Eurail & Interrail Passes

I’m trying to book tickets for travel to the euros but each time I try to check out this happens… any ideas please? I’ve tried on a different browser too but it still does the same thing! I’ve successfully managed to book other dates without this happening. 

Hi, I am trying to get one of these for the Euros. Despite the sale date being listed as starting today, I am having no luck with any sites for purchasing one. Once selecting buy this pass https://euro2024.interrail.eu/en/go it just seems to reload the same page. Any ideas for this? Or is it just a waiting game? Thanks Dylan

Hi Guys,Just joined this community and trying to get few answers. We are planning a 15 days trip to Europe in April starting from Amsterdam and ending in Rome. We are planning to cover Prague, Munich, Switzerland. Do you recommend that i should get Euro rail pass for inter country travel and local travel inside Switzerland and Italy ? Also Euro rail pass works on RE trains ? Thanks for the help.

I am trying to book a trip from with sleeper car (ex: Prague to Berlin) and it shows regular seats on the nightjet, but not the couchette prices. Even though this train SHOULD have them. Why?Any way around this?  I’ve found other sleeper cars available for other routes (ex: munich > vienna) but not this one.I’ve tried with and without specifying my eurrail pass. On both the nightjet.com site and oebb booking.

Hi,  I am trying to book seats on ICE train from Strasbourg to Paris. I believe the trains starts in Frankfurt. When i try to book seats from Strasbourg to Paris it say "seat booking is impossible at this time". The dates are less than 90 days away. When i try and book it fro  Frankfurt to Paris, its letting me book it. Should i book that and just board from Strasbourg? Many thanks.

Hi all,Before buying a card, I’d like to be sure that it will be interesting for me. I understand that I have to pay for reservation and cabin in night train, so is it really interesting? I don’t know how can I calculate what I have to add ?I would like to travel from Paris to Turku (Finland). It seems the quicker way is to go to Koeln and Hamburg in a day and take the night train to Stockholm (with a cabin booking). Then, I’ll take ferry by night from Stockholm to Turku. Is it included ?I never used interrail and I don’t understand everything.Thanks in advance for your reply.Nb : I have 50 years old and can’t take train. I want to go to Turku as quick as possible and with a night in a cabin on night train.  

I am a resident of the Netherlands. I am planning to get an Interrail pass for 2 months this spring. But that pass comes with just 2 outbound/inbound journeys. However, I want to make multiple trips.The question is: does a journey starting on a border station (the last station before the border) count as an inbound/outbound journey? For example: does taking the train from Breda to Brussels or from Arnhem to Frankfurt count as an outbound journey? According to this example posted on the Interrail website, a journey from Brussels to London St.Pancras does not count as inbound, but the journey from London St.Pancras to Brighton does count. So consistently, a journey from Frankfurt to Arnhem (the first stop in the Netherlands of the ICE) should not count as inbound right? 

I accidently bought an Interrail pass instead of a Eurorail pass. I am not a European citizen and therefore should have the Eurorail pass.I did not notice and I already traveled 2/4 days in Europe using this pass.  Now I am trying to travel and I see that the trips I planned are not possible because of an inbound/outbound rule.  May I switch my pass to the correct pass for Eurorail for the remaining two days? I have used Eurorail before, and purchasing the Interrail was a genuine error.  I should not be able to even purchase this pass as a US citizen. I used my US passport numbers when purchasing the pass.   I travel in 2 days and I contacted the chat using the support but only received automated response answers. What do I do? I need to be able to complete this route. 

Are all trains between Interlaken-Grindlewald-Lauterbrunnen-Interlaken included in the pass? If i use the pass to travel between these stations would it count as 1 day of travel? I will be staying in Grindlewald and exploring surrounding areas only and not sure if i should use my pass or hire a car which is going to be around £500 including petrol+parking etc.thanks

Hi,I bought several Interrail passes and I see only one Order Number in the e-mail (or here at eurail.com) and four Pass numbers. For booking Frecciarossa reservations at https://partners.italiarail.com I need the Order Number for each pass of each traveller, not just one.In the past I could find a link to a site on this website that did the conversion for each Pass number but I can’t find it any more.Does this still work like that?Note that this is horrible in terms of user friendliness, both on the side of Eurail (just provide it if anyone could ever ask it) and on the side of ItaliaRail. Hopefully there is a better way to get my Frecciarossa reservations, but I could not find any yet…TIA!--ReindeR 

Hi all, hoping this helpful community can help me again.I’m trying to book a seat reservation with ItaliaRail but it’s requiring a paper Passholder number and won’t (obviously) accept my mobile pass number.Is there anyway to get a Passholder number that will work?Thanks! Edit to add: I’m just seeing that all of TrenItalia’s booking is down for maintenance right now, and it’s possible the reason all reservations on Eurail’s site just disappeared, is because of this, in which case, I can use Eurail—but would prefer to not be in a bind, so if anyone knows if it’s possible to get a Paper Passholder Number, I’d appreciate it!

I can't make a reservation because the stations in Serbia and Montenegro are not listed, but can I make a reservation for a train by going to the station counter and showing my pass?

Hi Interrailers!My wife was given a 2-month global pass as a great retirement present, for herself and me. I’m still working, however, and taking two months off is a little tricky.So we were looking at the possibility of exchanging it for a one-month pass. Trouble is, it seems that the existing pass would be refunded - to the credit card of my wife’s former employer, which would be very awkward. For my wife, that’s a clear no-no.I was wondering, if i purchased a more expensive package, could i simply pay the extra, and avoid the refund? Does anyone happen to know?Thanks in advance,Badger

1.I already bought Eurail Italy Pass. if i choose a station Chiasso(Switzerland) to Milano Centrale can i use this pass without pay? (from Switzterland i also have Swiss pass).2. I try to use planner in eurail app, I choose Chiasso to Milano Centrale (use filter " pass network only") and they show timetable that I can select, is it can use my eurail Italy pass?

Hi,I'm from Belgium and want to buy an interrail pass traveling 4 days in a month. Can I visit the UK and come back, and then do the same thing for a second time with this pass?Thanks already 

I haven’t used Eurail since 1998!  Are all routes included?  I’d like to travel from Venice to Orta San Giulio to Zermatt.  also wondering about British rail as I’ll be travelling between family members

Folks, can I use the Interrail Pass EURO 2024 to travel around Europe during the euros like a normal inter rail pass. Or am I limited to coming to and from my home country and travelling within germany? Help appreciated 

I’m a NZ & UK dual citizen currently living in Canada. I did Interrail back in 2013 when I lived in London, and from what I remember I couldn’t use it for train journeys WITHIN the UK, but I flew to Denmark and went via Switzerland to Spain anyway so it didn’t matter.This time I’m planning to fly in/out of London and want to do mostly slow travel to get around - bike/ train/ ferry. I want to take a couple trains within the UK/ Ireland probably and then over to mainland Europe + across to probably Eastern Germany/ Denmark/ Sweden. Does the restriction of travel in your “home nation” still apply? Would it be best for me to get Interrail using my UK passport + sister’s address, or Eurail using my NZ passport + Canadian address?Also, if anyone has done interrail/eurail with a bike please give me tips. I have added a journey to My Trips that comrises 3 trains in one day: Perpignan to Lyon Part Dieu (with the Spanish, AVE service), Lyon PD to Lille Europe (TGV), Lille Europe to London (Eurostar) (all on the same day). I have booked a paid for reservations for the last 2 sections, but found that it’s difficult to book the first one (it’s with AVE Renfe). I don’t want to delete the whole journey because of the 2 bookings I’ve paid for. I found an alternative to the first section, using TGV which is easy to book. Can I add that (Perpignan to Lyon with TGV) to My Trip and use that instead of the Perpignan to Lyon AVE? If I don’t use the Perpignan to Lyon AVE, will the next 2 sections in that ‘journey’ be invalid even though I have the reservations?This is my first Eurail experience. I have a lot to learn!

Can someone just confirm for me…Bought my interrail pass today. If I then add my pass to the inter rail app, does it then start the 2 months I’ve got to make my 10 trips.  Also, do I actually need to book trains, if they don’t have a seat reservation mandatory. Can I just jump in the train and show my interrail pass? I don’t have to book anywhere before hand. I know I can use the Deutsche Bahn app to book just seats when I need to, but I’m guessing I don’t have to do anything other than that, just show up when my trains due, and book a seat if needed?
