Travelling by train

Hi! Im travelling with a buddy to London soon. We were thinking of visiting italy as our last destination. Where should we go in between?  planning to leave london on the 7th of March and back to our country on the 20th of march.  is there any advice as where we could save some money as well? We would like to experience the night train and scenic views.  any tips and advice would be much appreciated. Thank you very much guys! 

Not yet activated our passes.Have seats reserved for travel to Amsterdam on 7th March. Now need to change to May.Eurostar say as booked through 3rd party (Eurail) I have to get them to change date. Eurail just send me link back to E* site where they show as £20 per seat to change date on same time train and £140 for later train. I feel I'm just on a loop Help!Thanks

how can i book train and bus online through mobile

8 days in Italy visiting Venice & major cities btwn there & Naples-Looks like 8 day pass would be perfect. 1.  Does one simply show pass upon request aboard train or scan somewhere prior to each boarding? 2. Is reservation fee for each leg of trip or round trip?  Example: Bologna to Pisa back to Bologna3. Any suggestions for questions I wouldn't know to ask about using Eurail pass?  4. Best/easiest/cheapest site to book trips?

Hey! Is it considered to be safe to travel alone on interrail? Is there something that i need to know about in this case? Like i am wondering if something happens and I miss a train so that I am stuck at a train station at the middle of the night, would that be dangerous?

Hi Everyone, My name is Maddy and I am 24 years old. I have been looking to travel for a few years now but with a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism I worry about sensory and information overload. I have travelled with friends before and have been fine but that has been a more static holiday, so no travelling abroad other than on foot or to and from the airport.  I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on how to make the experience as smooth as possible? hi guys,i want to travel in eastern europe in march and want to start in germany and go to greece and romania. So I alreaday saw a train from germany to croatia which i will need for an extra stop before going to greece (thessaloniki). But although it is indicated on the europe railway map I can’t find a train from croatia (zagreb) to greece (thessaloniki). I have the same problem if i want to go from thessaloniki to romania (bucarest). do I need an extra stop in between those destinations or are the timetables still not out yet? I am thankful for any help. 

I want to go from Dresden to Narvik. I want to depart at 7.55 pm and arrive 12.35 pm (2 days plus). The journey takes 40 hours in total. Does that count as two days of traveling?  

We are travelling to Europe from Australia in April 2024. We would prefer to get from Patras to Brindisi by ferry and continue down to Sicily and leave from Palermo to Naples. Has anybody done this route? many thanks, ReneeL

I am from Australia and I am travelling through Europe for 6 weeks starting early June. I will travel by train. PAR - ZUR - APPENZEL - LUCERNE - INNSBRUK . FUSSEN - MUNICH. And later MUN - BUDAPEST. I have done a lot of searching on this community page but I don’t understand how I book my rail tickets and pay with the pass at all. Sorry, in my defense I’m 62 ! 

Can I use the Global Pass from Paris to Auvers sur Oise? And from Strasbourg to Colmar?And what about the train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station?Many thanks for your help!

Hi,I’ve been planning a route which includes a train from Venice to Nice however, I’m not sure if it’s possible. I haven’t been able to find great options so far and have figured I’d have to get a train from Venice to Milan first but haven’t been able to figure anything out past that point. I would have a interrail global pass and would be travelling in June, any help would be much appreciated and any additional info needed please let me know.Thank you :)

Hi, I’m planning a trip, I have some doubt about inbound/outbound trips and how handle at the best the trip days.Question 1. :  I want to go from Rome to Munich within a night trip, but I need to change a train in residence country before midnight, it is still considered a outbound trip / one day pass? Question 2: inbound trip, from Wien to Rome, night trip from Wien to a city, can I stop 6hrs and then take another train to Rome?eThanks for your answers

Hi I received the email for the delivery of the tickets, unfortunately itsays by 2/06 but as you can see the trip is indicated for March. Is itpossible to have either an email that allows us to make the trip or anadvance shipment of tickets?

My husband I will be in Spain for 2 weeks. We would want to stay in Madrid, take a high speed train to Barcelona, but also take day trips out of both cities. Is there an advantage to purchasing passes in advance or would it work to buy as we go??

As the App of Eurail gets no live updates like the local websites / apps.I and several other Community members suggest different Apps :) Often bahn.com (Website of German Rail) with their app “DB Navigator” or oebb.at (Website of Austrian Railway) with their App called “Scotty”.My advice is to use always when possible the Website of Railcompany / Country or their App where you are / that you gonna catch :) the Websites & Apps above are good for International Railplaning as these cover quite a lot European Routes.  Some of them show even the Railcompany th

Hello everyone, my wife and I, along with my elderly parents will be traveling to Europe in late March - Early April arriving via a Cruise Ship. We plan on staying in Barcelona for 2 days and then taking the train up to Paris and staying there for 4 days. My question is can you take mobility scooters on the train from Barcelona to Paris? Also is it feasible to use the local metro to get around with the scooters as well? My parents are 91 and 87 respectively and walking any distance can be difficult for them. Thanks Jerry
