Train connections & reservations

Hi Guys, I will be travelling tomorrow’s from Venice S Lucia Station to Zurich HB with one change at Milano P Garibaldi (10.47 AM)and next train is from Milano Centralle at 11.10 AM.  If any one have idea to reach Milano Centralle in less time from Milano P Garibaldi as we have only 20 mins to reach there. What mode will be best to reach there through walking or by metro??it will be very appreciable if any one suggest us the best way before our tomorrow train. thanksVineet 

Hey,Some users on Twitter but also here in the community have the problem that they do not get informed about the fee to use the DB-ÖBB Eurocity trains to/in Italy. The railplanner app gives some time ago the (wrong) information that you need a reservation, now it writes nothing. The problem now is that DB-ÖBB started to ask an additional fee if you pay the fee on the train.Would be possible to add a notice like please check the special conditions to use this train or something like this? Because how we know only with an Interrail/Eurail Global Pass and an Interrail/Eurail One Country Italy Pass you have to pay, with an Interrail/Eurail German Rail Pass not.  On the Railjet trains Venice-Vienna, there is the compulsory reservation notice, but like via Brenner there is only a compulsory fee needed. We’re trying to figure out our train travel from Milan to Tirano, and most every train listed by the Eurail planner says “Not in Pass network.” Does this mean our Global Pass doesn’t work with these trains, and we need to purchase separate tickets? Also, the Eurail planner says that this trip takes something like eight hours, with many weird changes.And now we’re also trying to find trains from Chur, Switzerland to Munich. We’re encountering the same thing.So the big questions are: How do we find the correct trains and schedules? Will our Global Pass work on these trains once we find the right ones? Are there things I’m not asking that I should know??? Also, if we find trains we think will work on Rail Europe (for instance), how do we make reservations through that site while using our Global Pass?Thank you for any enlightenment you can shed on this matter. Hi all,I've been struggling to find connections from Stockholm to Hamburg on June 17th for my family of two adults and two teenagers with Interrail global passes. Apparently SJ will be doing track works around that time so some departures from Stockholm are still blocked. However on DB website I was able to find the following connections:8.34 X2 425 Stockholm - Göteborg 11.4012.40 R 1095 Göteborg - Copenhagen 16.2917.02 IC 1199 Copenhagen- Hamburg 21.57The SJ website doesn't show the above connection when I search for the whole journey Stockholm - Hamburg, but does however show all three journeys when searched individually. My questions are: 1) Do you think it's safe to assume those trains will be able to run on June 17 since the whole journey does come up on DB website?2) Will the 33 min transfer time in Copenhagen be enough?3) Where to best book seats for those trains? A friend and I were planning on taking the NightJet on 22 Oct from Rome Termini to Munich (in order to get to Cologne), however it appears (on both Eurail and OBB) that NightJet (in addition to any other trains leaving Termini) is not running on weekends or currently is not scheduled for any weekends in Oct. Is this accurate or am I trying to book too early? It seems odd that the entirety of Romes rail network shuts down for an entire weekend with no significant holiday (that I’m aware of). Any advice or reasonable alternatives would be appreciated. We already purchased our passes in anticipation of being able to schedule this train, so we’d rather avoid booking flights if possible.

I wasn’t able to proceed the seat reservation in France and Italy legs. My Trip will be London Paris Interlaken florence rome. Eurostar seat reservation was successful for July 02. The online system let me go until the I click on the  payment button. It showed error and prompted that the leg has error. 

Please help! I’ve been trying to book seats on a train from Bratislava to Budapest and Budapest to Kisvarda. Everytime I try to pay, I fill in my credit card info and I get the prompt: “Something went wrong. Please refresh the page. “EVERY TIME!! I’ve tried booking them seperately and it still happens! Not sure if this is a mistake on my side or the site. Nothing happens when I refresh the page, they just make me do the whole process all over again just for it to end up on the prompt again. What can I do?????I’m doing this on my IPhone btw! 

Hi, i have a question regarding how i can reserve my seat in a train.I have the interrail global pass for 10 days within 2 months. I’m trying to make seat reservations in the app (i have already activated my pass) but i can’t, it says that seat reservations are not included in my pass but they are required on some trains for a small fee. So how can i pay that fee in order to reserve the train?Thank you

I’m a bit late to buying and booking everything, and im leaving for europe in 4 days. Right now im booking the end of my trip and one day i will go from wien to krakow. when i now check to buy the reservations it says it will be sent by post...which wont work for me as i leave home in 4 days :/ is there anything i can do about this or do i just have to wing it and hope there are any seat reservations left when i come to wien and ill buy it at the station?  thank you! :)

So my brother and I will be in Krakow on the 16th of June and will be looking to take either the night train (10:44 PM) to Prague or the 10:43 in the morning of the 17th. According to Eurial and the polish trin site I need to book a reservation for both but on the czech site it only says “free reservation”. What is the best way for me to book a reservation (my brother and I) for one of these trains? We will both have valid Eurail passes at the time we take the train.Thanks for the help.

Hey and I apologize in advance if these questions about reservations are getting annoying but I find it highly confusing and also rather inconvenient. Quick background, I’m using my Interrail ticket for work purposes so I’m unfortunately not as flexible and have to be at certain places at certain times. I’m struggling with the following connections: Ljubljana (Slovenia) to Poland using the EC212 to Vienna and EC100 from Vienna are indicated as ‘prices unavailable’ in the reservation tool (my travel is less than 2 months away and I checked both the Polish and Austrian train operators’ websites, not bookable either) Similar from Poland to Berlin with an IC direct connection ‘Seat reservations unavailable, It seems no price offer is available right now’ - also when I look now at reservations within the next 30 days it's the same issue. How can I make a reservation for these trains? Perhaps at a train station in Austria beforehand? Barcelona

Hello, I have a question. On the app it seems not mandatory to reserve ICE trains to travel in Germany (national connections). But I do not trust the app anymore, too many flaws.Do you know if it is ok just to jump on a ICE without reservation?  ThanksMarco  

Hello, I am trying to book Poznan - Berlin for tomorrow (28/04) at 7.20.On DB is not available.On PKP it is, there are seats in 1/2 class, but I am unable to find the interrail pass option or only reservation option.What am I doing wrong?Somebody did the same booking lately?Any hint? Thank you           

Hi Community, I would like to make a seat reservation from Berlin to Hamburg using DB site.I found the right connection, while trying to book the seat reservation, it requires to fill my adresse details in the payment page.Which made me doubt that the reservation would sent by mail et not digital one by email.So i didn't complet the booking.Would you please advise.Thank you

Hello everybody! I'm planning my first interrail trip and I AM SO EXCITED!! The only thing I'm worried about is that for the train I wanted to catch in Genova to Salerno (Amalfi Coast) it says its only available until August 4. So my question is: Does anyone know if there will be a different train (number) available for that route? So far I found the ICN 799, ICN 797 and the ICN 1963. But neither of them is shown August 22.. Any ideas?  Thank you :) 

Can i just reserve a seat like a month or two in advance without activating my eurail pass if yes then how?

I have read on several websites (and the Interrail website) that there is a discount with Interrail/ Eurail on various ferry routes in Switzerland.I am interested in CGN ferries from Lausanne to France. There is no mention on the CGN website of an Interrail discount. Does anyone know if there is?

HI!I am trying to book a Nightjet from Basel to Bremen and would like a cabin or two as traveling with 5 people. I am going through Eurail’s easy system, but it only shows me “2nd class — Pass - Berth 6 persons” or 2nd class seats as options. I believe there are different cabin types and wondered if anyone had any advice for me on how to find those and book the right one? Thanks much! 

Can anyone help?Whenecer I am trying to get a seat reservation for the eurostar from london to paris I get an error that m pass is not valid on the date even though it is. Did anyone have the same problem so far? I had another pass that has expired a week ago, but have a new one now. Aktivates that one.  

I know you need a purchased pass to make a reservation for Eurostar- but can one pass be used to book two seats?I have a pass already. A friend is buying one (paper pass so delay to get delivered). There are still seats now on the Eurostar train we want, so I am wondering if there is any way to buy two seats with my pass, but for different names, using either the Eurail/interrail booking system or b-europe? 

Hello, guys! I’m planing on going to Lviv or Kyiv but I can’t seem to find any trains to go there, not even from close countries like Bulgaria. I’m in the Netherlands right now and I know it’s like 2 days to get to Ukraine but I just want to know if there is at least one way to get therethanks!

I want to travel form sevilla to lisbon but the interrail site is not showing any connections.I can also travel from madrid to lisbon but there also no connections.

Hello, I plan on the last day of my interrail pass to go from Copenhagen to Paris by train.On DB website it shows the following trip with many short connections. From your experience do you think it will work?My main concern is the first 7' connection in Fredericia. If it doesn’t work the next train will bring me to Hamburg at 14:05 instead of 12:05 and I’m afraid it will be too late to reach Paris, the same day. Do you have any advice if it happens to me as it will be my last of my four days interrail pass? Will DB help me in reaching Paris on the next day?If the first connection in Fredericia works well, I have more flexibility as they're many trains from Hamburg to Mannheim.Then, from Mannheim if I miss the SNCF TGV train at 17:38 I can take DB ICE at 18:38. However, as these are mandatory booking trains do you think I’ll be able to take the DB ICE train instead of the TGV SNCF train?Thanks for all your advices.
