We are a family of four from Germany, and this summer we will embark on our first-ever Interrail trip. Together with our seven- and eight-year-old children, we will travel from near Bremen via the usual route through Copenhagen and Malmö to Stockholm, then continue to Östersund, and from there to a small station located along the Inlandsbanan. To all those who have traveled with children: is it better to travel during the day with an overnight stop, or should we dare to take on the adventure of a night train journey? I’m looking forward to your feedback.

Hello,I’m currently planning a trip from Montpellier (France) to Umeå (Sweden).The thing is that the Rail Planner proposes a 24 minutes connection time in Hamburg Hbf, and it seems like a tight one.I’ve heard a lot from other travelers that German trains are often late 😅 So I’m a bit afraid, as this is the connection to take our big Euro Night from Hamburg to Stockholm. Hi! My friends and I are planning the Interrail. We must go from Venice on August 14th and return to Venice on August 19th (we have the flights booked). Hi Team,We are a group of 5 people and planning to travel to switzerland from Netherlands on 2 April 2025 Evening.Further, we have to come back to Netherlands on 6 April 2025.Below are the journeys that I found suitable for us: I have the following questions:I have residence card of netherlands (I am not the citizen) so I can purchase Interrail pass of Switzerland instead of Global pass? I wanted to ask anyone that has booked seats using OEBB. Usually on other timings they provide a seat reservation as I checked but for this one there isn’t an option. Does anyone know if OEBB assign seats together when booking for multiple passengers?

Do my payments for reservations get deducted from my Eurail balance?If this is meant to happen it’s not working.Please help.

I will be travelling from June 8 (arriving in Amsterdam) and then leaving Zurich on July 11. I am thinking of getting a 7 days within a month pass. As a senior the price is $310US (15% discount promotion till April 1).  Given that, I should start to use my pass on June 11. I will train from Amsterdam to Germany. Then to Austria (Vienna, Salzberg, Schladming - all one day),  Zurich, Zermatt and back to Zurich to fly home.In Zermatt, all the funicular, gondolas and railway rides are not covered by the Eurail pass. I will have to get a Peak to Peak Pass ( 2 days for $260CHF)to see the sights. If I have the Swiss half fare card ($137 US), I can get 50% discount on the Peak to Peak Pass. The transportation cost is starting to add up (Eurail, Peak to Peak).  Should I purchase individual train tickets instead? Will it normally be cheaper? For example, Amsterdam to Dusseldorf (Germany) will be $75 US per person with the cancellation option.  Thanks,Joyce

I have paid for the reservations, but I haven't received the reservation email because I don't have space in my email address. Can I change my email address to another address and have the PDF with the reservations sent to me again?

My son loves travelling and discovering new countries. He turns 13 this July and a couple of years ago we agreed that for his 13th birthday we would do a big trip together.I'm looking for:A. Central Europe route suggestions that cover a good number of countriesB. Scandinavian route suggestions that include FinlandWe are planning to be travelling for 14 days. Hello,Five days ago I purchased a 5-day within 1-month 1st class pass for EUR404.  I have not activated the pass, but I did use the pass number to make several seat reservations at RailEurope.Today, Eurail has a 15% off sale, so the same pass is only EUR344 today.  Because it has been less than 7 days since I purchased it, I can request a full refund, and then re-purchase at the sale price.But, the new pass will have  a new pass number.  Can I still use the seat reservations that I made with the current pass, or will I lose those seat reservations and need to re-purchase them?Thanks,Bennett

I have an idea on using the pass but I’m not quite sure if this works. So I’m planning to hit 13 cities in 2 months which is like 12 travel days but getting a pass for (15 travel days) is considerably expensive compared to the 10 travel day pass. Could I just buy regular tickets for the two cheapest destinations in my planner and use the 10 travel day on the most expensive train rides?. Cause I never done interail and was wondering whether they would be a problem if I started a travel day on a city that I never got off with the pass if that makes sense

We are a family of 3 and although frequent train travelers in Europe, this is the first time we are using the Interrail pass and… we are a bit confused. :)We will be traveling on the 5th of July using the Global Pass 7 days in a month in its mobile pass version. The outbound journey is from Vienna Hbf to Peschiera del Garda, which we want to do using the NJ233 (direct).It’s peak summer and a Saturday to boot, so we thought of reserving the tickets asap. Reservations are already available on the OeBB website for this journey (I’m able to buy the ticket using the Interrail discount as shown in your instructions and videos), but the NJ233 does not show up on the Planner in the App for that date. My question is, after buying the reservation on the OeBB website, how to I add this journey to my trip? Should I do it manually, or just wait till it becomes available on the Planner and then add it? I’m under the impression that I need to have this journey on my trip (and that of my family member

I am going on an eurotrip with my girlfriend but i am running into a few problems. one of them is reserving a train seat. When i try to reserve one i get one of two messages.-sold outthe other is-Too early to check for seats.Start checking 150 days before this journey's departure or search for an earlier date. Today i tried buying tickets for the 7th of august but i think i was too late. I want to know what i can do so i wont have a problem.

Hey,I‘d like to travel through my homecountry, specifically through Germany, because I travel from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. I don’t need the outbound journey in the beginning of my pass (I start in the Uk). Is it possible for me to have the so-called outbound on travelday 3,4,5,… and is it possible to travel through my homecountry with the Interrail pass anyway? thanks for your help!!

I did some homework and  I will save some money, even with the Seat reservation fees, plus the freedom to change plans.Question 1: to use/show the e-pass on your phone do I need an internet connection? This is because I do not have the phone that I’ll use in Italy at the moment, and I’m doingn everything on may australian phone. Hello! Having decided to go interrailing in early 2024, I’ve taken no action so far, which is really ridiculous! This is probably not unconventional at all, but is it unwise at all to just book a pass with no sense of dates? I’m in a position where I could take a month or so off to go travelling and just think that booking the pass will actually spur me to take action. Does anyone have any advice on this approach? Does booking a pass with absolutely no planning work? For a bit more context, I have about €2300 saved for this trip. Now thinking €3000 might be more realistic… Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone !This summer, I would like to go to Stockholm with my partner and our two daughters. Our departure will be Paris.I have many questions for the community to better plan our trip:At the time of the trip, our daughters will have 10 months and 3 years → so they won’t need a pass to travel, right? On the web, I saw different possibilities to join Stockholm from Paris.  Paris → Cologne → Hambourg → Copenhague → Stockholm or Paris → Düsseldorf → Hambourg → Stockholm. Has anyone ever done one of these two journeys? What type of pass do you recommend to us?

My family and I are arriving in Nice on the night train from Paris in late July. We then wish to travel to Rome. What is the best way to do this? Ideally we would visit Florence on the way. Or, take another night train from somewhere? Thank you

How do I book seat reservations with GWR in the UK? There is no seat reservations to choose from, only tickets to buy?! read ACP cost and reservations should be free within UK.Thank you 😊
