HelloI’ve bought my pass and added it to the Rail Planner App. I meant to activate it for December 23 but have accidentally activated it for January. I have no trips on it yet? Can I deactivate it and then reactivate it - the site suggests you can. If so how do I do that, on the app. All the instructions seem to deal with activation - but don’t tell you how to deactivate both on the app and website.Many thanksSue
I can put a seat reservation into my shopping cart, but every time I go to check out and accept terms and conditions I get:Please try to find an alternative connection. The unavailable leg will be removed from your cart.So I can’t purchase.If I cancel the reservation, I can still rebook it (i.e. it isn’t unavailable) but it always fails at checkout
The train I want to travel on says in respect of reservations -Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.Reservations are not compulsory however.Can I travel on this train or not? If there are no pass holder reservations, does this mean that no further pass holders can travel or just that they are not guaranteed a seat.
HelloI’m new to this but would like to spend Christmas travelling a little of Europe using mainly the OBB night jet to sleep in and then explore the city I arrive in next day. Is this viable over Christmas? Would it be advisable to stay in a hotel the nights 24/12 and 25/12?Is everything closed Christmas Day and the following day including transport in Austria, Germany, Croatia?If I buy the Global ticket is it really cheaper? Is Eurostar covered by a Global ticket? I guess it’s better to book once I’ve put the journey together but if the train is late and I miss the connection (mainly Brussels to say Munich) what happens then?If I’ve understood the site correctly you can book hotels via this ticket? Is that right? Does the mobile pass have the same facilities as the Global pass?Sorry to ask so many questions but I wanted answers from experienced people so I can confirm my understanding is correct from what I’ve researched online so far.
I keep receiving notifications on my phone to go to My Pass online to keep my pass valid. Anyone else receiving these notifications? We just used our first day of our global pass yesterday. We have a month worth of trips planned now and I don't want any problems with the pass. So far Eurail through email has not been helpful with other questions between the mobile app and online. There are lots of glitches between these platforms. Feedback appreciated. Thanks!
Hey,Some users on Twitter but also here in the community have the problem that they do not get informed about the fee to use the DB-ÖBB Eurocity trains to/in Italy. The railplanner app gives some time ago the (wrong) information that you need a reservation, now it writes nothing. The problem now is that DB-ÖBB started to ask an additional fee if you pay the fee on the train.Would be possible to add a notice like please check the special conditions to use this train or something like this? Because how we know only with an Interrail/Eurail Global Pass and an Interrail/Eurail One Country Italy Pass you have to pay, with an Interrail/Eurail German Rail Pass not. On the Railjet trains Venice-Vienna, there is the compulsory reservation notice, but like via Brenner there is only a compulsory fee needed. Here is the information wrong about the compulsory reservation also on the website. If I am not wrong, you get via Interrail Reservation system only the fee and not a reservation. On the Euro
Hi Everyone, I attempted to reserve seats for January 2023 however all routes are showing as the timetable has not been released. However, when I go directly to the rail company websites such as OBB, they are available to purchase on there. Does anyone know why this is?I wanted to reserve a seat on an overnight train and am a bit worried if it’s available on the direct website that it will sell out.
I have purchased a eurail pass, and am now trying to book seat reservations! However, the train time options coming up in my search in the app, are then not showing as options when I go to book seat reservations on the website!! Why is this?Thanks in advance!!
Hello, I am having a Eurail Global Pass 7 days. I want to book Eurostar on Oct 31 2022 from London to Paris but Eurail website seat reservation is showing UNAVAILABLE On B Europe I am able to find seats but it is asking for Pass Cover Number which I have generated online.But there is a small note in the footer of “where can i find pass cover number?” - it shows where to look for pass cover number but also says valid only for paper pass and not for digital pass I am confused - can I book this ticket using the pass cover I generated online - Pls note: I have mobile pass and not paper pass Pls suggest asap kindly Thanks so much!!!! Hello! I am about to buy a 15 Day Use Global Pass but need some help on UK travel. I think I am ok from London to Paris / Amsterdam / up to Scotland but I can’t seem to work out the UK - I tried to do one of those ‘Plan your Trip’ searches but all I could find in the UK that I want to go to is Bath and London.Has anyone used the Global Pass to go to Oxford / Cambridge / Brighton or anywhere near the Lakes District? Dear Interrail Team, I have purchased the Interrail global pass for two months. Unfortunately, my dad got cancer which was a major force, and things got very tough for my family and me. Based on these dramatic circumstances with my dad and despite activating the pass, I couldn't use my Interrail ticket, and I immediately returned home. I would still like to use this amazing opportunity and travel around Europe when things hopefully get better again... Could you please let me know if there is a possibility of reimbursing my ticket so I can travel with my global interrail pass later in time? Hi everyone,I recently made a seat reservation for Venice to Salzburg (via Villach) for the 22nd of December, and I thought I had done everything right, costing the 10 euro fee etc. I found it a bit odd that it didn’t require any information. Once I downloaded the pdf, I realised there was absolutely no information on it at all? As in the time, stations, the whole rail journey is missing? I’m assuming this makes the ticket not valid. Is there anyone I could contact to fix this?Thank you!

My answer to this is no, despite it being advertised in the Eurail planner. After a long flight from Australia, trying to activate our mobile pass for the first time, the train attendant tells us it isnt valid...because Heathrow Express isnt part of Network Rail (the UK rail consortium that combines all the tracks). Im aware of this, and I was happy that the Heathrow Express was listed as being part of the Eurail pass. But no, the ticket lady said it wasnt part of the pass and that they had tried to explain to Eurail many times that they werent involved in the scheme but they kept having travellers come up to them (like I did) showing them the Eurail Planner rules/inclusions and expecting to be able to use it. Can anyone else confirm if it really is part of the pass or if it isnt and Eurail are just false advertising?

Hi, I have just returned from the trip in North Europe but we had to shorten our journey because we were not be able to get farther than to Oslo. We were kicked off the train because we did not have a reservation of seats and Norwegians do not want to let sitting in the aisle. Interrail app showed us that the reservation is not necessary (“you are already on the board”) for this train but a shop assistant at the train station told us that many people have the same problem because Interrail app shows sometimes false information. We were forced to cancelled our accommodation in Trondheim and come back home because all trains were sold out. Do you think is there any chance to get money back from Interrail, it is obviously their fault. Thank you so much for you opinions.Jachym
Hi, I am trying to book seat reservations for the Eurostar on Monday 12th December. Paris to London. It keeps saying trains are not available for that date. I can book up to Saturday the 10th but not Monday the 12th. I Have been trying for two weeks now. Looking for help
Hi,I’m from Canada and bought the global eurorail pass for my travels in Europe. I have dual citizenship (Canada/Germany) and was hoping to only travel with my German passport and leave the Canadian one safe with family I have in Germany. Currently it’s my Canadian passport # associated with my global pass. Would I have issues since the passport I’m bringing doesn’t match the pass? I will have photocopies of my Canadian passport (I know it’s not a legit document) but at least it shows the same # as the pass.Thanks!
We will be traveling through and within Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK in Dec/Jan. How long before the train departs do we generally need to be at train station? Will it matter if its within a country or between different countries?Presumable there is security to clear especially if changing countries, is this correct?
I am planning a trip with the boys and wish to purchase 3 global passes as there are three of us. I am Malaysian and the other two in my party are Irish and Lithuanian. We all live in the United Kingdom. I am supposed to buy a Eurail pass and the other two should buy interrail passes correct? If so, is there a way we can purchase 1 Eurail global pass and 2 interrail global pass together to enjoy the group purchase discount? The pass we are looking at is 4 days in 1 month.
I'm currently spending a semester abroad in France and I would like to go home to Germany for Christmas by using Interrail.Is it possible to use the Interrail Global Pass in order to enter into my coutry of residence first and leave it afterwards?I asked myself the question if the order makes any difference.
