Paris-Warsaw on August 5 is the last stop on my journey, but all of the routes have a problem within them. Most routes from Paris on the morning of August 5 have sold out, which is a problem, since I have a bus from Warsaw already booked. I would be most grateful for at least a magical train suggestion from Paris to Berlin. Thank you in advance!
Hello--I am struggling with adding a trip to the mobile app pass. We are a family of 5. I have activated the travel day and created unique trips under My Trips….but I receive only the option to connect to a paper pass when I try to add to My Pass. I appreciate any help. I have reservations booked for these trips, as well.
Hi,I have a global pass and was thinking of heading up to Finland and then heading to Estonia/Latvia/Lithuania but saw that Eurail is disrupted in this region, although there are buses available. Was wondering if anyone had travelled on the buses and what it was like.Or if anyone has an opinion on best way to move around that region at the moment. Thanks
For two of my passes the country of residence is wrong, since the drop down button did not show the option of Netherlands i ended up selecting Netherlands Antilles.I travel tomorrowDid mail the customer care hoping for a much faster response and help here.
1. We have planned our route via interrail planner, how should we confirm and get tickets for the journey? 2. What is happening in the situation, when one train is late and we won't manage to change our train on time? Should we take another train withe the same ticket we have or should we book another train ticket?3. And how should we count the outbound journey day? We leave on 26th of August at 3 a.m from Poland and we change the trains in Germany and we arrive to our destination point in Slovenia the same day at about 8 pm. Should it be counted as the outbound journey or the change of trains starts the first day of the journey?4. And the final question, We want to book the Glacier express in Switzerland, we have to buy ticket via Glacier express website, and we will choose the reduction for interrail. So is it counted as the travel day and should we put this journey to the planner?
I am hoping someone has a way around all the interrail site seat reservation restrictions. I plan on going from Lyon to Madrid on August 1. The first train is not sold out, it cannot be booked on the website. Can I only book it in-person? Other routes are sold out, I think. Are there any other "magical routes" through some other city or route? Thank you all in advance!
Hello. I am planning to travel from Budapest-Keleti to Wien Meidling with the regional train RJ 66. As far as I understood, regional trains do not need reservation; you simply have to hop on. However, the app says that reservation is compulsory. Has anyone used this conenction and could tell me if they required a seat reservation? Thanks a lot!
I’m a first-time InterRailer, planning to only travel in the UK on this first trip (there’ll be a bigger trip later). I noticed that all the UK-only passes are MORE EXPENSIVE than a Global pass! Am I being stupid and missing something? For example, the pass I’m looking at - 4 days in a month, UK only (adult) is 291 Euro whereas a Global pass for the same period is only 246 Euro. Am I liable to encounter problems just using the Global pass in one country? I know it seems like a stupid question but the prices just don’t make sense. As a secondary question: I’m a British citizen living in Greece for many years. From REAL LIFE experience please, how keen are UK train conductions on checking residency? Are they likely to think I’m ‘cheating’ and don’t really live abroad - I’m clearly British from my strong Northern accent, hehe and I’ll travel a lot - visiting friends and relatives using a lot of local, suburban trains as well as long distance. I have a Greek Permanent Residency card
So I’m planning a trip through Eurail and have already found out that alot of the trains don’t match on the app vs online (I did as much research as possible and I know that the app isn’t always reliable since timetables aren’t always current). My question is how reliable is the Eurail website timetables? A few of the trains I need require seat reservations (despite conflicting with the app saying seat reservations are only recommended), but when I double check the trains with a specific country’s timetables there are vast discrepancies. I’m afraid to make a train reservation on Eurail if the train doesn’t end up existing. Any advice on this? Should I just trust the Eurail website and go ahead and get the reservations?
Hello :)I just bought my interrail ticket and try to organize my first interrail journey!I`m planning to take the eurostar from Bruxelles to London but I`m not sure what I`m planning to do in Bruxelles/ how much time I need there jet so I`m nor sure which time I should reservate the train. Is it possible to reservate a train and then spontaneously rebook it, to be able to take the train that`s scheduled a few hours later? Or would I have to pay the reservation fee again? Thanks!
Hello! I am a bit confused: we booked one overnight ferry (Stockholm-Turku) and one short ferry (Helsinki-Tallinn), both with discount but not free. I assume this is not a travelday, but I am not 100% sure. Can anyone confirm? We have a Global pass with 7 traveldays in 1 month. Thank you!!Ella
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to find availability on a night train, I’ve clearly left it far too late as the closest I can get is either just a seat or a luxury cabin. I was thrilled to come across lots of availability on the NightJet from Milan to Munich on 11th August and changed my plans accordingly. I nearly finished booking the journey on the Night Jet website before having a look on Train Line and was gutted to see what looked like border controls in place between Austria and Slovenia just past salzburg . From Trainline it looks like you get off the Nigh Jet at Salzburg and get another domestic train to Freilassing, where you go through border controls, then get on another domestic train to Munich! Rather defeats the point of a sleeper train. Not mentioned on the Nighjet OBB website. Has anyone experienced this journey with checks? Is my research right because I really want a sleeper and it’s not mentioned by OBB?From a quick google it seems the border ch
Hello everyone!I'm going on my DiscoverEU trip next week, and the first train ticket, Warsaw-Berlin, is a paper ticket. While booking seats, the Interrail website does not let me put in my Latvian address, as the ticket will not arrive on time. Is there a way to get the paper ticket digitally and print it out myself?Thank you all in advance!
Hello everyone! I have received the DiscoverEU ticket, so therefore now I have the option to choose between flexible and fixed travel.I’m almost 100% sure to be taking the flexible option, but I’ve been struggling with the 251€ “budget”. I don’t get if (within a Travel Day) I can hop on ALL the trains I want, or either need to be writing down how much does each train cost and be careful about it?So that if I spend 200€ travelling to Sweden (for example), do i need to add 200-51 = 149€ of my own wallet for the journey back?
If on trains where seat reservation is mandatory and a person does not book it, can you still get on the train and travel? So if a person doesn’t book a seat when is obligatory what happens?
Hello, I want to make reservations for my trip on the Interrail website. I add the desired reservations to the cart but the cart remains empty and it is therefore impossible for me to pay. Has anyone ever had this problem? I tried to contact Interrail support but they don’t answer. Thank you all.
HelloWe want to travel (with our two kids) on a night train from Split to Zagreb in August (on a Monday night). The reservations tool seems to say we don’t need a reservation, which I am sure is not true! We want to book a couchette room so that we can all have a bunk. I have spoken to the Croatian railway company HZPP, but they said that with an interrail pass we can only reserve the couchette in person at the railway station. We will only be able to get to the train station on the day we want to travel. We can’t afford not to travel that night, as we have a tight schedule the next day. Does anyone know if it gets full up? Is it safer to book and pay for a couchette separately? it’s not expensive as there’s a special discount currently. Any thoughts very welcome! Thank you
Still on Monday I booked seat reservations from Vicenza to Milano Centrale, from Strasbourg to Paris Est and from Paris Est to Bruxelles-Midi. To this day I haven’t recieved the confirmation email with my seats despite the payment being processed and the bank report stating that the money has been collected by “Eurail Utrecht NLD”.It has been two days since I first contacted the support service and I recieved a single email by an operator on Tuesday in which I was asked to send the payment ID, thing that I did. After that I never heard anything from anyone. Also my seat reservation overview is empty. I should leave on Monday and there are no more seats aviable so I’m stuck in limbo seeing as my travel companion has managed to book his seats without any kind of problem.
Hey! Am traveling from Hamburg to Copenhagen with 2nd class global pass. 2nd class seat reservations are sold out. Can I make seat reservations for 1st class ? The train from H. To C is NOT a direct train hoes via Flensburg abd Fredericia.
Hello:) I looked for quite a while here for an answer of my question, but was not able to find a solution.I would like to book a reservation for the night train INI1960 from Siracusa (21:45) to Napoli (7:22). I would like to book two reservations for a private cabin. On interrail.eu it is just possible to book a 4 person cabin. On italiarail.com I can select it, but due to the known issue with this website I can not book it (The problem is, that they want an 8 digit Passholder number which is not available on the mobile app). On trenitalia I could also book a 2 person private cabin, but of course the whole ticket, I am not able to just book the reservation.Which option do I have to buy just the reservation for a private 2 person cabin for this train?I was thinking a long time to purchase the Interail ticket. It is my first time, and unfortunately this train would be the first travel of my interailtrip, as I am starting in Siracusa, and for the reason that it is so expensive on the Tre
I want yo travel to ireland and i have a global pass intrrail. Can i use this going to ireland and how?
Hi, this summer my girlfriend and I going to interrail in East Europe. We want to go from Sofia to Bucharest on the 5th of August, but it's impossible to book this train. Is there any other website to book this trip with our interrail ticket? Thanks for helping us out!
As I can’t make a reservation for the Bucharest Istanbul train online, and yet would like to avoid any potential disasters as I am travelling with my panicky father, would there be any way for someone to make the reservation for us at Bucharest train station/is there any way at all that I can make the reservation in advance: We will only be arriving in Bucharest a couple of hours before taking the train, so that’s why there could be a problem. In any case, how full would the train be likely to be in September? Thanks
