HiA few days ago I purchase a one-country (France) Eurail pass.I used this link below to create a pass cover https://www.eurail.com/en/book-reservations#/generatePassCoverNumberhowever when I tried to use it on this page to purchase 3 seat reservations, it didn’t work for me. Also I’ve tried to generate a new pass cover #, it provided one but again, still I couldn’t proceed with the purchase.Luckily I had 2 other travellers so I used one of their pass ref# to generate a pass cover # and managed to use it for the purchase. (I used this pass cover # in 3 boxes on the online form) Has anyone encountered such issues? Should I be concerned? 

HiI've used this site https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv#TravelWish but I can't see TGV 5537 for May 13 2024 (14:05 Colmar to 17:56 Lyon on Rail Planner app. Therefore I cannot add this journey to my Trip in the app. On RailPlanner app I only see -  TGV 2239 running the same time and same route.On Rail Europe.com & Trainline.com, you see both TGV 5537 & TGV 2239 Does anyone know why this is happening? How can I rectify the situation?Thank you.

HiWith the help of fellow Eurail community members, I was able to purchase seat reservation for May 11 CDG to Strasbourg. I couldn’t find Eurail France pass 2nd class, so I chose Eurail Global Pass 2nd class and bought 3 seat reservations.Help Rail Europe replied with the following: Please note that you have a single country pass, due to which you won't be able to book the seat reservation on our website, as we do not have the option to add a single country pass currently on our website.  Is it true that I can’t purchase seat reservation from Rail Europe with my Eurail France pass 2nd class?Does anyone know how refund works with Rail Europe? [I’ve since found the cancellation option inside the app and have requested that.]Please help!Thank you

we were looking to go from Lithuania (Vilnius or Kaunas) to Krakow Poland by train. Online we saw like 4 or 5 trains going there, but through the app there is none. what could be the problem?

This ferry trip has a discount in Ferry Grimaldi lines. The Eurail pass needs to be activated to get the discount. Does the ferry trip count as a EURAIL PASS TRAVEL  DAY ?Does the pass remain active for the given period ( 1 month etc ….) after the Eurail pass was used once ?Will the pass need to be activated specifically for the ferry trip ? Can the RailPlanner app be used for activation ot the Eurail pass, IF NECESSARY please ?

Hi, I bought my pass and my traveling companion’s pass at the same time.  I can now attach my pass to the mobile app, but she can’t.  What do we do?She wants to be able to control her own tickets with her own pass.  

Hi, I just bought my eurail global pass and and I’m trying to figure out how to make a reservation. I’m using my first travel day to go from Barcelona to Marseille on late march, I’m aware it is required to book a seat reservation for an extra fee but here it says “Not available from Eurail.com This seat reservation can’t be booked on our website.” so I need help, does anyone what can I do to book my seat? How can I know which rail company this train belong to so I can access their website?

I would like to book a trip Paris to London and just need to ensure I understand the rules. I have a Eurail 15 day 1st class pass. The way I understand it is that if I need to re-schedule, then the “Minimum 20 EUR per person exchange fee shall be levied for exchanging reservations in Standard Premier class” Is that right?

In March my family and I will be traveling from London (St. Pancras) to Berlin HBF via Brussels Zuid and Koeln. I am attempting to purchase tickets for the leg from Brussels Zuid to Koeln HBF using my Eurail Global Pass - 1st class. However, every time I add that leg to my journey I get an error and I cannot buy the passes. Help?

Hi! I am planning to do an Interrail trip for 4 days in May.I saw that seat reservations are optional on some journeys.In these cases, is there any risk that the train will be full and I won't be able to board if I don't have a reserved seat?Thank you for your help!

I’ve been looking at the trains from Salzburg to Vienna on 29th April 2024 on the OBB websute and this message has come up.Construction work - Train cannot runLinz/Donau Hbf <=> Wels HbfDue to construction work some local-trains cannot operate between Linz/Donau Hbf and Wels Hbf/Attnang-Puchheim Bahnhof from 29/04/2024 through 29/06/2024.We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.There seem to be a mix of trains in the search results - Railjets (marked in red)  and some marked WB (in blue). The WB trains stop at Westbahnhof - are these the local trains referred to in the warning message? If so, does this mean the Railjets will run according to the timetable? Many thanks

I am arriving in the evening 10th july in Bari.The next day I take the ferry to Patras. Do I need to put in a travel day on the 11th with the ferry, since I didn't use my interrail pass to get a discount on the ferry? I paid for a cabin without any interrail discount. I will again use a travel day on the 12.th where I arrive in the morning, and travel from Patras to Pireaus. Is that ok? Or does the travel need to be continuous?/Karina

Hello!  We are flying into Paris and immediately taking a train to Zurich to stay in Switzerland most of our trip, and return back to Paris for our flight back. Does the Eurail (one country,France) travel pass cover the train from Paris to Basel, and on the way back from Basel to Paris? We are getting the Swiss travel pass so im covered in Switzerland. I booked seats from London to Paris and paid for the seat reservation. I would like to change the time we leave.  Do I make this change on the app,or do I need to login to Eurail.com? Is this even possible to do with my Eurail Pass?

From this post https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105it mentioned that one can call SNCF rail for seat reservation.In the orange box at the top it says it’s operating hours are 7 days from 08.00 to 20.00 https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/en/customer-service/contact-us/telephone/ Sorry to be silly but can I ask if this is France time or what?Has anyone been able to make a seat reservation by calling? What’s needed? Any issues? Do we provide credit card numbers over the phone? Do we need to create any SNCF account? Thank you in advance.

Yes I’ve read from the link above that I should not use Rail Planner to plan my trips.However on SNCF Connect app, it shows 2:59pm to 6:21pm (3h22min; TGV 9874 to Strasbourg; then TER 96233 to Colmar)Which schedule is correct? How could TGV 9874 be happening at 16:52/4:52pm (Deutsche Bahn, Trainline & Rail Planner apps) and also at 2:59pm (SNCF Connect app info)I’m guessing the SNCF Connect app is wrong. Hi everyone !!I’m leaving for a 1 week interrail in Norway an Sweden (leaving from France) between the 11 and 17 of February (next week).First, if anyone is doing kind of the same trip in the same dates, I’m flexible so we can do some of the travels together !Second, I see that on the interrail app, even if I ask to go north going trough Norway, it always advises me to go through Sweden. Are the transports in Norway really bad / slow or it’s just the app which is just lacking some information ? thank you for your answers and maybe see you ! 🚞

Can i take the interrail from Venice down to Patras? when i look it up it says it isnt possible, and can i use my ticket on ferries to??

Hello everyone! my name is Joy and I’m from California, USA. I just found this community:) and never traveled by train before. My main question is how does this really work? lol . I built my itinerary from London but since there is not a lot information I was little confused😟 Do I hop on these trains? I assume I need to make reservations? are those extra $$? and I assume I hop off destination #1 explore and hop back to another train for destination #2 and so forth? and what about visas? ahhh, sorry for the questions but I don’t want to hit purchase without knowing what I'm doing.  Thank you all😊

Have a booking for Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur departing at 2:24pm and struggling to find seat reservations on Eurail that would get me to Tirano (from Rome) on time and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!  This will be our very first time in Europe. We are trying to plan a couple days prior to our cruise. We are considering  flying into London and staying the night, then hoping over to Paris to quickly see the Eiffel Tower and taking the train from there to Switzerland. We would like to spend Friday & Saturday night there then head to Rome ( I think we need to fly) to board our cruise. After the cruise we planned to take a train to Venice for the day and then fly back to the US from there. We are open to any and all suggestions & tips!I am getting a little confused and nervous about how and when to book the different train rides. At points it seems fairly straightforward but then I really start second guessing and do not want to cause us extra stress and or expense!  Help!! Thank you!!
