Hi, after a fab reply to my initial question last week about booking train from London to Salzburg I have gone onto www.raileurope.com to see if tickets are available ( I think it might be next Sunday they are out?).I went onto rail passes ( rather than train tickets) to book 9.01 from St Pancras’s to Brussels. Nothing seems to come up to enter interail pass ) just railcards). It just tells you full price of ticket. Is this because the tickets with an interail pass are still not available yet? Also can I book my return at same time for Sat 10th August from Brussels to London. ( is it cheaper?) or can I only book two singles?I want to be fully prepared for when the seats do become available. Many thanks 🙏
Pls help, I am worried about my route and connecting. Seems route is joining local trains and is not an international route. Are the stops & connecting time’s realistic? They seem so short to me.Is the route and arrival at the stations safe esp during the times with small kids? Is there a way to get another route? What options do I have for someone travelling tomorrow? Is it better to book flights? Is this route worth it? Hello All! Great Community! I have a very quick question regarding the possibility of my weekend trip:A 4 day global pass is needed for the following:-Friday: Frankfurt - Zürich-Saturday: Zürich - Zermatt-Sunday: Zermatt - Frankfurt (with stop in Zürich)(with one day to spare). And as I have seen I can use any trains for these trips right? Even the ICE for Frankfurt to Zürich as an example. (As long as they show up when I search using the interrail search engine). If I just take the trip Zürich - Zermatt and back a one-country pass would be enough right? (Making sure I understood correctly). Thank you very much in advance!
OK this is an issue I've run into. How do I book a seats on this train. Eurail system is not offering any clear advice. Can somepee please help?
Hi, I am planning a trip with a friend to go to Norway with interrail. We cant seem to figure out the best way to get from Amsterdam to Oslo. We want to visit Bergen, Geirangerfjord, Trondheim. First is this doable in a week /9 days? Secondly, how do we get to oslo as best as possible? We are looking into night trains as well. What do yall recommend? If possible, shoot me a private message!
Is it not possible to choose your own seats when booking for italian trains at öbb? I only get an option, that they will make the reservations. /Karina
Can i get from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Lille with a Eurail pass?
Hello,I am a first at trying to plan a trip on a train with sister and husband. I want to delete what I do not want to reserve after entering a few departure times and need to know how. Our pass in inactive and the entries I am talking about were entered manually.Thank you
Hi,Trying to book 3 seats for 9.01 (0r 8.34) it changes!, for Saturday 19th July from London St Pancras to Salzburg. I am desperate to start reserving seats as mum going Interrailing for 3 weeks with my teenage girls and want to get it all confirmed. I realise the final two parts of the journey on German trains are (I think) not available to book yet.But tried to book first leg of journey (London to Brussels Midi and Brussels Midi to Frankfurt), remembering to reserve seats, and it all goes through until payment. Then will not let me, says error with part of journey. Is it just that the seats are still not available to book yet? I don't want it to fill up. I also tried to book our journey home 3 weeks later on Friday 9th August, overnight Nightjet train from Vienna to London and similar thing happened, this was on the OBB website using Method 1 (as explained on Man in seat 61, a life saver for many!)I would be grateful for any reassurance!
Hi everyone. The Interrail/Eurail website has consistently been telling me that reservations for this service open 90 days prior to travel date, in my case 22 October. Reservations therefore ‘opened’ a couple of days ago yet the only option I am given on Interrail is a second class seat and, on OBB, the option to reserve a section of the seating compartment. From others’ knowledge and experience, will the sleeping berths have sold out, which seems increasingly likely as tickets look like they’ve been available on OBB for months! If this is the case then the reservations section on the Interrail website contains misleading information. Many thanks Richard
Hello! I have a question about the Eurail Global Pass! I am planning to use the Eurail Global Pass for 10 days starting Feb 2. However, when I made my reservation I mistyped my name with two capital letters "TOmohiro" instead of "Tomohiro". Will this interfere with my use of Eurail in Europe?
Hi All, We have some queries regarding Euro Rail. How do we activate this Pass? Can we travel on the local trains within the city by this ticket? If I have to book seats, do I need to book it on the regional train websites ?

Hi !I’m going to travel for the first time with an interrail pass : from France to Stockholm, Narvik, the down the norwegian coast to Oslo and Copenhagen. Departure on feB 17th.I bought the pass in november and installed it on my mobile but the phone broke. I bought a new one, evereything seemed fine so I installed the app and transfered my pass. But then, after a few days, I do not have a connection anymore : neither by the SIM card, nor the 4/5G.The pass is still not activated.Could I transfer it again to another phone, given that it’s not activated yet ? I read can you can only transfer once but I don’t know if it only applies when the pass is activated…Starting to get a bit anxious about it…Thanks !Franck.

It’s a special time of year! Twice annually, the European Railway Carriers release an updated timetable, making the second Sunday of December feel a little like New Year’s for train travellers. This release includes new routes, connections, services, and more. We have been eagerly anticipating how this timetable update will top previous releases. Well, the time has come, and we are thrilled to share the 10 most impactful improvements! New night trains: Starting from Brussels or Paris to BerlinThe latest additions to the ÖBB Nightjet routes will connect Brussels and Paris to Berlin. The direct night train service between Berlin and Paris, previously known as City Night Line, last operated in 2014. Travellers missed this night route, and we are pleased that passengers can travel it again three times per week. The Brussels to Berlin route runs six days per week, with both European Sleeper and the Nightjet running three times each on different days. Hello Community,I will be traveling to Switzerland this March for 5 days enroute to London. My aged mother will be accompanying me and so I want to plan and understand things well. I am looking to go to some picturesque place in Nature, away from the city, to spend 3-4 days in the Swiss countryside.Q : What place would you recommend which fits the above criteria? For now I am thinking of - Day 1 - Arrival at ZurichDay 1 - Travel from Zurich to GrindelwaldDay 2 - Grindelwald exploring Day 3 - Travel to Interlaken Day 4 - GrindelwaldDay 5 - Travel to Zurich and departure to LondonThe above includes train travel to Grindelwald and back to Zurich, and also local travel between Interlaken and boat rides. Q: Given the above, should I buy individual tickets for everything?Would it be better option to opt for Swiss Pass (3 days flexi)Would a Eurail global pass be a better option; and will it permit me to travel from Zurich to London by train?Any advice on the above will be gratefully received.G
We noticed that these are the available train routes. Are we restricted to these tracks, or is it possible for us to travel by train to different cities on lines that are not connected to the yellow line? The yellow line is a specific train line that runs between capital cities. However, there are many other train lines that run throughout Europe, and you can travel to many different cities on these lines.
What is the quickest route from London to Pisa?
Hello, I made a purchase of my tickets and reservation in DB . I received an email indicating that there was a change in the schedule of my trains, the change is only 20 minutes earlier, the train numbers remain the same, but they tell me to check if my tickets are still valid. I have tried to contact the company and they do not respond, could someone help me and clarify if they are valid or not and if I just have to present my same printed ticket that I bought and I will not have a problem?
Hi!I am looking for travel buddy to explore Europe between May and September 2024 with 7-day pass (Saxorail winner, if you know what that means). I am 25F living in Germany. I like to explore historical architecture and museums. It would be nice to visit several countries together with someone to share experience and travel costs.I would really like to visit Italy and France, but I am flexible.
Good day, I am visiting France and Swiss, Going to Mont Blanc, Jungfrau, Mt Pilatus Which cable/tram rides have discounted rates with the Eurail pass, will be taking the multicity pass for 4 days.
I plan on visiting London, Paris and Barcelona with my family (10 yr old, 6 yr old) and was thinking I would fly to Paris return and then take a return Chunnel to London and an overnight sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona and back. Can anyone suggest if there is a better approach - e.g. using low cost airlines? How do I go about pre-booking a sleeper for my family in advance … and which train - e.g. Eurostar? Thanks, any guidance appreciated! -Ariel
I have been looking on Rail Europe for trains - and the information is different on this website than on the interrail app. Train from Bruxelles-midi to Koeln Hbf 24th July 2024 16.23 arr 18.15. I am struggling to get a Eurostar seat booking for this. So trains without seat bookings:On the interrail it states you go to Liege-Guillemins with ICE 317 first, and then to AachenHbf and then Koeln Hbfon Rail Europe ICE 317 is a direct train to Koeln Hbf and I do not need a seat reservation.Do you know which is correct??? Very different trains?
Hi all,I wondered if anyone has any information on the construction work that is scheduled to take place in Italy between Villach Hbf and Carnia and which is impacting the Nightjet service (NJ237) from Munich to Venice in July. I’m looking to take this train on Weds 17th July - currently the train is not available for reservation however the previous week can be reserved and shows a message that a “rail replacement bus service” will be in operation (not exactly ideal for a sleeper train...):This message is currently showing for the trains departing on the 10th and 11th July, train from the 12th onwards are not open for reservation and haven’t been for the past 2 weeks.Does anyone know how long this work is expected to last? I contacted OBB through their website about this and have not had a response.cheers,Nick
