How far advance can seat reservation can be made for SNCF/TGV train from Switzerland (Basel or Zurich) or Strasbourg to Paris?? We are planning to travel at the end of May. Currently not too many options showing on SNCF website, and on Eurail website, all show Pass not Valid, I understand it is too soon to make a seat reservation, but can anyone help me with the timeline please ?? Thanks so much

I'm a Eurail 2nd pass customer and I'm creating my journey, but on my way from Schiphol to Brussels Midi it appears that I need supplements.I want to take the regional train trip at 8:43 on February 18, 2023.Should I do something with this add-in or is it a mistake?Do I need to pay something? Just add it to my journey? Do I need to buy something at the train station?

Why can’t I find a train via global europass from Venice to Milan and Milan to Locarno 

I discovered a train journey listed on the Rail Planner App, departing from Muenchen Hbf and arriving at Heidelberg Hbf, scheduled for 07:46 - 10:44. However, I couldn't find this particular train in the Seat Reservation System. Can I use my Eurail Pass for this journey?

Looking to travel London - Paris - Bordeaux - Madrid in Aug, then fly back. Will get the 4 day-1 month interrail passIs Eurostar part of the pass?Is the online map accurate? Or can I stop at Bilbao or San Sebastian before Madrid? How do I know in advance if I can use my pass there?Is it best to book accommodation now or on the journey?Really grateful for any advice

Hello,  I am planning on travelling to several destinations in Europe beginning in February. I purchased a 2 month, 10 day travel pass. I just reserved my seats to go from Milan to Bern, and I received an email providing me with a QR code. I have also connected my pass to the Rail Planner app. To my understanding, once I click the button on one of my selected journeys, I will be given another QR code under the “passes” section of the app. Is this QR to use one of my 10 days of travel? do I need both QR codes to board the train, or only the one from booking my reservation?

3 of us have bought passes individually but want to access our trip from different mobile devices is this possible or do we all need to be logged into the same account?

 I start my interrrail today. I have 6 days in a month. Tomorrow I do not want to use it. Do I need to do something or just dont open it all day ?

I would like to ask some questions about tours in Switzerland. I bought the Eurail Pass Global, what do I still need to buy to go to Mount Titlis?The same question applies to getting to Junhfraujoch.Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald?Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen?

Hello,I ran into a very strange situation this morning. I try to make a reservation for the direct TGV from Brussels to Valence on the 27th of april. While trying that at raileurope it says ‘rail pass does not apply for this trip’. While trying at the interrailservice it says ‘tickets may be sold out’. However if I split the reservation it does work. The train from Brussels to Valence stops at Lille Europe. If I request a reservation from Brussels to Lille and from Lille to Valence it does allow me to make a reservation. So that basically means two separate reservations for the same train? Raileurope even puts me in exactly the same seats. What is going on here? I dont really like paying the double fee.

Hello Community,I will be traveling to Switzerland this March for 5 days enroute to London. My aged mother will be accompanying me and so I want to plan and understand things well. I am looking to go to some picturesque place in Nature, away from the city, to spend 3-4 days in the Swiss countryside.Q : What place would you recommend which fits the above criteria?For now I am thinking of - Day 1 - Arrival at ZurichDay 1 - Travel from Zurich to GrindelwaldDay 2 - Grindelwald exploring Day 3 - Travel to Interlaken Day 4 - GrindelwaldDay 5 - Travel to Zurich and departure to LondonThe above includes train travel to Grindelwald and back to Zurich, and also local travel between Interlaken and boat rides. Q: Given the above, should I buy individual tickets for everything?Would it be better option to opt for Swiss Pass (3 days flexi)Would a Eurail global pass be a better option; and will it permit me to travel from Zurich to London by train?Any advice on the above will be gratefully received.G

I have just tried to buy 2 tickets for interrail travel, and kept having an error occurring. When my boyfriend and I did it separately, it went through. I have just received the tickets and completely forgot that we would not be sat next to each other. These are for trains that ‘seat reservations are reccomended, not required’. Does anyone know how strict these seats are? We would like to sit next to each other but don't want to incur any fines. Luckily, the seats are in the same coach, just different seat numbers. 

I’m looking to book couchettes for my family on a Friday night train in late August from Salzburg to Paris. I know it is too early but I can’t find any couchettes available for Friday nights that appear to be “open”. Is there something special I need to do? Should I plan an alternative route or way of transportation?

Are we restricted to these tracks, or is it possible for us to travel by train to different cities on lines that are not connected to the yellow line?The yellow line is a specific train line that runs between capital cities. However, there are many other train lines that run throughout Europe, and you can travel to many different cities on these lines. 

Hello.Me and my wife are originally from Turkey but we are in Germany for 6 months. We are considering buying 2 months in a row pass. So we can travel freely and by taking a break. But if there is a home country question here.Can we choose Turkey as our home country? So we can return to our home in Germany and travel back when we want again. I am asking because paying for trains to the border in Germany every time will cost a lot and it will not be useful and preferable for us.(We have a residence of course in Germany, but also in Turkey. But we do not have a residence permit, only D-Type Visa.)

Hello, I made a purchase of my tickets and reservation in DB . I received an email indicating that there was a change in the schedule of my trains, the change is only 20 minutes earlier, the train numbers remain the same, but they tell me to check if my tickets are still valid. I have tried to contact the company and they do not respond, could someone help me and clarify if they are valid or not and if I just have to present my same printed ticket that I bought and I will not have a problem?

Good day,  I am visiting France and Swiss,  Going to Mont Blanc, Jungfrau, Mt Pilatus Which cable/tram rides have discounted rates with the Eurail pass, will be taking the multicity pass for 4 days.

I plan on visiting London, Paris and Barcelona with my family (10 yr old, 6 yr old) and was thinking I would fly to Paris return and then take a return Chunnel to London and an overnight sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona and back. Can anyone suggest if there is a better approach - e.g. using low cost airlines? How do I go about pre-booking a sleeper for my family in advance … and which train - e.g. Eurostar? Hi, I have 2 questions; When planning a trip requiring a train change, I notice there is often a very brief amount of time eg: Brugges to Paris via Brussels has 10 mins (or less). The first leg does not require a reservation so, can I catch an earlier train to ensure I have enough time to catch the second one, which DOES required a reservation? If so, how do i do this on the planning function on the app as it defaults to the quickest trip? or doesn’t it really matter as long as I am there in time for the train requiring reservations? We are a group of 6 and would like to sit together if possible. Does this mean 1 person has to make all the bookings? I have been looking on Rail Europe for trains - and the information is different on this website than on the interrail app. Train from Bruxelles-midi to Koeln Hbf 24th July 2024 16.23 arr 18.15. I am struggling to get a Eurostar seat booking for this. So trains without seat bookings:On the interrail it states you go to Liege-Guillemins with ICE 317 first, and then to AachenHbf and then Koeln Hbfon Rail Europe ICE 317 is a direct train to Koeln Hbf and I do not need a seat reservation.Do you know which is correct??? Very different trains?
