Every time I get to the checkout it says that something went wrong... this app and website is terrible..  Am I booking too early? We are trying to book for early June. WE already bought a 15 day pass (first class).

Hi All - I am planning on taking a first time interrail trip with my two boys. The aim is to go at the end of may/start of june for anywhere between 10-14 days. We live in Dublin. I’ve never done this before so am completely unsure of what is involved, what to book, how to book etc.My plan is to try to go from Dublin > Paris > Munich > Rome > Paris > Dublin.I wouldn’t mind altering/simplifying this route/plan slightly based on other suggestions!Happy to do this on a budget / cost effective way as it’s about going on a little adventure.For example I think we could stay in family room hostel in each location for 1-2 nights? I also think we could reserve space on overnight train to free up daytime?Would appreciate suggestions for this from more experienced travellers! :)

Hi 😀I have interrail global pass, and want to like to do a reservation for AVI 9742 from LYON PART DIEU (2:30pm) - Barcelona Sants (7:32pm). I get over the interrail seat reservation this error message: “It seems no price offer is available right now. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation, or buy a separate full fare ticket to board. You need to buy a seat reservation to board.”So i called SNCF and they said to me, this train doesn’t exist, so it’s an failure from interrail website. Could somebody confirm that to me? That i would look after a different connection.  More background information why this train: So I will start the trip in Munich, and want to be before 9pm in Barcelona. so I found the connection (5am start in munich - 7:32pm arrival in barcelona) Thanks for you help! Patrick 

HelloI have made 4 seat reservations on the TGV from Paris to Zurich at 12:21 on 5th April.We are a family of 4 but have been given seats in different positions in the carriage. I can’t work out how to change our seats (or if it’s possible) so that we sit together.Does anyone know how to do this, please?Thanks,Dave 

Hi,I am a Dutch resident currently living in Paris. I will need to travel from Paris to Amsterdam on the 21st of April and return to Paris on the 22nd of April. I will then repeat the same trip on the 5th to 6th of May, and later again on the 12th to 13th of May.I have been considering purchasing the Interrail Global Pass (10 days within 2 months). However, I am quite confused by the rules regarding traveling within the country of your residence. The website mentions something about inbound and outbound trips.Could someone clarify if I will be able to use the Interrail pass for my intended trips?Thank you in advance.

Hey ;),I want to cross the Border from Romania to Bulgaria this Summer, between Giurgiu and Russe. Unfortunately there are no trains in August and September, atleast according to the railplanner app. Does anyone know why and/or another safe way to cross?Thx

Hi everyone, We are coming to EU in Sep and saw a comment that there might be train works between Interlaken and Milan in August meaning buses are used. My wife is not keen on buses. Just wondering if there will be works closing this line in September please? Also the line from Milan to Tirano? I can’t see any notice of works on the SBB website.Thank you very much in anticipation

My problem is that I’ve reserved a room on the Caledonian, leaving Glasgow at 11:40. It arrives in London at 7:15am the following day. I am then travelling to Paris later that morning on Eurostar.As things stand, this journey uses up both my ‘home’ travel days, which is far from ideal, to say the least. I can’t afford to pay for a return Eurostar + Avanti WC to Scotland.I’ve seen people mention that I could, perhaps alter the departure time to CET i.e. 00:40. I’ve done this in the app but will it work? I’m terrified that we’ll arrive at Glasgow and not be allowed to proceed.I’ve also asked support to add a travel day - I’m waiting to hear back. The situation is ridiculous really - as things stand no-one can use the sleeper to travel south unless they are prepared to use up both allowed ‘home’ travel days.Any help would be very gratefully received, as this is beyond stressful.

Friends of ours are ending a boat trip late morning on May 17 in Barcelona and would like to join us in Paris. Whare is the best place for them to secure a train booking? The ones they found seem very expensive, considerably more than the trip from Paris to London that we are also going on together.  Is that right, or are they missing something?

We are 1st class Eurail Global pass holders. Seat reservations are required departing 11 May 2024. I have looked on the SNCF page and cannot find a place to enter my Eurail pass details. Please help.

Trying to escape the UK to Paris via London and Eurostar. London/Paris leg - no problem. All my local deps to London are “ seat reservations needed” and the system will not let me add this leg to the trip. Virgin Trains seat res. is NOT on the Eurail system. Stuck in a loop.

Hey all, thanks for taking time to read my question. I am planning to travel from my home country Germany to Spain this summer. I'd like to use the global pass. For reaching Paris I have to go by two trains within Germany on my departure date. Does that fit the Interrail regations? Or am I allowed to use the Pass for one of the two trains (on one day) only? Hi!As I’ve read in earlier posts the trains in the Balkans are quite tricky. I wondered if anyone could help me while I’m planning my trip.I would like to go from Split (Croatia) to Bosnia, preferably Mostar, and from Bosnia to Montenegro. How would you make this journy? Is it possible to go by train or do we have to go by bus? Is it unnecessary for me to by an interrail pass?

I have purchased pass for 7 days now my plan changed and wish to extend for 10 days I haven’t used my pass yet Possible to extend 

When I connect to Wifi or mobile data and search the trains from Heidelburg to Trier in Rail Planner it returns no results (see screenshot 1), but if I disconnect from Internet and search again many trains can be found (see screeshot2). How do I solve this or is it only possible to search trains offline? 

Hi, I’m wanting to book the night train from Stockholm to Berlin on 7th July, SJ are slow to release tickets, it looks like track work is planned. On their website they say tickets are released until 2nd June so far but when I’ve looked it says ‘not available’ even for then.Does anyone know if the track works are likely to impact the night trains? I’m mindful that I want to travel on a Sunday night too which may be an issue?I’m wondering if I should just booked with Snälltåget instead, but the reservation costs are a lot higher.Thanks 😊

Hello Interrailers. Would appreciate any info. on what Interrail discounts (or free on a travel day) are available for ferries/boats for short(ish) river/lake trips. I saw one Community post about Lake Constance, but the links are now outdated and the bsb.de site doesn't seem to have specific info. re. Interrail (that I can find in English). I will be on a GP in July visiting Salzburg, Munich, Black Forest, Metz, Ghent-Oostende, Amsterdam/NL, Magdeburg (Elbe?), Prague and leave from Vienna. If anyone has done any water trips in any of these areas I'd love to know what trips my 2 teens and I could take to connect even just 2 cities (e.g. Lindau-Friedrichshafen on a Munich day trip loop). Hi everyone, We are planning to purchase the 3 day interrail one country pass for swizerland as we will be most travelling within swiss. However, we are also planning to visit  Liechtenstein from Zurich. So are we able to use the interail one country pass (Swiss) to travel to Liechtenstein? Is this covered? Thanks in advance.

Hello Community,  I've bought several pass reservations for ICN and TGV trains in France thru several channels (interrail.eu reservation service,  sncf hotline, sncb and DB).It was necessary in all cases to specify names and birth dates except for pass reservations ordered at DB Reisezentrum. These reservations are on ticket paper and didn't require personal details. Should I be worried that these tickets from DB are accepted? SNCF hotline said that passenger name registration is required by law for all long distance trains in France.How will I get access to the station and pass the gates with these paper tickets issued by DB without any QR code?

Hi Community. I have asked several questions already and the responses have been extremely helpful. I have a question that may seem basic to those far more EURAIL savvy than me. We have a Global Pass 1st class and will take the train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Mulhouse TGV6705. I have a confirmed seat reservation. My question is about the arrival experience. When I arrive at the station, what do I do? Do I have to pass through a turnstile or do I make my way directly to the train? If I have to pass through a turnstile, how do I manage this as my EURAIL pass is on my phone. Thank you for your assistance in advance. Hopefully I have been clear about my question. 

I’ve just been ticket checked on a Railjet between Innsbruck & Kufstein.Sitting in First Class (not Business) with a first class pass.The guard insisted I should have paid a supplement of €15 for any Railjet journey. He said he’d let me off, since it was a short journey.I’m pretty sure he’s wrong, and the supplement only applies in Business Class? Or has something changed recently?
