Hey guys!I'm pretty new here and never travelled to Europe so I have no idea how to whole Swiss or Eurail pass works. I've been trying to do my research on the subject but there's a whole bunch of information and I need the most budget efficient plan that I can't seem to find anywhere. I'm traveling with 2 other people - 2 adults 30+ and 1 youth 21.Anyway, I'm planning a trip in February (2023) and will, hopefully, be in able to visit France, England, and Switzerland between Feb 1-16 - and my itinerary is:Feb 1-5 - stay in ParisFeb 5-8 - go to LondonFeb 8 - travel from England to Paris to ZurichFeb 8-10 - stay in Zurich with trip to Lucerne on Feb 9 (8am-7pm) and go back to Zurich same dayFeb 10 - travel to Grindelwald from Zurich and stay from Feb 10-12Feb 12 - travel to Montreux from Grindelwald and stay from Feb 12-14Feb 14 - travel back to Paris from MontreuxFeb 14-16 - final days in Paris before flight to the USI also was planning on taking, during Feb 11, the Glacier Express or s

Bonjour, je voudrais aller à Rome avec ma famille en partant de France. Est-ce que je dois prendre le pass 1 pays ( Italie)? Ou le pass global ?Les tarifs en train sont 3 fois plus chers qu'en avion. C'est insensé.Je ne suis pas sûre que le pass me revienne moins cher pour 4 que de prendre une carte avantage à la SNCF. Difficile de se faire une idée réelle du prix. Je trouve ça compliqué.Vous auriez des conseils à me donner ?

I bought 3 Eurail passes for my family on the 21st of December and Eurail.com just started the Winter Vacation Discount before a day passes😭. How could this happen!! But we don’t think that we bought those with Plus options and we did not activated our passes, yet. Is there any chance that we can get the Winter Discount??? It’s been a long time since we had gone on a trip abroad due to the coronavirus. Almost 4 years… Please, We really want to get this discount if it’s possible.

I bought eurail pass today, but soon after I found 10% sale !!! I bought with plus status, so I’m sure I get full refund..  But actually I also reserved some seats,, pass itself is not activated yet, but can I change pass no to current reservation ?? 

Hi my family is currently in Paris France right now with 1 senior and 2 Child and they are a party of 9 havingtroublE with booking for their Eurail seat reservation on their trip to Paris to Lyon on December 25. Please Help. This is what is Shown on the  booking for their seats they are hinding 1st Class tickets. Please Help.  

Morning all, I noticed the 10% this morning and I just want to make sure that I’m correct with possibly swapping my pass for one of the sale passes. I currently hold a 5D/30D with plus.I’m considering either keeping the 5D/30D or swapping for a 7D/30D.If I’m correct, I would have to purchase the new pass, then ask for an exchange if upgrading to the 7D/30D pass? Would the same still apply if keeping the 5D/30D pass?I also have a few reservations and as far I can tell, reservations are associated by name, therefore there should be any issues by changing passes. Am I correct?Thanks again.

We are going to travel for 1 month to the UK and Ireland. Should the Ireland pass and the British pass or the Global Pass suit us? What is the difference? Do it allow different trains?

I am also looking into an Interrail pass, for example for 5 or 7 days within 1 month.Question: if you start with the direct night train from Arnhem to Vienna (which then departs on Tuesday evening for example and arrives on Wednesday morning), does that count as 2 travel days or 1 travel day?And does it make a difference if you book a non-direct night train?Are there terms and conditions where I can find that?

I bought the 4-day Global Pass.I have two doubts: RESERVATIONSCan reservations only be made 90 days before each destination?Is it done through the app or on the Eurail website? TICKETOn the day of train travel, how does it work?Will I have a QRCode in the app or will I have to issue a printed voucher?Will Eurail provide me with something to mark the days of using my Global Pass? I confess that I'm a little lost for having bought it.If you can help me more or less with how to book and pick up tickets later during the trip, I would be very grateful.

So we are new to Eurail, travelling with husband and 3 teenagers. Is it best to all be on one device?Also how do I start booking?Stockholm to Oslo, then Oslo to bergen, via Flam. We have 1st class tickets so would love to utilise these. Then Copenhagen to Vojens.Then onto Berlin. That’s enough for now, just want to get started booking.So do not activate till day of travel? It’s a 15 day pass. And if passes are on different devices, how do we book together?

Thank you to all the contributors who have spent their time answering questions and providing many help documents. Having spent time looking at these and the answers to questions raised, I think (hope!) I completely understand how Eurail pass works.I have also read that some users have had problems with Mobile pass failing at the most inconvenient time.While I am very comfortable with use of technology, such a failure can mean buying expensive tickets to continue our journey.I will get a paper pass. If I link this to the app, does this invalidate the paper pass?If I have paper pass linked to app, I can do all planning and ticketing in app. At the same time, I would complete the journeys section on the paper pass, matching the journeys created in app. If the mobile app does not work, can I show the paper pass for inspection? Thanks for any advice that can be offered

I purchased a 30 day pass which must be activated by May 1, 2023.I plan to travel from April 1, 2023-April 31, 2023.If I want to make reservations now (December 2022), should I activate my pass? If I activate my pass on December 21, 2022 will the 30 days start on December 21, 2022? Or will the 30 days start on my first day of travel which is April 1, 2023?Why is it so difficult to get a clear answer to this question?

Hi we're booked from Strasbourg to Paris est on Jan 4th to arrive at 14.05 .…However I've just realised our eurostar booking from Paris nord leaves at 15.13 …Will that be leaving ourselves too short a time to check in for the Eurostar??And can I change my strasbourg booking to an earlier train or do I have to cancel & rebook?? If I have to cancel what is the cancellation fee ??Many thanks 

I just checked availability on a connection on https://www.interrail.eu/de/book-reservationsBecause the critical connection was available, I bought the interrail pass. Now, if I use an incognito tab, the connection is still available, but with the pass, it shows up as “unavailable”.This is, at best, scammy and bait & switch behavior.

Hi there! I’ve just purchased a 10 days in 2 months global Eurail pass and am nervous to activate it using the app as I’m unsure about the validity period and when that begins. Does it begin the day I activate my pass, or the first day of travel? Thanks!

Dans l’onglet “My Pass” j’ai accès pour chaque jour de voyage je peux cliquer sur “Show Ticket” et un QR code apparait. Cela suffit-il pour monter à bord des différents trains que je dois prendre?De plus, pour les trains où des réservations de places sont requises, comment dois-je m’y prendre?Merci d’avance. :)

Hi there, our paper Global Pass has not arrived, it got to the Dutch border on the 22nd November but then the trail went cold. I dont know what the UK tracking number is, it was due to arrive in early December, and we travel tomorrow evening.Is there any way to contact an actual person in Eurail to try to find out where it has got to? We have pre-bought lots of (often rare) tickets to get up to Northern Sweden, using the pass number we were given in the confirmation/order emails.Can anyone tell us whether if we buy a mobile pass, and then cancel the paper one, we can use the existing paper tickets (bought direct via Eurostar and swedish railways as the Eurail website seemed to fall over lots of time), with the pass ‘number’ listed on the mobile pass? Does the Mobile pass even have a pass number? The paper tickets have ‘only valid with a railcard’ printed on them, but it doesn’t quote a particular pass number. I dont think we’re going to be able to re-buy all the tickets via the app, we

I have eurail global pass. I want to use GET your guide benefit, but my code dosen't work. I am sure I use correct passcode.I found it from email when I order a pass.  there's a message saying Passcode is incorrect. You must provide a valid passcode to view any details for this benefit.  How can I get this benefit? please let me know. 

Hi everyone, we are planning to travel from Germany (Frankfurt) to Sweden (Stockholm). We bought the mobile pass and now face the same issue that many seem to have: our night train from Stockholm arrives on 03.01. in Hamburg. Afterwards the app doesn’t allow us to add a train to Frankfurt because “our inbound journey took place on the 2nd”. And while we cross the border to Germany somewhen on the 3rd, the last stop of the train before Hamburg is in Denmark at around 11pm. Therefore the trick to split the journey doesn’t work. Attached screenshots of our connection. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Many thanks I advance, Tim
