How long before the travel do you have to buy the interrail ticket?

I bought two two-month tickets during the promotion. One for myself and one for my friend. Now our relationship is over and my boyfriend doesn't want to travel anymore. Can I use my friend's pass myself? If so, how can I do that? How can I change names? It is a 439 eurotocket, that's a lot of money.

Hi, I am trying to book a trainticket from Arnhem Centraal to Basel (17 july 22:02). I get the notification that prices are unavailable. What does this mean? With an interrail pass you can with this train right?  

Hi there, I’m travelling soon on a france interrail pass, I live in the UK and apparently I’m allowed to make one journey to and one journey from the border. Is this valid to use on Eurostar, or do I need to go via Dover/pay separately?

I'm trying to make a seat reservation for the TGV 6035 from Paris Gare de Lyon to Nice Ville at 19:08-00:46 on 22/07. The Eurail website says that prices are unavailable for this train. If I try to book through travel.b-europe.com instead, there are still some available seats. However, in order to book my seat, the website requests a Pass Cover number in the "Ticket Details" section. Since I have a mobile Eurail pass, I do not have a Pass Cover number and am unable to complete the reservation.How can I receive a Pass Cover Number? Is there an alternative way to book a seat on this train?

Hi everybody. I am traveling to Paris this summer starting from Muchic. To get there I need to take seat reservations but that is not possible on the interrail website. I´ve been searching the internet for the last hour or two and i just couldn´t find a way to get the job done. I am traveling July 27th and I really would like to do the reservations now rather than later.Thank you for your help!! <3

Hello, i bought the interrail in a ticket station.I got 2 Papers One Diary and one ticket where i have to write the dates. On the dairy it says “attach” ticket here. What  does it mean? Can i just have this two sepeare documents or do i have to glue it on?

Hello,My friend and I are planning a trip to Venice and Milan very soon (from the 11th of June to the 15th of June). As it is in Italy, we have to book our seats. When we try to do so on the interrail website, it says “Prices temporarily unavailable. Check back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservation.”. So we also tried via the italian website but there is no way of enterring that we have an interrail global pass. Then we tried on the austrian website ÖBB but for every train we checked, it says “ticket not available”. I really don’t know what to do as nothing seems to work and the trip is supposed to happen very soon. Any help would be very appreciated :)Here is our plan :Geneva - Venice (11.06) 7:39 - 14:42Venice - Milan (13.06) 11:00 - 13:15Milan - Zürich (15.06) 11:10 - 14:27 Thank you very much! 

Hallo,wie funktioniert das denn wenn ich zum Beispiel am 05.08.2022 meinen 2 Monats Pass aktiviere. Gilt der dann auch bis zum 05.10.2022 oder dann nur bis zum 30.09.2022?Oder funktionier das doch ganz wanders? 

I have added my pass to my phone, if I book reservations and plan a trip on a laptop will they get synchronized to my Android phone?Or do I have to do everything on the phone now? It just looks easier on the laptop & website. Thanks for your help

Hi, I got an interrail pass with discoverEU, I applied for myself only, but it turns out that I am going to travel with someone. I saw on the DiscoverEU help website that it is possible to change from an individual to a group pass. I was relieved however I feel like I might have understood it wrong. Is that something I can do, and if yes how do I proceed ? Thanks in advance, help would be much appreciated. :) 

I have two passes (unactivated) that are stored on my phone.  They were purchased on 14th February 2021.  Due to CVD, they were extended until August 31st 2022 in an email received 6th May 2021.  My wife and I are still unlikely to be able to use them before the extension runs out, but, instead, wish to use them in September 2022.  Would Eurail extend them again, or would we need to apply for a refund and buy new ones?  If I need a refund, the problem I have is that under ‘Cancel your paper Pass’ it says ‘You currently have no orders eligible for cancellation’.  I may add that these passes were bought under the ‘first class offer’, and we paid an extra £23 ‘insurance’ to have them refundable

Hi,I’m wondering what happens if I book seat reservations for connecting trains and miss the second one due to the first one being delayed and it’s not the same operator. For example, I have booked a Eurostar train from Brussels to London and plan to go from London to Sheffield with East Midlands Railway directly after. If the Eurostar is delayed and I miss the second train, will I get refunded/get a new place reservation for the London-Sheffield route? And if anyone has travelled a similar route before, how big of a time margin do you think I should leave for the connection? Final question, it says that the Eurostar arrives at “St Pancras International” and the East Midlands Railway train departs from “St Pancras”. Are they the same station? (I’m from Sweden and I have a 1st class Global Interrail pass if that is necessary information) /Herman

I noticed that many trains don't require reservations, but at the same time many are saying to get a reservation just to be safe.  If I have a ticket thru the eurail app without a reservation (where no reservation is required), is it possible that no seat may be available for me because others have reserved all of them?

Hi,I bought my Interrail Global Pass and planned my trip. Germany to RomeRome to FlorenceFlorence to VeniceVenice to Germany I booked a 4 day ticket, because the times line up perfectly to reach each destination within a day or a couple of hours.Now I read, that I have to use a travel day just to travel in my home country ( germany ).Does that mean, that I have to actually book 6 travel days?And if that is the case, could I change my pass to get a pass with more days? PS. : It’s quite sad that there are no informations about that when you book the tickets. Thank you very much, Hannah

Hello, I have the problem that I can not currently buy seat reservations for my upcoming trip next week, explicitly it is about the relation Szczecin Glowny - Gdynia and Gdynia - Poznan (- Berlin). Now I have the problem that I can not buy seat reservations via the Interrail service, via PKP (the train provider) I can theoretically get Szczecin - Gdynia and Gdynia Poznan, but only with credit card which I do not have.So the following questions:1. can I somehow book through Interrail the above mentioned reservations?2. can I buy a reservation through the PKP service by bank transfer or similar ?Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Hi there, I have a train ticket for Paris Gare du Nord - Amsterdam Centraal on the 17th of July, 7:55 am. I've tried for over a month to reserve a seat, as it is mandatory, but was never able to book the reservation because the site was too laggy/buggy.  Today I tried again. And boom! The prices are unavailable and it says it might be due to the train being booked out. I've tried booking for other trains that day and even on the day before or after, to no avail. They all seem to be fully booked.  Anyone know what I can do? I've even tried going to my local train station, but they couldn't book the reservation for me. I've tried the SNCF website as well, but you can only book the full train tickets there. I'm freaking out, to be honest. My hotels are all non-refundable and it seems like I might have to cancel my trip because of this issue.

I purchased 4 reservations for 2 people for 2 legs of a journey from Lourdes, France to Barcelona, Spain 2 weeks ago.  I received an email from eurail confirming the purchase.  Attached to this email I received 2 reservations, that I printed, for 1 leg of the journey (from Toulouse to Narbonne).  For some reason they are MAILING the 2 other reservations (from Narbonne to Barcelona)and charging me for the postage, instead of just emailing them.  Eurail sent me an email on June 10th stating that the reservations are on the way and should be at my mailbox by 07-16-22, IN 5 WEEKS!  I'm not sure why in would take 5 weeks to get here, but the trouble is, WE'LL BE IN EUROPE BY THEN.  Is there another way of getting these reservations? Maybe at a train station? I emailed eurail this question 2 weeks ago and have received no reply to date. Thanks.Mark & Dana Carter

Hello! I bought my global passes yesterday but couldn’t make any reservations right away & now it’s not showing any seat reservation possibilities on August 1st, 23:51 train Ljubljana to Munich. If I look at RailEurope it’s showing it’s running/seats are available.  Any suggestions on how to book it?

Hi, On 11th of April I bought a Global Pass online. I paid, but I never received a confirmation mail nor a purchase order on my account. I've sent already three messages to the support desk and never received an answer. I can't find a phone number anywhere on the website. Best Regards, Anita
