Hi everyone,as a new here i wanted to know if when i have to book a seet in a TGV i can select my seet in the train ? Some friends of mine coming with me but not with the Interrail Pass so can i seet with them or not ?Thanks for the response and have a good day !

I assume this is not a problem as I have purchased my seat reservations for our Eurostar journeys between London to Paris.  However there appears to be a mismatch between the times shown both for departure and arrivals between the planner and the official Eurostar schedules.    As far as I can see the mismatch is for all trains available for booking this year.  

Hi,I created several trips on my PC browser. One of the trips I used for purchasing reservations, let’s call it “trip 3”.But when I go to “plan your trip” in my browser, trip 1 opens. I can’t find a way to open and change any of the other trips. When I go to my profile, I find a list of my planned trips, but trip 1 is missing, and I can’t find a way to open or edit trip 2 or 3, I can only edit certain things like fellow travellers or the name of the trip.can somone help me to get that sorted out? thanks

Hi. Does anyone know, if I’m traveling on trains which don’t need reservations, do I have to catch the train at the time specified in my trip details? e.g. if I say I’m going to catch the 09:30 but I miss it, can I just hop on the next one?

Hi all, I’m travelling with my family of 5 and can not get my pass and those of my wife and kids to appear on the app. It bounces me back and forth but ultimately unsuccessfully. how can we get on a train without the app or get the app to appear. there is no phone number to ring and the chat bot is down. I submitted a query but will be waiting on a reply to that. 

Hello. I am trying to book a sleeper train from Paris to Salzburg on May 24th - are they all full, or do the routes simply not run anymore? When I look on the OBB website, it says that there are no routes for this. When I check from other countries like Belgium, a bunch of routes pop up. Does anyone have advice on this?  Thank you.

Hi, I'm not really sure if this is how you use this site so forgive me if I'm “ute och cyklar” as we say in Sweden ( “out biking” when someone is extremely unaware/wrong). When I was 8 (now I’m 19 turned 6 days ago happy birthday to me yay :D) my amazing parents took me on a trip through Europe, we went to many different countries but I fell in LOVE with cochem. It is the one place i til this day think about and miss. I have skimmed through recommendations and such but someone know any/ how to find any well priced (low) hostels/ living places there? :D (sorry if this is not what I am suppoesed to ask lol :D)

Hi there, I bought a global plus pass 3 months ago and I am using it now. I’m not very good booking seat reservations, but LNER  have been great and have helped me. I just booked seat selection via the Italy website, but I wanted to use one of my credits, i have two left. I used one for the Eurostar, but I can’t remember how i did it. Can someone please help me, explain how to use my credit, i ended up paying 65 Euro for seat selection and I want to use up my two credits left. I hope this makes sense. I only have my mobile phone now, last time (for the Eurostar) I think I used a computer to book. thanks

Apologies if you are reading this twice.  I wrote this at the end of an earlier posting and then noticed that it was headed up with ‘solved’ and so thought it may not be read.I previously sought advice on this forum about using Eurostar vouchers (for a delayed departure) to part pay for reservations on the London to Paris train.  I received some good advice.Unfortunately i called just now and was told that vouchers could not (no longer?) be used for Interrail passholder reservations.   Peter

I asked the following question of AI.  However I thought it would be wise to get some human input before proceeding!Basically my wife and I traveled from Lille to St Pancras in January on Eurostar and were subject to a   delay which meant we were able to claim e-vouchers by way of compensation.   I shall shortly be purchasing Interrail passes for the two of us for travel in September, with the first leg being on Eurostar from London to Paris.  So my question is - can I use our e-vouchers to part pay for our seat reservations?The answer I got back from AI was - yes.  However this could only be done through Eurostar itself and over the phone.   It also advised that normally there would be a £12 booking fee.  However since there was no other way of making this booking that I should request that this booking fee be waived.   Would you agree with this?  Anything else that you think I should take into account before moving forward on this? Thanks in anticipation.Peter

Hello everyone !  I’m really hoping on someone that one day had the same problem I’m havingWe are in the 21th century, so I thought that the email form of the pass would be the easiest. But…. My phone (iPhone SE 2016) is not compatible with the new version of the app.  therefore I am just in the middle of nothing because in the end I don’t have any passes to present to the train people that control the tickets… What can I do ?? thanks a lot It’ll sincerely help me :)

Bonjour,J’ai pourtant lu différentes sources sur le sujet et je ne suis toujours pas sûre d’avoir bien bien compris?Est ce bien au moment de l’activation du pass que les billets sont édités et donc disponibles et que c’est seulement à ce moment là que l’on choisit nos jours de voyage?Comme il est conseillé de ne pas activer le pass trop tôt, ne prends t’on pas le risque, pour les trajets sans réservation, de ne pas avoir de disponibilités.Merci de votre retourPatricia

I bought an Interrail pass for Spain. From what I understand, some train tickets are included in the pass, while others require an additional purchase. How do I reserve seats? Do I need to go to the station the day before, for example? Or should I buy tickets on the Spanish railway company’s website or app? Do all trips require a supplement? Or are there some trips where seat reservations aren’t necessary? Thanks for all your advice—I’m a little bit confused.

Is Eurail pass good between paris and london 

My current country of residence is Germany, and I am travelling to Switzerland.I read about 1 outbound and 1 inbound travel day, to leave and return to your country of residence using the Pass.I wanted to ask whether it is applicable for a single country pass or only a global pass? 

Hi all. I'm going from Interlaken West to Roma Termini on August 2nd this summer. Whenever I look at possible trips for this route, there's an issue from Milano Centrale to Roma Termini. On this date, there seem to be no high-speed Frecciarossa trains at all. Whenever I look at dates from July and before, they run multiple times per hour. Does someone know if there's a reason for this? I'd prefer for it to not take 10 hours to get from Milan to Rome :)

Hi there!I discover interrail concept recently and I love it! I plan to go to Göteborg (Gothemburg) from Paris, and from there take a flight for Paris at the end of my trip. I’ll probably be solo traveling the entire journey as a girl, between the last week of July and the first of August and I plan to stay at hostels to cut prices.I used the Trip Planner of Interrail and I was thinking about this travel itinerary (but let me know what you think) :Paris → Odense (connections in Köln/Koeln and Hambourg) (I don’t wish to stop too long by those cities nor Brussels because I’ve already been there for few days); Odense → Copenhagen  Copenhagen → Malmö Malmö → GöteborgI don’t absolutely want to visit Götenborg but the flights are cheaper with this departure. Hi,I am trying to connect a trip to My Pass for Day 2.When doing so, I am exclusively linked to my trip for Day1, which is still shown as active (circle left of the trip name is blue). The planned trip for Day2 does not show up. The trip for Day1 could not be completed as planned, because my train to Strasbourg  was cancelled and I had to go through Paris instead.I presume, that the still active trip for Day1 is the cause of my problem. When I want to delete the trip for Day1 under My Trips, I get the message “cannot be canceled (kann nicht storniert werden)”What can I do? Since my data are “in the system” I may have the same problem, when buying a new Pass.Thank you      

Hi everyone! In August last year, I bought an interrail pass to go to Sweden. Due to personal reasons, I couldn’t travel in the end so I haven’t used the interrail pass. On my interrail app, the pass appears as “associated with a trip - august 2025” but I haven’t activated it yet. This pass is still working until June 2026 so I would like to use it in April. Do you know if and how I can associate my pass with a new trip to make sure I can use it? I don’t want to click on “activate the pass” but then don’t know how to change the trip and be sure I can use it in April. Thank you so much for your help! Best, Julie
