I have read previous chats on booking seats on this journey, but those chats were over a year ago.we are a couple with 3 mth Eurail pass.can you book a reserved seat for the Zagreb to Split train on 13 June 2024 departing Zagreb in the morning 0707 arriving Split 1400.if so where (train company/app) and how do I do this? thanks jon

the railplanner app and the railplanner on the website does’t seem to know Sant-Malo in france.i used the france name aswel as the bretons name.how can i make a ticket if interrail does't know the city?thank you in advance

Good evening,I booked a seat reservation through Eurail, I have a global 15 day pass. Entered in all the information, payed. I was allocated seat 21 and my wife seat 24. No choice of seats was given, is this normal when booking seat reservation via Eurail. Cheers. 

If I buy a 4 day travel pass AND I have activated it/used the first day, do I have to use the pass every time I travel during that period? (Would I have to use a travel day every time I travel on one of the trains during the activation period?) Or could I still buy a single use ticket for a particular day and save the remaining travel pass days for future use? This might happen if I want to take a quick regional train where a ticket would be inexpensive, so it might make sense to save the travel days for a longer more expensive trip. thanks

Hi, I have made seats reservation on raileurope and received the tickets, but upon entering the reference number on SNCF site, they directed me to SNCF Voyageurs site, and told me that “Your ticket could not be imported. Please check the travel information provided.” What can I do now to verify the tickets? Is my reservation valid?

Morning i booked seat reservations for my wife and I using DB app.  I have an invoice but I have not been issued with a QR code. Is this normal?  What do I need to show the conductor? Trip is between Vienna- Breclav and Breclav - Praha on 2 June.  I have seat reservation numbers for both legs. just know Barcode received and no email pass received. We have a 3 mth global pass. thanks jon

Interrail Passholder Eurostar fares to Rotterdam are more than 35 Euros (via RailEurope), is this due to split journey, change at Brussels? And how can I get the published 35 Euros Passholder fare please?NB For July 2nd 13.00 Rott booking (testing showed the usual Brussels 30 Euros Passholder fare was available).Many thanks.

Good morning,I have just purchased 2 x 15 day Eurail passes.  I have added them to my phone, but not activated them.  When I checked my first journey, there was not tick box or slide to add the journey to the pass. Will this become available Once I have activated the pass? And secondly, I not due to travel for a month, can I activate my pass to test, then deactivate it?Thanks. Adam  

Hello! I’m new here and have a few questions on how this eurail works. 😅We’re flying into Lisbon and traveling to Lagos and then Porto and then over to Barcelona. We have to get the global eurail pass since we’re traveling between two countries, correct? How do we choose the ‘high speed train’ or ‘AVE’ in order to shorten our travel time? We essentially need to choose enough travel days for our pass in order to cover every day we take the train, correct? The days we use the train twice in one day will only count as 1 travel day. And the days we stay put and don’t use a train, we won’t need a travel day for? Thank you so much for you help!!! 

Dear travelers,  After a good experience last year me and my family will be travelling by train (interrail) again this year. We plan to travel from Utrecht to Wien by Nightjet 40421 on the 7th of juli. I want to book a couchette for 4 persons in the Nightjet, but somehow I also have to pay 39,60 euro for Sparscheine Komfort. If I remember correctly I didn't have to pay that last year, just the reservation for the couchette and the extra amount for 4 persons. Does anyone here know why that is? Because of the Euro 2024? Thanks in advance for information!

Should I take Euro rail pass or Inter rail? 2. Will the trains be operational on those two days, as its Easter eve?3. Should I take one country pass or Global pass?    3.1 If I take Global pass, i need not take separate ticket in-bound and out-bound from Italy?4. Is reservations required?5. Can I board any train at anytime with the rail pass?Also Please share an app/website to check the price to travel within Italy, like SBB.Is there any day pass which could be utilised for a zone/town visit via other means of transport like bus or tram/ ferry.Thank you.  

Hi, just wanted to check if anyone here has used the Eurail pass to travel from Edinburgh - Frankfurt/Mannheim I am considering between 3 optionsOption 1:0540 - 0940 Edinburgh - London(1h 24min transfer & check in)1104 - 1405 London - Brussels1425 - 1740 Brussels - Frankfurt Option 2:0540 - 0940 Edinburgh - London(1h 51min transfer & check in)1131 - 1453 London - Paris1555 - 1826 Paris to Karlsruhe1826 - 1958 Karlsruhe to Frankfurt Option 3:0540 - 0940 Edinburgh - London(1h 51min transfer & check in)1131 - 1453 London - Paris1709 - 2059 Paris - Frankfurt There will be extra seat reservations if I travel via Paris. I am keen to travel via Brussels, but am afraid of the “short’ transfer time given that I am travelling out of UK (security and customs check). I’m also quite afraid that the ICE train at Brussels would be delayed/cancelled as it seems quite common upon checking the train history. What do you think? Which option would you choose? Let me know!

Hi there! I’m from Argentina. I just got a pass for 5 days in may. I’m starting from Switzerland and need to travel to Ghent Belgium afterwards. I tried googling and searching but couldn’t find out what is the best way to get there. Is Google Maps public transport mode reliable? Because it tells me to do like 5 combinations, is there no direct way from one country to another?Besides this case, how can I know, for each city, which trains and destinations are available?Also, if I understand well, the pass doesn’t guarantee any seats, right? So if I don’t reserve seats and the train is full I lose it or travel standing up?Sorry I am really lost, if anyone could point me to some useful articles I would be really grateful. 

Hello, i accidently put the wrong gender on my son’s pass.I choose “Ms.” instead of “Mr.” so, it stated his gender is female.Would it be a problem for the trips?

Hi.I have never travelled on a Eurail pass before.When I am in the process of changing trains and following my itinerary, (e.g. I only have 20 minutes between alighting the first train and then boarding the second train), where I am changing trains at a large railway station with lots of platforms. How will I know which platform to board my second train? Will the platform number be mentioned on my itinerary? Are the platform numbers of soon departing trains mentioned on all of the platforms where people are alighting? It is very important for me to know, especially if I have a seat booking on the second or third train.Please give me some ideas.

Hi. I’m new to trains. I purchased a 15 day pass and booked a train on Eurostar from France to Rotterdam. My email is telling me to bring a reduction card. I don’t have one and can’t get one where I’m living (Central America). I thought I could just use the app but not sure what to do. I have the barcode for the Eurostar but not sure how to get it onto my Eurail app. I am traveling to Europe in May.Thank you for any help in this matter. •  2 x Adult with fare RailPass Standard+ Eurail 1st classPlease make sure you have your reduction card with you during your journey.

If seat reservations are optional and we choose to not reserve a seat (we have a 1st class Global pass), how do we know where to sit ie. what seats have been reserved and what seats are vacant (not reserved). Just wondering about this and know that the Community can assist. 

Hello everyone,I am currently travelling, trying to make my way down from zagreb to split. i have my eurail pass already, so im looking to only book the seat reservation. when i attempt to do so online, eurail website states my only way is though a paper ticket. since i’m not home, it’s impossible for me to receive a paper ticket, so an eticket is my only option. the same issue also arises when attempting to get from gyoer to zagreb. is there a way around this? thanks!

I want yo make s reservation for the Eurostar Brussels to London. Going through the process I suddenly get charged €4 extra for a mobile ticket which I don't want. Is there a trick around this. I can't find how it comes to this. I thought i would get an email with the bar code to copy and use. Anybody got a suggestion?Many thanks Jetmum
