To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more
Hi everyone,I’ve got a problem to choose the pass for my travel (it’s my first time trying this kind of travel). I’m planning on travelling with a friend, and the trip would be the following : first, we would take a night train from Marseille to Vienna (with correspondences) the night of the 15th/16th July. After, we would take a night train from Vienna to Berlin (a direct) the night of the 18th/19th July. After, we would take a night train from Berlin to Coppenhaggen (with correspondences) the night of the 21th/22th July. Finally, we would take a night train from Coppenhaggen to Marseille (with correspondence) the night of the 25th/26th July. But we don't know which pass to take ?Sometimes, the website told us it's the 4-days Global pass a month, on other times, the 5-days Global pass a month. So, which one should we take ?Also, does this pass work when we are planning to take only night trains, sometimes with correspondences ? Thanks you for your help and advices :)Have a good trip every
Hi all, I bought two tickets as seats reservation for my friend and I, at once. But my friend will finally not take the same train than me, so I wish to cancel one ticket but not both. Is it possible to do so, and if so, how ? Or do I have to cancel reservation of both tickets and book again a single one for me only ?Thanks a lot!RegardsArnaud
I have booked the Irish Ferries sailing to Dublin tomorrow at 14.10. The 9am train from Euston doesn't get in to Holyhead until 14.18 according to the Interrail and DB websites. Seat 61 advises that the train from Euston gets in at 12 50. I know there can be issues with the timetable on the Interrail site .Anyone know what's the option are as getting an earlier train has some short transfers. There is a bus trip as part of the route from Rhyl in any option I look at . Many thanks.
Hi, I read some news today about how getting from Bardonecchia to Modane on Masdom. There is a bus every hour via the street tunnel. They start right after the arrival of the local train from Turin to Modane. Same for the rides Modane-Bardonecchia, they are connecting to the local trains to Turin. This is a good way to avoid the only train for Interrail/Eurail users on this route the TGV.Cost: 3,40 EUR, pay at the bus driver.Only Monday to Saturday. Does not run on italian holidays. #Modane 🇨🇵/ #Bardonecchia 🇮🇹 is a border very hard to cross for Interrailers. There are no regional trains and Interrail reservations for highspeed services are limited (TGV) or not possible (Freccia). If you weren't successful at getting a reservation/promo ticket, there is a mini-bus shuttling on Mondays to Saturdays between Modane and Bardonecchia through the Fréjus road tunnel. Ticket is 3,40€ and timings are adapted to regional trains to Torino.#CrossBorderBus #interrail #servicetoot https://mastodo
My friend and I are travelling together for a month in Europe. However, she lives in Australia and I live in the UK so we both need different passes. Will this effect the way we travel, as in will we still be able to sit by each other on the trains and so on, or will it be ok to have two different passes?
Hello Goodday.I just bought 4 tickets for my Eurail for 15 days.May I know ,how do I add all the 4 names together and add their details inside the rail planner app, which I’ve already downloaded. I’ve created mine and add my first journey but have not activate yet . As my travel date will be in late November. Please advice . Thank you .
Hello! I have a US passport but a German residence permit. I would prefer to buy a Eurail ticket over an Interrail ticket, but the terms and conditions have been unclear if that’s allowed, as I am a non-European citizen but a European resident. Could someone clarify the rules for me? Thanks!
Hello, So I made my seat reservations already on eurail website. I then got rail planner app and connected my pass, but the trip from online wasn’t connected for some reason so I made a new one and created all my journeys. However, the seat reservations that I made are not connected to this trip. I have the etickets for the seat reservations, does anyone know if I will be able to get tickets for my journey on the app without the seat reservations linked?
Hello, I have a flex pass of 5 days and I want to know how can I plan multiple destinations/ stops in 1 day ?For example: I will do Wurzburg-Germany => Nuremberg-Munich => Salzbourg-Austria..Should I set up every step each city or from Wurzburg => Austria is enough? Thanks
Hi I’ve got rather confused as to how the planner app works. I created a fairly complex trip on my iPad and added it to my pass on my iPad. However I really need to have the trip on my phone, so i successfully added the pass to my phone. However though the pass is there, there isn’t any trip associated with it. Do I need to create it manually on my phone from scratch or is there an easier way? Thanks
We have our passes and we are trying to book seats from Paris to Lucerne. We can book seats from Paris to Basel but there is not an option to purchase seats from Basel to Lucerne. I know we change trains in Basel but how do we purchase seats on the Basel to Lucerne segment? Appreciate your help.
Hello, we will be travelling from Antwerp Central to Frankfurt… there is a change trains stop in Brussels Nord from an IC 4531 to an ICE 15, which is a 5 minutes change time. I am wondering if 5 minutes is enough to get from one train to the other? Like would they be on the same track or would we have to walk across the station? Is there a way to find out where certain trains stop and start within each station? Thanks!
I will travel with my family, two adults and a 2-year-old child.I initially ordered two interrail global passes, one for me and one for my wife, as my child travels for free. But then, as I started to make group reservations, I realise I could not include my daughter because she had no pass. As many users, I was not aware that I had to associate a child pass with an adult pass to make a group reservation because your website is not clear and even counterintuitive (my daughter is 2 and the child pass is named “Child (4-11)”). It’s a shame, you should definitely clarify this !I found out in the FAQ that I had to ask a (85%) refund for my adult pass and order a new pass for myself and my child, which I did. My questions are the following :The initial order was for 2 passes, one for me and one for my wife : I asked to refund my pass only and would like to be sure the pass for my wife will not be cancelled (I only needed to replace one of the two passes to solve the problem of the child pass
Hi!I have the global interrail pass for 7 days in one month with 2 inbound/outbound days. I already used 6 of my days and 1 outbound journey. That means that I have one travel day left with the inbound/outbound option. The question is. Because I already got back to my country by plane and I still want to use this last day. Can I go for one day by train to a city (in Germany) and during the same day go back to my home country (Poland)? Can it be possible to go in and out from my country during one travel day using the inbound/outbound?
From my previous research, IC201 doesn’t require reservations for eurail users However, my eurail app now says reservation is needed. I want to cut the cost of reserving through eurail, and directly do it with the train company. I saw on another community post that this can be done through db or obb website. However, both says reservations not available. Any other way for me to make a reservation?
Hello,I'm going on my first solo trip and I want to go to Oslo, Norway by train from Nantes, France. However, I can't figure out how the interrail site works and I'm afraid I might be making a mistake. I have the impression that I have to buy the 4-day pass for 1 month for 194 euros and that I have to pay extra to book the seats on the trains (I'm changing trains 6 times).Except that I'm leaving on 5 July, in barely a week's time. And I know that you often have to book seats in advance, so I'm afraid there won't be any left. So I'm hesitating whether to buy the pass and take the plane instead (which is really the worst case scenario, because I don't want to). If I buy the pass, am I sure I'll be able to go to Oslo with it next week? Because I can’t book a seat without having bought a pass.Thank you in advance for your reply. :)All the best,Marion
I'm looking for reservations in France for august. Deutsche Bahn said, there are no reservations left anymore.I don't have a pass yet because maybe I won't go by interrail. Therefore I can't check, if there are reservations left.I thougt that maybe there are reservations left on the interrail page. Does somebody know if there is a interrail reservation budget?
I just booked reservations (2) for Lyria 9270 from Lausanne to Dijon in September. We were assigned side-by-side seats, but on the upper level of the carriage. Also, there are better seats available in other cars with club seating with a table. We are not happy with the seat assignment since we are both over 75 and don’t want to carry luggage up and down the steps in the carriage. Eurail needs to step up their game and allow either active seat selection or ask for seat preferences. I’m trying to contact them now to see if the seats can be changed. Any advice?
My Eurostar was delayed and so I missed the connection in Brussels to go to Köln. I got a HTONAT endorsement form the Eurostar and wanted to get on the next train (to make my connection to Berlin), but the staff on the Thalys insisted that I had to pay for a reservation to go on it, even though no reservation would have been needed to take the earlier ICE had I not been delayed. Is this correct?
I will be arriving in Spain September 21. Eurail says in order to get a seat reservation for a Spanish train that isn't available on their website, I need to go to a train station when I arrive in Spain or call the Renfe office. My questions are:1. I want to go from Granada to Ronda on the 29th and there is only one reasonable train per day (2 hrs. vs. 4½ hrs.). Is it highly likely that I will be able to get a seat reservation on that train on the 29th by going to the train station in Madrid on the 21st? 2. The Eurail website says: “Pre-reserving a seat is possible. You will receive a PNR code which you must use to pick up and pay for your reservation at a local station ticket office, making sure to show your Eurail Pass. After the booking, you must collect your reservation within 72 hours. The reservation can only be booked up to 24 hours before the train departure time. After this time the pre-reservation will expire." This makes no sense to me. How can I collect my reservation
