Hi everybody! I’m new to the community and planning my first solo Interrail to the UK this summer. I would like to include a trip with the Riviera Sleeper from London to Penzance in my trip. So far I’m finding it hard to find concrete information about making reservations on this train.My research shows that you can only book from 12 weeks in advance. Does anyone know if this is true? I would hate to miss a reservation by being ‘too late’. Also, it is not clear to me whether you can make that reservation from abroad (I live in Belgium). Has anyone tried this recently? What is the best way? As a millennial with severe phone anxiety, I would prefer to settle this online if possible…And last but not least: can anybody tell me the costs of this reservation? I know a seat is 6 euro, but I would like to know the prices of the cabins to decide whether it’s worth the price. I can’t seem to find a conclusive answer anywhere.So, to summarise: all Riviera Sleeper tips & tricks are welcome!Tha

Hey Guys! Me and my sister are currently travelling europe and we have tickets confirmed through the eurrail app for prague to berlin then berlin to amsterdam. Both of these trips are rather long (between 4-5 hours). On the app it says that seat reservations are optional, and then when I move to the website it says they are recommended but we are unable to book them from there. Considering all that do i need to book seat reservations (if so where do i do this?) or am i okay with just the ticket. We are travelling during the winter so the less busy period but we don’t want to risk not having a seat. 

Hi,i bought an Interrail Global Pass today (10.01.24) and want to start my journey in March 2024. When i try to book my seat it is not possible with my Interrail Global Pass.In my Email i got after buying the Interrail Global Pass it said “nach Datum aktivieren” (english Translation with deepl: “Activate by date”)  : 14.07.2024But there wasnt an option for choosing a date while buying the Interrail Global Pass.When i try to activate the Pass I can only choose between June and July 2024...not March as a startdate...

Hi, we want to take a train from Gare de Lyon to Nice Ville, 6:34AM, 15/01/24. We already have our eurail pass and we have to reserve our seat on this website. However I heard that rail planner app isn`t correct sometimes, so i checked SNCF website that the train is available. But we can`t find that train on SNCF website, although we can find that train on this website. In this case, is that train REALLY EXIST..? I mean if we reserve our seat on eurail website and pay, is there any problem boarding the train unless we can`t find that train on SNCF website? PLEASE HELP.

I reserved a place on Eurail for an OBB Nightjet train but due to strikes my train ticket was cancelled. I ended up paying for a hotel and a flight from Berlin to Paris (my original train went from Berlin to Offenburg, then I reserved a ticket from Offenburg to Paris on TGV, all this was done on Eurail). Where do I submit my applications for a refund to, the ticket that Eurail gave me didn’t have a booking number that was valid on the DB website which I tried to apply for a compensation on. 

Hello Eurail community! I am hoping to find train schedules for June 17-20th from Genoa to Pisa. I have searched for routs and it says there are none. The eurail PDF map shows routs existing all along that cost. Any help to find the schedules for these trains would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ciao a tutti, volevo chiedere se anche ad alcuni di voi fosse capitato che, prenotando i vari treni insieme al suo gruppo, ad alcuni di loro avesse annullato uno di questi durante il pagamento, costringendoli quindi a dover cambiare orario del treno, viaggiando così da solo. C’è per caso la possibilità di cambiare in qualche modo o, se qualcuno di voi ha già avuto esperienze di questo tipo, è sicuro salire su un treno di cui non si ha il biglietto ma lo si ha per quello successivo (la distanza è 1 ora tra i due biglietti) ? Sapete se la compagnia treni spagnola sia particolarmente rigida in questi casi? se incontrassimo un controllore è molto probabile che ci faccia una multa? Grazie a tutti in anticipo 

Hello,Currently I'm traveling in Scandinavians countries and I do have 1st class ticket.After a few days I have train from Copenhagen and I'll have to wait a bit in train station. On eurail pass page I found information that I can use DSB lounge free of charge. My question is can I use the lounge to wait there before my train (from Copenhagen will be my first trip).Similar situation I'll have also going from Stockholm. As check out in hotels usually is at 12 I will need to wait around 3h-4h for my first train. Last question about delays. As I mentioned earlier I have train from Stockholm to Bergen - night train, with 2 stops. Looks like there's a lot of time for change, but while I was going to Copenhagen there was many delays and Im a bit worried about that. If my train in any connection will be late and I won't manage for my last connection, what should I do? Next train to Bergen will be around 8am. I'll need to pay extra money for place to sleep and I'll loose 1 of the day from eura

Hi! I was planning a trip that would be about 10 days: From Berlin - Hamburg - Amsterdam - Bruges - Brussels - Paris - Back to Berlin. I plan on getting the 10 days eurail pass.Any thoughts, advice, or recommendations?

My son and I are both travelling on Eurail passes and we have had to cancel multiple trips due to the strike. How do we get back all the monies paid on the seat reservations. It comes to a few hundred dollars.

Hello everyone! Thanks in advance for your ideas. I'll be in Paris Feb 16-18. I'm looking for a day trip idea outside of the city. My main interests would be in Prehistoric Sites or a National Park type activity. I know, I'm too far from Lascaux or Normandy for a day trip to those areas but looking for other ideas. Hey guys, how are you’ll doing? Happy 2024!  Im a newbie here and very excited I found this!  My family and I are traveling to Europe in July for Paris Olympics. It will be Barcelona - Amsterdam - Paris. I am in dire need for guidance about trains (Night train Barcelona - Amsterdam & Amsterdam - Paris).  We’re a family of 6 and are looking for best / cheapest way to travel by train as we would really want to experience this. Thanks in advance!!! Planning trip to EU and will use a Eurail pass.   Two questions:How much before our trip should I buy the Global Pass? (can I wait until a month before?) Can I book reserved seats before I buy the pass? (do this thru Rail company web sites?)

I booked the Eurostar from Amsterdam to London. My interrail app (My Trip) says “Not in Pass network”. The trip is within the month of my global pass, I haven’t booked more than 5 travel days and the return trip with the Eurostar (London-Amsterdam) seems no problem. What could be the case?? 

I am planning to book the Nightjet from Munich to Paris on 6 Jul 2024 departing at 00:12am at OBB website.  However, I found there is no available ticket.  When I try to test some earlier date.  I found there are ticket available from Vienna to Paris in some dates in March but none available from Munich to Paris.  May I know whether there is some privilege for journey starting from Austria or due to other reason (e.g. rail replacement work in German portion? etc) 

I’m attending a class in Poland and plan to travel around Europe afterward. Glasgow, Barcelona and Amsterdam  seem pretty straight forward.Leipzig, Turin, and Zurich are other cities I’m interested in traveling to, but the map I’m directed to doesn’t have them connecting to the EuroRail line. Does that mean,  if I bought a Global Pass I’d have to stop at a different city and then travel to these cities a different way? For example, would I need to arrive in Berlin and then find another method of travel to get to Leipzig?

Me and my friend are going to Spain and Greek islands, so the question is that can we buy one ticket for each country separately. One country pass to Greek islands and one pass for train to Spain? First we are in Spain and then straight from there we fly to the Greek islands.

Hi everyone, I would like to book a ticket for a Nightrain from Oslo to Bergen for the 15th January, but the tickets apparently has to be sent physically and when I enter any adresses (I tire several), it says that the ticket won’t get on time to the location. Has anyone already encountered this problem and give me a tip how to get a ticket? Thank you for your help :-)

Hello guys.I’m planning my first trip to Europe early April next year, and will stay some days on Switzerland as well. I’ve been researching a lot since I’ve made the decision to go, and, by the looks of my Eurail timetable search here, it seems that the connections between Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald are now covered. Still wondering whether I might be misreading something here.Even the Gruetschalp up to Murren seems covered as well (although getting from Lauterbrunnen to Gruetschalp still seems to require separated ticket though). 

We are going to to italy,france and switzerland and i need a guide what are the coverage of the global pass. Naples, Itay - this where we land.  Naples > sorrento - ferry (i doubt it is included to the global pass. But let me know if it is)  sorrento > positano   - ferry (i doubt it is included to the global pass. But let me know if it is)  positano > Amalfi - ferry (i doubt it is included to the global pass. But let me know if it is)      Then we will go back to naples.    Rome,Italy - from naples going to rome, is this included to the global pass using train/bus/ferry? Paris,France - going to versailles and mount saint michel (is this inculded to the global pass) Switzerland - From Paris > Zurich (is this included to the global pass?).  From Zurich going to lucerne,grindelwald, zermatt etc… is included to the global passAppreciate your feedback

Hello ! A few quick questions :Do I have to activate the pass in my home country or whatever ?For the reservation of seats on company websites, can I delete the seats if for example the train is deleted or change of plan ? Because the ticket yes if I don’t activate it in my pass but if the seats are already taken ?Other information : I have a flexible global pass and I'm coming from France. Thanks for your answers.

It says seat reservations are mandatory. Is this true or can I just hop on. 2nd class Global pass
