This November, I am travelling with a global Interrail pass from the UK down to Austria then Romania, then up into Ukraine. The latter will need to be paid for separately as Ukraine is not in the Interrail scheme. My last but one journey will be returning from Kyiv to Berlin. The Interrail/Eurail trip planner says that that this route is included in my Interrail pass, but that doesn’t seem right to me? I need some clarity, as well as an indication of what supplement might be required to get from Kyiv to the EU border (Zahony in Hungary?). Can anyone help?
Interrail Bucket List
Hi everyone! We’re creating an Interrail Bucket List with all the must-do experiences while Interrailing. This can be places to visit, things to see and food to try in any one of the 33 countries offered with our Pass.Examples include:Austria – watch a show at Vienna’s Opera HouseGreece – visit Shipwreck Bay (Zakynthos)If you want to be featured on our website, we’d love your suggestions! Comment below your past, present and future plans for us to share. I’ll pick the best items and create a poll to get your votes on which to include for each country. Slovenia; Advice for Soca Valley and Triglav National Park
Hi there!I’m a 26 year old woman from switzerland and I plan to travel through slovenia for several weeks, starting next monday. I really enjoy beeing in the nature and in the mountains, for example for hiking.Do you guys have any advice about which way is the best do discover for the triglav national park / julian alps and the soca valley without a car? I know there are tourist busses in july and august, but unfortunately they don’t run in september..If you are also travelling to slovenia in the next weeks and maybe want to join me for some days / an evening or what ever, don’t hesitate to contact me :D
Do you think Geocaching is a nice addition to your Interrail/Eurail experience? Why?Share your opinion
Hi there, mainly with my eldest daughter Loulou I started Geocaching a year ago & now my whole family wants to join on regular Geocaching adventures since they also like to go out for ‘treasure hunting’. Finding a hidden container with sometimes goodies to share is really fun for all of us.We love doing this and I am wondering if other Eurailers/Interrailers are also (actively) involved in Geocaching and if you can share any Geocache experiences alongside your vacations here. Ever used Geocache or Geocache Adventure lab?Hope to hear from you,DaanNote: As a company we are in contact with Geocache Headquarters on Geocaches newest feature Geocache Adventure Lab, these geocaches can be a range of hidden caches and be also hidden indoors and without a container.
Gotthard bernina circular tour
Hello,I managed to book the Gotthard circular tour in Switzerland by phone call, because it seems this tour in specific wasn't ready online. The tour does a roundtrip from Zurich main station to Chur, Tirano, then Lugano and finally back to Zurich. The web page https://www.rhb.ch/en/tickets-travelcards/promotions/gotthard-bernina-rundreise#info Says: "The price includes the ticket for the entire stretch" , but we exchanged the dossier number we were given for the tour tickets, and the tickets don't include Zurich to Chur nor Lugano - Zurich, hence my questions: Do we have to add Zurich - Chur, Lugano - Zurich to the interrail pass and consume one day from our travel pass?Or did we miss something? Regards.
Was könnt ihr empfehlen? Wir sind gerade in Krakau und der letzte Punkt der Reise ist Breslau.
1 Country Pass / 8days in 1 month (Italy)
I’m planning a trip to Italy from October 16-23, 2021. There will be 6 of us traveling. We are staying right outside of Florence. We want to do day trips on the trains to Venice, Milan, Piza, Rome, Naples and the Amalfi coast. Not to mention to and from the airports. We were thinking that the 1 country / 8days in 1 month pass will work for us.Thoughts?Any and all ideas will help with the decision. Thanks in advance.
Huge change in plans
Due to Covid, we are contemplating a huge change in travel plans. We were going to have a train intensive trip to Northern and Eastern Europe--due to difficulties with entry to Hungary and testing to enter the Czech Republic, we are going to, instead, spend 3 weeks in Italy with a lot fewer train days.I recently purchased 6 tickets for the family with the Plus feature. I need to replace the 6 passes with a value of about $4400, with 6 passes with a total value around $3000.Since it is a large cost downgrade, is it better to cancel and re-buy or try to exchange? Our travel will start in about 18 days from today.Suggestions?
