Hello,I'm part of a group of 4 or 5 planning to travel from London to Brindisi on 1 and 2 October later this year.I am planning to travel with an Interrail pass, because I am coming back by train the following week and it represents value for money, but the others are travelling only one-way and therefore on regular point-to-point tickets.The issue I'm trying to solve is: how do you buy Interrail reservations and regular tickets and make sure the group is seated together?(I found one other topic on this subject but it was about Ireland, where this problem doesn't appear)The parts of the journey requiring reservations and therefore where this comes up is:On 01/10/2024:08:01 London St Pancras > Paris Gare du Nord 11:28 (Eurostar 9008) 12:18 Paris Gare de Lyon > Genève 15:29 (TGV Lyria 9773)On 02/10/2024:10:13 Milano Centrale > Brindisi 18:24 (Frecciarossa 9805)I'd like to make sure we get table seats on each part and, in the case of the TGV, upper deck seats. Hi Friends, I’m trying hard to find seat reservation for ICE/TGV trains from Heidelberg/Mannheim/Karlsruhe  to Paris.But seems for all the train DB website shows error message like “Reservation cannot be made”.Like this :However Raileurope website shows message like Seat reservation has to be made at station.  Can someone please help me guide what could I do ?Does it mean that seats are really full or I have to make seat reservation locally from station in Germany ?I’m going to travel with family and toddler .. so don’t want to take chance.I will buy EUrail pass in case I get seats for at least 2 of my journey.Thank you great people. 

I’ve just purchased seat reservations for a trip from Paris to Strasbourg through RailEurope.  I was really surprised to read “Please print them on plain A4 paper before travel and present on board. Do not print in "economy mode" as this can make barcodes illegible. Please note that the tickets must be printed; they cannot be presented via a laptop or mobile phone screen.”This is not a big deal as I probably would have printed off a copy of the seat reservation anyway, but I have always in the past shown tickets whether they be seat reservations or actual tickets on my phone upon inspection.   I have the RailEurope app and there are perfectly good images of the tickets obtainable through that app.    Is there some reason that I am missing why they insist on having paper copies?Peter

Hello,  I am South African citizen currently in Germany for 5 months, I got the national visa. I have two questions. Firstly, do I buy the interrail pass or Eurail pass?Secondly, I am planning to travel between 31st July - 21 August. I am planning to 8 countries spending 2 days in one city in each country, Italy being an exception I will do 3 cities. I want to know if I will need the 22 days pass or I can buy the 15 days pass since some days I will not be travelling. I am confused by the consecutive days whether it means travelling daily or I can stretch it in between days. Thank you for your assistance in advance.Isa

I Love Travel.My Wife and I went Interrailing when we were 25, we only found out about it just before the benefit of being a YOUTH ran out. Rucksacks, tents.   Now we would like to hit BOTH Denmark, Billund and Germany, Günzburg Legoland to take our 18 year old son to BOTH places and visit the factories ( which I am reliably informed is a thing now ).HERES THE QUESTION.I am trying to use the planner.I Live near Southampton (UK), and want to travel by train to Billund ( Yes - that IS a Long trip ), stay a couple of days, and then travel down to Germany, and possibly vists a couple of other places while we are there.Then travel back to SouthamptonI Would LIKE to use the train - since at least I will get a break from Driving for a change.How do I go about “Starting in Southampton”Do I choose this as a destination first?How do I ad. a Starting point - I am confused ( a tiny bit ).I was thinking that the 5 day Global pass might just about do it - with the two days from UK , leaving 3 days i

Hello,I am planning a trip to Europe in September 2024.    I have a 2 month 15 day pass.     I am trying to figure out how to put my 1st travel day in.     ( I know it’s best not to obtain the QR code now).      I’m just want to see the steps I have made a travel day plan and saved it my eurail pass is activated   The train times I need appear   But I do not see how to attach it to my Pass   I do not get to the “toggle switch” to choice the exact trains do I need to practice and choose “a travel day” If so Can I delete this travel day after I practice  my trains do not require a seat reservation   

Hello,  I’ve added a trip to my app and added 5 travellers.  I’ve booked seat reservations but on receiving the ticket via email there is only the one name on the ticket (the first alphabetically) but there are 5 seats listed.  Would this be correct? It’s charged me for 5 seats but should we not receive 5 tickets? Or at least have all 5 travellers listed on the one ticket? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to reserve seats for my 2Y child for the route  18:35 Rome Termini  --->22:59 Venice S. Lucia from https://www.raileurope.com/  . So as per instruction in website I am putting age as 6. At time of selecting seats and payment, website asking for my child date of birth. I am putting actual date of birth. App validating the age entered (6) and age as per date of birth mentioned (2) and showing error - “Passenger's date of birth doesn't match age: <name> will be 2 at time of travel”.Please suggest how can i book. Since its 4.5 hr of journey, i wanted to have seat for my child.DOB is a mandatory field on the form which i cannot skip.  

Hi all - thanks for all your help so far. I have another query for tirano to milan route. I would be reaching tirano around 18.00 on 25th May  by Bernina express. I have to reach Milan central on same day. Could you please suggest train route for same as I am not able to find on app. What can I see is below at 18:48 which has 2 bus changes. Is there no train or app is not showing? TIA

It’s now May and I’m checking the app for trains between Copenhagen and Stockholm for September and can’t see any, but train.ninja is showing lots.Do I conclude that there are no train journeys on which I can use my railcard, or does this mean the app hasn’t updated with train times for this far in the future?Thanks

Hi there,I am about to plan an Interrail-Trip with my family through the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain next summer. As seat reservations are really extraordinary expensive, we would like to skip them as often as possible. In the Netherlands and Belgium we will have some shorter journeys mainly up to one 45 minutes or one hour in an Intercity. Are trains in the Netherlands and Belgium normally crowded or shouldn’t it be a problem to fine some seats? We well be travelling late morning hours on weekdays and weekends.Thanks for your helpJohannes

I am considering buying an Interrail pass but I have a specific journey planned out. Is it possible to know whether there are pass holder seats left on specific journeys before I buy the Interrail pass? I am thinking specifically about Eurostar London to Paris, but also Paris to Munich, and Grenoble to Paris.If it’s not possible to know that before paying for the pass - I think that you can only get 85% back on unused passes, have I read that correctly? Thank you for your help!

Planning on getting a Eurail Global pass 22 Days for November and December travelling through Switzerland 8 days then onto Germany starting at Stuttgart for Christmas markets tour. Just want to know can we travel from Luzern to Stuttgart using the Eurail pass or do we have to go through Basel to get to Germany? Have read this on another site. Thanks for any advice.

Avec ma copine nous souhaitons réserver un train le 4 juillet de Budapest à Rijeka, seul hic, aucun prix ne s’affiche.Le site nous informe qu’il faut réserver les places (ce dont nous sommes bien conscients) mais ne nous informe à aucun moment qu’il n’y a plus aucun ticket disponible, cependant les trains d’avant ont un prix qui est affiché.Nous avons regardé le même trajet pour toutes les dates suivantes et même soucis.Est ce que quelqu’un a la réponse à ma question et saurait nous aider?  (Voir screenshot attaché)

Hello,I know I am not the only one waiting for the reservations to open for the SJ94 train from Stockholm to Narvik, even with a change at Boden and Bjørkliden.I checked just now on sj.se : what is open is only a departure today and tomorrow. Starting the 22th, it says “Not available” but between 16th and 21th of May, it says “We didn’t find any matching departures”.Is this due to the derailment ? I thought that the train ran daily (even with the Boden connection). Does it ?I plan to travel at the very beginning of July. My final destination is Tromsø. I am looking for an alternative route in case I could not get a ticket through Narvik (and I feel I will know that only a few days before). Do you know if it is easy to travel from Stockholm to Trondheim without a reservation (local trains ?), or with a last minute reservation ? Same question for Trondheim-Bodø even with a seat in the night train.Thank you for any other route suggestion.

We're planning a trip from Amsterdam to visit the UK.  If we buy global passes for the UK, is the Eurostar included, since it's travel to/from our home country (NL) ?  Anything special needed to know on booking reservations on Eurostar?Also, if we buy first class passes, will that translate to Standard Premier on Eurostar?Thanks!

I am writing this message on May 12.  We have European trip scheduled to begin August 21.  We prefer global paper passes to digital passes.  How long does it take to receive a paper pass in the eastern USA?  If it doesn’t arrive in time, can we exchange paper pass for global digital pass?  Under this exchange scenario, please briefly describe the process/conditions.  Thank you.

I am writing this inquiry on May 12, 2024.  We live in the United States and will begin our European trip on August 21.  We prefer paper passes over digital passes.  How long will it take to deliver paper passes by mail to the eastern United States?  Are signatures required for mailing (receipt) of paper passes? Also, if we do not receive the paper passes in time, can they be exchanged for mobile passes?  Under this exchange scenario what is/are the process/conditions of exchange.  Thank you.    

I have searched Eurail website and I am not able to find a way to reserve ferry ticket. Does Eurail global pass include this ferry?
