Stuck in Copenhagen - train cancelled

Hi, me and my friend are currently travelling with an interrail ticket from Bremen to Malmo C. Due to the øresund bridge being closed we are stuck in Copenhagen until at least midnight. Does anyone know if we are entitled to compensation for the hotel room we booked in Malmö or the hotel room we will need to book for tonight in Copenhagen?

Seat reservation TGV to Belgium. SNCF does not list non-French destinations.

I have booked a ticket in the eurail app for Lille (France) to Brussels (Belgium).The app says I need a seat reservation, but I am not able to make a seat reservation with a destination outside of france. You have to use the SNCF (French nat. train service) web site or app for the TGV trains, however this app won’t let you reserve seats for trains that exit France.

My flight to Japan from Florence on 15 March 2023

Hi Everyone,I have done 5 solo trips 4 is domestic and one I had an international solo trip to Japan.In 2023 I want to start with an international solo trip to Japan.I am looking for your help.This is my very first trip too far distance from my mother country.Japan is safe for solo travelers OR Do I need to hire any local guide over there? Simple question about starting from zero from the most clueless newbie possible

Wife wants to travel by train from Paris to London on Thursday, 20th of April. I go to the Eurail and other site’s pages, a train schedule she wants is available.When I try to buy a ticket, it says it wants either a  Paper Pass number or some other type of information she does not have. What is the first step she must do to begin the process of buying a train ticket from Paris to London? Thank you in advance,Robert for Tania

Is it better to buy two passes if I am spending a month in one place

Hi I am thinking of travelling Europe later this year and was thinking of spending 6 weeks travelling Europe before stopping and spending a monthish to travel Switzerland before doing another two months of internal travel. Should I figure out how many days I will need to travel each month and buy several one month, 3,5,6 etc travel day passes as I will be going for longer than 3 months?

How can I find my ticket

In order to add the ticket I bought to my visa file, I need a pdf format with my personal information and payment information on it. I could not find any information about my ticket anywhere on the site. I can only reach e-ticket from the incoming mail, but this is not enough. How can I download my ticket in pdf format? Can anyone help?

Timetable information for Spain

Hello all, Can anybody suggest a reliable source for timetable information for Spain? I have been using RENFE, and not finding much to suit my schedule, and then I decided to try DB and RailEurope, and found many more options listed. RENFE does not seems to list connecting trains (eg Apr 24 Madrid-Granada only shows 3 AVE services, but DB/RE show additional connecting trains via Cordoba, yes, would need two reservations) and does not list local trains (eg Apr 29 El Chorro - Malaga) at all. Very happy to use DB as a source of timetable information if it’s reliable. Also, I saw a post that said that seat reservations for Spain could be done via DB. I haven’t found a way to do this, get reservation not possible message. Is this still possible? Not a major problem as I will have done to make reservations while in Spain. Thanks George

Hello Community!My sister and i are planning our first interrail trip for 4 weeks in may and June. Because it will be our first interrail tour, we hope to get some help from you. I informed myself a lot, but I'm very confused, because of so much informations. First I will show you the route we want to do:We will start at 25.05.2023 in Valencia?Then: Valencia to Alicante, Alicante to Granada, Granada to Cordoba, Cordoba to Sevilla, Sevilla to Faro, Faro to Lagos, Lagos to Lisbon, Lisbon to Madrid, Madrid to Barcelona, Barcelona to Marseille, Marseille to Nice, Nice to Venedig or Nice to Milan, at the end back to Germany.My questions:I noticed that there are seat reservations required in Spain. Can I book them in advance from Germany at a DB shelter? Or do I have them to book on a RENFE site? First, we thought about buying a global pass, 15 days in two months. Do you think it's better to take less days and use buses instead of trains? Are buses like ALSA a good opportunity to travel chea

Hola, al hacer la reserva de asiento para Milán-Paris, seleccioné un viaje con 3 cambios de tren y pude reservar asiento para el primer y último tramo, pero en los tramos intermedios de dice "Listo para abordar". Qué significa eso? Qué asiento tendré en los trenes intermedios? cómo obtengo un ticket de esos trenes? Gracias

help in planning my 3 weeks in Italy and how to get best use of Interrail Pass.

Based in London, I’m a senior, solo traveller, and in Italy only having seen Rome and Florence briefly some 50 years ago, Then a sad trip to Venice (nothing to do with the city) in 2010.I want to get to know Italy, particularly its food and wine.  I’m a freelance writer and translator.I am attending a 1-week retreat in Perugia from 15 April and I would like to travel in Italy for 3 weeks after that, from 22 April to 13 May.Should I get an interrail pass for ??? days travel in 1 month?Can I use the Interrail to get to Perugia from the airport when I arrive from London?  I can fly into Florence or Bologna.  The 2nd class Interrail pass does not let you take airport train in Florence, it seems. Does this make sense economically?How do I get the most of the Interrail Pass in my situation.I am not interested in being everywhere, but rather in staying in a place at least 2,3 days and get to know it and its people.The wines I adore from Italy are not the expensive big names, no Super Tuscans

Hi, I cannot find a proper answer to which pass I have to buy. I hold a German passport but do reside outside of the EU (in Namibia): Which pass must I buy? The use of residency and nationality seems quite mixed up to me in the conditions. Thanks

Swiss Train Prices Unavailable

Is anyone able to tell me why I am seeing this message for this train in May? I was of the understanding that we don’t need to book seats for trains in Switzerland but am unsure what to do here. Does this mean this train is already booked out? Thanks for any help!!

Tengo problema para reservar en Italiarail con Eurail pass

Al reservar asiento en Eurail me dice que hay precios disponibles. Al tratar de hacer la reserva en Italiarail no me permite agregar al carro porque los números de pases de Eurail que ingreso en el formulario me indica que nos números válidos de Pass Number, y no encuentro cuál es el problema o cómo tengo que operar para poder realizar la reserva de asiento.

Hi all, I read somewhere that direct trains out of Spain to other European countries aren’t running this year. Is that true? Im trying to get from Barcelona to Paris in may this year, but before i book a reservation, was wondering if they will actually be running.. TIA Peter

UK Access to platform / gates

Hello community,We currently are planning to travel to the UK in summer. When going by train on regular tickets over there I remember there are machines for the  access to the platforms. The regular ticket usually has got to be put into a slot and the turnstile would open so one can get to the platform.How does that work with the EURAIL Global Pass?Thanks Frank

Hi all,my name is Wendy. We’re going on a interrail trip this summer in august. We are with 3. My husband, me and our 9 year old son. We live in The Netherlands.   Interrailling reminds me of the time when I was young and did a lot of backpacking trips to South America, Asia and Europe. Hello,I'm trying to organise a tour of France (with a possible trip to Barcelona) in March from Berlin (where I live). There are many things I don't understand.1) If I only want to go to France from Berlin, can I take a "One Country Pass"?2) Does my trip to the first destination in France count as a travel day?3) If I want to do a day trip from one place, e.g. go to Bordeaux from Paris for the day, can I plan a return trip?4) Some destinations do not exist on the tripplanner-map (e.g. Brest in Brittany), does this mean that it is not possible to book a ticket for this destination?Thank you for your help!

I am new to this game and I don’t even know what tags are. I have bought a five day pass and I want to travel to Brindisi in Italy in February I would like to take two days in daylight to see the scenery and one week later the same coming back. I hope to travel from Swansea in South Wales. Is this possible. I am on the verge of starting to get old 80 but I am determined to make it. I think it will be easier for me to book the individual trains at the stations. Does anyone think this is possible.? You have my kind regards, David shaw.

End of line in Germany - kicked off at Koln Hbf

Hello, Our journey in the app and on our pass was from Amsterdam Centraal to Mainz Hbf. Our first train showed it taking us to Frankfurt where we'd have to transfer for the last leg of our journey. However, we got to Koln Hbf and were told it was the end of the line. There was a group behind us that were also under the impression that we could stay on. They asked the worker and he said we have to get off, we have to listen to the announcements, and yelled at all of us for missing the 3 announcements telling us to get off. He said to go to platform 10. We rushed over there but there was no departing train that matched anything in our app. We looked for trains heading to Frankfurt or Mainz and there was only one and it was not on platform 10. It had already departed by the time we found it. We looked at 3 different information boards and a separate app for train travel and we could not find the original information we had in the rail planner.
