Dear InterRail,I have an InterRail paper pass, and I added a trip on interrail.com with that pass and the correct pass cover number.I want to book a night train from Paris-Austerlitz to Tarbes.I selected the trip with the corresponding pass.When I want to book via https://interrail.com/, it just says “One or more Passes don't cover this journey. Select the travellers with valid Passes for this journey to book seats.”I double checked, I have selected myself and the correct trip. The pass is a global pass, and the booking I want to make is in the middle of the passes validity.Places on the train are available since I can book via https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass or https://raileurope.com/.SAME for the earlier day train (TGV). Seems to be a general issue.What is going on here?Dear InterRail team, can you please look into it behind the scenes?Regards!

Hi all. I'm worried about sometimes only having 5 minutes between interchange trains. If a bought a ticket from Zermatt to Interlaken but for example the train interchange for Visp to Spiez is only 5 minutes do I ignore that and just get on next train.? How does this work with reserved seats and luggage?. Sue 🤗

I am trying to book a seat for the Frecciarossa train Paris-Milan with the method I used successfully for other trains, but this tells me something like “No prices found. Passholders may be sold out on this route, but there are other ways to check availability. You can find more information below our timetable.” On the Trenitalia site there seem to be seats. Anyway I cannot book the seats from here. There are other methods to book the seats?

She has booked some seats for the both of us, but i am unable to see them on my profile. Is it still ok even if the seats arent connected to me? My phone needed factory reset and now I cannot access my pass but it's the same phone! Eurrail says my pass is on other phone!? Please help as I am on the train!

Hallo!Ich habe eine Frage zur Inbound-Fahrt.Krankheitsbedingt musste ich meine Fahrt unterbrechen und bin am Bodensee auf der deutschen Seite in Ärtzlicher Behandlung.  Morgen möchte ich von Friedrichshafen nach Kiel an meinen Heimatort fahren.Die Outboundfahrt habe ich bereits genutzt.Meine Frage: Darf ich die noch nicht aktivierte Inboundfahrt für meine Heimfahrt mit Startbahnhof in Deutschland nutzen? Oder muss ich extra dafür nochmal nach Österreich oder in die Schweiz rüberfahren um die Fahrt zu aktivieren?  Ich nutze die App-Variante. Danke!

Do NOT buy a promo pass, Interrail is not honest about the refund policies.I bought an interrail pass in the promo period in September, and it was only in the payment confirmation (e.g. after purchase) that it said that no refund was possible for this particular promo period. In the general refund policy it says that promo passes can generally be refunded.

We are planning to be travelling on Sunday 13 September from Ljubljana to Munich.The man in seat 61 states reservations are optional; another site stated reservations are advisable on a Sunday because trains are busy.My questions are:1. Would the community agree with this, or is it worth risking it?2. The reservation would appear, from the OBB website, to be Villach to Munich; is Ljubljana to Villach not reservable?3. Is 6 minutes sufficient for transfer at Villach?

Hello!i have a Mongolian passport with Austrian residency permit, i currently live in Austria. Can i choose to go with Eurail instead of Interrail? On the site it says: “If you are not a European citizen, but you are an official resident of Europe, you can also use an Interrail Pass.” so i think i can choose between them right? But there are a lot of people who said you can’t choose so I am a bit confused. 

Hello, absolute Eurail beginner here. We’re from New Zealand and landing in Munich in January 2027. Hoping to spend 7-10 days seeing Germany by scenic train, Black Forest and up to Berlin, then Amsterdam and over to London, before several weeks in UK & Ireland, with train travel. We like making plans last minute, so don’t want too many locked-in bookings. What’s the best way to travel by train with last minute flexibility - a global pass, some other pass or point-to-point tickets purchased in-country? Advice appreciated.

How to determine the start date of a global pass?

Hi there. I am a newbie to Interrailing but hoping someone can help. I have a 2nd class Interrail pass for my family and I to travel around Spain this summer. We are wanting to take the sleeper train from Paris down to Barcelona. I am keen to upgrade from a 2nd class to a 1st class sleeper as we are 4 - and with young kids I don’t want to share a cabin with 2 strangers and I’m sure nobody wants to share with us either! Is there a way to upgrade just 1 journey for the sleeper train. I’m happy to pay the extra - I just don’t know if it is even possible with the Interrail pass. Thanks!

Hi all !  We are taking a night train from Zurich to Amsterdam, the seat reservation is optional but we want to reserve it anyways. Though, when we try to, it’s says we need to send paper tickets by post, but we are moving a lot and cannot receive them. Do you know how we can just receive electronic tickets ?  Thanks !

L’anno scorso ho vinto il pass interrail con DiscoverEU.Nel vecchio telefono avevo fatto l’accesso all’app discoverEU e RailPlanner. Avevo anche scelto il pass flex e scelto la data di partenza.Ora sul nuovo telefono sono riuscito a fare l’accesso ma il pass non è automativamente inserito. Se provo a cliccare Add a Pass non so che numero mettere. So che deve avere 6 cifre ma non capisco come recuperarlo.

I have this big doubt regarding a seat reservation, precisely from milano centrale to basel sbb, at the beginning of september: usually people suggest to book on Oebb app, but it says it's not available.I never booked a seat reservation on the official interrail website, because of the extra commissions, but it seems the only solution (beside Happyrail, which I've just discovered and I don't know if it's legit).My concern is not really about the fees: the interrail website requires a pass number, and mine is purchased but not activated yet (i wanted to activate it the day before the departure).So my two questions are:1) If i purchase the seat reservation on official interrail website, logging in with my profile (the same I purchased the pass), will it mean it will activate my pass, already? 2) is happyrail a safe website to book seat reservations? Does it require pass number as well? Thanks to the folks who can help me 💛

J'ai travaillé cet été afin de pouvoir financer ce pass et je travaille également en août pour pouvoir rembourser les frais liés à ce voyage. J'ai déjà payé l'ensemble de mes logements et engagé une grande partie de mon budget dans ce projet.Aujourd'hui, je rencontre un problème qui m'empêche de finaliser mes réservations. Pour plusieurs trajets, l'application Interrail m'indique que les billets doivent être envoyés en version papier, mais aucune adresse de livraison n'est acceptée car le délai avant mon départ est considéré comme trop court.Je souhaiterais donc obtenir des réponses précises aux questions suivantes :Pourquoi est-il impossible de finaliser le paiement de certaines réservations alors que mon Pass Interrail a déjà été acheté et payé ? Hi there,I have the issue that I can't load my ticket with the QR code in the rail planner app.When I click on “show ticket”, it would just load forever, saying  “Loading your ticket. If this is taking a while… “. It never worked in the past, and this is my first travel day. There is no error or anything.I'm trying for 4 hours straight now,  I've let it load for 30 minutes, restarted the app a lot, restartet the phone, trying with LTE and wifi, let the app load after opening it and before proceeding.  I'm out of ideas and I'm currently traveling so I'm pretty afraid of a hefty fine as I currently don't have a ticket at all.Any help in timely manner would be super great!YoursJulleVersion 23.2.0Huawei P20 Pro
