Questions on manual adding, train companies and tickets

Hi! I am new to using the train network in Europe and had a couple questions~I have bought some seat reservations from Vienna → Hallstatt through OBB and realised the same trip doesn’t show on the Eurrail app. I know I should add it manually, but when I do, should I add the two legs of the journey separately, or just the overall journey? Knowing that there are slightly different journeys on country websites like OBB vs Eurrail app, which one should I trust? Should I be constantly checking if the same train I booked on OBB still exists? I don’t want to be missing a train just because the times from my ticket I bought a month ago don’t line up with the real times.  I’m a bit confused about the ticket system. I have seat reservations, so do I have to print out the tickets from the confirmation email to board? And ontop of this, do I also have to activate the journey on my Eurrail app?I have bought the 4 days in a month Eurrail pass. The trip is still a month away, but I just wanted to cle

Confusion on Bernina Express Reservation, from chur to tirano?

Dear fellow travelers,As a student from Stuttgart, I'm excited to be embarking on my first backpacking adventure using a Eurail Pass. However, I could use some help with a bit of confusion about the reservation process for the Bernina Express.I've added Chur to Tirano on my pass, and the Eurail website shows that I'm ready to board and can buy a seat reservation if I like, but it's not required. On the other hand, the Bernina Express website states that a seat reservation and public transport ticket are necessary for a fee, which can be purchased up to two months before the travel date. The tickets are not linked to the seat reservation and can be used independently.Now, here's where it gets tricky. Reservations for the day are completely booked, and I'm not sure whether to try and book a reservation or enjoy the journey without one. I've attached pictures of the Eurail and Bernina Express websites for your reference.As seasoned travelers, I'm hoping you can share your experiences and

Hallo ZusammenFür dieses Jahr ist meine Interrailreise vorbei. Die nächste Interrail-Reise 2025 ist ihm Planung, aber ich habe mich noch nicht entschieden, aber folgende Städte möchte ich mit dem Interrail besuchen:Stockholm-Kopenhagen-Hamburg Budapest-Bratislava-PragWie ist es so mit dem Nachtzug ich gesehen habe es gibt 2 Nachtverbindungen 22.03/23.57 nach Stockholm welche würdet ihr empfehlen und wie sind die Preise Sitzplatzwagen, Liegewagen… was sind eure Erfahrungen… Lohnt sich eher 1./2. Klasse ….Bei Stockholm Kopenhagen Hamburg möchte ich gerne vermeiden, im Herbst Winter zu gehen, da es Schnee hat und kalt ist. Ich habe von vielen gehört mitte Mai Juni soll es recht warm sein was ideal wäre für mich frage ich oder eure Erfahrungen was daher die beste Reisezeit ist?Ich würde 5 Tage in Stockholm, 5 Tage Kopenhagen und 4 Tage Hamburg planen. In Stockholm kann man noch die Insel Djugarden besuchen was gibts sonst noch für Empfehlungen von Kopenhagen Hamburg ich möchte viele Sehens

extra eurostar seat reservation

Hey guys. I bought eurostar seat reservation for journey on Amsterdam - paris on 19 Dec 8am and paris- Amsterdam on 22 Dec at 7pm. I have changed my travelling plan and no longer need the seat reservation  if you are interested, let me know. This is for first class seats so you need first class eurail pass to use these seat reservation. Email  me if you are interested.

INTERRAIL FOR MY SON

Good morning, we hope you are doing well, i am goint to buy this pass for my 17 years old son.He will take one of 7 pass days. but he will stay in total 15 days in several destinations. Ámsterdam 28jun -1 julioBerlin Praga 03julioPrague 3 al 6 julioBudapest 6-9 julio Split 10-14 julio16 julio SPLIT HENDAIA My question is if this plan will be enought to stay all the days, perhaps, if he takes a train from hendaia to Amsterdam and here there are 3 conections with other trains, is it account like 1pass for each train he will take? total 3 pass?? please advice to me about it

réservation couchettes pour une famille Train de nuit InterCity Notte Milan-Sicile

Bonjour,Ce sera notre première utilisation d’un pass interail et d’un train de nuit.Nous souhaitons aller de Milan (après une journée de trains déjà depuis Bruxelles), vers la Sicile (on doit encore voir si on va jusqu’à Syracus, Palerme ou Messine).La date étant fin avril, la réservation n’est pas encore possible sur Trenitalia, mais est-ce qu’il faut réserver les couchettes via interrail (43 €/couchette), ou peut-on le faire via Trenitalia justement pour moins cher ?Nous sommes 2 adultes et 3 enfants, dont la plus jeune à 4 ans, du coup on prévoit de voyager dans une cabine de 4. Peut-on réserver pour 4 couchettes uniquement ?Merci pour vos retours,Joachim

Netherlands travel

Hi there, I’m weighting up options as to whether we using an interrail pass versus single tickets for travel next year (departing from the UK).Are there any day tickets available for train travel in the Netherlands (we’ll be based north of Amsterdam and will want to visit Amsterdam, Delft, Harleem and the Hague, perhaps one other place by train also, plus travelling by bike, bus and ferry!)?2 adults and 2 teens ages 13 and 15.Many thanks.

Difficulty in booking Euronight Train

I’ve been trying to book 21 Dec EN40459 Canopus overnight train from Zurich to Prague (4 people) since months ago.  Tried DB, CZ, SBB and OBB railways’ websites.  At first, no timetable available, then Seat Reservation was not allowed.  I then recently realized Seat Reservation for overnight train is now possible until I read somebody’s conversation in this community.  So I tried to buy tickets with Eurail Pass discount in OBB.  Eurail Pass discount is not aavailable at DB, CZ or SBB railways.   After I paid with credit card at OBB, the system said my selected compartment are not available.  However, when I retry, there are no other compartments’ choice available but kept showing me the compartments I could not buy.  I then wrote to CZ railway, and got a reply that there were only few places in 5-berth compartment but I need to buy at the stations international ticket counters.  Oh gee, I won’t arrive Europe until 17 Dec.Please may I have advice on ways to book/buy tickets asap?

train vienna to krakow only with reservation?

Strange, when I go with the train with panoramic coach from Vienna to Krakow, rail planner app says I do need a reservation for 8€ (but not where to buy). But when I go from Krakow to Vienna with the same train, a reservation is only optional.  is this a mistake? What happens if I board this train in Vienna without a reservation?

I have purchased my husband's Eurail Pass, but I am still waiting for my own Complimentary Companion Pass.As I am wanting to reserve some very popular routes/times, I am wondering if I can purchase his on his pass and book my own journey (without a pass number) while I am waiting for it to arrive.I dont want to miss out on the reservations. Home country

Hello. I live in a small village in France close to the border with Switzerland. My village has no train station. My primary train station is Geneva. I want to buy an Interrail Global Pass for a trip to the UK, going from Geneva via Paris to London. So while my resident country is France, my in- and outbound trips are to and from Geneva, Switzerland. And to get to the UK I travel from Switzerland to France on my way to and from the UK. Can someone assure me that this is not a problem, or, if it is, since my home country where I live is not my home travel base, what do you recommend me to do? Thanks

Flexi-pass validity

Hi,I bought the flexible-pass 4 days within a months for me and my girlfriend. And I have a question about validity of the pass. Could you clarify if the "month" refers to: 1. A period of approximately 30 days starting from the first day the pass is used (meaning I can use the 4 travel days within the following 30 days after activation).2. A specific calendar month, where I can only use the 4 travel days within that same month.For example, if I start using the pass on December 20, does that mean I can only use the remaining travel days within December, or does it count as a 30-day period starting from December 20 (in this example until January 20)? I’d greatly appreciate it if someone could clarify how this works. Print List of All Trains in my Eurail Account

I’ll be in Europe for 3 months, and have pretty much lined up the trains I’ll be using in France and Italy.  They show up in my Rail Planner. My QUESTION is: Can I obtain a printable list in the order of all the trains (including transfers) that I plan to take?  Thanks. Italian Regionale Veloce trains in the Rail Planner

Hi,I'm traveling to Italy soon and i can't seem to find a few trains in the Rail Planner app. I've read that Trenitalia TPER doesn't share the timetables for their trains, how do one find out if it is one? Finding this out right after timetable change can also be difficult, as one doesn't have any data to compare times with.So, why aren't some trains showing up in the Rail Planner app?

3 weeks honeymoon in June 2025

Just bought x 2 global passes for the honeymoon next year, the 10 days within 2 months passes. Will be traveling from Doncaster in the UK to London for the Eurostar to Paris for 2 nights as doing Versailles.  Then we are off to Italy to spend the remaining 18 nights or so down and then up the boot. Would like to possibly get across to Sardinia and Sicily (depending on cost of ferry etc) Any hints and tips and recommendations to go in Italy would be recommended. We are in our late 40s not clubbing folk, do like a nice lively bar though and love to walk and see 'stuff' also love the countryside as much as a city.  I'm guessing I won't be able to book rail now for June next year, from your experience everyone, when do routes become available please? And thank you in advance.  Bazza.
