslo and back, a 10 minute trip. These trains are operated by Vy. Is the pass valid for Lillestrøm-Oslo-Lillestrøm journeys? If so, with trains running every 10 minutes, do we need to add the specific train to each journey, there and back? One hopes that our data on the phone will still be valid...

Folks have a bit of a dilemma and , finding no real info , so I'm hoping someone can tell me..... We are Irish Citizens ,So not the Own country rule....So We have interrail passes , now let's say We go from Florence to Rome and need to return to Florence that evening....so a day trip, then the next day , let's say go from Florence to Venice ,and return back that evening.....With Florence as a possible base.....is this allowed or classified as commuting, even tho not actually commuting....??? I have seen posts online, where people were Told by train conductor this was not allowed and invalid as can't do return.....the posts seem to be a good few years old , Now I was thinking, Maybe book as singles , so using examples above, but making individual seat reservations for outbound and inbound....I hope I'm making Sense....OR DO WE NEED TO WORK IN A LOOP FORMAT, Only using any given city once , which tbh will be a logisical nightmare.....not ness those actual destinations, just using as an e

Hi, I have a 10 day in 2 months flexipass 29th May to 28th July 2024. I have used 5 days and have returned home intending to use the other 5 travel days before 28th July. I note that when showing ticket on the App it says “This ticket is expired”. How can this be? My partner’s ticket has the same thing. We have both been online on our phones regularly so that shouldn’t be the problem. We need to know whether this will right itself when we intend using our remaining 5 days. Can you help?
I’m travelling from London to Sweden, leaving at 6am, arriving Copenhagen just before midnight. I need to continue to Sweden, train leaves after midnight so I have bought a separate ticket for that but it just struck me that it’s less than 24 hours after the day started. But presumably that’s just tough luck when you travel east - whereas if you travel to England (for example) you get an extra hour, until midnight GMT?

Had to come back early to UK so used up my outbound/inbound days. Still have 5 travel days remaining before end of July and wondered whether the UK/France border begins at London St Pancras International when you pass through French passport control there. If so, can you travel using a normal travel day even though technically you are still in the UK until the tunnel & not require an outbound day?

hi ,Can I travel on German buses with a global pass? I'm having a hard time getting an answer, I've read all sorts of things online and in groups. I need to go from Lindau to a small German town on bus 21 and if I get on it I can show the global pass ticket is it good? or if not can I buy a monthly bus pass which is good for all German buses ( long distance bus )best regrads,Christine🎱
