Hi. Couple questions for the group.1. Is it worth purchasing a EU Rail pass? I know this is a general question, but we have not travelled Europe by rail before. Or is it better to just book individual tickets?2. We are trying to book tickets from Paris to Bayeux return at the end of March and it shows lots of Paris to Bayeux options but zero options from March 25th onwards for the return option.  Is there a planned interruption at this time? Train shows “not bookable”

Hello, i activated my France Germany pass on the 2nd of December and on my rail planner app it says that my ticket is valid from the 2nd December to 1st of January. i thought that the France Germany pass was only valid until the end of 2023, or does this refer to the activation date ? So the question is, can I still use one trip on the 1st of January 

I would like tot go from Holland to Poland by plane and from Poland to Holland by train. Is it possible to check in somewhere else than your home country?

El mapa de eurail es muy genérico y no permite escoger una ruta, con click al icono de “cómo llegar”, lleva a Google Maps y, por ejemplo, en Google existen trenes de Sevilla a Málaga pero esa ruta no existe en el mapa de Eurail.Deseo iniciar un. viaje por España, desde Sevilla; levantarme y decidir adónde voy, ir a la estación comprar un pasaje y ya está; o un Global Pass continuo de dos meses. We are traveling  on these dates who have first-class global passes, and we have five luggages with us. Could you help to explain the distinction between a recommended seat reservation and an optional seat reservation? 

We have reservations at Sparschiene for 31/12/2023 07:05 Zagreb Glavni kolodvor -> 11:07 Villach Hbf (EC212), 11:16 Villach Hbf -> 13:48 Salzburg Hbf (EC112) via ÖBB site.(including seat reservation).There has been a change in my reservation, apparently the train has been changed from EC212 to D212. However, there seems to be no change in time, etc., just a change in train cars. Also, the ticket I currently have is still EC212. Question 1)Please see in image 1. "Please remember to find out about the alternative trains or transports available to you during the time the ticket is valid", so is it necessary to purchase an alternative ticket? Or can I still board the train with this ticket?Question 2)When I click on "Show alternative services", I can see the alternatives as shown in image 2. If I need to purchase an alternative ticket, do I need to pay 152.20 euro to purchase the ticket again? Image 1: Image2:

Hello all, I am planning to do a domestic travel within France with my partner, however he’s not a pass holder. The only way I’m aware of is for me to book on travel.b-europe.com for myself as a pass holder, and for him separately on other sites. Which would also mean we would not be seated together as we’d like. It’s quite important for us since we rarely see each other. My question is : is there any other way for us to book together even though he’s not a pass holder? I’m a new user so I don’t know much.Big thanks in advance for all the replies! 

If I’m traveling from Greece to Edinburg, Scotland, can I take Eurorail Global Pass on any of this journey?

Hello, my name is Jeff. I'm planning a solo backbacking trip through Europe for 3 months beginning mid March. I'm traveling through Scotland, Wales, London, France, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Greece and Croatia. Trying to figure out if a pass is in order or if I should just wing it. Any advice would be appreciated!

So I'm basically citizen of Iran but I study and have residency permit in Turkey. For that reason I chose interrail and purchased it. Now when I want to activate my interrail global pass it asks for my ID Document and it shows my country of residence as Turkey. Do I have to write my Turkish Residency Permit ID in there or my passport number (which also has schengen stamp on it). Thing is if I write my passport number then the country of residence on my ticket will be different than my nationality.. so I should just write my Turkish Residency ID? Btw I have a proof that I am a resident in Turkey (I have the residency ID card) and I guess thats enough right?This one I mean, the residence country should match the ID number of my Turkish residency card right? not my Iranian passport number?Thank you so much in advance

Hello everyone, I’m a non-EU resident and am currently in France. I’m looking forward to traveling to Belgium from Paris on the 23th of December (I should’ve planned ahead, I know.) The problem is that, I can’t make seat reservation using the Rail Planner app/ Eurail site. It says :“Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”I tried using the Eurostar and SNCF site, there are tickets available starting from 90€, I have no idea how to use my Eurail to book it. (or if it’s even possible to do so? Because I can only book at full price which is understandably high.) Or if I need to go to a train station to book it, I’d be willing to. The app does say that the in-app schedules aren’t the most recent since it was last updated yesterday. That’s why I would like to know if there are other ways to book it with Eurail pass at lower price. This who

 I had a look at booking sites for the Bernina Express and I’m unsure what they’re telling me. I want to reserve seats for April 21 departing from Chur at 8:28 arriving at Tirano 12:49. After doing some research, I’ve decided to go on the panoramic train, first class using my Eurail Pass. The results I am getting from different sites is confusing me. The Eurail site tells me “Prices for this journey will start to be available 60 days before departure.” The help on the page says I can book at the following site, but that one seems to indicate that I can book BUT there’s only 4 seats left on the train On the other hand, the OBB site says tickets not available And Rail Europe says it’s available 

I’m not sure what I need to do on this trip and am after a bit of direction. I have a 1st class Eurail pass and one of the trips I want to do is Pordenone to Vienna on May 2. The planner shows this to be a 6 hour 29 minute trip including a trip on RJ132 high speed train. All the other trips I’ve looked at, and booked, involving high speed train travel cost upwards for 40AUD to reserve a seat. This trip seems to show 3 - 6 Euro depending on the web site and the Eurail site shows it to be free??? It also shows prices for 3 different classes, 1st, 1st Business and 2nd. I’m not sure what it’s trying to tell me. I thought 1st and 1st business were essentially the same. What do I get for zero, and does the fact that the list includes a price for 2nd class mean that I can downgrade on this leg, even thoughI have already purchased a 1st class pass? I’m very confused!  

Which is the best web site to book the 1:12 PM Paris Nord - 2:30 PM London St-Pancras on May 22?According to the Eurail web site, “Prices for this journey will start to be available 180 days before departure.” May 22 is less than 180 days from now so those prices should just about be there. The only other site I could find that would accept a booking was www.b-europe.com but that doesn’t seem to accept Eurail as a discount so the price shows as 218 Euro for a 1st class Mid Flex. . Is that the one I should be booking?

The 30/12 to 02/01 I'll be not far from Liechtenstein and I would love to discover 🇱🇮 But it seems quite difficult because I can't find any transportation the 30 and 31. 🤔 Do you know why ?  If your a traveller near (Bodensee) Lake Konstanz or Liechtenstein I would love to meet you ( discover some places, have a coffee, talk etc ) 💃🏻

I’d like to make the following trip but on this web site it says I have to break the trip down into 2 trips because I don’t need to reserve a seat on the first leg. Other sites seem to suggest that I can book the entire journey. My understanding is that if I book the entire journey and the first leg runs late, it’s up to the carrier to help me get a connecting train without penalty. But if I do as this site suggests and break the trip down into two legs and the first train runs late, then I lose my reservation cost on the second leg. Is my understanding correct? Should I book the trip on another site that allows the whole journey to be booked, or would it be safe to break it down?

I have been told that the sleeper for the Prague to Zurich is currently only available till mid Feb. I intend checking regularly until the 9/5/2024 booking is available, but in the meantime I want to make sure I choose the right train and right booking method. On an earlier question I was told “This can be booked at https://www.nightjet.com/ train number is EN 50466 Add Interrail/Eurail as discount for each passenger and search to get passholder fare. Cost for 2 in private sleeper is €116 or €156 for en-suite sleeper.” The one I want is the cost for 2 in an en-suite sleeper.So if I go to nightjet.com and enter a date in early Feb (to see how it works) I select adults and load my discount, it gives me the following options. Hey - We are off on a short 7 day trip Jan 1-9 and We are going from Paris to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Bruge and Bruge to London - but I am so far only able to get a reservation for our Eurostar from Bruge to London Jan 5th. Question is - if there are no reservations for the fast trains - can one wait around the train station for a couple of hours with hopes to get on the trains - or will more reservations slowly appear?Should I keep checking back to see if reservations show up for some of our travel days or ask for a refund and book tickets normally?

Hi,I am travelling saturday morning (in 36 jours) from Lyon to Zürich and then have my intinerary planned. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything.So tomorrow I just have to go to the train station and find the train I saw on my interrail app and saved in « my trip » then simply hop on the train ? If someone talks to me on board, I just have to show them the QR code on the app for that trip since it’s marked that « seat reservations are optional » right? That’s it? Is there anything else I have to know or do? Do I need to print something ? All the trains I chose do not require seat reservation and I am planning to buy an external battery to make sure I always have my data for controls.
