Hi,I had used the Rail Planner app on my previous trip with no issues. I've changed phone (now running Android 14) and have successfully installed the Rail Planner, it starts fine asking what pass I have (Eurail/interrail/none), but whichever option I tick, when I then click on the yellow "Next" ("Suivant" in french) button at the bottom, I get presented with a page "Keep informed" ("Tenez-vous informé(e)" in french), and whichever combinations of notifications I select, strictly nothing happens when I click on the "Save" ("Enregistrer") button at the bottom.This means I can't actually get past this initial configuration, so have no access to the actual functionalities of the app, and hence can't use my mobile interrail pass I have just purchased.Many thanks for any help in getting the app into operation mode !Kind regards,Pascal

Hi all,This is my first time going to Europe and I’ve never purchased a eurail pass before. I will be in Europe for one month. I need to travel to Paris from Spain for 4 days, from Spain to Rome for 4 days, then to Florence 4 days, Positano 4 days, and back to Rome where I fly home. Is it better to buy a Global pass or a 10 day in 2 months pass? Any advice you can give would be helpful.Annette

HiHeading to Germany in June for Euros,. travelling from Scotland and planing on doing 3 trips there and back.June 13th  Edinburgh to Munich  (overnight train)  2 travel days   June 15th Munich to Edinburgh  1 travel day June 18th Brussels to Stuttgart 1 travel day  (Edinburgh to Brussels extra cost)June  20th  Stuttgart to Brussels)  1 travel day  (Brussels to Edinburgh extra cost) June 22nd  Brussels  to Cologne  1 travel day  (Edinburgh to Brussels extra cost)June 24th Cologne to Edinburgh  1 travel day   (Brussels to Edinburgh extra cost) So 7 travel days pass would be fine if I’ve done my research rightI know i have to pay for seat reservations and for the extra trips back into Europe.If i have missed anything or there is a better way please let me know let me knowKenny  

Thinking of getting an Interrail-Eurail pass and you're trying to be as cautious as possible considering how much money you're going to have to put out before you even get started?? Good for you for checking! Now know this . . . the Interrail-Eurail PASS IS A SCAM!!!!! Here's why. A few months ago my husband & I bought 2 passes. Yes, we read all the fine print. As early as possible on the very 1st day we were allowed to make reservations, we tried to do just that, but shockingly, we couldn't because seats were already sold out!!! How are seats already sold-out when seat reservations had just opened for Interrail-Eurail passes???!!! We tried and tried, but nothing. We read somewhere on the website to go to our nearest train station. That's what we did and were told that only a very few seats are allotted for Interrail-Eurail pass holders. We prefer a direct high speed train where we can use our Gobal Pass.Are we too late or too early to reserve? Hi. We purchased the 2 month global pass (plus upgrade for 100% refund). I used this site for seat reservations and now realise that I cannot confirm actual seat numbers on this site. How do I cancel this request to receive a full refund for the seat reservations (and) what site do you recommend to book actual seat numbers. Ideally I would like to see the seat layout of the class that I am booking. Thank you once again for your assistance.

Hello everybody,I want to book the ferry from Travemünde (Germany) to Malmö (Sweden) for my Interrail trip.I red on this link (https://www.interrail.eu/de/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/ferries/finnlines) that I can book the ferry from Travemünde to Malmö, and using the “RAIL” code, I will receive a 50% discount on the booking of the ferry, but on the finnlines website the code isn’t valid.Does anybody know why and if there is another valid Interrail Code to receive a discount? Thank you for your responses :)

Hey Community, I was wondering when exactly a trip is counted as inbound? Is the point where I cross the border the deciding factor or does it matter who operates the train? I plan to take a cross border train from France to Germany, which SNCF operates until the first stop in Germany, then DB takes over. Can I ride until this first stop across the border without using an inbound day or do I have to get off at the last stop on the French side.Thanks in advance.

I wanted to make an Interrail trip to Portugal this year, then when I started planning I found out there are almost no train connections between Spain and Portugal…On the Interrail page I saw an article that said there are two trains per day from Vigo (Spain) to Portugal, but it’s from 2017 and in the Railplanner App it tells me there are no connections via Vigo.My original plan was to travel through northern Spain and enter Portugal from there and travel back through southern Spain.Now I just want a route where I can be sure I get into Portugal and out again without too much stress because I only have about 14 days of vacation. I am thankful for any tips or tricks or experiences to help me out, thanks in advance.

Italy in June booking accomodation question - Travelling around Italy (from Bath, UK) - Trains and accomodation booked as far as Bologna (26th May) + a stay in Naples & Salerno also booked. Our route is roughly UK - via Paris to Geneva, Bologna, Umbria / Tuscany, Naples area, then Sicily.We plan 3 ish days in Umbria or Tuscany (end May) then 7 or 8 days in Sicily (from 5th June). We would like to have some travel flexibility - I'm assuming we can book hotels / airbnb's (budget circa max 130 Euro for a double) on the fly (a day or 2 ahead) - is this correct / any thoughts?Thanks

I’m hoping to travel this spring with my 3 kids, one of whom is under 4.  The rules say that one parent can take two kids but under 4s don’t need a pass.   So the other two kids can use the child pass associated with the parent but can I still take the 2 year old without issues? 

Hi, I have an Irish passport but have lived in China for over ten years. I’ll be arriving into the UK and staying for just under 2 months this summer. I’ll be travelling within the UK/Ireland and throughout Europe over those 2 months, so the 15 travel day Eurail pass looks perfect for my needs. But I’m wondering if the Chinese residence visa within my Irish passport will be sufficient proof of residence in China? I have about 5 consecutive years of residence visas within my current passport. The only other official Chinese IDs I have are my university teacher card and foreign expert certificate, neither of which have a Chinese address on them. I do also have the rental certificate for my apartment, but it’s entirely in Chinese.  Cheers for any advice,Ben

I’m traveling with my niece throughout Europe in late May-middle of June. I’m trying to determine which is more cost effective for us, either buying a Eurail pass and making seat reservations or buying tickets directly.I’m looking at purchasing the Global Eurail Pass with 5 days of travel, first-class, one adult pass and one youth pass. In determining what is most cost effective, I’ve been doing what has been suggested, which is comparing Eurail passes with reservation fees against prices for directly purchased tickets, and doing like for like comparisons (same dates, routes).I keep hearing how inexpensive train travel is in Europe, and how it is often better economically to buy tickets directly, however, when I price it out, Eurail seems to be far cheaper (almost $1000 cheaper) for our plans. Is this because I want to travel in first-class? Is it because one of us is a youth Eurail pass? Is it due to where we are traveling (France to Switzerland to Italy). Is it due to all of these?
