Reserving sleeper tickets

We are trying to reserve sleeper tickets from Stuttgart to Ljubliana on 27th July. Every site we have tried says ‘not available’ or something similar. We have tried eurrail, DB, OBB etc. We know the train exists and we are inside the booking window. In fact if we try any train between now and then, we get the same message. Interestingly OBB seems to have tickets in the opposite direction??? So what’s going on? How can we reserve these couchettes? Can anybody help?

Eurail Passes - Can I use the pass from the Frankfurt Airport to Heidelberg

Traveling a bit of Central Europe by rail next fall. Will be arriving and departing from Frankfurt. Would hope to take the train from Frankfurt Airport to Heidelberg and then, about a month later, from Nuremburg back to the Frankfurt Airport.Can this be done with the Eurail pass or do I need to book these legs of our journey without the pass?

Hello! I tried to book a train between Thessaloniki and Athens but I can’t find any informations, neither in Interrail, nor on the greec site, nor anywhere else so could somebody explain me how I can reach Athens from Thessaloniki?  Thank youuu Clara

Travel - Salzburg to Lesce Bled

Hi. We are scheduled to travel from Salzburg to Lesce Bled next weekend and the timetable is not showing any direct trains as is mentioned on Man in Seat 61. It looks like we will need to part travel on the OBB bus fromBischofshofen Bahnhof (Vorplatz) D11.20 Bus SV220 toSpital-Millstatter See Bahnhof A12.40 and then pick up train connections to Villach , Jesenice and Lesce.  Can anyone please tell me if the Interail pass is valid on the bus element of this route. Alternatively if any can see a direct or purely train route please let me know. Thanks John

New phone - all of My Trip is gone. Hours of work. Plz help.

Hi all,I have spent hours and hours building an itenary for my 3 month Global Pass. This because interrailing is not as easy as advertised - it requires a lot of planning, seat reservations, extra costs etc. Anyway, build myself an itenary that I was quite happy with, leaving this Monday. However, my phone broke the other day so now I am on a new device installing the app etc. Apparently you can only change device once (why, just why?). Now I am did that, logged-in, and all the journeys in My Trip are gone. Is there any way to retrieve them?Thanks,Cor

How to go from Milano P Garibaldi to Milano Centrale

Hi Guys, I will be travelling tomorrow’s from Venice S Lucia Station to Zurich HB with one change at Milano P Garibaldi (10.47 AM)and next train is from Milano Centralle at 11.10 AM.  If any one have idea to reach Milano Centralle in less time from Milano P Garibaldi as we have only 20 mins to reach there. What mode will be best to reach there through walking or by metro??it will be very appreciable if any one suggest us the best way before our tomorrow train. thanksVineet

Mobile pass, trips and seat reservations

Hi, I just wanted to check again before my trip. I’m going from london to paris via eurostar, ive made the seat reservations for the eurostar trip. From my understanding how this seat reservation works is that for the eurostar train which ive bought the ticket/seat reservation for, I need to add that same train to my trip that is linked to my mobile pass. Then when I’m on the train I show both the mobile pass and the eurostar ticket I’ve bought? Thanks!

Chur to Munich trains--do they accept Global Passes? Also Italian trains?

We’re trying to figure out our train travel from Milan to Tirano, and most every train listed by the Eurail planner says “Not in Pass network.” Does this mean our Global Pass doesn’t work with these trains, and we need to purchase separate tickets? Also, the Eurail planner says that this trip takes something like eight hours, with many weird changes.And now we’re also trying to find trains from Chur, Switzerland to Munich. We’re encountering the same thing.So the big questions are: How do we find the correct trains and schedules? Will our Global Pass work on these trains once we find the right ones? Are there things I’m not asking that I should know??? Also, if we find trains we think will work on Rail Europe (for instance), how do we make reservations through that site while using our Global Pass?Thank you for any enlightenment you can shed on this matter. It’s been relatively easy to navigate the UK, France, Spain, and getting into Italy as far as Milan. But now we are confused and b

Help needed for Stockholm-Hamburg connections

Hi all,I've been struggling to find connections from Stockholm to Hamburg on June 17th for my family of two adults and two teenagers with Interrail global passes. Apparently SJ will be doing track works around that time so some departures from Stockholm are still blocked. However on DB website I was able to find the following connections:8.34 X2 425 Stockholm - Göteborg 11.4012.40 R 1095 Göteborg - Copenhagen 16.2917.02 IC 1199 Copenhagen- Hamburg 21.57The SJ website doesn't show the above connection when I search for the whole journey Stockholm - Hamburg, but does however show all three journeys when searched individually. My questions are: 1) Do you think it's safe to assume those trains will be able to run on June 17 since the whole journey does come up on DB website?2) Will the 33 min transfer time in Copenhagen be enough?3) Where to best book seats for those trains? SJ for the first two and somewhere else for the last one? Or DB service hotline for the whole journey (it says on th

When to activate, What date do we enter

Hi All, I have purchased a flexi global pass 15 trips in 2 months pass  and I want to book train travel  from Birmingham to Edinburgh for late September, I'm worried if I book it now will that Activate the card or do I put in future activation date starting the date we arrive  overseas. We don't leave Australia until early September., 2023I have a second question, when we are trying to put in my husbands name as per the passport details, it say it will only accept 15 characters, can we use his first name and just an initial for his second name then his surname? even though the passport has his whole name, will this cause us any problems, when we use the pass? Thank you all again Sharon

Would UK C type visit short stay visa holder be able to purchase an Interrail Pass?

Hi, my parents will visit me in UK soon, and we planned some Europe trips together. They got Chinese passport, with UK C type visit short stay visa validate for 2 years, with each stay no more than 6 month. Will they be considered as temporary residents in UK? And be able to purchase the interrail pass? Thanks!

Global Pass and several countries

Hi its my first time on the Community site and I am quite a novice with travelling between countries.My family and I (11 of us) are travelling from Australia into Edinburgh and will train down to York, onto Ireland, London and Amsterdam. From Amsterdam we are flying to Norway and then onto Venice, when we get to Venice we will again want to travel by train to Rome.My question is can you use the same pass to travel in Venice & Rome when you are flying in between destination, say like taking a pause from the train? I hope I am explaining myself correctly?

Weekend NightJet service from Rome to Munich in Oct

A friend and I were planning on taking the NightJet on 22 Oct from Rome Termini to Munich (in order to get to Cologne), however it appears (on both Eurail and OBB) that NightJet (in addition to any other trains leaving Termini) is not running on weekends or currently is not scheduled for any weekends in Oct. Is this accurate or am I trying to book too early? It seems odd that the entirety of Romes rail network shuts down for an entire weekend with no significant holiday (that I’m aware of). Any advice or reasonable alternatives would be appreciated. We already purchased our passes in anticipation of being able to schedule this train, so we’d rather avoid booking flights if possible.

ERROR message when reserving seats witn payment

Please help! I’ve been trying to book seats on a train from Bratislava to Budapest and Budapest to Kisvarda. Everytime I try to pay, I fill in my credit card info and I get the prompt: “Something went wrong. Please refresh the page. “EVERY TIME!! I’ve tried booking them seperately and it still happens! Not sure if this is a mistake on my side or the site. Nothing happens when I refresh the page, they just make me do the whole process all over again just for it to end up on the prompt again. What can I do?????I’m doing this on my IPhone btw!

I will travel to France by car with my sisterI will come back by train from France to my home country (Belgium), so that is my inbound trip two weeks later I travel by train to Barcelona with my husband. So that is outbound trip What do I do to return from Barcelona to Brussels? I cannot use a second inbound trip..... But do I have to pay the whole trip from Barcelona to Brussels? Or only the part from the border (France Belgium) to Brussels? And how do I book this? thanks in advanceElisabeth

Finland and Norway in summer

In July my 11 year old daughter and I intend to travel from the Netherlands to Finland and then go by way of Haparanda, Sweden to Narvik, Norway and go down slowly back home. We have got over three weeks. Unfortunately one have to make reservations for all Norway trains. So there is no freedom to stay any longer or leave more early. We'll stay a few days in Helsinki. But what next? Which place has got beautiful nature, f.e. in the lake District and is reached easily by train? And do you have to make reservations for the cheap or middle price hostels in Scandinavië long before?(Last year we went by the EU rail to Italy and Austria, almost without preparation, off course I want to help about that if needed). Thank you so much for helping us. Froukje

Hi, i have a question regarding how i can reserve my seat in a train.I have the interrail global pass for 10 days within 2 months. I’m trying to make seat reservations in the app (i have already activated my pass) but i can’t, it says that seat reservations are not included in my pass but they are required on some trains for a small fee. So how can i pay that fee in order to reserve the train?Thank you

About Eurail Pass activation

I have a consecutive Eurail Pass (15days) and my first travel day is set to be 30 Apr (My flight will land on 30 Apr in the morning at Zurich 8am).Can I check if I set my pass for activation (step 3) and put 30 Apr as the activation date before I fly off, is the activation date going to be in Europe time or my current timezone?E.g. Activate 30 Apr 0000hr at my timezone (GMT +8) would mean 1800 for (GMT +2) the previous day?

Is there a "seat guru" to say which are best (and worst) seats on Eurostar?

I’m traveling Standard Premier London to Amsterdam in June and booked directly with Eurostar, so I can change the assigned seat.  I have chosen a seat that says “window seat” but came to find out there is no window at all, it is simply not an aisle seat, but no window.  I want to pick a forward facing seat with a window, preferably a single seat format.  But it appears there are very few of those with a window in Coach 1.  I was wondering if there is a website like seat guru for airplanes, that tells which are ok seats on Eurostar and which are really bad seats.

I would like to know whether I have to put all my journey on travel day in the pass. Suppose I want to travel from city A to city B in the morning and in the afternoon I want to travel form city B to city C. Do I have to put these two trips into the pass on my travel day?
