Hi there, we are flying into London at 6am on the 25th of March and I want to catch a train to Edinburgh. I want to book them now - but I don’t know when I’ll be at kings cross to leave. Would you buy the 9:03 or 9:30am train? Plus how do I book the tickets (seat reservations) I can’t book on eurail- it won’t let me. What do I do?

Do you know if there will be night trains between Narvik and Stockholm between June 20th and July 18th? Currently, when I check the sj.se website, there are no available trips for those dates. I haven't been able to find any information about planned track work or if tickets might go on sale later.  If you have any further information, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much !

I’m planning a trip  from my homecountry Germany to Norway. I plan to travel by train  to Kiel and then take the ferry to Oslo. So I won’t be leaving my country by train. Does that count as an outbound journey? If it does, what ís an outbound journey exactly?

I recently received an email from Eurail about a “security incident involving personal data,” and I wanted to check if others got the same message and whether it’s actually legitimate.The email looks quite official (correct branding and sender address), but it starts with a generic “Dear Customer” and mentions a security issue without many details, which made me a bit suspicious.

I want to take an RJ train from Trento at 9:59 to Munich. On the German Rail Pass brochure it's written that from Italy to Germany it covers only EC trains. But the RJ and the EC have the same stops and take the same time, the only difference is that the first EC is at 13:59, which is too late for me. Can I use the German Rail Pass for the RJ as well?

Hi, I planned to travel from Venice (S. Lucia) to Florence on April 11th, 2026. I bought the Eurail Global Pass, but was unable to select seats for the high speed direct train: I did some research, and apparently there is rail maintenance on 4/11:https://www.reddit.com/r/ItalyTravel/comments/1qdtlff/possible_train_strike_in_april/https://www.reddit.com/r/ItalyTravel/comments/1q8ja7c/is_there_anything_happening_on_11th_april/ If my travel date is already set in stone (booked tickets, hotels, etc...), is my only option to book the slower train where I have to do 2 transfers?At least it’s still covered under the Eurail Global Pass. There’s no way this maintenance date will change, right? Thanks! 

Hello everyone, Travelling with my niece from Australia in June. We are going from Salzburg to Amsterdam (yes a long day).We both have 1st class global Eurail passes.  The trip is-  Salzburg (EC212) → Munich (ICE 918)→ Dusseldorf  (ICE124)→ Amsterdam . The Eurail seat reservation page suggests  seat reservations optional on first two stages but recommended  from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam. RailEurope suggests no reservations needed. With first class passes, should we get reservations on any or all stages of the trip or will Thursdays (19th June) be fine to just arrive and find a seat?Many thanksJon

Well, i'm finding outWell, I'm finding the information about the Plus Pass and seat reservations quite confusing. In the product description, they state that only reservations for beds or bunk beds on overnight stays are excluded, so I tried to reserve seats with the Golden Pass, but I couldn't find an option for free access using the Plus Pass.I am traveling with my elderly parents and a child. I cannot risk traveling standing up. Does the Plus Pass grant seat reservations on Golden Pass trains? And if so, where and how do I make this reservation?

I am planning two travel austria and czech this time. It’s just for three days. Can I use two one-county passes of austria and czech? My route is Vienna-prague-Vienna. Stay two nights in prague. Please recommend sites and hot places in prague.  

How do I get a seat when it says not needed but I want to confirm section

Hi! I’ve just done my seat reservation for the train home from Paris to London. On the email I got it said to go onto the Eurostar website to get the actual reservation with my booking reference and last name. The issue I have is that I wasn’t given a booking reference. Does anyone know where I’d be able to find this or do I need to contact Interrail as the booking was made through them?  Thank you for any help! 

Hi, I need a cover number so I can make train reservations. Can it start by IN and be followed by 8 digit numbers ? That’s what I received in a mail from interrail just after I paid for my interrail. But ot doesnt satisfy Deutsche Bahn...

I want to travel from Bari to Igoumenitsa by Superfast Ferries then on to Corfu. I understand that First Class Global pass holders are entitled to travel in aircraft type seats and don't have to pay the passenger fare, but you need to add a travel day. (I understand that various surcharges and taxes still apply). If I want to book a cabin for two people, do I gain any benefit from using my Global Pass (bearing in mind I would have to lose a travel day)?

We’re planning a trip from UK by interrail thru Amsterdam - Copenhagen - Stockholm - Narvik - Oslo - Bruges then home. Trying to use the planner and it comes unstuck with the Norway section. The Night train from Stockholm to Narvik, the planner insists that it will take 42 hrs via Boden. It won’t. There’s a direct night train for around 20hrs.  How can I bypass this in the planner?Also there’s no direct train between Narvik and Oslo, so we were thinking of flying to Trondheim then train to Oslo. How can I include a gap like this in the planner?Is it possible to plan more than one trip in the planner at the same time without finalising either?

I am planning a trip in early September.The plan is to travel from the UK to Brussels via Eurostar, then take a night train.I was receiving emails fron European Sleeper earlier in the year advising of special deals in March.  Does anyone know from previous experience whether there is likely to be a sale for Travel in September, once the high season is winding down, or if I should play safe and book with my interrail pass now?Also is night jet or the European Sleeper better,.or just the same, experience -wise?  We will most likely go for a couchette in  a 4 or 6 women only scenario.Our final destination will he Budapest for a few days, so there will be a stopover somewhere.  Recommendations of such a stopover place that will be pleasant for a single night, reasonable accommodation at a good price;  not bothered about luxurious but dormitories and shared bathrooms are ,not on the list.

Good afternoon Eurrail hive mind. We have now booked our First Class Eurail passes (BEFORE the 15% sale, boo!) and we have the following itinerary in mind. The route doubles back a bit unfortunately but this is because my friend in Munich is only available on certain times. Our start and end point is Schiphol on 24 June and 16 July. I would appreciate answers to two questions:Which of these trips do I need to reserve? Where would be a good place to stop on the longer trips?Our itinerary is as follows:Thurs 25 June:  overnight sleeper AMS-ZUR (=4 x couchettes already reserved and paid for) Monday 29 June:  Zurich-Modena:  does this need a reservation? And which is the best route? Friday 03 July:  Modena-Munich:  does this need a reservation? Does having a Eurail Pass mean I don't need to book tickets on the Avanti West Coast website? Can I just go to the station to reserve a seat and then take the train to my destination?The Eurail website is confusing me; I can't book seats on the Avanti West Coast.  Hi all,This summer, my girlfriend and I are planning an Interrail trip through Scandinavia.We would like to travel from Oslo to Jotunheimen National Park, where we’re planning to spend five days hiking. We’re hoping to either camp or stay in DNT cabins each night.I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to get there. Ideally, we would start our hike somewhere within the park, such as Leirvassbu or Fondsbu. Our plan is to finish the multi-day hike at Gjendesheim, and then get the bus from there to Kvam or Otta. We would stay the night in Kvam/Otta and then take the train to Copenhagen.I know there are several buses that run from Oslo to Jotunheimen, and I’ve also read that there are local buses within the park that connect different locations. I’ve looked at the Valdresekspressen website, but I’m struggling to find or book any scheduled buses.I understand that bookings in Norway may only be released around 90 days in advance, so that might be the issue.Any help would be much app

I am trying to make a seat reservation for a train from Edinburgh to London using my Eurail Global pass. However, it gives me an error message that I am not able to make this seat reservation on the Eurail site and I need to either do this at a station or direct on the ACP Rail site. When I access site I then get a notice re the following, has anyone else experienced this issue? NoticeCurrently our site is only offering seat reservations for Passholders on UK trains.Sorry for the inconvenience. More services will be added soon.Buying a Seat Reservation in the UK does not always assure an assigned seat. Instead, it will guarantee an available seat on the train.

Going from Prague to Berlin, and need to take 3 trains, booked tickets for the first and third trains, but the second one said no ticket, “open seating”. However, I looked today 13MAR for the train on 18MAR and they replaced the second train with a replacement bus. Do I need to book tickets for that replacement bus or what do I need to do?

I got the confirmation that a 6-digit verification code will be sent to my email adress. However I do not receive that code. I checked also Spam of course. Can someone help ?Thanks Uwe
