Already bought Eurailpasses, but bought seat reservations through National train companies. Can i add the seat reservations to the Eurail app? if so, how is this done?

Mother/daughter trip to Europe in July, and it’s been a long time since I used Eurail (going back to the old punch card days!). I’m using the option to “Plan your Trip” on the Eurail site. I have not booked our Eurail passes, but leaning toward the first-class 5-day pass for the following… Paris to Interlaken : Interlaken to Venice : Venice to Innsbrook :  Innsbrook to MunichQuestion 1I feel silly asking, but how do I know there will be seats available for the stops noted above? Back in the day, we just winged it, but now I have my 14 year old daughter with me and I’m making hotel reservations in advance. We’re traveling in July and I know it’s super busy.Question 2 A reservation is required for Paris to Belfort, and it notes that I need to buy a seat reservation onboard. Anyway to buy in advance? Help to plan to explore for amsterdam leaving from brussels 

Trip from Ghent St Pieters, Belgium to Paris du Nord. Train itinerary in eurail  has me just making a 15 min transfer to take train from Brussels Midi to Paris Nord but also states that I should allow extra time for boarding. Does this mean I should not book this in one go, and consider making this two separate train routes in the itinerary. One from Ghent to Brussels Midi and a separate one from Midi to Paris to allow more transfer time? How early I should be there before train departs?  

Hi, I put my tickets in my account on the app. so all my tickets are in the railplanner. But I cannot put them on the sktop version of my account. The tickets where bought by my husband under his name and his emailadres. But I put the tickets ON MY PLANNER APP. That didn’t seem to be a problem. BUt now I cannot see the tickets in my account on the desktop on my laptop. SO how can I CONNECT APP and DESKTOP?

j, ai réservé un train pour Budapest-Nyuagati Prague hlavni nadrazi pour le mardi 8 juillet (11:30 arrivée 18:15) et j’ai le QRC code sur l’appli EUdiscover (il y a marqué que c’est le billet à présenter pour l’inspection). J’ai voulu réserver des places assises ( non obligatoires) mais à l’heure tout pile il y a marqué qu’il y avait déjà plus de places… Comment je fais? Est-ce que je peux tout de même aller dans le train avec mon QRcode ? ou Est-ce que le billet ne fonctionne pas pour le train ? Autre question, pour les prochains trains où les places assises sont obligatoires, comment cela se passse si je n’arrive pas à avoir de places assises mais que j’ai tout de même le billet QRcode sur l’appli?Merci d’avance

Our group of friends is going to travel europe during this summer. We have encountered a problem of comprehension of the way de system of travel days works. In our case we want to take an itinerary from Budapest to Split and we have to take multiple trains to get there. The case is that we had taken a 4 days pass, and we don’t understand if the fact that we are travelling at night and travelling in different trains is considered just one day of travel or if it is considered 2 days of travel. It’s important to specify that these trains transfers are not only during the night (before 00.00) but also after 00.00. Someone could please help us understand if it’s 1 travel  day or 2?? Thank you

I’m using a Eurail Global Pass (15 days) and wanted to confirm: Does my Eurail Global Pass cover this route? If yes, is a seat reservation mandatory, or can I just board the train using my pass? Any tips on which train service (LNER, Avanti, etc.) is best for scenery or ease of reservation? Appreciate any guidance or experience you can share — thank you!

I am a first time Eurail user. I am using the planer to go from Luxembourg to Heidelberg and it say there is a replacement bus. Is that normal and if so will my Eurail pass be accepted?

Hello, i was going to reserve seats for my friend and I for 3rd august, from barcelona to lyon but it says sold out. However, i find it odd that it is sold out so quickly. Is it possible to head down the train station in Spain and reserve the seats etc still? I can head down to a train station in Bilbao but not Barcelona though, and do i need my friend’s passport etc? Do advise thanks!!

La première fois que j'avais voyagé en InterRail direction l'Allemagne j'avais réservé une place assise sur le site Interrail mais j'ai entendu que c'était pas le mieux. Sur le site de la deutschban (DB) j'ai vu des places pour 5,20€ mais ça me paraît vraiment pas cher, mais ça correspond bien à ma recherche pour Montpellier - Strasbourg. Après Strasbourg je prendrais des trains sans réservation obligatoire.  Sur Rail Europe j'ai vu 10€ mais j'ai vu des commentaires pas très bien sur ce site, est-ce vraiment fiable ? Quel site me conseillez-vous pour réserver une place assise pour France-Allemagne ? Merci beaucoup !

 Buenos días !! Debo consultar un tramo de mi viaje. Quisiera saber qué aconsejan.Tengo Pasaje en el Bernina express desde tirano a chur para el día 29 de mayo, pero una vez que baje en chur debo ir a Lauterbrunnen.El bernina sirve para ese trayecto o bien utilizo un pase de mi eurail 30 días ? 

Hi there, I am looking at a day trip from Würzburg to Rothenburg ob der Tauber on the 18/10/2025. From the DB website, I will need to take RE10, RB81, RB82 with a total journey time of 2h 10m. But yet if I go back to the 9/10/2025 and earlier, there is the RE80 available which will shorten the trip by an hour. Is the RE80 on some sort of seasonal schedule?ThanksJackson

I want to book reservation for Jungfraujoch early as it may be sold out fast. But I prefer to book the tickets later when I am certain of the weather conditions.  Normally, it is fine to book both separately but I checked with AI which says that to secure the 25% discount offered to EURAIL pass holders one must book both the reservation and tickets together ss a bundle  Is that true?

First time using Eurail in 35 years so a bit rusty with destinations.  I have purchased Frankfurt - Berlin tickets for myself and family.  When I selected it had Berlin (any stop) but the ticket says Berlin Suedkreuz.  Do you know if we can get off at Central Station?  Or do you need to get off at the exact stop? Thank you (I have messaged Eurail help but as we leave in 2 days I am getting a bit anxious) 

Hi travelers! I'm about to go on my first interrail with friends and one of my concerns is what bag I should use. I have 2 options; 1. A hiking backpack with waiststraps, opens at the top 2. A weekend bag without waiststraps, but opens like a suitcas Both are around 40-50 litersI am grateful for all kinds of help!

Hi!Me and my girlfriend are planning to go on a trip with the Interrail global pass between July 4-10. We have looked up some routes, though on some days we have to change trains to reach our next destination. Our concern is that we may not we able to catch the next train if the first train arrives late due to the transfer time being 15 minutes. I have two questions about this:1:If we miss our transfer because the first train was late can we get a refound or some compensation on the seat-reservations?2: On the pictures below you can see the routes and the trains we would like to take. Do you think we can transfer from one train to another without any problems? Are delays greater than 10 minutes common on these lines?Thank you for your answers. 

I am travelling from Lecco to Ventimiglia in early September 2025.  The schedule in July has a direct train from Milan to Ventimiglia but the trains in September require changing 2-3 times.  Are the schedules that are there now what they will be for September or will they get updated again? Would prefer to have a direct train from Milan.

I purchased three Global passes and they are showing different information. Two of them are showing that we have now used 3/10 days and day 4 as “available”. The third one is showing 3/10 days used as well but shows “May 10” under day 4. Why isn’t it showing as available and will it cause any issue? Thank you 

   Hi all, I have been hearing mix things about what is covered and not in eurorail pass for the above two trips. Some of the routes in this area was recently added maybe. Hi, I’m trying to reserve a seat (have a global pass) from Milan to Nice on 21st August. I understand that reservations should be bookable now being less than 4 months away. The maninseat61 site says to go via Ventimiglia but no results come up. When I try to search for Milan>Ventimiglia in case the French trains aren’t reservable, it says I have to change to Torino but I thought it should be direct?Is there something else I need to try?

Hi all,I’m trying to work out a route from London to Zagreb at the beginning of August. There will be 4 (with 2 older teenagers) of us and we are meeting friends in Croatia.We would have already used our In and Out of home country ticket at this point from an earlier planned trip into Europe. Now I am trying to work out a route down to Zagreb - we have 5 days to use on our passes. I am assuming Eurostar is our best route in and out as well. I did wonder if it would be cheaper to Eurotunnel into France and park up. I could not find anything on this plan, and I know this takes away the rail adventure.My first thoughts were to head to Munich, Vienna, Budapest and then Zagreb - I think this may be too much for a week. My partner really wants to go into the Alps but we are concerned by the prices of Switzerland so could maybe do 1 night there. I was hoping for advice on a nice route to Zagreb which could get the Alps in and Vienna as well. Hi everyone,I am planning for our first trip to Europe, and I have a few questions around seat reservations that I haven’t been able to find the answers for so far. I hope someone can assist me on this.1.    Apart from Eurostar, what other trains have limited seats available for pass holder? I will be travelling on the following trains:IC ICE EC RJX2.    When I book my seat reservations directly with the rail companies (e.g. OBB, DB, CD etc), do I have to explicitly specify that I will be using a Eurail pass? For DB and CD (Czech), I don’t see where I can select Eurail pass during the seat reservation process. As for OBB, I can only see I can add “Interrail/Eurail – Globalpass” as a “discount” during the process but I don’t know whether that is necessary/relevant. I am trying avoid surprises as much as possible, thanks for any assistance in advance. 😀ThanksJackson
