Hey there,might be a stupid question, but it really matters to me.I have a 2 month global pass and in the Railplanner-App it says “Activate this pass by 19th April”. Just to make sure: I can activate it ON the 19th april, right? I dont have to do it UNTIL 19th April?I am a bit nervous about my trip, so I just wanted to make sure not to be 1 Day too late :DThank you very much.P.

Does it matter that I can’t book on the Eurail pass site and therefore can’t see the trips on my pass app? Both times I have booked a night train.The first from Berlin to Budapest we had to have a seat reservation and booked it through OBB using our pass details. Then the second, from Amsterdam to Zurich, showed it was available and included but wouldn’t let me choose it to make the seat reservation that was recommended - ie my cart was empty. So I have also booked on OBB. Just wondering if it matters that I can’t book them on my pass. Or if I am doing something wrong/not seeing something obvious in the process.Thanks, any help appreciated!

I have a reservation made on České dráhy on the EC 459 train departing from Basel SBB to Leipzig bhf. I cannot find this train on the interrail planner to add it to my pass. However, the EN 40459 train shows up, which is the same train (different carriages I think). Is there a problem adding the EN40459 to my pass but boarding on the EC 459? Thanks in advance.

I’m travelling from hamburg to copenhagen and i have to transfer in Odense and go to Slagelse. It is written on the app ‘train’ but also ‘BUS6140’ near it. So do i take the bus or the train? 

I’m a student from outside Europe studying abroad (on exchange) in Switzerland for 4 months. I just bought a Global Pass for a trip to Germany but noticed belatedly that I had bought the Interrail pass instead of the Eurail one, probably because I indicated Switzerland as my country of residence. I have not yet received my residence card, but I do have proof of registration at the Resident’s Office here. Seeing as I will likely have to activate my pass on 6/7 Apr (in a few days), I am a bit anxious and would like to seek reassurance that I don’t have to exchange my Interrail pass for an Eurail one. In short, can I use the Interrail pass I bought despite not having a European passport? I really don’t want to get fined.

My daughter is traveling and I’m at home trying to help her. She is in London and needs to get to Barcelona. She has the 15 days in 2 months global pass. We do not understand the app or where she needs to go to get her seat reservations. Can someone make this simple for us and explain it step by step? thank you! 

I saw that some travels need “seat reservation”, how can I make this reservation ?

Hi, I am coming to Italy on 18-April. Have to travel from Florence to Fiumicino airport. My flight is at 10pm. I have time from 10am in the morning at Florence. I thought of exploring Vatican city on the way. I want to drop my luggage in a station (may be Roma termini)  before I can explore the city and collect it later while going to airport. What is the cheap and best option to travel and explore the city?

Hello travelers! How are you? I am a Brazilian traveler, but, i never use the Eurail Pass. I'm going to travel around some countries in Europe, but in Italy I intend to visit more cities (Venice, Bologna, Modena,...). In that case, can I use the Eurail Pass Global inside Italy? Another question about this. I wanna buy the Eurail Pass Global 22 days. Do these days count even if I don't use it on my trip for a few days? for example I'm going to Italy and spend 3 days there without using my Pass, in this case, do the 3 days count or not?

I spent more than an hour trying to book all the reservations for our trip to Europe in April/May.  I go to check-out and says one reservation is no longer available!!  After an hour?  Okay, but it doesn’t say which.  Frustrating.  I try to click back to see if at any point it tells me which reservation is no longer available,  but no, it does not!   Instead, it empties my cart,I wish I had not purchased the Eurail Pass.  The last time I purchased, back in 2018, it was great.  You could speak to someone, spend time with them booking reservations, etc.  Now you get an email back in two days!!  And the reservation prices are all over the place - much more than they said on website.  Plus, a $5 fee per reservation!  

I am trying to make seat reservations for trains from Paris to Lucerne on 7th May 2023. One leg is Paris Est to Strasbourg (France) on ICE9571 leaving Paris Est at 6:55 am.  Even though it shows up in the search with reservation cost, when I go forward and fill in the passenger details, it fails with “‘One of the legs of your journey is not available anymore” error. I am not able to confirm and pay for the reservation. I have searched for topics in the community (thanks for that, there are a lot of good info available) and when I tried to book directly on the train company website but there also I couldn’t go forward. I am attaching a few screenshots below.1/ What is the best way to move forward? I also have a couple of related question.2/ When I planed the trip on eurail.com (not logged in) it showed USD12.80 as the 2nd class seat reservation fee. But, after logging in, for the same train it shows USD24.00 as the fee. In both the searches I have “Included in Pass” filter selected. Som

Hi, I have read previous responses however we are having difficulty obtaining/paying for our seat reservations. We have booked all legs of our journey only to realise that the seat reservations have not been made, and cannot work out how to do this. Is there are simple explanation of instructions please? Hi All,I’m new to this way of travelling and a bit confused about how I can reserve a night train from Zurich to Prague on May 10th 2023. There’s no availability on the interrail site but there is on other sites. How do I book this and can I use my global pass with these other companies? If I can, how do I go about this.Thanks

We are boarding the 20.28 nightjet from Amsterdam to Zurich tomorrow and wondered what is the earliest you can board the train? We have a bunch of kids so hope to get them settled in their bunks as early as possible. Any advice welcomed, thanks

We left it too late to book seat reservations from Frankfurt to Zurich for family of 4! Any tips to finding seats or seats we can use that don’t need a reservation?

Hi everybody, so sorry for the newbie question. I want to get a refund for my pass, but: - I need to change the validity date (which is tomorrow! argh) - So I need to delete my trip but: “This trip can’t be deleted. There are travelers in this trip. Please delete the travelers first, then delete this trip” - But when I try to delete the traveler (myself), any options with the traveler are grayed out and I can’t edit anything.  This has been a really miserable experience - any suggestions or assistance would be super appreciated. I know my pass isn’t eligible for a refund once the start date comes (tonight at midnight) so I am stressing and my emails to customer service haven’t been answered.  

Help!!  I have 2 first class passes.I cannot book reservations for two legs of my journey Copenhagen to Hamburg on April 23, depart at 11:01, a direct train and Hanover to Copenhagen on May 7.  depart 11:20am, with connection in Hamburg. I can put the reservations in my cart but when I get to the step of paying, it tells me “Error - One of the legs of your journey is not available anymore.  Please try searching for another connection.”When I go back to make a reservation, it again says there is availability and this nightmare starts again.  

We are traveling from Rome to Florence and then Florence to Milan.  What is the best way to make reservations on the high speed trains?

Hello ! Unclear explanation for me if you have to add journeys in Northern Ireland & Ireland. Scrolling down in "Options" doesn't give me somewhere the opportunity to add train stations in these countries. Could you please clarify ? Thanks !

Hey. There s no way they are sold out. They just opened for booking 3 hours ago. On OBB you can buy full ticket sleeper but no tickets available when ‘seat only’. I will go personally to station, maybe they are only few. Couchette lets me buy tho. Error :” One of the legs of your journey could not be booked” just before purchasing. 1st of July: Wien-Bukarest 19:42-15:05 Please let me know your opinion. Thanks!
