Hello,I bought a "4-day in 1 month" Interrail pass in 1st class for me and my girlfriend (for a trip in Austria). It is not activated for the moment.The 1st reservation I would like to do is a "sleeper coach" for us in an ÖBB night train (for the return journey from Vienna to Zurich (for the night of December 23rd to 24th) and I would like some help about this issue if somebody already faced it:When I check availability on this train via the Interrail.eu website, it indicates that "pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection". (see screenshot below) However, when I try to do the reservation via the ÖBB website (with choice of “Interrail discount”) there is availability : I can book a sleeper coach for 188 euros for 2 people. See screenshot below :  Note: I think it's normal for the price to be so high for a simple reservation. Indeed, the price of such a berth on this route is around 400 euros.I used the procedure described on the Interrail website on screenshot below

I am trying to book a ticket back to Barcelona from Dusseldorf on December 26th. However, there are no trains from Dusseldorf to Paris available. How can I find available seats or an alternate route?

Good evening,Next Friday, 19th of december, I will take nightjet 420 (departure 20.46) from Innsbruck to Amsterdam.  I made a reservation via OEBB but I cannot find the train in the Rail Planner. In fact, I can not find this service on any day after december 14 at all. However, in the OEBB app and DB Navigator the train does exist. Is this because of the timetable change?Thank you :-)

Hi,We live in France, so using the pass can only leave and re-enter France one time. However we want to first visit London on the Eurostar for several days, then go to Brussels on the Eurostar. This London - Brussels train passes thru the north-east corner of France to get to Brussels, so does this constitute our re-entering France trip, even though we aren’t getting off in France? If so, do we then have to pay for the trip to return to France when we are finished travelling in the rest of Europe?Thanks for your help.

I’ve purchased an Interrail Monthly pass for my wife and I. She is German but a UK resident however, the pass says she is German resident. Does Interrail automatically mark you as a country’s resident just because of nationality? Or did I mistakenly mark her as German resident when I purchased. (The later seems unlikely but, I suppose, possible).

I would like to find out what benefits we have on the S-Bahn with a Eurail pass?according to ChatGPT it is free to use the S-Bahn in Zurich for day trips without activating a pass day. This is also given in a pdf that comes from the website directly. How does it work. Do we show our Eurail pass without a travel date booked. Hey,so I am planning an interrail route including the ferry from bari to patras and I want to go on the 13.1.2026. The issue is I can not select any date further than the 10.1. and I can not find a timetable anywhere only. Does anyone know when they update their timetable and when I can book the seats?Another question: Somewhere on the Interrail website it said the bus from Patras to the Athens port is included if you take the fery. Is this still up to date? I am grateful for any help :) 

@Camilo.I just learnt that the valid code for getting the Interrail/Eurail discount at Stena Line is EURAIL2023 On the benefit page the old and invalid code is shown. Can you please make sure that the benefit page is updated with the correct code ASAP?

Can one use the 6-day Greek island pass, which includes the possibility of a return trip from Italy to Greece (Ancona-Patras-Ancona), ‘in reverse’? In other words, imagine one is already on a Greek island and uses the first travel day to reach Piraeus, the second travel day for Patras-Ancona, the third travel day for Ancona-Patras, and the remaining days for travel within Greece. We want to travel within Austria,take a 2 day trip to Venice(we want to travel there overnight) and hopefully day trips to Prague and Budapest. We’re new to this. However, I have a Student Residency Permit here in Spain and reside here in the EU more than in the Philippines. • I hold a Philippine passport and a Philippine National ID which shows my home address in the Philippines.• But my Philippine passport only shows an expired Spanish Visa because I have only kept renewing my Student Residency Card in Spain. Will I encounter any problems since I have a Eurail Pass and not an Interrail?What's the best thing to do regarding my situation?

Hi, I live in Germany with a permanent residency but I am a non-EU citizen (of course with a valid non-EU passport). Can I choose to travel with Eurail pass instead of Interrail pass? I would really prefer to travel with Eurail pass as Germany’s central location and interrail pass’ inbound/outbound rule renders the interrail pass kinda useless if I want to say travel a few days to France and some days on the other side of Germany, to say Austria (unless I take some complicated route that doesn’t include journey’s in Germany). The language on eurail website creates a bit of a grey area (as it’s mentioned there that non-EU citizens who reside in the EU can ‘choose’ to buy an interrail pass). If I buy an eurail pass by providing the details of my non-EU passport, would it be fine or would I get into trouble? Has anybody been fined for such cases?  To be really honest, this inbound/outbound rule is very very inconvenient and frustrating, especially for people like me who live in central eu

I want to travel from Amsterdam to Munich using the Interrail Global Pass. I have 4 travel days in one month. I found a direct train on Deutsche Bahn (ICE 225), however, when I search this train in the Interrail planner I cannot find it. The part of the trip from the first border station in Germany (Oberhausen Hbf) to Munich is available in the app. I am a first time user of the interrail system, so maybe I misunderstand the system.The planner does show other (less favourable) options to travel the same day from Amsterdam to Munich. P.S. I have the same issue for the travels back from Munich to Amsterdam.

Hi,I have seat reservations with DB from Köln Hbf, 23.12.2025 08:49 to Utrecht Centraal, 23.12.2025 10:59. The train is ICE 220.When I search in the Eurail app this train journey does not show up. It does not let me select Köln Hbf as an option for the outgoing train station.When I try to add the trip manually, the dates and times seem to be getting messed up and it shows the journey as 26+ hours. I do not want to add this trip as I am worried that it will use 2 days of the Eurail pass instead of the 1 day as the journey is around 2 hours.Can someone please advise what would be the best option to do here?

Hello,I’m hoping to travel from London to Bologna (Italy) in autumn 2026.  I see there’s a 25% off sale on Interrail passes, but I don’t know if it would actually be cheaper to buy individual tickets.  Because the individual tickets for next autumn aren’t on sale yet, I can’t compare prices.I would be using only high-speed services (Eurostar, TGV, and Frecciarossa) and each of them has a reservation fee for each leg.  For Eurostar it will be 70 euros for the return trip, and I think the other two train companies might have a lower fee, but I can already see that the reservation will cost over 100 euros for the return trip.  I’m probably going via France, but I’m also considering going via Switzerland.I was going to do the journey this way:  Day 1:  London to Paris (Eurostar) then Paris to Chambéry (TGV).  Overnight stay in Chambéry.  Day 2:  Chambéry to Bologna (TGV and Frecciarossa).  I have insomnia so would prefer to stay overnight in an Airbnb rather than taking a sleeper train.  I

Can I use my Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Fontainebleau?

I have ordered a Eurail Global Pass for 2 months/15 days flexi use. I am getting a printed version of the pass (not mobile), because I often tend to lose or break my phone while on trips. I prefer to keep the physical passes with me, not use the app.  My main question is, do I have to wait until I receive the passes in the mail to book seat reservations on trains? Is it true that to book seats using a Eurail Pass, we must input the Eurail Pass number somewhere in the seat reservation? What is the best website to book seat reservations using an Eurail Pass?Your answers, much appreciated.

HiI am planning a surprise trip for my wife. I want to get from Bern to Bologne. The planner says this will take 5+hours and takes us via zurich.i beleive there is a high speed train that is direct. Is this correct please? if so does the interail pass allow this and how do i get the planner to reflect this please? Thanks 

Hello - my first post here …..  I live in France and am thinking of buying the Senior 4-Day Global Pass under the current 25% discount.I will use it to travel as follows :One day will be : Paris to London and then London to ManchesterThen the return, also in one day : Manchester to London and London to ParisMy question is - can I do this or not? I will be on 2 trains in the UK twice on the same day - Lon/Mancs/Lon … but also the UK leg of the Eurostar each day ….I’m looking for a flexible ticket , that I can activate when needed anytime over the next year - this to be able to visit my elderly brother and spend a few days or up to a month with him as needed. The Interrail Global Pass seems to offer what I need - plus much more flexibility and a pleasanter journey than flying and a much better price.Thank you in advance for your adviceJulie
