I would like to ask some questions about tours in Switzerland. I bought the Eurail Pass Global, what do I still need to buy to go to Mount Titlis?The same question applies to getting to Junhfraujoch.Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald?Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen?

Hello,I ran into a very strange situation this morning. I try to make a reservation for the direct TGV from Brussels to Valence on the 27th of april. While trying that at raileurope it says ‘rail pass does not apply for this trip’. While trying at the interrailservice it says ‘tickets may be sold out’. However if I split the reservation it does work. The train from Brussels to Valence stops at Lille Europe. If I request a reservation from Brussels to Lille and from Lille to Valence it does allow me to make a reservation. So that basically means two separate reservations for the same train? Raileurope even puts me in exactly the same seats. What is going on here? I dont really like paying the double fee.

Hello Community,I will be traveling to Switzerland this March for 5 days enroute to London. My aged mother will be accompanying me and so I want to plan and understand things well. I am looking to go to some picturesque place in Nature, away from the city, to spend 3-4 days in the Swiss countryside.Q : What place would you recommend which fits the above criteria?For now I am thinking of - Day 1 - Arrival at ZurichDay 1 - Travel from Zurich to GrindelwaldDay 2 - Grindelwald exploring Day 3 - Travel to Interlaken Day 4 - GrindelwaldDay 5 - Travel to Zurich and departure to LondonThe above includes train travel to Grindelwald and back to Zurich, and also local travel between Interlaken and boat rides. Q: Given the above, should I buy individual tickets for everything?Would it be better option to opt for Swiss Pass (3 days flexi)Would a Eurail global pass be a better option; and will it permit me to travel from Zurich to London by train?Any advice on the above will be gratefully received.G

I have just tried to buy 2 tickets for interrail travel, and kept having an error occurring. When my boyfriend and I did it separately, it went through. I have just received the tickets and completely forgot that we would not be sat next to each other. These are for trains that ‘seat reservations are reccomended, not required’. Does anyone know how strict these seats are? We would like to sit next to each other but don't want to incur any fines. Luckily, the seats are in the same coach, just different seat numbers. 

I’m looking to book couchettes for my family on a Friday night train in late August from Salzburg to Paris. I know it is too early but I can’t find any couchettes available for Friday nights that appear to be “open”. Is there something special I need to do? Should I plan an alternative route or way of transportation?

Are we restricted to these tracks, or is it possible for us to travel by train to different cities on lines that are not connected to the yellow line?The yellow line is a specific train line that runs between capital cities. However, there are many other train lines that run throughout Europe, and you can travel to many different cities on these lines. 

Hello.Me and my wife are originally from Turkey but we are in Germany for 6 months. We are considering buying 2 months in a row pass. So we can travel freely and by taking a break. But if there is a home country question here.Can we choose Turkey as our home country? So we can return to our home in Germany and travel back when we want again. I am asking because paying for trains to the border in Germany every time will cost a lot and it will not be useful and preferable for us.(We have a residence of course in Germany, but also in Turkey. But we do not have a residence permit, only D-Type Visa.)

Hello, I made a purchase of my tickets and reservation in DB . I received an email indicating that there was a change in the schedule of my trains, the change is only 20 minutes earlier, the train numbers remain the same, but they tell me to check if my tickets are still valid. I have tried to contact the company and they do not respond, could someone help me and clarify if they are valid or not and if I just have to present my same printed ticket that I bought and I will not have a problem?

I like to explore historical architecture and museums. Good day,  I am visiting France and Swiss,  Going to Mont Blanc, Jungfrau, Mt Pilatus Which cable/tram rides have discounted rates with the Eurail pass, will be taking the multicity pass for 4 days.

I plan on visiting London, Paris and Barcelona with my family (10 yr old, 6 yr old) and was thinking I would fly to Paris return and then take a return Chunnel to London and an overnight sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona and back. Can anyone suggest if there is a better approach - e.g. using low cost airlines? How do I go about pre-booking a sleeper for my family in advance … and which train - e.g. Eurostar? Hi, I have 2 questions; When planning a trip requiring a train change, I notice there is often a very brief amount of time eg: Brugges to Paris via Brussels has 10 mins (or less). The first leg does not require a reservation so, can I catch an earlier train to ensure I have enough time to catch the second one, which DOES required a reservation? If so, how do i do this on the planning function on the app as it defaults to the quickest trip? or doesn’t it really matter as long as I am there in time for the train requiring reservations? We are a group of 6 and would like to sit together if possible. Does this mean 1 person has to make all the bookings? How does than work with the app?Thank you and I apologise if I have been long-winded and unclear.Diane.

I have been looking on Rail Europe for trains - and the information is different on this website than on the interrail app. Train from Bruxelles-midi to Koeln Hbf 24th July 2024 16.23 arr 18.15. I am struggling to get a Eurostar seat booking for this. So trains without seat bookings:On the interrail it states you go to Liege-Guillemins with ICE 317 first, and then to AachenHbf and then Koeln Hbfon Rail Europe ICE 317 is a direct train to Koeln Hbf and I do not need a seat reservation.Do you know which is correct??? Very different trains?

Hi all,I wondered if anyone has any information on the construction work that is scheduled to take place in Italy between Villach Hbf and Carnia and which is impacting the Nightjet service (NJ237) from Munich to Venice in July. I’m looking to take this train on Weds 17th July - currently the train is not available for reservation however the previous week can be reserved and shows a message that a “rail replacement bus service” will be in operation (not exactly ideal for a sleeper train...):This message is currently showing for the trains departing on the 10th and 11th July, train from the 12th onwards are not open for reservation and haven’t been for the past 2 weeks.Does anyone know how long this work is expected to last? I contacted OBB through their website about this and have not had a response.cheers,Nick

Can anyone signpost me to instructions on how to use the Rail Europe website or app to make reservations with an Interrail Pass? I’ve tried going through each step of the booking process and cannot see where to enter Interrail pass? Thanks 

I will be coming to Europe in June 2024.  I’m with a group of friends until June 29th.  Then, I am on my own for 3 weeks.  I would like to get a Eurail pass, but I’m confused.  Eurail trains do not take me where I want to go, but other trains do.  Will a Eurail Pass get me on these other trains as well?  Or is there another option for me - to get on all the different trains throughout Europe for 3 weeks? 

Hello! I was thinking about going to Istanbul but the train connection in the east parte of Europe is a bit difficult to understand... I'll be in Budapest and I think that the best way Is to go to Bucarest and from there I saw there is a bus... Do you know if the bus Is included? I don't know how to understand if the bus Is part or not of the ticket. And, to come back, I need to go to Vienna after, do you have suggestions about the way to follow?

Então só posso usar os trens no dia que eu registrar um dos 10 dias?

Myself (60 and use a mobility scooter) and my grandson (6) have tickets for a Euro 24 match in gelsenkirschen.  We are going to stay in Dusseldorf.We will be travelling from the uk.Day 1  Train from south west to london overnight stay in londonDay 2 euro star from london to dusseldorf. stay in dusseldorfDay 3 Train from dusseldorf to gelsenkirchen for the match and return  stay in dusseldorfDay 4 Train from dusseldorf to london then london to swWould the eurail cover this trip Im very confused with the route planner

My wife and I  have Interrail Global Passes valid for June 2024.  We want to book sleeper or couchette berths on this train but are informed (online) bookings are unobtainable.  At the same time, we learn that this train is very and likely to sell out very quickly. Elsewhere the Booking Horizon is given as 180 days in advance !  How can we secure these reservations?
