ID Document for mobile pass - ID Card or Residence ID?
Hi @ all -- I have a question about the ID document for the mobile Interrail pass. Following situation:I have a Swiss residence permit (Swiss residence ID) and I am a German citizen (German ID card, no first or second residence address on the ID). Swiss residence ID contains information about my name, birth date, has a passport photo, a specific ID identification number and contains biometric data. My question is: Which ID document do I link to my mobile Interrail pass? German ID or Swiss residence ID?Thanks for your help!
When booking reservations with Passes purchased in 2020 with covid extension - it says ''expired''
I purchased sone interrail tickets for me and my family back in December 2020. Obviously because of COVID they were not used and I received an email from Interrail in May 2021 saying their validity would be extended until August 2022. I am now trying to make some reservations and it is saying they are expired?! I have tried contacting Interrail via the online form, and making an email firstname.lastname@example.org but all I get in return is an automated email acknowledging my email but no follow up response (it is now a week since I first contacted). Can anyone help with the original problem of why the passes have expired …. or help me with how to get through to a human who can help with this problem eg. a phone number. Thanks
Bookings and reservations and journey planning with a group
Hi, I am a first time eurail user from Australia! Just bought a eurail pass for myself and 3 others. Having a bit of trouble figuring out the best way to make train reservations and link the pass to a journey. I have a few questions I would love answered. Once I link the pass to a trip created on the app, am I then able to edit or unlink the pass? How can I make reservations for train seats and sleepers for overnight trains without getting charged more than necessary, on an external website? Ie. is there something I can use to put in a code for my pass or something? I have a 7 day in a month pass, how does the eurail pass know the maximum journey cap and calculate it? Is it possible to then for example overbook an extra train/day and then get charged extra (want to avoid this)? I bought tickets for all 4 of us, but we will be on the same journey. What is the best way to go about booking for all of us and using the passes, should we all just input the same trip onto seperate phones and
When does the 2 months start?
Hi, I bought a 2 months pass yesterday, and I entered the pass id in the application to see if everything is fine. BUT the app is showing that the pass has been activated. My question is when does that 2 months start? Has that period already started?! I just added the pass no., and I haven’t completed adding a trip and adding ID number sections.thanks
No travel days left, haven't even started my trip
It doesn’t say that I have used up my inbound/outbound journeys,but I still get the ‘’no travel days left’’ message when I’m trying to book my outbound trip. Any explanation?Edit: In the app it said that it might be because my pass is expired but I literally bought it yesterday and it says in the app that it’s valid from June 10th to August 9th. It’s May.Edit 2: Don’t know what happened, it just magically started working. Issue resolved I guess?
How can I delete trips on the website?
As is already covered in another topic, the “trip” concept in the Rail Planner app and on the website are not connected. Which is OK I guess, as long as you are aware.But for some reason I seem to have created several unnecessary trips on the website. They all have me as passenger. I can’t delete myself from the trips, and I can’t delete a trip before I have deleted the passenger(s). Huh? Should I just give up and let them be there, perhaps rename the bogus trips to something obvious so that I know to not get distracted by them in the future?
Sale extended for Eurail?
The website crashed while I was purchasing my 2x Eurail tickets for the 50% sale! I can see that the UK reseller has extended their sale, but as I live in Australia I can’t purchase of their site (I think). How can I purchase a sale ticket as a resident of Australi if the website keeps crashing:(
How to get the QR/barcode ?
Hi, I’m new to Interrail. My trip starts 9 June. Presently on My Trip there is no Show Ticket. I guess you can only get the barcode /QR on the Travel Day? On My Trip it says Now travelling ?? On My Pass it says Ready for travel. Help, advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Activated pass too early
I activated my pass the day I flew out to first destination, thinking I needed to know how to use it etc before getting to a station - but didn’t realise that by doing this it would use a day! I’m now a day short of travel. Can I get this back? I didn’t go on any journeys that day..?
Request refund for non refundable Interrail Mobile Pass due to accident and inability to travel
Dear Interrail Team, I need your help. I am a single mother from Turkey, Istanbul. I was planning to introduce European culture and history to my kids this summer. Therefore two days ago I purchased one month long global passes during flash sale. However the day after my purchase I had an accident and I multifractured my ankle. I had an operation and I am in cast now. The doctors tell me that it is impossible for me to heal completely until July when I was planning to use the passes . I will not be back to work even in August. I know that passes are usable for 11 months. However I am teaching literature in high school. This coming July is the only time I can travel. As I am a single parent I don't have anyone else who can take my kids instead of me either. Even though I am aware that these passes are unrefundable, I am asking for an exception because of my extraordinary circumstance. I would be extremely thankful if I am allowed to return these passes and get refunded.Thanks for your

Wrong date of birth on my Interrail pass
Hello, I have just noticed that the date of birth is incorrect on my interrail pass which I just bought and I am about to start travelling in one week. How to go from Thessaloniki to Sofia
Hi guysMy boyfriend an I want to go from Thessaloniki to Sofia but we can't manage to find a way to do it. It seems that there is no train between these 2 cities ? What should I do if the system won't let me cancel my tickets?
I need help in cancelling my tickets so I can buy new ones for a shorter amount of time. However, whenever I try to cancel, the system just says “Sorry, something went wrong with your refund. Please try again, or contact customer service if this keeps happening.” I’ve tried multiple the last few hours, with no change. Customer service does not seem to respond in a timely manner either, which is why I’m just cancelling the tickets instead of exchanging them. Please note these are mobile passes, not paper ones. I would really appreciate some help, thanks!
Booking seat reservation with friends automatically shown on our phone?
Hi, me and my 2 friends (3 of us in total) bought our tickets separately. However, we’ve added our seats together for our trip. When I try and make seat reservations it charges me for 3 people. Do the seat reservations automatically upload to their own phone or to mine? Thanks
Country of residence in another country than the ID card
Hello,I mainly live in Austria because I work and study here.But my ID card is german and the address on it is the german address of my parents which is my secondary address.I have bought a Interrail E-Pass few days ago with my austrian address and now I have read that you must add the ID card to the Interrail app, can there be any problems while activating the pass then?Is there a normal up to date austrian registration certificate enough to prove my austrian main residence and are there any important things that I should know before activating the E-Pass or while traveling?Kind regards.
