Hi Everyone,I shall be travelling for the first time to Europe for work purposes and extended a bit for some personal travel. So I start on the 18th May 2024 morning from Geneva going to Paris. 2 nights stay in Paris and then I move to Lucern sometime around noon on the 20th of May3 nights in Lucern and then to Venice on 23rd Morning. 2 nights in Venice & then I fly backI am seeking guidance on the below :Should I opt for 4 day Eurail pass or 5 day pass ?When I book on the Eurail page, I start from Geneva. However the website shows my reservation as 1-night in Geneva & 1 night in Paris. Whereas I shall actually be staying for 2 nights in Paris ? If i activate my pass on 18th May morning, should I consider that 1-day pass will end at 23:59 hrs same day ? For local travel/sightseeing in Paris,Lucern & Venice can I use the Eurail pass in public transport ? Any additional suggestions regarding any particular trains to catch for this journeyI shall be extremely grateful if someo

Hello,I am finding the P&O website impossible to use. I want to cross the Channel on May 21. Directferries gives the time of the only departures available as 06:40 and 8:20, but my date and any other date I enter is labelled Sold out! This is clearly impossible, and so I am willing to arrive to Calais as early as I can by train from Lille, hoping to get a bus there from Calais Ville to the ferry port, or if necessary a taxi.Are there any later ferries? That would help.Is this doable? Thank you for your help,Brian. 

The website from Interrail shows my itinerary and also shows that no reservation is needed. However, my app on my mobile phone says that this route can not be found. What does it mean?Why is there this discrepancy? Thanks

Seat Reservation’s in Romania. Is it easy to book seat reservation’s for mobile pass holders at train stations in Romania?

We want to travel from Rotterdam to Bucharest, starting on July 15. Two adults and a child of 7 years old. We would like to take at least 1 nighttrain. We can travel via Berlin or via Vienna, both seem fine. However, anyway we look, we can only seem to make seat reservations in nighttrains. Both here on interrail, as for example with Deutsche Bahn or OBB. We really want to be able to sleep in these nightyets. That was part of the reason why we want to travel by train. We already checked: Outbound journey (bahn.de) Trip planner - ÖBB (oebb.at) Wien › BUCURESTI (oebbtickets.at)Can anyone give us advice on what to do? I am now trying to make reservations on 2 AVI trains and doing this from Montpellier in France :-  First train (AVI 9730) from Montpellier in France to Madrid- Second train /AVI4175) from Madrid to Santiago de CompostelaI have just been to the train station in Montpellier and expecting to be able to make the reservation here for at least the first of the 2 trains. However the answer was ‘no’ in the ticket office there suggesting me that I go to the RENFE website and make the reservation there. When doing that, I am also being told that this will not be possible and suggest that I go to the train station on the day& time of my preferred train and here try to find out with the train personnel, if any seats are still  or not, and if not take a train not having seat reservation requirements to as big station inside Spain, and then do the seat reservation(s) from these. My question is : Isn’t there another way to make such seat reservation on these AVI trains more smooth ? Kind regards.

I heard that the Brienz Lake boat tour from Interlaken is also covered in the Interrail pass. Do I need to reserve a seat/book? Is it usually in full capacity on summer? I’m thinking of taking the boat around 4 pm 

I bought a watch in Zurich (more than 300 chf) but I am leaving Europe from Paris, not Switzerland. My train to Paris is from Zurich HB tomorrow early morning. Do they have a tax refund place in Zurich HB? What is the process? How much time do I need for this purpose?

I’ve been trying to book something in France for the better part of a week and I keep getting the notification on the top of the page that it’s not working. What's an alternative way to make French train reservations with a US credit card? It says 'Prices temporarily unavailable. Check back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservation.' And it has for a while now. Purchased a Interrail pass for myself & my son yesterday for our trip to Germany from UK at the end of June. Managed to add the route to “my trip” & purchased the seat reservation for Eurostar through interrail website. When I go on my reservations it says “more details required” but I’ve done all that on the Eurostar website & have received my e-ticket via email so not sure why I’m still getting that message.Also couldn’t book seat reservation on high speed train from Brussels via interrail so had to do on DB website, will I just need to show email confirmation of seat reservation on that train if asked?Apologies for the long winded question but I’ve been having real difficulties with this since early yesterday.

I will be going to Switzerland in the summer (might re-visit for winter again), hence for this trip, I am really interested in the Brienz Rothorn Bahn as I think going on winter won’t have the same scenery.  But it’s pretty pricey (return trip is 96 CHF, is it not covered by interrail, not even a discount?), is it really worth it? The cable car to the top of Zermatt is almost similar price even. Any suggestion or maybe there are other more affordable steam trains for interrail holders? Addition: is it possible to get one way up, then hike down? or would that be too much of a hike Thank you!

I need recommendation on which panoramic train/(s) to choose from in Switzerland as eurail holders (travelling at 23-26 July): here is our rough planned itinerary for now (the one colored blue are the one we’re going to activate our eurail passes)The one trip i am most indecisive with panoramic train i think would be our last trip from interlaken to Venezia Mestre. I’m considering this routes:Interlaken - Lucerne (Zentralbahn) reservation optional, 16 euro  then followed by Lucerne > Bellinzona > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre St. Moritz - Tirano (Bernina Express) reservation 33 euro then followed by Tirano - Colico > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre  my questions are:I heard the Zentralbahn route is also really nice with the Lake Brienz view. Hi, I will be travelling between my country of residence (UK) and the EU 3 times during 1.5 months and wondering if there is some option that allows multiple entry-exits from one’s country of residence? I had considered getting a Eurail pass, but don’t think I’ll be allowed to long-term.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

From Melbourne, Australia, I am travelling mid June 2023 from Roma Fiumicino Airport train station (as staying near there) to Castiglion Fiorentico (via Roma Tiburtina is the way I am advised)Eurail website https://www.eurail.com/en/help/interested-in-eurailing/which-trains-are-included-in-the-pass states that Trenetalia Italian trains ARE included under Eurail Pass.The Roma Fiumicino Airport rail stn to Roma Tiburtina leg of trip seems not covered and not managed by Trenetalia.But Trenetalia operate Roma Tiburtina to Castiglion Fiorentico (per their website https://www.lefrecce.it/Channels.Website.WEB/#/search-results?handoff=true&referrer=www.trenitalia.com) so can I use my 7 day Eurail Pass investment - with no seat reservation ?The Eurail Pass site when searching simply comes up with NO train service found Roma Tiburtina to Castiglion Fiorentico 26/6/23 - unhelpful to me.  Tony Harding

I bought a mobile Eurail Pass "7 days in 1 month 2nd class" for the first time. I’ll be in Europe from May 6th to May 22nd and I’ll take trains in 7 days within that period:a. With mandatory reservation, for example Eurostar (I already bought the tickets paying a discount).b. No mandatory reservation (I still bought the tickets to reserve a seat).c. We will use our Global 1st class EURAIL pass for the first time on 07 May. We are using the rail planner app and have planned a trip from Paris Gare de Lyon to Mulhouse Ville. Seat reservations are required and we have booked seats and printed the confirmation. We are seniors and have not travelled with a EURAIL pass previously. We will take the train from Chatelet Les Halles to Gare de Lyon (I don’t believe that I can use the EURAIL pass for this trip. Please confirm that this is the case). My question is about what we need to do when we get to Paris Gare de Lyon. Who/Where do we present our mobile pass? We do not speak French and do not want to miss our train. I am sure that there will be people at the station who can help us but I would like to know in advance what to do. Thank you for your assistance. 

Hello everyone, I am travelling to the UK for the first time and also making use of the eurail global mobile pass for the first time and would like to know how to add the exact train that I have booked seat reservation on, to my trips in my mobile pass. From what I can see, the mobile pass only shows you timings of the trains between two places and there is no information such as train number etc. written anywhere on the railplanner app. I have booked my seat reservation from Edinburgh to London on LNER website by matching the timetable on the rail planner app to that of the LNER website. How do I ensure that my seat reservations are on the exact train that I have added to my pass?

Hiii, Me and my friend, both 18 years old, are planning to do our first trip together this summer. We want to go in september for two weeks and since we are students we´re on a low budget so we´re thinking of going to east Europe. Maybe Vienna, Budapest, etc. We would be leaving from antwerp.If anyone has any tips or destination ideas, please let us know because we are looking forward to a new adventure but a little inexperienced. :) 

Booking from Bucharest to Budapest for June. Reservation gets added to my cart but then I get the error message ‘Technical issues: some trains can't be booked with us right now. See other ways to book here. Please check again shortly!’ Is this a bug or a feature? I can book direct via the Romanian operator so there is space available. Any ideas if this is an issue with the interface with the Romanian operator that might be sorted shortly or do i book direct?

Hello everyone, I am receiving a warning that I need to add some locations manually in the Rail Planner application for the mobile pass. Not being able to see the train services in the application worries me. Could you please share your experiences with me about this issue and traveling to the Baltic countries.
