Hi, Eurail Community,We are travelling Europe from the 28th of Feb to 25th of March 2024 from London ending in Istanbul.We are planning to visit the following cities:-London - 4nightsAmsterdam - 4nightsBrussels - Day Trip in-between Amsterdam and ParisParis - 2nightsZurich and Surroundings - 4nightsRome - 3nightsVenice - 2nightsVienna - 2nightsBudapest - 2nightsIstanbul -3nightsin that order. We are planning to fly from Budapest to Istanbul for the last leg of our journey. We need advice if we should purchase the 10days in 2 months flexi tickets or the 22 days continues tickets. We would also like advise on the availability of night trains in-between the destinations listed above to save on daylight times if possible and on top of the cost of the Eurail Global Pass, how much should we expect to pay for seat reservations? Do we need to make seat reservations on the rail planner app or do we reserve our seats at the station during arrival for our departure.Also, is the Swiss Transport Pa

I’m planning to go on a cruise from Genoa in Feb 2024.I need to know which is the best way to travel from Genoa to Rome as i will be staying in Rome for a week after the cruise. I would also like to visit Florence, Venice, Verona and Milan. I need some guidance please as to what is the best option. 

I have been using the belgian rail website as recommended by another member in order to check the availability for pass holders of trains in France and the eurostar to London, however, it is not showing the same availability for Eurail and Interrail passes. As I live in Europe I need an Interrail pass.  I want to travel from London to Lille or Paris on the 27th of December (2 passengers), when Interrail is selected then there is no availability at all, when Eurail is selected, all the trains appear to be available.  Is this just some kind of glitch?  I can’t think why there would be a different number of seats for Interrail vs Eurail passes. I don’t want to buy the pass if the train is not available and I don’t know which one to trust, would it be a problem to book the reservation under a Eurail pass but actually have an Interrail pass?  Is there a better/different website I should try?Thanks!

Am I wrong in saying if you buy a 4 days a month is that every month for a year

If I buy a year pass for 4 days a month. Can I travel to lille from Glasgow on 1st day then 2 days travelling Belgium and Germany then 4th day back to Glasgow

HiI’m planning/learning/researching for May 2024 France-only trip. Will need to store 3 mobile passes on 1 iPhone (2 seniors & 1 adult). Have not bought the 7-day eurail pass yet. I am trying to understand how I should name my “folders” on the Rail Planner app.“My Pass”: I believe this is where I will see the 3 passes (once bought & loaded on the iPhone)“Planner”: when I do a test search using the “Planner” tab, after I select a journey, click on “Save journey”, I’m not sure which “folder” I should save in. (See “My Trip” for more details).“My Trip”: this is a problematic area for me. What is the “Trip Name” supposed to be?using dates such as “May 19, 2024”? using locations ? “Paris Est to Colmar”? or just a general name like “France 2024”? I really want to do it correctly as I also need to duplicate journeys/trips to add to the other 2 senior passes on my iPhone. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey! I am considering about getting the Black Friday discount pass witg 15 travel days in 2 months. It says that the discount ticket must be activated on 1st of June. Does that mean that if I activate it on 1st of June it will be valid until the end of July? I would only make my journey on July.

Hi everyone, I am planning a trip and having trouble understanding something. If I get a 10 day travel pass, do i have to use it all in one go or can i travel for 7 days, go home, then use the remaining 3 a couple weeks later ? Thanks!

I have (already) bought a Eurail Global Pass (coming first time to Europe with spouse). Budget is my BIG concern & I want to take full benefit of this pass (for cheap travel wherever possible).I am concerned about traveling to (& within Italy) on this Pass. The major routes that I want to travel (on different days) using this pass include; I want to avoid seat reservations where ever possible and I welcome all any advice.Lucerne to Milan (Dec 23rd) - I’d like to visit nearby attractions like Lake Como on Dec 24th.  Milan to Florence (Dec 25th) - Maybe visit Pisa/Cinque Terre on Dec 26th Florence to Naples (Dec 27th) - I know time’s a concern and if I could, I’d love to see Amalfi coat or any other southern towns Naples to Rome (Dec 28th) - I’m in Rome for 3 days before I fly back on 31st Dec.So my questions are:I need help/guidance to find a cheap/free train from the above locations (or some nearby location) till Rome while utilizing Eurail Global Pass. Can I use global eurail pass from ZURICH HB to Winterthur?

I do not want to connect My Trip to my mobile pass at home as I am worried when I connect trip to pass that will count as Day 1, but I need to reserve some seats.Can somebody tell me if connecting the pass to a trip a week or so before your first trip is ok to do?Thanks in advance

Hi to everyone!We are planning the following trip:Friday:hometown (location Germany) to Hamburg22.03h Hamburg night train to Stockholm 9.57h (arrival Saturday)Saturday:18.08h Stockholm to Narvik 12.40h (arrival Sunday)But this ‘costs’ only 2 days of the ticket, as the last train is a nighttrain and is an overnight connection and the journey ends with this train.The journey back:Friday:15.11 Narvik to Stockholm 10:09h (arrival Saturday)17:34h Stockholm to Hamburg 8:56h (arrival Sunday)Hamburg → hometown (in Germany)But here it ‘costs’ 3 days, because there is another change of train in Germany travelling home.But, to sum-up, the 5-day ticket would be ok. Dear all!This more a question of common understanding the Interrail-Ticket System...At the moment the 10-days-global-pass is on sale. But, just to get it right, I will only have one day for leaving my home country and one day for travelling back. I cannot make more sereval smaller trips. E.g. I will go to Sweden (in my case from Germany) and come back home, after let´s say 5 days. Then, after three weeks more, I will travel from my home town to Italy. This is not possible, as there is just one travel day for leaving the home country and one coming back. All the other 8 travel days need to be laid between leaving and coming back. Hi I am travelling to Europe tomorrow with my daughter using an interail pass.I have activated my pass but I have no journeys to add as this has all been done by my daughter. Will this be a problem, how does this work when I have no journeys on my pass?

Hello, I am going to travel to Spain, Madrid on December 22 until January 9, during that time I would love to visit other nearby countries such as France, Italy and Switzerland, I was thinking of buying the Global pass, but I see that all the trains to those destinations require reservations , therefore I don't know if the pass is worth it, or how I can get a route without trains with a reservation. I accept options for other routes to Europe from Madrid that do not require a reservation. Thank you

Hello,I bought a Eurail French Pass and have already made seat reservation.  The travel date is December 1, 2023.  I would like to exchange the pass to Eurail Global Pass.  If I change the pass, do I have to make seat reservation again?  Can I use the current seat reservation that I made earlier?Thank you.

Hi all,We have recently purchased our 10 days flexi Eurail pass and would like to reserve our seat in Eurostar London- Amsterdam train dated 20th April 24.However, after trying since last 4 days in b-europe website, I am constantly getting the below message:"No connections matching your requests.Please change your search options (e.g. allow any type of trains, don't specify a via station or reduce extra transfer time)" I am unable to understand the above message. This message seems to be coming for almost all weekends after mid Jan 24. Same train is available to book on all other days even for 19th April and 21st April.So please help me out to understand, why no availability for weekends? Is the schedule not updated for weekends? Or is there no availability for this train left for 20th April?I am still 6 months far from travel,is it really possible that this train is booked for weekends as far as mid April?Would appreciate your assistance in this regard.Thanks,Sonali

Hey, I wanted to book a trip by Night Jet (ÖBB) from Paris to Vienna on december 26th. I checked regularly since august but no seats were ever available. Another couple of questions about reservations:Is a reservation obligatory on the German part of the ICE Frankfurt - Paris? Is the Interrail pass valid on the bus from Saarbrücken to Luxembourg? And what's the easiest way to reserve a seat?
