Gostaria de saber se o Eurail Pass cobre o trajeto entre Spiez e Zermatt obrigada 

Hello community! I’m from Chile and this is going to be my first time in Europe, just a few days, but I was wondering if it’s possible to go by this train system from Milan to Switzerland passing through  the wonderful  Swiss Alps. I’m very interested in seeing the beautiful villages, Landwasser Viaduct among other incredible places. I’m traveling last week of March, maybe I have a litlle time to go to Paris or even London, but I also don’t know if going by train is the best alternative.I hope someone could help me, I’m a bit confused. ¡Saludos desde Santiago!

Hi there, I'm planning for a trip from Frankfurt > Munich > Paris > Lucern > Interlaken > Zermatt > Milan. Will be taking the local trains around in Switzerland for travelling to the tourist spots like Pilatus, Titlis, Grindelwald, Rhein falls etc etc. Kinda confused with do I need to use a Pass Day when travelling in around Switzerland? If yes, do I need a reservation for the trains? And when they say that the local trains are covered by Eurail Global Pass, does it mean that I can board a local train without even when I'm not planning to use it as a Pass Day? Would also like to take the scenic train from Zermatt to Milan if that's possible. Thank you so much in advance! 

Hi,  I am trying to book seats on ICE train from Strasbourg to Paris. I believe the trains starts in Frankfurt. When i try to book seats from Strasbourg to Paris it say "seat booking is impossible at this time". The dates are less than 90 days away. When i try and book it fro  Frankfurt to Paris, its letting me book it. Should i book that and just board from Strasbourg? Many thanks.

Hi all,Before buying a card, I’d like to be sure that it will be interesting for me. I understand that I have to pay for reservation and cabin in night train, so is it really interesting? I don’t know how can I calculate what I have to add ?I would like to travel from Paris to Turku (Finland). It seems the quicker way is to go to Koeln and Hamburg in a day and take the night train to Stockholm (with a cabin booking). Then, I’ll take ferry by night from Stockholm to Turku. Is it included ?I never used interrail and I don’t understand everything.Thanks in advance for your reply.Nb : I have 50 years old and can’t take train. I want to go to Turku as quick as possible and with a night in a cabin on night train.  

I am a resident of the Netherlands. I am planning to get an Interrail pass for 2 months this spring. But that pass comes with just 2 outbound/inbound journeys. However, I want to make multiple trips.The question is: does a journey starting on a border station (the last station before the border) count as an inbound/outbound journey? For example: does taking the train from Breda to Brussels or from Arnhem to Frankfurt count as an outbound journey? According to this example posted on the Interrail website, a journey from Brussels to London St.Pancras does not count as inbound, but the journey from London St.Pancras to Brighton does count. So consistently, a journey from Frankfurt to Arnhem (the first stop in the Netherlands of the ICE) should not count as inbound right? 

I accidently bought an Interrail pass instead of a Eurorail pass. I am not a European citizen and therefore should have the Eurorail pass.I did not notice and I already traveled 2/4 days in Europe using this pass.  Now I am trying to travel and I see that the trips I planned are not possible because of an inbound/outbound rule.  May I switch my pass to the correct pass for Eurorail for the remaining two days? I have used Eurorail before, and purchasing the Interrail was a genuine error.  I should not be able to even purchase this pass as a US citizen. I used my US passport numbers when purchasing the pass.   I travel in 2 days and I contacted the chat using the support but only received automated response answers. What do I do? I need to be able to complete this route. 

Hi there, I am wondering how I would go about interraling in europe (plan to go from london to athens with multiple stops along the way) with a family member who is from australia. Would he need to book using eurail and I (english) with interrail? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi allWe are traveling by train from Switzerland to Italy between 26 Feb to 8 Mar 24 and following the route Zurich to Milan to Venice to Florence to Rome. We have an option to stay 3 nights in Milan and 2 nights in Florence or vice versa. I am after your suggestion if Milan where we should spend 3 nights or should we spend 3 nights in Florence which will leave 2 nights for Milan. Our interests of seeing Italy are from both an ancient historical side as well as a 21st century modern Italian life, say roughly 50% 50%

Booked on Eurostar from London to Rotterdam in January. Have the paper reservations but not activated my pass on the app. As my end destination is Berlin I've noticed that I would get there earlier if I got off the Eurostar in Brussels rather than going on to Rotterdam. If I did this would it cause an issue upon my arrival in Brussels? Thanks

I can't see this particularly query answered. We've got a 22day pass and will be travelling in June from the UK from Stockport to London Euston & then the Eurostar to Brussels. We can book the Eurostar now but not from home to London as those tickets / train times will not be known till March. Will there be any issue adding that uk journey later (same problem on the way home) or will i have used up my inbound / outbound trips? TIA

Are all trains between Interlaken-Grindlewald-Lauterbrunnen-Interlaken included in the pass? If i use the pass to travel between these stations would it count as 1 day of travel? I will be staying in Grindlewald and exploring surrounding areas only and not sure if i should use my pass or hire a car which is going to be around £500 including petrol+parking etc.thanks

Hello everyone, I’m new to Eurail and looking forward to my trip in march. I made a couple of reservation already but I’m having trouble with my most important one as I need to make it from Monaco to Barcelona and I can’t make the reservation. any help would be greatly appreciated. on the side note, for the train that don't require a reservation do i only show them my pass ? Hi,I bought several Interrail passes and I see only one Order Number in the e-mail (or here at eurail.com) and four Pass numbers. For booking Frecciarossa reservations at https://partners.italiarail.com I need the Order Number for each pass of each traveller, not just one.In the past I could find a link to a site on this website that did the conversion for each Pass number but I can’t find it any more.Does this still work like that?Note that this is horrible in terms of user friendliness, both on the side of Eurail (just provide it if anyone could ever ask it) and on the side of ItaliaRail. Hopefully there is a better way to get my Frecciarossa reservations, but I could not find any yet…TIA!--ReindeR ItaliaRail screenshot 

So here is the problem. I am planning to get an Interrail ticket for 2 months in a row. I want to make multiple trips starting from my home country, the Netherlands. The ticket only got 2 inbound/outbound journeys. So that is only for one trip. For the other trips I would have to get a train ticket to a first station across the border, I learned today. For me it is also an option to drive to a station close to the border in Belgium (or Germany), park my car there, to start a journey at that station. That is often cheaper than getting a ticket for the first station abroad. For example, I start my journey in Essen (Belgium). The first station in Belgium on the Roosendaal to Antwerp line. It is a 125 km return drive for me, so roughly 20 euro in costs with the car. With public transport it would be 35 euro return.This is the starting point of my journey in the Netherlands, by car or public transport. Hello everybody, i booked a night train from Hambourg to Stockholm on january 20th on the SJ website. While my booking is well confirmed on SJ, when I try to check out for the traffic info on this train line, i get the followint message: There are no departing trains from Hamburg on 2024-01-20. Please try another date. Even when i try other dates i get the same message. Does anyone know how to get traffic info on this please ? I also tried to check that out on DB but same :( Thanks !Rosa

Hi all, hoping this helpful community can help me again.I’m trying to book a seat reservation with ItaliaRail but it’s requiring a paper Passholder number and won’t (obviously) accept my mobile pass number.Is there anyway to get a Passholder number that will work?Thanks! Edit to add: I’m just seeing that all of TrenItalia’s booking is down for maintenance right now, and it’s possible the reason all reservations on Eurail’s site just disappeared, is because of this, in which case, I can use Eurail—but would prefer to not be in a bind, so if anyone knows if it’s possible to get a Paper Passholder Number, I’d appreciate it!

I can't make a reservation because the stations in Serbia and Montenegro are not listed, but can I make a reservation for a train by going to the station counter and showing my pass?

Hi Interrailers!My wife was given a 2-month global pass as a great retirement present, for herself and me. I’m still working, however, and taking two months off is a little tricky.So we were looking at the possibility of exchanging it for a one-month pass. Trouble is, it seems that the existing pass would be refunded - to the credit card of my wife’s former employer, which would be very awkward. For my wife, that’s a clear no-no.I was wondering, if i purchased a more expensive package, could i simply pay the extra, and avoid the refund? Does anyone happen to know?Thanks in advance,Badger

Hello. This is our first post on the community. My wife and I will travel to Europe in mid 2024. We have travelled internationally for business, and are now retired and seek the assistance of the community. We will travel from Australia. We have looked at the senior options for the 15 days in 2 months vs the 2 months in a row. We are also looking at first vs second class. I read on the community that if you depart at 11pm and arrive the following morning, that may count as 2 days travel. Is that the case? Should we consider first over second class? For two seniors, the cost for 15 days in 2 months is $2072 AUD for first class vs 2 months in a row $2438 AUD for second class. Our plan is to travel through France, Switzerland and Portugal. Maybe some side trips along the way. We would appreciate your advice and input.

1.I already bought Eurail Italy Pass. if i choose a station Chiasso(Switzerland) to Milano Centrale can i use this pass without pay? (from Switzterland i also have Swiss pass).2. I try to use planner in eurail app, I choose Chiasso to Milano Centrale (use filter " pass network only") and they show timetable that I can select, is it can use my eurail Italy pass?

We are planning to travel from Paris to Milan on June 3rd. We were originally going to travel from Paris directly to Rome, but with the landslide that is impacting train travel on this route, we decided to overnight in Milan, and then continue to Rome the next day. I’ve seen that by the time we travel, there will be a 'direct' route that includes a bus, but we'd prefer to travel by train the entire route.We’ve seen the recommendation on this site to travel from Paris to Zurich and then Zurich to Milan. We want the fastest route, and since it’s a special vacation, are happy to reserve and pay for business class.My question: when I try to book this route, it doesn't appear that all of the trains are available to book yet - is this correct?We are trying to balance booking early enough to get the seats and timing we’d like, but fear booking too early and missing more desirable trains that may not be scheduled yet.  We had heard that booking 4-6 months out would be ideal, is this correct?An
