Last year we used our Global first class Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Collioure - this year we wanted to do the same!!! travelling from Paris to Sete on the same train - the intercities de nuit 5741 but it now says that it’s not valid for our Global first class Eurarail pass!!! is this correct? has there been a change in the last 12 months?

I will be travelling from Interlaken OST to Brig Bahnhofplatz to board the PE900 Glacier Express.However I am unable to find any train from  Interlaken OST or Interlaken West to Brig Bahnhofplatz.Though I could find trains to Brig.How far is Brig Bahnhofplatz station from Brig station where IC957 stops? Regards 

Will the Italy train strike affect the nightjet from vienna to rome? Have ticket for Sunday evening June 15, arriving 10:05 am in Rome on June 16.

Hi everyone,I'm having a frustrating issue with my Eurail Global Pass, and I'm hoping someone here can help or share experience.Here’s my situation: everything is already booked and non-refundable, so I can’t change my itinerary. My trip is:Bordeaux → London → Copenhagen → BordeauxAll of this was planned carefully to save money using the Pass.Now the problems: ✅ The first leg Bordeaux → London uses my outbound day, which makes sense as I’m leaving my country of residence (France). ❌ Then I go London → Copenhagen, without stopping in France at all. Still, the app tries to use an inbound or outbound day, probably just because the train crosses French territory. That doesn’t seem fair, since I don’t board, exit, or stop in France. ❌ Finally, Copenhagen → Bordeaux takes over 25 hours and includes a scheduled stop in Strasbourg. Good morning, I am travelling soon, I thought I was ready but suddenly in the application all trains including regional trains show "Seat reservations required". Same search on the website shows "You're ready to board", just like it was when I added my trip to the planner a week ago. For example, Lille to Amiens via TER.

Dear community,I am about to book seats for my journey from Lille to Luxembourg. From the RP app it shows seat reservations required for trains from Brussel Midi to Brussel Nord then from Nord to Luxembourg, meanwhile on the website it shows “You are ready to board” - I assume this means when you add it to your trip you can hop on that train without booking. I normally use website to make the seat reservation, and from the App it is redirected to the website as well. A bit confused about which instruction I am following please?T.I.Axo Rui 

Traveling June 20 from St. Lazare to Bayeux. From previous posts it appears Eurail passes don’t work on these regional trains? Also it appears we don’t need reservations on these trains? Just checking. Last post from from a while ago and wanted to see if anyone had updated info. Train sites a little confusing.

Hello there,Planning a summer holiday with my kids taking the train from Amsterdam to Basel/Zurich and then further into italy. Can somebody help me understand. If i take an interrail pass, how do i organize the reservation of a nightjet? Is that included, but how do i make sure my booking uses the interrail card? Even if i don’t want to sit there the whole night, but take the sleeping compartment?

I have bought an Interrail passholder fare for TGV9577 Paris Est - Karlsruhe. Due to a change in timetable I need to extend my journey to finish in Munich.Can I:Extend the passholder fare that I already have to cover the new destination? OR Buy a separate seat reservation for the Karlsruhe / Munich section? (Ideally booking the same seat so I don’t have to move...)A timetable search indicates that a seat reservation for this service from Karlsruhe to Munich is actually optional. Is that correct?(Further details in case they matter: travelling on a second glass global interrail pass. This is for a family of 5, so keeping the same seats would be *really* helpful!) Thanks!

We are travelling from Budapest to Cluj-Napoca but have to change from a comfortable sleeper train at Simeria with a 4 hour stopover  onto a domestic 4 hour journey to Cluj. Has anyone done this trip? Is the local train a decent experience? And is there anything to do in Simeria during the stopover between 07:00 and 11:00?

My wife and I each have first-class passes for travel in Italy this summer. In making our seat reservations, we were apparently randomly assigned to seats rather than getting seats next to each other. Any way to rectify this? If we’re stuck with those for now, how do we avoid it on future reservations? Grazie.

Hi,we are in northern Spain right now and some trains are shown in the railplanner but in the office of Renfe they told us, we can not use them. This is very confusing because we relied on the app.Does anybody know why they show these trains?thank you in advance

it's one week that I try to complete my booking form; everytime I put the photo of my passport and they say they're checking it, but the next days it's like disappeard and it says that i didn't complete the booking yet.

I would like to go from Bochum to London on the first day of my passport. I have to change the train in Cologne. However, I would like to take a train earlier than the automatically indicated train from Bochum to Cologne. Can I enter two separate rides within Germany? Or does he just accept a total connection in your own country? Question is solved. Sorry.

Hello,is it possible to get from Bayonne/Hendaye (Fr) to Vigo (Sp) in one day via Bilbao or other northern Spanish city to avoid Madrid?I’m looking to travel 1 July 2025 but searching for dates before then (eg in 2 days time) as I know many routes are still not live. However, even when I search for the next few days/weeks, no routes at all are showing.I’m trying to avoid Barcelona and Madrid as I travel from London to Braga in Portugal (hence wanting to get to Vigo and cross the Spain/Portugal border there).Thanks for any creative travel tips!Julia

I’m planning to travel to Sicily in june and want to take the night train back from Siracusa to Milan on june 24. However, when looking for availability on raileurope or italiarail, thay can't sell me a reservation for this train on that day. When going to the Trenitalia website, it shows that the train is running, bus not being bookable. Does anyone know why this might be the case? Engineering works? On the dates before and after june 24 the train is bookable, but only couchettes, sleepers are not available. This is the case for the whole of june and a large part of may. It seems that may 14 is the last day for which a sleeper compartment can be bought. Are these completely axed from the Milan - Sicily route during the summer?

Hello, i am new to European train travel but i have a trip to Italy booked in August. The first leg of my trip is taking me from Milan to Rome on 23rd August, but when i search for the journey the train i want (08:30 from Milan Centrale) is showing along with the seat reservation costs but when i click to book i get the below message:"No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable."I find it hard to beleive that these seats have aold out, as they have only just become available, after months of checking. I am also positive that it is not something i am doing at my end as i have successfully managed to book other journeys from Rome to Naples and Naples to Florence.  Can anybody offer any assistance?

Arrive into Malmo In August, have 2 weeks left to explore Europe but want to keep travel times minimal unless we use a sleeper. We have travelled from London, through Amsterdam, Berlin and arrived in Malmo.

Can I use my travel days freely, or do they have to be booked in advance?I’m not sure if with the app i “buy” a train ticket or just generate a general ticket that it is possible to use for every train route, like a passepartout. Example of what i need:I want to go from A to B on the 18th of july. i manage to plan this on the app but on the 17th of july (or even 18th morning) i change my mind and i have to go from point A to point C. Hallo,ich plane gerade eine lange Reise. Ich wohne selbst im Norden des Ruhrpotts. Ich würde mit meinem D-Ticket nach Kiel fahren, wo ich dann auf die Fähre nach Oslo steigen möchte. Dort würde dann eine lange Reise bis hoch nach Bodo starten. Dazu jeweils den Nachtzug nach Trondheim und dann die Nordlandbahn.Anschließend wäre entweder mit dem Bus oder über die Hurtigroute und kurzer Busfahrt die Fahrt nach Narvik angesagt. Von dort würde ich mit dem Nachtzug zurück nach Stockholm und weiter nach Malmö. Von dort wollte ich dann mit dem Nachtzug in einem Rutsch durch nach Innsbruck fahren.Die Reise würde sogar noch weiter bis Lausanne und zum Ätna gehen und knapp 12.000 km Gesamtlänge haben. Durch Ostfrankreich und Benelux geht es über Amsterdamm dann zurück ins Ruhrgebiet.Meine Frage ist: Würde für die Reise im Nachtzug von Malmö nach Innsbruck einer der In/Outbound-Tage gezählt? (Deutsche Halte wären zwar in Hamburg und München-Ost, aber ich halt schlafend auf gesamter Strecke an Bord
