Hi, is it possible to travel to Switzerland under the Discover EU program? Information on different websites varies greatly, so I'd like to make sure.

Buenas!! que tal?? sigo teniendo algunas dudas sobre la reserva de asientos. He comenzado a planear el Interrail. En la app voy añadiendo los viajes en tren que quiero a Mi viaje. Pero ahora no me queda claro como compro los billetes. Si pone que la reserva de asientos no es obligatoria… ya no tengo nada que hacer?? puedo no reservar nada y aun asi subirme al tren? No entiendo eso muy bien…Osea si no es obligatorio reservar asientos, puedo no reservar asiento y simplemente montarme en el tren sin haber hecho ningún tramite? No tengo que hacer nada?Sólo tengo que hacer “algo” cuando ponga reserva obligatoria??? Me da miedo quedarme en tierra.  Gracias!!! :)

Hello train enthusiasts,starting at the end of september from France, I’m planning to travel to Cinque Terre through Switzerland (Bernina railway). Arrival date in La Spezia will be imposed and accomodation nearby reserved. But otherwise, I’d like to both take my time and not make any booking in advance so that I feel free to stop wherever I want in the moment.I experienced it last year in Switzerland, and I’m absolutely confident in the fabulous Swiss trains. I have an Interrail pass, no reservations needed and it’s pretty easy to hop on a train to the next station if I don’t find an accomodation.But what about Italy ? Can I travel the same way ?The route will be through Tirano, Lecco, Bergamo, Brescia or maybe till Verona, Parma. I haven’t chosen where I would stop for 1 or 2 nights (suggestions welcome), but I think I will have only short travel days so I intend not to use my Interrail pass but buy point-to-point regional tickets with no reservation needed. Hello, Should I specify every train, I am going to use when my day is activated? I need to travel from Chamonix-Mont Blanc to Annecy. I find that there is several trains with 2 changes for approx.  2 h and cca 20 minutes after 18:00. However Interail app suggestion send me over Geneve and the journey takes 6 hours with arrival after midnight. It does not work for me. Can anyone help me if I can travel only with active day without specifying train? Tomas

For starters thankyou in advance, Community.  If I were in the know I would gladly offer my advice to everyone.Today I am 90 days out on a trip from Barca to Lyon (August 4th).  I went to reserve seats for my wife, son and I and it states that I cannot.  I have (3) 1st class, Eurail Global Passes for multi days.  When I click o the Rail Planner app to make a seat reservation it launches an option to (Go to the website), so I do. On the website it states *Not available from Eurail.com.  This seat Rez can’t be booked on our website. Click More Info.  So I do.  From there it state in bullet points.  1. You can book up to 90 in Advance (today). 2. Print at home, and you get emailed up to 3 hours prior. 3. Post delivery up to 6 days before. and other facts that you will be booked in you class and placed together.  Also, you can book at the station, and only locally in Spain. What do I do or where do I go for the most seamless way forward with what I have (Eurail Global Pass)?  Is it the las

Non riesco a pagare supplemento obbligatorio del treno

I have activated a rail pass and want to get to Brussels from Marmande in SW France. The trip involves Eurostar from Paris to Brussels.  I could find seat reservations in the Interrail app. It referred me to https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/PassI went on there and booked a seat on a Eurostar for €31 and have received confirmation of that. However I can’t now find the particular train (17:55 from Paris) on the Interrail app. Any advice - what should I do 

We will be making our first trip in September 2026.  Currently planning on visits to London, Paris, Venice and Rome (with a Greek Isle cruise  between the visits to Venice and Rome) in that order.  Several questions; How far in advance can a pass be purchased?We will probably need a Global Pass (but that’s a guess), and the trip will be four weeks. When does the “clock start” on a pass?  At first use?How far in advance can reservations for specific trains be made?Are any of the trips between cities overnight? We are early risers so an early morning train is not a problem for us.We will be traveling with 3 fairly large bags, are they checked when boarding? Those may be silly questions, but we know nothing about the rail system and do not know anyone locally with experience.Thanks,

Hey,we have issues concerning the connection between Amsterdam and Copenhagen on the 3rd of August. We are currently only finding connections with at least 7 changes and we know that there are direct connections from Hamburg to Copenhagen on other days as well as quite good connections from Amsterdam to Copenhagen with only changes in Hannover and Hamburg. We don’t understand why this connection is so difficult on that day and why there are no direct connections on that Sunday from Hamburg to Copenhagen. Can somebody tell us the reason for that?And does someone maybe know any good connections? We’re from Germany so we know, that Deutsche Bahn is not really reliable. That’s why we are searching for connections with a fair amount of layover but that are still manageable in a day. We are also open to overnight connections from Saturday to Sunday, as long as the last major connection starts on Saturday so we only need one Travelday. Thank you very much for your help!

I have bought an Inter Rail pass to use in mainland Europe in September.When buying the pass, I selected United Kingdom as my country of residence as I am from and still live in Northern Ireland.I just activated my pass and note that beside “Residence” it says “Great Britain”.I am going to travel with my Irish passport.Will this be an issue? Should I have selected Ireland? If I have my driving licence would that be sufficient to prove UK residency if asked on the trains? Is there a way to change the CoR on my pass from United Kingdom to Ireland if needed to avoid any hassle with this?Thanks 

Anyone else having trouble booking Seat reservation between nyborg denmark and hamburg hbf? I’n doing it 2 days in advance, is that too late already?

Hey all! I'm figuring out which Interrail pass to buy and I'm doubting between a Global Pass for 5 days or for 7 days. Is it possible to now choose for 5 days, and to 'upgrade' that later (either before using the first travel day or even after using the first travel day) to 7 days? Pr is that a decision I have to made before buying the ticket? Thanks a lot in advance!

Good morning, We, as a family of three, will travel from Pontresina via Tirano, to Como in August this summer. From Tirano to Lecco there will be a bus instead of a train as a replacement during track maintenance. Does anyone here have recent experience with this  bus? We think it will be very busy, so we are a little worried about traveling by this bus with our group of 3 with our luggage. Thank you in advance.  

I am midway through a 10-day Interrail pass and was looking at my statistics, but I noticed they are off. For example, it says that I have visited 5 out of 8 countries on my trip, but some of the countries it says I haven’t visited I have already departed from a week earlier! For example, on 30.06 I took a trip from Berlin Gesundbrunnen to Gdansk Glowny, but it says I haven’t been to Germany yet.I find it quite fun to look at my statistics at the end of a trip, but of course if they are incorrect it’s not worth much. Does anyone know why the app would not include certain countries/trains in the statistics? In addition, where can I report this error?

HI ,I want to travel from Innsbruck to Florencein one day,  but I can only book the train seat from Bolzano Italy. Which I have booked, if I miss the connection that I booked can I just catch the next train or do pay for another seat reservation ?  Please advise

We only have a limited time and I was wondering is it possible to get to Assisi from Florence and return the same day? 

THIS IS AN URGENT SITUATION PLEASE HELP!!!I am travelling from London tomorrow but am unable to activate my pass. I bought an interail global promo youth pass at the beginning of this month. When I try to activate it, it says the nearest date I can activate it is the 30th August. This is clearly a mistake as on the website it states you can activate your mobile pass as soon as you have purchased it. Your help is massively needed as I am extremely stresssed as this is the only time of the next 2 years where I will be able to have a full month of travel and have been looking forward to this for months and simply cannot miss this trip. I accidentally pressed to activate a travel day today and so the app moved the start date today when my trip starts on july 30th, and it doesn’t late me change it anymore. I already wrote to the assistance, I know u can not change it but maybe they can do something cause I really pressed by accident. Did anyone have any similar experience? 

I have scheduled the activation of my pass from 13th of July to 3rd of August and i got an email today (10th of july) that says my pass was activated, why? Someone with knowledge about this please help me 

I have our passes and reservations for all planned trips during our vacation. The first place that we will interact with the system is to acquire tickets from Schirphol Airport to Rotterdam Centraal (reservations are not available). Do the kiosks accept my pass on my mobile phone to dispense the tickets?

Hi all,I booked a Nightjet ticket Munich-Bologna (first time in mini cabins, I am excited!). I might have changed my mind about getting off in Rome instead of Bologna (the train continues to there) because I get home easier like that. Can I do that? 

Hi there, I want to travel from Tallinn to Warsaw with stops in between in Riga, Klaipeda and Vilnius. When I tried to make seat reservations on the LTG Website, everything is sold out, like the train is already completely booked out. Does anyone know how strict they are with the reservations? Maybe I can even buy one on the train? Unfortunately I really need to take those trains because I book hotels and everything already. Thanks for your help!
